In this paper we consider the problem of deformation quantization of the algebra of polynomial functions on coadjoint orbits of semisimple lie groups. The deformation of an orbit is realized by taking the quotient of the universal enveloping algebra of the Lie algebra of the given Lie group, by a suitable ideal. A comparison with geometric quantization in the case of SU(2) is done where both methods agree.
In this paper we make a review of the results obtained in previous works by the authors on deformation quantization of coadjoint orbits of semisimple Lie groups. We motivate the problem with a new point of view of the well known Moyal-Weyl deformation quantization. We consider only semisimple orbits. Algebraic and differential deformations are compared.

In this paper we describe a multiparameter deformation of the function algebra of a semisimple coadjoint orbit. In the first section we use the representation of the Lie algebra on a generalized Verma module to quantize the Kirillov bracket on the family of semisimple coadjoint orbits of a given orbit type. We study relations between the two-parameter $\U_q(sl(n))$-invariant deformation quantization on $sl^*(n)$ and the reflection equation algebra. The latter is described by a quantum permutation on $\End(\C^n)$ given explicitly. The reflection equation algebra is used for constructing the one-parameter quantization on coadjoint orbits, including symmetric and certain bisymmetric and nilpotent ones. Our approach is based on embedding the quantized function algebras on the orbits into the algebra of functions on the quantum group $SL_q(n)$ via reflection equation algebra characters.

The quantization of vector bundles is defined. Examples are constructed for the well controlled case of equivariant vector bundles over compact coadjoint orbits. (Coadjoint orbits are symplectic spaces with a transitive, semisimple symmetry group.) In preparation for the main result, the quantization of coadjoint orbits is discussed in detail. This subject should not be confused with the quantization of the total space of a vector bundle such as the cotangent bundle.
For $\g=sl(n)$ we construct a two parametric $U_h(\g)$-invariant family of algebras, $(S\g)_{t,h}$, which defines a quantization of the function algebra $S\g$ on the coadjoint representation and in the parameter $t$ gives a quantization of the Lie bracket. The family induces a two parametric deformation of the function algebra of any maximal orbit which is a quantization of the Kirillov-Kostant-Souriau bracket in the parameter $t$. In addition we construct a quantum de Rham complex on $\g^*$.
Deformation quantization and geometric quantization on Kähler manifolds give the mathematical description of the algebra of quantum observables and the Hilbert spaces respectively, where the later forms a representation of quantum observables asymptotically via Toeplitz operators. When there is a Hamiltonian $G$-action on a Kähler manifold, there are associated symmetries on both the quantum algebra and representation aspects. We show that in nice cases of coadjoint orbits and Kähler-Einstein manifolds, these symmetries are strictly compatible (not only asymptotically).
In our previous paper, we constructed an explicit GL(n)-equivariant quantization of the Kirillov--Kostant-Souriau bracket on a semisimple coadjoint orbit. In the present paper, we realize that quantization as a subalgebra of endomorphisms of a generalized Verma module. As a corollary, we obtain an explicit description of the annihilators of generalized Verma modules over U(gl(n)). As an application, we construct real forms of the quantum orbits and classify finite dimensional representations. In this paper we construct a deformation quantization of the algebra of polynomials of an arbitrary (regular and non regular) coadjoint orbit of a compact semisimple Lie group. The deformed algebra is given as a quotient of the enveloping algebra by a suitable ideal.
We construct by geometric methods a noncommutative model E of the algebra of regular functions on the universal (2-fold) cover M of certain nilpotent coadjoint orbits O for a complex simple Lie algebra g. Here O is the dense orbit in the cotangent bundle of the generalized flag variety X associated to a complexified Cartan decomposition g=(p^+)+k+(p^-) where p^+- are Jordan algebras by the TKK construction. The aim of this article is to give a quantization of some coisotropic subalgebras in complex semisimple Lie bialgebras. The coisotropic subalgebras that will be quantized are those given by Zambon in his paper "`A Construction for coisotropic subalgebras of Lie Bialgebras"' [Zam08]. We will also extend the construction for the exceptional complex semisimple Lie bialgebras.

In this paper an algebraic star product and differential one defined on a regular coadjoint orbit of a compact semisimple group are compared. It is proven that there is an injective algebra homomorphism between the algebra of polynomials with the algebraic star product and the algebra of differential functions with the differential star product structure.
We provide an explicit quantization of dynamical r-matrices for semisimple Lie algebras, classified earlier by the third author, which includes the Belavin-Drinfeld r-matrices. We do so by constructing an appropriate (dynamical) twist in the tensor square of the Drinfeld-Jimbo quantum group U_q(g), which twists the R-matrix of U_q(g) into the desired quatization. We develop a categorical approach to the dynamical Yang-Baxter equation (DYBE) for arbitrary Hopf algebras. In particular, we introduce the notion of a dynamical extension of a monoidal category, which provides a natural environment for quantum dynamical R-matrices, dynamical twists, {\em etc}. We consider a class of homogeneous manifolds including all semisimple coadjoint orbits. We describe manifolds of that class admitting deformation q uantizations equivariant under the action of $G$ and the corresponding quantum group. We also classify Poisson brackets relating to such quantizations.
In this paper we study a family of algebraic deformations of regular coadjoint orbits of compact semisimple Lie groups with the Kirillov Poisson bracket. The deformations are restrictions of deformations on the dual of the Lie algebra. We prove that there are non isomorphic deformations in the family. The star products are not differential, unlike the star products considered in other approaches. We make a comparison with the differential star product canonically defined by Kontsevich's map.

Let M be a Galois cover of a nilpotent coadjoint orbit of a complex semisimple Lie group. We define the notion of a PERFECT Dixmier algebra for M and show how this produces a graded (non-local) equivariant star product on M with several very nice properties. This is part of a larger program we have been developing for working out the orbit method for nilpotent orbits.
We give a simple geometric description of all formal deformation quantizations on a Kähler manifold $M$ which enjoy the following property of separation of variables into holomorphic and antiholomorphic ones. We prove in this paper that the periodic cyclic homology of the quantized algebras of functions on coadjoint orbits of connected and simply connected Lie group, are isomorphic to the periodic cyclic homology of the quantized algebras of functions on coadjoint orbits of compact maximal subgroups, without localization. Gaudin algebras form a family of maximal commutative subalgebras in the tensor product of $n$ copies of the universal enveloping algebra $U(\g)$ of a semisimple Lie algebra $\g$. This family is parameterized by collections of pairwise distinct complex numbers $z_1,...,z_n$. We obtain some new commutative subalgebras in $U(\g)^{\otimes n}$ as limit cases of Gaudin subalgebras. These commutative subalgebras turn to be related to the hamiltonians of bending flows and to the Gelfand--Tsetlin bases. We use this to prove the simplicity of spectrum in the Gaudin model for some new cases.
Poisson-Lie (PL) dynamical r-matrices are generalizations of dynamical r-matrices, where the base is a Poisson-Lie group. We prove analogues of basic results for these r-matrices, namely constructions of (quasi)Poisson groupoids and of Poisson homogeneous spaces. We introduce a class of PL dynamical r-matrices, associated to nondegenerate Lie bialgebras with a splitting; this is a generalization of trigonometric r-matrices with an abelian base. Given a simple Lie algebra $\gggg$, we consider the orbits in $\gggg^*$ which are of R-matrix type, i.e., which possess a Poisson pencil generated by the Kirillov-Kostant-Souriau bracket and the so-called R-matrix bracket. We call an algebra quantizing the latter bracket a quantum orbit of R-matrix type. We describe some orbits of this type explicitly and we construct a quantization of the whole Poisson pencil on these orbits in a similar way. The notions of q-deformed Lie brackets, braided coadjoint vector fields and tangent vector fields are discussed as well.
In this paper, we construct a quantization functor, associating a complex vector space H(V) to a finite dimensional symplectic vector space V over a finite field of odd characteristic. As a result, we obtain a canonical model for the Weil representation of the symplectic group Sp(V). The main new technical result is a proof of a stronger form of the Stone-von Neumann property for the Heisenberg group. Our result answers, for the case of the Heisenberg group, a question of Kazhdan about the possible existence of a canonical vector space attached to a coadjoint orbit of a general unipotent group…
The coadjoint orbits for the series $B_l,\ C_l$ and $D_l$ are considered in the case when the base point is a multiple of a fundamental weight. A quantization of the big cell is suggested by means of introducing a $\ast$-algebra generated by holomorphic coordinate functions. Starting from this algebraic structure the irreducible representations of the deformed universal enveloping algebra are derived as acting in the vector space of polynomials in quantum coordinate functions.

We define the braided differential algebras which can be interpreted as quantization of the differential operator algebra defined on some algebraic varieties supplied with the action of the group GL(m). The algebra is generated by right invariant or coajoint vector fields. Our main example is gl^*(m) and coadjoint orbits in it. We construct quantization of semisimple conjugacy classes of the exceptional group $G=G_2$ along with and by means of their exact representations in highest weight modules of the quantum group $U_q(\mathfrak{g})$. With every point $t$ of a fixed maximal torus we associate a highest weight module $M_t$ over $U_q(\mathfrak{g})$ and realize the quantized polynomial algebra of the class of $t$ by linear operators on $M_t$. Quantizations corresponding to points of the same orbit of the Weyl group are isomorphic.

Let k be an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. In joint work with J. Cuadra [arxiv.org/abs/1409.1644, arxiv.org/abs/1509.01165], we showed that a semisimple Hopf action on a Weyl algebra over a polynomial algebra k[z_1,...,z_s] factors through a group action, and this in fact holds for any finite dimensional Hopf action if s=0.
