Given any closed Kaehler manifold we define, following an idea by Eugenio Calabi, a Riemannian metric on the space of Kaehler metrics regarded as an infinite dimensional manifold. We prove several geometrical features of the resulting space, some of which we think were already known to Calabi. In particular, the space is a portion of an infinite dimensional sphere and admits explicit unique smooth solutions for the Cauchy and the Dirichlet problems for the geodesic equation.
Convergence of the calabi flow on toric varieties and related Kaehler manifolds
In this short note, we prove that a Calabi extremal Kaehler-Ricci soliton on a compact toric Kaehler manifold is Einstein. This solves for the class of toric manifolds a general problem stated by the authors that they solved only under some curvature assumptions.
We give sufficient conditions for the existence of Kaehler-Einstein and constant scalar curvature Kaehler (cscK) metrics on finite ramified Galois coverings of a cscK manifold in terms of cohomological conditions on the Kaehler classes and the branching divisor. This result generalizes previous work on Kaehler-Einstein metrics by Li-Sun [Comm. Math. Phys. 2014], and extends Chen-Cheng's existence results for cscK metrics in [J. Amer. Math. Soc. 2021].
We prove a regularity result for Monge-Ampère equations degenerate along smooth divisor on Kaehler manifolds in Donaldson's spaces of $β$-weighted functions. We apply this result to study the curvature of Kaehler metrics with conical singularities along divisors and give a geometric sufficient condition on the divisor for its boundedness.
The mobility of a Kaehler metric is the dimension of the space of metrics with which it is c-projectively equivalent. The mobility is at least two if and only if the Kaehler metric admits a nontrivial hamiltonian 2-form. After summarizing this relationship, we present necessary conditions for a Kaehler metric to have mobility at least three: its curvature must have nontrivial nullity at every point. Using the local classification of Kaehler metrics with hamiltonian 2-forms, we describe explicitly the Kaehler metrics with mobility at least three and hence show that the nullity condition on the …
In this paper, authors have established Chen's inequalities for the submanifolds of quaternionic Kaehler manifolds characterized by Ricci quarter-symmetric metric connection. Other than these inequalities, we have also derived generalized normalized Casorati curvature inequalities for the same submanifolds.
In this paper, we investigate the Chern number inequalities on $4$-dimensional Kähler manifolds admitting the deformed Hermitian-Yang-Mills metrics under the assumption $\hatθ\in (π,2π)$.
基于S. K. Donaldson和T.
Any constant-scalar-curvature Kaehler (cscK) metric on a complex surface may be viewed as a solution of the Einstein-Maxwell equations, and this allows one to produce solutions of these equations on any 4-manifold that arises as a compact complex surface with b_1 even. It is shown, however, that not all solutions of the Einstein-Maxwell equations on such manifolds arise in this way; new examples can be constructed by means of conformally Kaehler geometry.
In this paper we give sufficient conditions on a compact orbifold with an extremal Kaehler metric to admit a resolution with an extremal Kaehler metric. We also complete the Kaehler constant scalar curvature case.
We show that if a compact Kaehler manifold $M$ of non-negative Ricci curvature admits closed Fedosov star product then the reduced Lie algebra of holomorphic vector fields on $M$ is reductive. This comes in pair with the obstruction previously found by La Fuente-Gravy. More generally we consider the squared norm of Cahen-Gutt moment map as in the same spirit of Calabi functional for the scalar curvature in cscK problem, and prove a Cahen-Gutt version of Calabi's theorem on the structure of the Lie algebra of holomorphic vector fields for extremal Kaehler manifolds. The proof uses a Hessian for…
In this paper, improving a preceding work, we obtain asymptotic polybalanced kernels associated to extremal Kaehler metrics on polarized algebraic manifolds. As a corollary, we have a stronger asymptotic relative Chow-polystability for extremal Kaehler polarized algebraic manifolds. Finally, related to the Yau-Tian-Donaldson Conjecture for extremal Kaehler metrics, we shall discuss the difference between strong relative K-stability and relative K-stability.
We introduce a new geometric flow of Hermitian metrics which evolves an initial metric along the second derivative of the Chern scalar curvature. The flow depends on the choice of a background metric, it always reduces to a scalar equation and preserves some special classes of Hermitian structures, as balanced and Gauduchon metrics. We show that the flow has always a unique short-time solution and we provide a stability result when the background metric is Kaehler-Einstein with nonpositive scalar curvature.
Page's Einstein metric on CP_2 # (-CP_2) is conformally related to an extremal Kaehler metric. Here we construct a family of conformally Kähler solutions of the Einstein-Maxwell equations that deforms the Page metric, while sweeping out the entire Kaehler cone of CP_2 # (-CP_2).The same method also yields analogous solutions on every Hirzebruch surface. This allows us to display infinitely many geometrically distinct families of solutions of the Einstein-Maxwell equations on the smooth 4-manifolds S^2 x S^2 and CP_2 # (-CP_2).
We review some previous results about the Calabi-Yau equation on the Kodaira-Thurston manifold equipped with an invariant almost-Kaehler structure and assuming the volume form invariant by the action of a torus. In particular, we observe that under some restrictions the problem is reduced to a Monge-Ampère equation by using the ansatz $\tilde ω=Ω-dJdu+da$, where $u$ is a $T^2$-invariant function and $a$ is a $1$-form depending on $u$. Furthermore, we extend our analysis to non-invariant almost-complex structures by considering some basic cases and we finally take into account a generalization …
