We introduce and study elementary properties of graph homology of algebras. This new homology theory shares many features of cyclic and Hochschild homology. We also define a graph K-theory together with an analog of Chern character.
We give a topological construction of graded vertex F-algebras that generalizes Joyce's vertex algebra to complex-oriented homology. Given an H-space X with a BU(1)-action, a certain choice of K-theory class, and a complex oriented homology theory E, we build a graded vertex F-algebra structure on the homology $E_*(X)$ where F is the formal group law associated with E.
The goal of this article is to explicitly compute the Hochschild (co)homology of the Fomin-Kirillov algebra on three generators over a field of characteristic different from 2 and 3. We also obtain the cyclic (co)homology of the Fomin-Kirillov algebra in case the characteristic of the field is zero. Moreover, we compute the algebra structure of the Hochschild cohomology.
Let V be a complete discrete valuation ring with uniformiser p. We introduce an invariant of Banach V-algebras called local cyclic homology. This invariant is related to analytic cyclic homology for complete, bornologically torsionfree V-algebras. It is shown that local cyclic homology only depends on the reduction mod p of a Banach V-algebra and that it is homotopy invariant, matricially stable, and excisive.
We study graded connected algebras over a field of characteristic zero and give an explicit formula for the cyclic homology of a tensor algebra. By means of a slightly new definition of David Anick's notion "strongly free" we are able to prove that cyclic homology of an algebra of global dimension two is zero in homological degree greater than one and is zero also in homological degree equal to one in case the relations are monomials. We give also explicit formulas for the cyclic homology of a tensor algebra modulo one symmetric quadratic form.
We study the Hochschild homology of the convolution algebra of a proper Lie groupoid by introducing a convolution sheaf over the space of orbits. We develop a localization result for the associated Hochschild homology sheaf, and prove that the Hochschild homology sheaf at each stalk is quasi-isomorphic to the stalk at the origin of the Hochschild homology of the convolution algebra of its linearization, which is the transformation groupoid of a linear action of a compact isotropy group on a vector space. We then explain Brylinski's ansatz to compute the Hochschild homology of the transformatio…
In the present paper the cyclic homology functor from the category of $A_\infty$-algebras over any commutative unital ring $K$ to the category of graded $K$-modules is constructed. Further, it is showed that this functor sends homotopy equivalences of $A_\infty$-algebras into isomorphisms of graded modules. As a corollary, it is obtained that the cyclic homology of an $A_\infty$-algebra over any field is isomorphic to the cyclic homology of the $A_\infty$-algebra of homologies for the source $A_\infty$-algebra.
Symmetric homology is a natural generalization of cyclic homology, in which symmetric groups play the role of cyclic groups. In the case of associative algebras, the symmetric homology theory was introduced by Z. Fiedorowicz \cite{F} and was further developed in the work of S. Ault \cite{Au1, Au2}. In this paper, we show that, for algebras defined over a field of characteristic $0$, the symmetric homology theory is naturally equivalent to the (one-dimensional) representation homology theory introduced by the authors (jointly with G. Khachatryan) in \cite{BKR}. Using known results on representa…
We establish exact sequences in $KK$-theory for graded relative Cuntz-Pimsner algebras associated to nondegenerate $C^*$-correspondences. We use this to calculate the graded $K$-theory and $K$-homology of relative Cuntz-Krieger algebras of directed graphs for gradings induced by $\{0,1\}$-valued labellings of their edge sets.
We show that for many semi-hyperbolic groups the decomposition into conjugacy classes of the Hochschild homology of the l^1-rapid decay group algebra is injective.
Hochschild (co)homology and Pirashvili's higher order Hochschild (co)homology are useful tools for a variety of applications including deformations of algebras. When working with higher order Hochschild (co)homology, we can consider the (co)homology of any commutative algebra with symmetric coefficient bimodules, however traditional Hochschild (co)homology is able to be computed for any associative algebra with not necessarily symmetric coefficient bimodules. In a previous paper, the author generalized higher order Hochschild cohomology for multimodule coefficients (which need not be symmetric…
In this paper, we define and study (co)homology theories of a compatible associative algebra $A$. At first, we construct a new graded Lie algebra whose Maurer-Cartan elements are given by compatible associative structures. Then we define the cohomology of a compatible associative algebra $A$ and as applications, we study extensions, deformations and extensibility of finite order deformations of $A$. We end this paper by considering compatible presimplicial vector spaces and the homology of compatible associative algebras.
We describe how the Hochschild (co)homology of a bound quiver algebra changes when adding or deleting arrows to the quiver. The main tools are relative Hochschild (co)homology, the Jacobi-Zariski long exact sequence obtained by A. Kaygun and a one step relative projective resolution of a tensor algebra.
In this paper we show that the $\mathrm{K}$-homology groups of a separable C*-algebra can be enriched with additional descriptive set-theoretic information, and regarded as definable groups. Using a definable version of the Universal Coefficient Theorem, we prove that the corresponding definable $\mathrm{K}$-homology is a finer invariant than the purely algebraic one, even when restricted to the class of UHF C*-algebras, or to the class of unital commutative C*-algebras whose spectrum is a $1$-dimensional connected subspace of $\mathbb{R}^{3}$.
