The general solutions of Schrodinger equation for non central potential are obtained by using Nikiforov Uvarov method. The Schrodinger equation with general non central potential is separated into radial and angular parts and energy eigenvalues and eigenfunctions for these potentials are derived analytically. Non central potential is reduced to Coulomb and Hartmann potential by making special selections, and the obtained solutions are compared with the solutions of Coulomb and Hartmann ring shaped potentials given in literature.
The solutions of trigonometric Scarf potential, PT/non-PT-symmetric and non-Hermitian q-deformed hyperbolic Scarf and Manning-Rosen potentials are obtained by solving the Schrodinger equation. The Nikiforov-Uvarov method is used to obtain the real energy spectra and corresponding eigenfunctions.
An alternative treatment is proposed for the calculations carried out within the frame of Nikiforov-Uvarov method, which removes a drawback in the original theory and by pass some difficulties in solving the Schrodinger equation. The present procedure is illustrated with the example of orthogonal polynomials. The relativistic extension of the formalism is discussed.

The exact solutions of the one-dimensional Klein-Gordon equation for the Rosen-Morse type potential with equal scalar and vector potentials are presented. First we briefly review Nikiforov-Uvarov mathematical method. Using this method, wave-functions and corresponding exact energy equation are obtained for the s-wave bound state. It has been shown that the results for Rosen-Morse type potentials reduce to standard Rosen-Morse well and Eckart potentials in the special case. The PT-symmetry for these potentials is also considered.

We show that the exact energy eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of the Schrodinger equation for charged particles moving in certain class of non-central potentials can be easily calculated analytically in a simple and elegant manner by using Nikiforov and Uvarov (NU) method. We discuss the generalized Coulomb and harmonic oscillator systems. We study the Hartmann Coulomb and the ring-shaped and compound Coulomb plus Aharanov-Bohm potentials as special cases. The results are in exact agreement with other methods.
In this paper, we solve the D-dimensional Schrödinger equation with hyperbolic Poschl-Teller potential plus a generalized ring-shaped potential. After the separation of variable in the hyperspherical coordinate. We approximately solve the Dirac equation for the inversely quadratic Yukawa (IQY) potential including a Coulomb-like tensor potential with arbitrary spin-orbit coupling quantum number . In the framework of the spin and pseudospin (pspin) symmetry, we obtain the energy eigenvalue equation and the corresponding eigenfunctions in closed form by using the Nikiforov-Uvarov method. The numerical results show that the Coulomb-like tensor interaction removes degeneracies between spin and pspin state doublets.
