Polynomial Solution of Non-Central Potentials

We show that the exact energy eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of the Schrodinger equation for charged particles moving in certain class of non-central potentials can be easily calculated analytically in a simple and elegant manner by using Nikiforov and Uvarov (NU) method. We discuss the generalized Coulomb and harmonic oscillator systems. We study the Hartmann Coulomb and the ring-shaped and compound Coulomb plus Aharanov-Bohm potentials as special cases. The results are in exact agreement with other methods.

Exact Polynomial Solutions of the Mie-Type Potential in the N-Dimensional Schrodinger Equation

Orthogonal polynomial solutions to the non-central modified Kratzer potential

We investigate the analytical solution of a new exactly solvable non-central potential of $V(r,θ) = D({\frac{r - a}{r}})^2+{\fracβ{r^2\sin^2 θ}}+{\frac{γ\cos θ}{r^2\sin^2 θ}}$ type, which may be called as the modified non-central Kratzer potential. Dual application of Chebyshev polynomial for efficiently computing thousands of central eigenvalues in many-spin systems

It is known that the statistical properties of the spectrum provide an essential characterization of quantum chaos. A class of exactly solvable rationally extended non-central potentials in Two and Three Dimensions

Exceptional orthogonal polynomials and exactly solvable potentials in position dependent mass Schroedinger Hamiltonians

Some exactly solvable potentials in the position dependent mass background are generated whose bound states are given in terms of Laguerre- or Jacobi-type $X_1$ exceptional orthogonal polynomials. These potentials are shown to be shape invariant and isospectral to the potentials whose bound state solutions involve classical Laguerre or Jacobi polynomials.

Quantum models with energy-dependent potentials solvable in terms of exceptional orthogonal polynomials

We construct energy-dependent potentials for which the Schroedinger equations admit solu- tions in terms of exceptional orthogonal polynomials. Our method of construction is based on certain point transformations, applied to the equations of exceptional Hermite, Jacobi and Laguerre polynomials. We present several examples of boundary-value problems with energy-dependent potentials that admit a discrete spectrum and the corresponding normalizable solutions in closed form.

DARBOUX partners of pseudoscalar Dirac potentials associated with exceptional orthogonal polynomials

We introduce a method for constructing Darboux (or supersymmetric) pairs of pseudoscalar and scalar Dirac potentials that are associated with exceptional orthogonal polynomials. Properties of the transformed potentials and regularity conditions are discussed. As an application, we consider a pseudoscalar Dirac potential related to the Schroeodinger model for the rationally extended radial oscillator. The pseudoscalar partner potentials are constructed under first- and second-order Darboux transformations.

Higher-order SUSY, exactly solvable potentials, and exceptional orthogonal polynomials

Exactly solvable rationally-extended radial oscillator potentials, whose wavefunctions can be expressed in terms of Laguerre-type exceptional orthogonal polynomials, are constructed in the framework of $k$th-order supersymmetric quantum mechanics, with special emphasis on $k=2$. It is shown that for $μ=1$, 2, and 3, there exist exactly $μ$ distinct potentials of $μ$th type and associated families of exceptional orthogonal polynomials, where $μ$ denotes the degree of the polynomial $g_μ$ arising in the denominator of the potentials.

Associated Lame and various other new classes of elliptic potentials from sl(2,R) and related orthogonal polynomials

Using representations of sl(2,R) generators which yield associated Lame Hamiltonians we obtain new classes of elliptic potentials. We explicitly calculate eigenvalues and spectra for these potentials and construct the associated orthogonal polynomials. We show that in the proper limit these potentials reduce to well-known exactly solvable potentials.

Rationally extended shape invariant potentials in arbitrary D-dimensions associated with exceptional $X_m$ polynomials

Rationally extended shape invariant potentials in arbitrary D-dimensions are obtained by using point canonical transformation (PCT) method. The bound-state solutions of these exactly solvable potentials can be written in terms of X_m Laguerre or X_m Jacobi exceptional orthogonal polynomials. These potentials are isospectral to their usual counterparts and possess translationally shape invariance property.

Infinitely many shape invariant potentials and new orthogonal polynomials

Three sets of exactly solvable one-dimensional quantum mechanical potentials are presented. These are shape invariant potentials obtained by deforming the radial oscillator and the trigonometric/hyperbolic Pöschl-Teller potentials in terms of their degree \ell polynomial eigenfunctions. We present the entire eigenfunctions for these Hamiltonians (\ell=1,2,...) in terms of new orthogonal polynomials. Two recently reported shape invariant potentials of Quesne and Gómez-Ullate et al's are the first members of these infinitely many potentials.
