Using the Nikiforov-Uvarov method, the bound state energy eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of the PT-/non-PT-symmetric and non-Hermitian generalized Woods-Saxon (WS) potential with the real and complex-valued energy levels are obtained in terms of the Jacobi polynomials. According to the PT-symmetric quantum mechanics, we exactly solved the time-independent Schrodinger equation with same potential for the s-states and also for any l-state as well. It is shown that the results are in good agreement with the ones obtained before.

We obtained the analytic solution of the energy spectra and the wave function in closed form with the help of Greene-Aldrich approximation. The numerical bound states energy for various screening parameters at different quantum states and vibrational energies of EHP for CuLi, TiH, VH, and TiC diatomic molecules were computed. Four particular cases of this potential were achieved. To test the accuracy of our results, we co…
In this work, we used a tool of conventional Nikiforov-Uvarov method to determine bound state solution of Schrodinger equation with quantum interaction potential called Hulthen-Yukawa inversely quadratic potential (HYIQP). We obtained the energy eigen values and the total wave function . We employed Hellmann-Feynmann Theorem (HFT) to compute expectation values for four different diatomic molecules: Hydrogen molecule (H2), Lithium hydride molecule (LiH), Hydrogen Chloride molecule (HCl) and Carbon(II)Oxide molecule. The resulting energy equation reduces to three well known potentials which are:…

A nonpolynomial one-dimensional quantum potential in the form of an isotonic oscillator (harmonic oscillator with a centripetal barrier) is studied. We provide the non-relativistic bound state energy spectrum E_{n} and the wave functions ψ_{n}(x) in terms of the associated Laguerre polynomials in the framework of the Nikiforov-Uvarov method. Under the spin and pseudospin symmetric limits, the analytic eigenvalues and the corresponding two-component upper- and lower-spinors of the Dirac particle are obtained, in closed form.

For applications to quasi-exactly solvable Schrödinger equations in quantum mechanics, we establish the general conditions that have to be satisfied by the coefficients of a second-order differential equation with at most $k+1$ singular points in order that this equation has particular solutions which are $n$th-degree polynomials. In a first approach, we extend the Nikiforov-Uvarov method, which was devised to deal with hypergeometric-type equations (i.e., for $k=2$), and show that the conditions involve $k-2$ integration constants. In a second approach, we consider the functional Bethe ansatz…
The analytical expressions for the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of the Klein-Gordon equation for q-deformed Woods-Saxon plus new generalized ring shape potential are derived within the asymptotic iteration method. The obtained eigenvalues are given in a closed form and the corresponding normalized eigenvectors, for any l, are formulated in terms of the generalized Jacobi polynomials for the radial part of the Klein-Gordon equation and associated Legendre polynomials for its angular one. When the shape deformation is canceled, we recover the same solutions previously obtained by the Nikiforov-U…

The approximate analytical bound state solution of the Schrödinger equation for the Manning-Rosen potential is carried out by taking a new approximation scheme to the orbital centrifugal term. The Nikiforov-Uvarov method is used in the calculations. We obtain analytic forms for the energy eigenvalues and the corresponding normalized wave functions in terms of the Jacobi polynomials or hypergeometric functions for different screening parameters 1/b. The rotational-vibrational energy states for a few diatomic molecules are calculated for arbitrary quantum numbers n and l with different values of…
In this work, the analytical solutions of the $D$-dimensional Schrödinger equation are studied in great detail for the Wood-Saxon potential by taking advantage of the Pekeris approximation. Within a novel improved scheme to surmount centrifugal term, the energy eigenvalues and corresponding radial wave functions are found for any angular momentum case within the context of the Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) and Supersymmetric quantum mechanics (SUSYQM) methods. In this way, based on these methods, the same expressions are obtained for the energy eigenvalues, and the expression of radial wave functions …
The bound state energy eigenvalues and the corresponding eigenfunctions of the generalized Woods-Saxon potential reported in [Phys. Rev. Analytical solutions of bound states of the Schrodinger equation for the present potential are obtained in the terms of fractional Jacobi polynomials. It is demonstrated that the classical results are a special case of the present results at Elfa=Beta=1 Therefore, the present results play important role in mo…

With the aid of an improved short-range approximation, the bound state energies and the scattering phase shifts for a Hulthén- type potential plus Yukawa potential are calculated within the framework of Nikiforov-Uvarov and standard methods, respectively. Our numerical calculations show that the presence of Yukawa potential has a significant influence on bound state energies and the wave number-dependent phase shifts for any arbitrary values of the screening parameter α and angular momentum l.
The Tietz-Hua (TH) potential is one of the very best analytical model potentials for the vibrational energy of diatomic molecules. By using the Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method, we have obtained the exact analytical s-wave solutions of the radial Schrödinger equation (SE) for the TH potential. The solvability of The Dirac equation is studied for the exponential-type potentials with the pseudospin symmetry by using the parametric generalization of the Nikiforov-Uvarov method. The energy eigenvalue equation, and the corresponding Dirac spinors for Morse, Hulthen, and q-deformed Rosen-Morse potentials are obtained within the framework of an approximation to the spin-orbit coupling term, so the solutions are given for any value of the spin-orbit quantum number $κ=0$, or $κ\neq 0$.
This is a response to a recently reported comment [1] on paper [J. Math. Phys.59, 082105 (2018)] regarding the quantization of damped harmonic oscillator using a non-Hermitian Hamiltonian with real energy eigenvalues. We assert here that the calculation of Eq. (29) of [2] is incorrect, and thus the subsequent steps via the Nikiforov-Uvarov method are affected, and the energy eigenvalues should have been complex. However, we show here that the Hermiticity of the Hamiltonian should be firstly achieved to make the correct transition from classical Hamiltonian to quantum counterpart, and this can …
