Exact solution of the Schrodinger equation with deformed ring shaped potential is obtained in the parabolic and spherical coordinates. The Nikiforov-Uvarov method is used in the solution. Eigenfunctions and corresponding energy eigenvalues are calculated analytically. The agreement of our results is good.
We discuss the Bohmian mechanics by means of the deformed Schrödinger equation for position dependent mass, in the context of a $q$-algebra inspired by nonextensive statistics. A deduction of the Bohmian quantum formalism is performed by means of a deformed Fisher information functional, from which a deformed Cramér-Rao bound is derived. Lagrangian and Hamiltonian formulations, inherited by the $q$-algebra, are also developed. Then, we illustrate the results with a particle confined in an infinite square potential well. The preservation of the deformed Cramér-Rao bound for the stationary state…
The exact solutions of Schrodinger equation are obtained for a noncentral potential which is a ring-shaped potential. The energy eigenvalues and corresponding eigenfunctions are obtained for any angular momentum l. Nikiforov-Uvarov method is used in the computations.
In this paper, we solve the D-dimensional Schrödinger equation with hyperbolic Poschl-Teller potential plus a generalized ring-shaped potential. After the separation of variable in the hyperspherical coordinate. We used Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method to solve the resulting radial equation and obtain explicitly the energy level and the corresponding wave function in closed form. The solutions to the angular part are solved using the NU approach as well.
The energy spectrum of q-deformed Schrödinger equation is demonstrated. This spectrum includes an exponential factor with new quantum numbers--the $q$-exciting number and the scaling index. The pattern of quark and lepton masses is qualitatively explained by such a q-deformed spectrum in a composite model.
We present analytically the exact energy bound-states solutions of the Schrodinger equation in D-dimensions for a recently proposed modified Kratzer potential plus ring-shaped potential by means of the conventional Nikiforov-Uvarov method. We give a clear recipe of how to obtain an explicit solution to the wave functions in terms of orthogonal polynomials. The results obtained in this work are more general and true for any dimension which can be reduced to the standard forms in three-dimensions given by other works.
In this paper, we propose an algorithm to construct coherent states for an exactly solvable position dependent mass Schrödinger equation. We use point canonical transformation method and obtain ground state eigenfunction of the position dependent mass Schrödinger equation. We fix the ladder operators in the deformed form and obtain explicit expression of the deformed superpotential in terms of mass distribution and its derivative. We also prove that these deformed operators lead to minimum uncertainty relations. Further, we illustrate our algorithm with two examples in which the coherent state…
The analytic solutions of the spatially-dependent mass Schrodinger equation of diatomic molecules with the centrifugal term l(l+1)/r2 for the generalized q-deformed Morse potential are obtained approximately by means of a parametric generalization of the Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method combined with the Pekeris approximation scheme. The energy eigenvalues and the corresponding normalized radial wave functions are calculated in closed form with a physically motivated choice of a reciprocal Morse-like mass function, m(r)=m0/(1-deltae^{-a(r-r_{e})})2, 0<delta<1, where a and r_{e} are the range of th…
We present analytically the exact energy bound-states solutions of the Schrodinger equation in $D$-dimensions for a pseudoharmonic potential plus ring-shaped potential of the form $V(r,θ)=D_{e}(\frac{r}{% r_{e}}-\frac{r_{e}}{r}) ^{2}+\frac{β\cos ^{2}θ}{r^{2}\sin ^{2}θ}$ by means of the conventional Nikiforov-Uvarov method. We also give a clear recipe of how to obtain an explicit solution to the radial and angular parts of the wave functions in terms of orthogonal polynomials. The total energy of the system is different from the pseudoharmonic potential because of the contribution of the angula…
We present analytically the exact energy bound-states solutions of the Schrodinger equation in D-dimensions for an alternative (often used) pseudo-Coulomb potential-plus- ring-shaped potential of the form $V(r)=-% \frac{a}{r}+\frac{b}{r^{2}}+\frac{β\cos ^{2}θ}{r^{2}\sin ^{2}θ}+c$ by means of the conventional Nikiforov-Uvarov method. We give a clear recipe of how to obtain an explicit solution to the radial and angular parts of the wave functions in terms of orthogonal polynomials. The total energy of the system is different from the pseudo-Coulomb potential because of the contribution of the a…
Motivated by the group entropy theory, in this work we generalize the algebra of real numbers (that we called G-algebra), from which we develop an associated G-differential calculus. Thus, the algebraic structures corresponding to the Tsallis and Kappa statistics are obtained as special cases when the Tsallis and Kappa group classes are chosen. We employ the G-algebra to formulate a generalized G-deformed Schrödinger equation and we illustrate it with the infinite potential well, where the effective mass is related with the G-algebra structure and the $q$-deformed (standard) Schrödinger equati…
By employing the Pekeris approximation, the D-dimensional Schrödinger equation is solved for the nuclear deformed Woods-Saxon potential plus double ring-shaped potential within the framework of the Asymptotic Iteration Method (AIM). The energy eingenvalues are given in a closed form and the corresponding normalized eigenfunctions are obtained in terms of hypergeometric functions. Our general results reproduce many predictions obtained in the literature, using the Nikiforov-Uvarov method (NU) and the Improved Quantization Rule approach, particulary those derived by considering Woods-Saxon poten…
In this paper we present exact solutions of Schrodinger equation (SE) for a class of non central physical potentials within the formalism of position-dependent effective mass. The energy eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of the bound-states for the Schrodinger equation are obtained analytically by means of asymptotic iteration method (AIM) and easily calculated through a new generalized decomposition of the effective potential allowing easy separation of the coordinates. Our results are in excellent agreement with other works in the literature.
In this paper, we present the exact solution of one dimensional Schrödinger equation for Wood-Saxon plus Rosen-Morse plus symmetrical double well potential via Nikiforov-Uvarov mathematical method. The eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of this potential are obtained. The energy equations and the corresponding wave function for special cases of this potential are briefly discussed. The PT-symmetry and Hermiticity for this potential are also considered.
On using the known equivalence between the presence of a position-dependent mass (PDM) in the Schrödinger equation and a deformation of the canonical commutation relations, a method based on deformed shape invariance has recently been devised for generating pairs of potential and PDM for which the Schrödinger equation is exactly solvable. This approach has provided the bound-state energy spectrum, as well as the ground-state and the first few excited-state wavefunctions. The general wavefunctions have however remained unknown in explicit form because for their determination one would need the …
We consider time-dependent Schrödinger equations for a free nonrelativistic particle on the three-dimensional $q$-deformed Euclidean space. We determine plane wave solutions to these Schrödinger equations and show that they form a complete orthonormal system. We derive $q$-deformed expressions for propagators of a nonrelativistic particle. Considerations about expectation values for position or momentum of a nonrelativistic particle conclude our studies.
By using the Pekeris approximation, the Schrödinger equation is solved for the nuclear deformed Woods-Saxon potential within the framework of the asymptotic iteration method (AIM). The energy levels are worked out and the corresponding normalized eigenfunctions are obtained in terms of hypergeometric function.
A new method for generating exactly solvable Schrödinger equations with a position-dependent mass is proposed. It is based on a relation with some deformed Schrödinger equations, which can be dealt with by using a supersymmetric quantum mechanical approach combined with a deformed shape-invariance condition. The solvability of the latter is shown to impose the form of both the deformed superpotential and the position-dependent mass. The conditions for the existence of bound states are determined. A lot of examples are provided and the corresponding bound-state spectrum and wavefunctions are re…
We have studied the variation of the position space statistical complexity measure defined by López-Ruiz, Mancini, and Calbet such as the product of exponential of the Shannon information entropy and the disequilibrium by using the 1D-normalized probability densities derived from solutions of the Schrödinger equation corresponding to the q-deformed harmonic oscillator and q-deformed Morse potentials. An analysis of the numerical results in terms of Shannon information entropy, disequilibrium and complexity measure are presented. In q-deformed harmonic oscillator, q-dependence of the complexity…
A construction method of infinite families of quasi-exactly solvable position-dependent mass Schrödinger equations with known ground and first excited states is proposed in a deformed supersymmetric background. Such families correspond to extensions of known potentials endowed with a deformed shape invariance property. Two different approaches are combined. The first one is a generating function method, which enables to construct the first two superpotentials of a deformed supersymmetric hierarchy, as well as the first two partner potentials and the first two eigenstates of the first potential…
The general solutions of Schrodinger equation for non central potential are obtained by using Nikiforov Uvarov method. The Schrodinger equation with general non central potential is separated into radial and angular parts and energy eigenvalues and eigenfunctions for these potentials are derived analytically. Non central potential is reduced to Coulomb and Hartmann potential by making special selections, and the obtained solutions are compared with the solutions of Coulomb and Hartmann ring shaped potentials given in literature.
By using the Pekeris approximation, the Schrodinger equation is approximately solved for the nuclear deformed Woods-Saxon potential within the framework of the asymptotic iteration method. The energy levels are worked out and the corresponding normalized eigenfunctions are obtained in terms of hypergeometric function.
The Dirac equation has been studied in which the Dirac matrices $\hat{\boldmath$α$}, \hatβ$ have space factors, respectively $f$ and $f_1$, dependent on the particle's space coordinates. The $f$ function deforms Heisenberg algebra for the coordinates and momenta operators, the function $f_1$ being treated as a dependence of the particle mass on its position. The properties of these functions in the transition to the Schrödinger equation are discussed. The exact solution of the Dirac equation for the particle motion in the Coulomnb field with a linear dependence of the $f$ function on the dista…
We obtain the quantized momentum eigenvalues, Pn, and the momentum eigenstates for the space-like Schrodinger equation, the Feinberg-Horodecki equation, with the improved deformed exponential-type potential which is constructed by temporal counterpart of the spatial form of these potentials. We also plot the variations of the improved deformed exponential-type potential with its momentum eigenvalues for few quantized states against the screening parameter.
We derive $q$-versions of Green's theorem from the Leibniz rules of partial derivatives for the $q$-deformed Euclidean space. Using these results and the Schrödinger equations for a $q$-deformed nonrelativistic particle, we derive continuity equations for the probability density, the energy density, and the momentum density of a $q$-deformed nonrelativistic particle.
We introduce an exactly solvable one-dimensional potential that supports both bound and/or resonance states. This potential is a generalization of the well-known 1D Morse potential where we introduced a deformation that preserves the finite spectrum property. On the other hand, in the limit of zero deformation, the potential reduces to the exponentially confining potential well introduced recently by A. D. Alhaidari. The latter potential supports infinite spectrum which means that the zero deformation limit is a critical point where our system will transition from the finite spectrum limit to …
Approximate bound state solutions of the Dirac equation with the Hulthén plus a new generalized ring-shaped (RS) potential are obtained for any arbitrary -state. The energy eigenvalue equation and the corresponding two-component wave function are calculated by solving the radial and angular wave equations within a recently introduced shortcut of Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method. The solutions of the radial and polar angular parts of the wave function are given in terms of the Jacobi polynomials. We use an exponential approximation in terms of the Hulthen potential parameters to deal with the stron…
The defocusing nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) equation has no the modulational instability, and was not found to possess the rogue wave (RW) phenomenon up to now. In this paper, we firstly investigate some novel nonlinear wave structures in the defocusing NLS equation with real-valued time-dependent and time-independent potentials such that the stable new RWs and W-shaped solitons are found, respectively. Moreover, the interactions of two or three RWs are explored such that the RWs with higher amplitudes are generated in the defocusing NLS equation with real-valued time-dependent potentials. Fina…
Starting on the basis of the non-commutative q-differential calculus, we introduce a generalized q-deformed Schrödinger equation. It can be viewed as the quantum stochastic counterpart of a generalized classical kinetic equation, which reproduces at the equilibrium the well-known q-deformed exponential stationary distribution. In this framework, q-deformed adjoint of an operator and q-hermitian operator properties occur in a natural way in order to satisfy the basic quantum mechanics assumptions.
In this paper, we study the time-independent Schrödinger equation within the formalism of position dependent effective mass. For a generalized decomposition of the non-central effective potential, the deformed Schrödinger equation can be easily solved analytically through separation of variables. The energy eigenvalues and the normalization constant of the radial wave functions are obtained, as well as the scattering phase shifts.
In this paper new multi-variable deformed Fokker-Planck (FP) equations are presented. These deformed FP equations are associated with the Ruijsenaars-Schneider-van Diejen (RSvD) type systems in the same way that the usual one variable FP equation is associated with the one particle Schrödinger equation. As the RSvD systems are the "discrete" counterparts of the celebrated exactly solvable many-body Calogero-Sutherland-Moser systems, the deformed FP equations presented here can be considered as "discrete" deformations of the ordinary multi-variable FP equations.
The exact solutions of Schrödinger's equation with the deformed Hulthén potential $V_q(x)=-{μ\, e^{-δ\,x }}/({1-q\,e^{-δ\,x}}),~ δ,μ, q>0$ are given, along with a closed--form formula for the normalization constants of the eigenfunctions for arbitrary $q>0$. The Crum-Darboux transformation is then used to derive the corresponding exact solutions for the extended Hulthén potentials $V(x)= -{μ\, e^{-δ\,x }}/({1-q\,e^{-δ\,x}})+ {q\,j(j+1)\, e^{-δ\,x }}/({1-q\,e^{-δ\,x}})^2, j=0,1,2,\dots.$ A general formula for the new normalization condition is also provided.
Here we consider resonances of the Gauge, Gravity and Spinor fields in Randall-Sundrum-like scenarios. We consider membranes that are generated by a class of topological defects that are deformed domain walls obtained from other previously known ones. They are obtained by a deformation procedure generate different potentials to the associated Schrödinger-like equation. The resonance spectra are calculated numerically using the method of Transfer Matrix developed by the authors and presented in JHEP 1108 (2011) 071. The new deformed defects change the resonances spectra of all fields considered…
We point out a misleading treatment in a recent paper published in this Journal [Eur. Phys. J. C (2018)78:106] regarding solutions for the Schrödinger equation with a anharmonic oscillator potential embedded in the background of a cosmic string mapped into biconfluent Heun equation. This fact jeopardizes the thermodynamical properties calculated in this system.
The importance of the energy spectrum of bound states and their restrictions in quantum mechanics due to the different methods have been used for calculating and determining the limit of them. Comparison of Schrodinger-like equation obtained by Dirac equation with the non-relativistic solvable models is the most efficient methods. By this technique, the exact relativistic solutions of Dirac equation for Hartmann and Ring-Shaped oscillator potentials are accessible, when the scalar potential equals to the vector potential. Using solvable non-relativistic quantum mechanics systems as a basic mod…
In this paper, we present a general method to solve non-hermetic potentials with PT symmetry using the definition of two $η$-pseudo-hermetic and first-order operators. This generator applies to the Dirac equation which consists of two spinor wave functions and non-hermetic potentials, with position that mass is considered a constant value and also Hamiltonian hierarchy method and the shape invariance property are used to perform calculations. Furthermore, we show the correlation between the potential parameters with transmission probabilities that $η$-pseudo-hermetic using the change of focal …
We obtain the exact solution to the Dirac equation with the Poschl-Teller double ring-shaped Coulomb (PTDRSC) potential for any spin-orbit quantum number K. The relativistic scattering amplitude for spin 1/2 particles in the field of this potential has been studied. The wave functions are expressed in terms of the hyper-geometric series of the continuous states on the K/2Pi scale. A formula for the phase shifts has also been found. In the nonrelativistic limits, our solution to the Dirac system converges to that of the Schrödinger one. At the high temperature, the partition function is calcula…
In this paper, we introduce the Schrodinger equation with a general kinetic energy operator. The conservation law is proved and the probability continuity equation is deducted in a general sense. Examples with a Hermitian kinetic energy operator include the standard Schrodinger equation, the relativistic Schrodinger equation, the fractional Schrodinger equation, the Dirac equation, and the deformed Schrodinger equation. We reveal that the Klein-Gordon equation has a hidden non-Hermitian kinetic energy operator. The probability continuity equation with sources indicates that there exists a diff…
The bound-state solutions and the su(1,1) description of the $d$-dimensional radial harmonic oscillator, the Morse and the $D$-dimensional radial Coulomb Schrödinger equations are reviewed in a unified way using the point canonical transformation method. It is established that the spectrum generating su(1,1) algebra for the first problem is converted into a potential algebra for the remaining two. This analysis is then extended to Schrödinger equations containing some position-dependent mass. The deformed su(1,1) construction recently achieved for a $d$-dimensional radial harmonic oscillator i…
Beyond a pure mathematical interest, q-deformation is promising for the modeling and interpretation of various physical phenomena. In this paper, we numerically investigate the existence and properties of the self-localized soliton solutions of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NLSE) with a q-deformed Rosen-Morse potential. By implementing a Petviashvili method (PM), we obtain the self-localized one and two soliton solutions of the NLSE with a q-deformed Rosen-Morse potential. In order to investigate the temporal behavior and stabilities of these solitons, we implement a Fourier spectral met…
In this work we make use of deformed operators to construct the coherent states of some nonlinear systems by generalization of two definitions: i) As eigenstates of a deformed annihilation operator and ii) by application of a deformed displacement operator to the vacuum state. We also construct the coherent states for the same systems using the ladder operators obtained by traditional methods with the knowledge of the eigenfunctions and eigenvalues of the corresponding Schrödinger equation. We show that both methods yield coherent states with identical algebraic structure.
The quantum oscillator and Kepler-Coulomb problems in $d$-dimensional spaces with constant curvature are analyzed from several viewpoints. In a deformed supersymmetric framework, the corresponding nonlinear potentials are shown to exhibit a deformed shape invariance property. By using the point canonical transformation method, the two deformed Schrödinger equations are mapped onto conventional ones corresponding to some shape-invariant potentials, whose rational extensions are well known. The inverse point canonical transformations then provide some rational extensions of the oscillator and Ke…
Known shape-invariant potentials for the constant-mass Schrodinger equation are taken as effective potentials in a position-dependent effective mass (PDEM) one. The corresponding shape-invariance condition turns out to be deformed. Its solvability imposes the form of both the deformed superpotential and the PDEM. A lot of new exactly solvable potentials associated with a PDEM background are generated in this way. A novel and important condition restricting the existence of bound states whenever the PDEM vanishes at an end point of the interval is identified. In some cases, the bound-state spec…
Exact bound state solutions and the corresponding wave functions of the Schrödinger equation for some non-central potentials including Makarov potential, modified-Kratzer plus a ring-shaped potential, double ring-shaped Kratzer potential, modified non-central potential and ring-shaped non-spherical oscillator potential are obtained by using the Laplace transform approach. The energy spectrums of the Hartmann potential, modified-Kratzer potential and ring-shaped oscillator potential are also briefly studied as special cases. It is seen that our analytical results for all these potentials are co…

The interest of quadratic algebras for position-dependent mass Schrödinger equations is highlighted by constructing spectrum generating algebras for a class of d-dimensional radial harmonic oscillators with $d \ge 2$ and a specific mass choice depending on some positive parameter $α$. Via some minor changes, the one-dimensional oscillator on the line with the same kind of mass is included in this class. The existence of a single unitary irreducible representation belonging to the positive-discrete series type for $d \ge 2$ and of two of them for d=1 is proved. The transition to the constant-ma…
