For a finite dimensional simple Lie algebra g, the standard universal solution R(x) in $U_q(g)^{\otimes 2}$ of the Quantum Dynamical Yang--Baxter Equation can be built from the standard R--matrix and from the solution F(x) in $U_q(g)^{\otimes 2}$ of the Quantum Dynamical coCycle Equation as $R(x)=F^{-1}_{21}(x) R F_{12}(x).$ It has been conjectured that, in the case where g=sl(n+1) n greater than 1 only, there could exist an element M(x) in $U_q(sl(n+1))$ such that $F(x)=Δ(M(x)){J} M_2(x)^{-1}(M_1(xq^{h_2}))^{-1},$ in which $J\in U_q(sl(n+1))^{\otimes 2}$ is the universal cocycle associated to the Cremmer--Gervais's solution. The aim of this article is to prove this conjecture and to study the properties of the solutions of the Quantum Dynamical coBoundary Equation. In particular, by introducing new basic algebraic objects which are the building blocks of the Gauss decomposition of M(x), we construct M(x) in $U_q(sl(n+1))$ as an explicit infinite product which converges in every finite dimensional representation. We emphasize the relations between these basic objects and some Non Standard Loop algebras and exhibit relations with the dynamical quantum Weyl group.
Let $(g,δ_\hbar)$ be a Lie bialgebra. Let $(U_\hbar(g),Δ_\hbar)$ a quantization of $(g,δ_\hbar)$ through Etingof-Kazhdan functor. We prove the existence of a $L_\infty$-morphism between the Lie algebra $C(\g)=Λ(g)$ and the tensor algebra $TU=T(U_\hbar(g)[-1])$ with Lie algebra structure given by the Gerstenhaber bracket. When $(g,δ_\hbar,r)$ is a coboundary Lie bialgebra, we deduce from the formality morphism the existence of a quantization $R$ of $r$.
We show that any coboundary Lie bialgebra can be quantized. For this, we prove that: (a) Etingof-Kazhdan quantization functors are compatible with Lie bialgebra twists, and (b) if such a quantization functor corresponds to an even associator, then it is also compatible with the operation of taking coopposites. We also use the relation between the Etingof-Kazhdan construction of quantization functors and the alternative approach to this problem, which was established in a previous work.
We solve a functional version of the problem of twist quantization of a coboundary Lie bialgebra (g,r,Z). We derive from this the following results: (a) the formal Poisson manifolds g^* and G^* are isomorphic; (b) we construct a subalgebra of U(g^*), isomorphic to S(g^*)^g. When g can be quantized, we construct a deformation of the morphism S(g^*)^g subset U(g^*). When g is quasitriangular and nondegenerate, we compare our construction with Semenov-Tian-Shansky's construction of a commutative subalgebra of U(g^*). We also show that the canonical derivation of the function ring of G^* is Hamilt…
We give a short summary of results and conjectures in the theory of dynamical quantum group related to the dynamical coboundary equation also known as IRF-Vertex transform. O.Babelon has shown that the dynamical twist $F(x)$ of $U_q(sl(2))$ is a dynamical coboundary $M(x)$ i.e $F(x)M_1(xq^{h_2})M_2(x)=Δ(M(x)).$ We give a new formula for this element $M(x)$ as an infinite product and give a new proof of the coboundary relation. Our proof involves the quantum Weyl group element, giving possible hint for the generalization to higher rank case.
We show that a Poisson Lie group $(G,π)$ is coboundary if and only if the natural action of $G\times G$ on $M=G$ is a Poisson action for an appropriate Poisson structure on $M$ (the structure turns out to be the well known $π_+$). We analyze the same condition in the context of Hopf algebras. Quantum analogue of the $π_+$ structure on SU(N) is described in terms of generators and relations as an example.
The co-Lie structures compatible with the osp(2|2) Lie super algebra structure are investigated and found to be all of coboundary type. The corresponding classical r-matrices are classified into several disjoint families. The osp(1|2)+u(1) Lie super-bialgebras are also classified.
The first cohomology group of a generalized loop Virasoro algebra with coefficients in the tensor product of its adjoint module is shown to be trivial. The result is applied to prove that Lie bialgebra structures on generalized loop Virasoro algebras are coboundary triangular. We then generalize the results to generalized map Virasoro algebras.
We construct explicitly a class of coboundary Poisson-Lie structures on the group of formal diffeomorphisms of ${\Bbb R}^n$. Equivalently, these give rise to a class of coboundary triangular Lie bialgebra structures on the Lie algebra $W_n$ of formal vector fields on ${\Bbb R}^n$. We conjecture that this class accounts for all such coboundary structures. The natural action of the constructed Poisson-Lie diffeomorphism groups induces large classes of compatible Poisson structures on ${\Bbb R}^n$, thus making it a Poisson homogeneous space. Moreover, the left-right action of the Poisson-Lie grou…
In a paper by Michaelis a class of infinite-dimensional Lie bialgebras containing the Virasoro algebra was presented. This type of Lie bialgebras was classified by Ng and Taft. In this paper, all Lie bialgebra structures on the Lie algebras of generalized Witt type are classified. It is proved that, for any Lie algebra $W$ of generalized Witt type, all Lie bialgebras on $W$ are coboundary triangular Lie bialgebras. As a by-product, it is also proved that the first cohomology group $H^1(W,W \otimes W)$ is trivial.
Henriques and Kamnitzer have defined a commutor for the category of crystals of a finite-dimensional complex reductive Lie algebra that gives it the structure of a coboundary category (somewhat analogous to a braided monoidal category). Kamnitzer and Tingley then gave an alternative definition of the crystal commutor, using Kashiwara's involution on Verma crystals, that generalizes to the setting of symmetrizable Kac-Moody algebras. In the current paper, we give a geometric interpretation of the crystal commutor using quiver varieties. Equipped with this interpretation we show that the commuto…
In this paper, we study Hom-Lie bialgebras by a new notion of the dual representation of a representation of a Hom-Lie algebra. Motivated by the essential connection between Lie bialgebras and Manin triples, we introduce the notion of a Hom-Lie bialgebra with emphasis on its compatibility with a Manin triple of Hom-Lie algebras associated to a nondegenerate symmetric bilinear form satisfying a new invariance condition. With this notion, coboundary Hom-Lie bialgebras can be studied without a skew-symmetric condition of $r\in\mathfrak{g}\otimes \mathfrak{g}$, naturally leading to the classical H…
In this paper, we introduce 3-Hom-Lie bialgebras whose compatibility conditions between the multiplication and comultiplication are given by local cocycle conditions. We study a twisted 3-ary version of the Yang-Baxter Equation, called the 3-Lie classical HomYang-Baxter Equation (3-Lie CHYBE), which is a general form of 3-Lie classical YangBaxter Equation studied in [2] and prove that the bialgebras induced by the solutions of 3-Lie CHYBE induce the coboundary local cocycle 3-Hom-Lie bialgebras.
The Lie bialgebras of the (1+1) extended Galilei algebra are obtained and classified into four multiparametric families. Their quantum deformations are obtained, together with the corresponding deformed Casimir operators. For the coboundary cases quantum universal R-matrices are also given. Applications of the quantum extended Galilei algebras to classical integrable systems are explicitly developed.
In this paper, Lie bialgebra structures on the extended Schrodinger-Virasoro Lie algebra are classified. It is obtained that all the Lie bialgebra structures on L are triangular coboundary. As a by-product, it is derived that the first cohomology group is trivial.
In the present paper we shall investigate the Lie bialgebra structures on the Lie algebra $\widetilde{\frak{sl}_2(C_q[x,y])}$, which are shown to be triangular coboundary.
A large family of "standard" coboundary Hopf algebras is investigated. The existence of a universal R-matrix is demonstrated for the case when the parameters are in general position. Special values of the parameters are characterized by the appearance of certain ideals; in this case the universal R-matrix exists on the associated algebraic quotient. In special cases the quotient is a "standard" quantum group; all familiar quantum groups including twisted ones are obtained in this way. In other special cases one finds new types of coboundary bi-algebras. A large class of first order deformation…
Let $ L $ be a Lie algebra over arbitrary field $ k $ with dim $ L $ =3 and dim $ L' $ =2. All solutions of constant classical Yang- Baxter equation (CYBE) in Lie algebra $ L $ are obtained and the necessary conditions which $ (L,[\ ],Δ_{r}, r) $ is a coboundary (or triangular) Lie bialgebra are given.
We study the problem of classifying all Poisson-Lie structures on the group $G_{\infty}$ of formal diffeomorphisms of the real line $\zR^{1}$ which leave the origin fixed, as well as the extended group of diffeomorphisms $G_{0\infty}\supset G_{\infty}$ whose action on $\zR^{1}$ does not necessarily fix the origin. A complete local classification of all Poisson-Lie structures on the groups $G_{\infty}$ and $G_{0\infty}$ is given. This includes a classification of all Lie-bialgebra structures on the Lie algebra $\Cal G_{\infty}$ of $G_{\infty}$, which we prove to be all of coboundary type, and a…
All solutions of constant classical Yang-Baxter equation (CYBE) in Lie algebra $L$ with dim $L \le 3$ are obtained and the sufficient and necessary conditions which $(L, \hbox {[ ]}, Δ_r, r)$ is a coboundary (or triangular) Lie bialgebra are given. The strongly symmetric elements in $L\otimes L $ are found and they all are solutions of CYBE in $L$ with $dim L \le 3$.
The limiting transitions between different types of quantizations are studied by the deformation theory methods. We prove that for the first order coboundary deformation (g,g*_1 + x g*_2) of a Lie bialgebra (g,g*) one can always get the quantized Lie bialgebra (g,g*_2) as a limit of the sequence of quantizations of the type A(g,g*_1). The obtained results are illustrated by some low-dimensional examples of quantized Lie algebras and superalgebras.
In this paper we realize the dynamical categories introduced in our previous paper as categories of modules over bialgebroids; we study the bialgebroids arising in this way. We define quasitriangular structure on bialgebroids and present examples of quasitriangular bialgebroids related to the dynamical categories. We show that dynamical twists over an arbitrary base give rise to bialgebroid twists. We prove that the classical dynamical r-matrices over an arbitrary base manifold are in one-to-one correspondence with a special class of coboundary Lie bialgebroids.
All coboundary Lie bialgebras and their corresponding Poisson--Lie structures are constructed for the oscillator algebra generated by $\{å,\ap,\am,\bb\}$. Quantum oscillator algebras are derived from these bialgebras by using the Lyakhovsky and Mudrov formalism and, for some cases, quantizations at both algebra and group levels are obtained, including their universal $R$--matrices.
In this paper, Lie bialgebra structures on generalized Heisenberg-Virasoro algebra $\mathfrak{L}$ are considered. Also, $H^1({\mathfrak{L}} ,\mathfrak{L}\bigotimes\mathfrak{L})$ is given explicitly. Moreover, it is proved that all Lie bialgebra structure on centerless generalized Heisenberg-Virasoro algebra $\bar{\mathfrak{L}}$ are coboundary triangular.
Representations of color Hom-Lie algebras are reviewed, and it is shown that there exist a series of coboundary operators. We also introduce the notion of a color omni-Hom-Lie algebra associated to a vector space and an even invertible linear map. We show how regular color Hom-Lie algebra structures on a vector space can be characterized. Moreover, it is shown that the underlying algebraic structure of the color omni-Hom-Lie algebra is a color Hom-Leibniz algebra.
All possible Lie bialgebra structures on the harmonic oscillator algebra are explicitly derived and it is shown that all of them are of the coboundary type. A non-standard quantum oscillator is introduced as a quantization of a triangular Lie bialgebra, and a universal $R$-matrix linked to this new quantum algebra is presented.
We introduce braided Lie bialgebras as the infinitesimal version of braided groups. They are Lie algebras and Lie coalgebras with the coboundary of the Lie cobracket an infinitesimal braiding. We provide theorems of transmutation, Lie biproduct, bosonisation and double-bosonisation relating braided Lie bialgebras to usual Lie bialgebras. Among the results, the kernel of any split projection of Lie bialgebras is a braided-Lie bialgebra. The Kirillov-Kostant Lie cobracket provides a natural braided-Lie bialgebra on any complex simple Lie algebra $g$, as the transmutation of the Drinfeld-Sklyanin…
In 1963 [Ann. of Math. {\bf 78}, 267-288], Gerstenhaber invented a \emph{comp(osition)} calculus in the Hochschild complex of an associative algebra. In this paper, the first steps of the Gerstenhaber theory are exposed in an abstract (comp system) setting. In particular, as in the Hochschild complex, a graded Lie algebra and a pre-coboundary operator can be associated to every comp system. A derivation deviation of the pre-coboundary operator over the total composition is calculated in two ways, (the long) one of which is essentially new and can be seen as an example and elaboration of the au…
Le $X$ be a $C^\infty$-manifold and $\g$ be a finite dimensional Lie algebra acting freely on $X$. Let $r \in \ve^2(\g)$ be such that $Z=[r,r] \in \ve^3(\g)^\g$. In this paper we prove that every quasi-Poisson $(\g,Z)$-manifold can be quantized. This is a generalization of the existence of a twist quantization of coboundary Lie bialgebras (\cite{EH}) in the case $X=G$ (where $G$ is the simply connected Lie group corresponding to $\g$). We deduce our result from a generalized formality theorem. In the case Z=0, we get a new proof of the existence of (equivariant) formality theorem and so (equiv…
All Lie bialgebra structures on the Heisenberg--Weyl algebra $[A_+,A_-]=M$ are classified and explicitly quantized. The complete list of quantum Heisenberg--Weyl algebras so obtained includes new multiparameter deformations, most of them being of the non-coboundary type.
Lie bialgebra structures on the extended affine Lie algebra $\widetilde{sl_2(\mathbb{C}_q)}$ are investigated. In particular, all Lie bialgebra structures on $\widetilde{sl_2(\mathbb{C}_q)}$ are shown to be triangular coboundary. This result is obtained by employing some techniques, which may also work for more general extended affine Lie algebras, to prove the triviality of the first cohomology group of $\widetilde{sl_2(\mathbb{C}_q)}$ with coefficients in the tensor product of its adjoint module, namely, $H^1(\widetilde{sl_2(\mathbb{C}_q)},\widetilde{sl_2(\mathbb{C}_q)}\otimes\widetilde{sl_2…
Motivated by recent work on Hom-Lie algebras and the Hom-Yang-Baxter equation, we introduce a twisted generalization of the classical Yang-Baxter equation (CYBE), called the classical Hom-Yang-Baxter equation (CHYBE). We show how an arbitrary solution of the CYBE induces multiple infinite families of solutions of the CHYBE. We also introduce the closely related structure of Hom-Lie bialgebras, which generalize Drinfel'd's Lie bialgebras. In particular, we study the questions of duality and cobracket perturbation and the sub-classes of coboundary and quasi-triangular Hom-Lie bialgebras.
The aim of this paper is to introduce the notion of a mock-Lie bialgebra which is equivalent to a Manin triple of mock-Lie algebras. The study of a special case called coboundary mock-Lie bialgebra leads to the introduction the mock-Lie Yang-Baxter equation on a mock-Lie algebra which is an analogue of the classical Yang-Baxter equation on a Lie algebra. Note that a skew-symmetric solution of mock-Lie Yang-Baxter equation gives a mock-Lie bialgebra. Finally, the notation of $\mathcal O$-operators are studied to construct skew-symmetric solution of mock-Lie Yang-Baxter equation.
All Lie bialgebra structures for the (1+1)-dimensional centrally extended Schrodinger algebra are explicitly derived and proved to be of the coboundary type. Therefore, since all of them come from a classical r-matrix, the complete family of Schrodinger Poisson-Lie groups can be deduced by means of the Sklyanin bracket. All possible embeddings of the harmonic oscillator, extended Galilei and gl(2) Lie bialgebras within the Schrodinger classification are studied. As an application, new quantum (Hopf algebra) deformations of the Schrodinger algebra, including their corresponding quantum universa…
In this paper we construct a graded Lie algebra on the space of cochains on a $\mathbbZ_2$-graded vector space that are skew-symmetric in the odd variables. The Lie bracket is obtained from the classical Gerstenhaber bracket by (partial) skew-symmetrization; the coboundary operator is a skew-symmetrized version of the Hochschild differential. We show that an order-one element $m$ satisfying the zero-square condition $[m,m]=0$ defines an algebraic structure called "Lie antialgebra". The cohomology (and deformation) theory of these algebras is then defined. We present two examples of non-trivial…
Lie bialgebra contractions are introduced and classified. A non-degenerate coboundary bialgebra structure is implemented into all pseudo-orthogonal algebras $so(p,q)$ starting from the one corresponding to $so(N+1)$. It allows to introduce a set of Lie bialgebra contractions which leads to Lie bialgebras of quasi-orthogonal algebras. This construction is explicitly given for the cases $N=2,3,4$. All Lie bialgebra contractions studied in this paper define Hopf algebra contractions for the Drinfel'd-Jimbo deformations $U_z so(p,q)$. They are explicitly used to generate new non-semisimple quantum…
In this paper we quantize symplectic dynamical r-matrices over a possibly nonabelian base. The proof is based on the fact that the existence of a star-product with a nice property (called strong invariance) is sufficient for the existence of a quantization. We also classify such quantizations and prove a quantum analogue of the classical composition formula for coboundary dynamical r-matrices.
In order to obtain a classification of all possible quantum deformations of the two-photon algebra $h_6$, we introduce its corresponding general Lie bialgebra, which is a coboundary one. Two non-standard quantum deformations of $h_6$, together with their associated quantum universal R-matrix, are presented; each of them contains either a quantum harmonic oscillator subalgebra or a quantum gl(2) subalgebra. One-boson representations for these quantum two-photon algebras are derived and translated into Fock--Bargmann realizations. In this way, a systematic study of `deformed' states of light in …
A Lie algebra $L$ over a field $\mathbb{F}$ is said to be zero product determined (zpd) if every bilinear map $f:L\times L\to \mathbb{F}$ with the property that $f(x,y)=0$ whenever $x$ and $y$ commute is a coboundary. The main goal of the paper is to determine whether or not some important Lie algebras are zpd. We show that the Galilei Lie algebra $\mathfrak{sl}_2\ltimes V$, where $V$ is a simple $\mathfrak{sl}_2$-module, is zpd if and only if $\dim V =2$ or $\dim V$ is odd. The class of zpd Lie algebras also includes the quantum torus Lie algebras $\mathcal{L}_q$ and $\mathcal{L}^+_q$, the un…
The quantization properties of composite peripheric twists are studied. Peripheric chains of extended twists are constructed for U(sl(N)) in order to obtain composite twists with sufficiently large carrier subalgebras. It is proved that the peripheric chains can be enlarged with additional Reshetikhin and Jordanian factors. This provides the possibility to construct new solutions to Drinfeld equations and, thus, to quantize new sets of Lie-Poisson structures. When the Jordanian additional factors are used the carrier algebras of the enlarged peripheric chains are transformed into algebras of m…
Poisson-Lie (PL) dynamical r-matrices are generalizations of dynamical r-matrices, where the base is a Poisson-Lie group. We prove analogues of basic results for these r-matrices, namely constructions of (quasi)Poisson groupoids and of Poisson homogeneous spaces. We introduce a class of PL dynamical r-matrices, associated to nondegenerate Lie bialgebras with a splitting; this is a generalization of trigonometric r-matrices with an abelian base. We prove a composition theorem for PL dynamical r-matrices, and construct quantizations of the polarized PL dynamical r-matrices. This way, we obtain q…
Let $\g$ be a finite dimensional complex Lie algebra and $ł\subset \g$ a Lie subalgebra equipped with the structure of a factorizable quasitriangular Lie bialgebra. Consider the Lie group $\Exp ł$ with the Semenov-Tjan-Shansky Poisson bracket as a Poisson Lie manifold for the double Lie bialgebra $\Dł$. Let $\Nc_ł(0)\subset ł$ be an open domain parameterizing a neighborhood of the identity in $\Exp ł$ by the exponential map. We present dynamical $r$-matrices with values in $\g\wedge \g$ over the Poisson Lie base manifold $\Nc_ł(0)$.
We establish a bialgebra structure on Rota-Baxter Lie algebras following the Manin triple approach to Lie bialgebras. Explicitly, Rota-Baxter Lie bialgebras are characterized by generalizing matched pairs of Lie algebras and Manin triples of Lie algebras to the context of Rota-Baxter Lie algebras. The coboundary case leads to the introduction of the admissible classical Yang-Baxter equation (CYBE) in Rota-Baxter Lie algebras, for which the antisymmetric solutions give rise to Rota-Baxter Lie bialgebras. The notions of $\mathcal{O}$-operators on Rota-Baxter Lie algebras and Rota-Baxter pre-Lie …
This paper studies two types of 3-Lie bialgebras whose compatibility conditions between the multiplication and comultiplication are given by local cocycles and double constructions respectively, and are therefore called the local cocycle 3-Lie bialgebra and the double construction 3-Lie bialgebra. They can be regarded as suitable extensions of the well-known Lie bialgebra in the context of 3-Lie algebras, in two different directions. The local cocycle 3-Lie bialgebra is introduced to extend the connection between Lie bialgebras and the classical Yang-Baxter equation. Its relationship with a te…
We study the relationship between general dynamical Poisson groupoids and Lie quasi-bialgebras. For a class of Lie quasi-bialgebras naturally compatible with a reductive decomposition, we extend the description of the moduli space of classical dynamical r-matrices of Etingof and Schiffmann. We construct, in each gauge orbit, an explicit analytic representative l. We translate the notion of duality for dynamical Poisson groupoids into a duality for Lie quasi-bialgebras. It is shown that duality maps the dynamical Poisson groupoid for l and a Lie quasi-bialgebra to the dynamical Poisson groupoid…
We introduce a notion of pre-alternative algebra which may be seen as an alternative algebra whose product can be decomposed into two pieces which are compatible in a certain way. It is also the "alternative" analogue of a dendriform dialgebra or a pre-Lie algebra. The left and right multiplication operators of a pre-alternative algebra give a bimodule structure of the associated alternative algebra. There exists a (coboundary) bialgebra theory for pre-alternative algebras, namely, pre-alternative bialgebras, which exhibits all the familiar properties of the famous Lie bialgebra theory. In par…
We introduce a notion of left-symmetric bialgebra which is an analogue of the notion of Lie bialgebra. We prove that a left-symmetric bialgebra is equivalent to a symplectic Lie algebra with a decomposition into a direct sum of the underlying vector spaces of two Lagrangian subalgebras. The latter is called a parakähler Lie algebra or a phase space of a Lie algebra in mathematical physics. We introduce and study coboundary left-symmetric bialgebras and our study leads to what we call "$S$-equation", which is an analogue of the classical Yang-Baxter equation. In a certain sense, the $S$-equatio…
We compute the Poincare polynomial and the cohomology algebra with rational coefficeints of the manifold M_n of real points of the moduli space of algebraic curves of genus 0 with n labeled points. This cohomology is a quadratic algebra, and we conjecture that it is Koszul. We also compute the 2-local torsion in the cohomology of M_n. As was shown by E. Rains in arXiv:math/0610743 the cohomology of M_n does not have odd torsion, so that the above determines the additive structure of the integral homology and cohomology. Further, we prove that the rational homology operad of M_n is the operad o…
We construct a Poisson isomorphism between the formal Poisson manifolds g^* and G^*, where g is a finite dimensional quasitriangular Lie bialgebra. Here g^* is equipped with its Lie-Poisson (or Kostant-Kirillov-Souriau) structure, and G^* with its Poisson-Lie structure. We also quantize Poisson-Lie dynamical r-matrices of Balog-Feher-Palla.
We construct a universal Vertex-IRF transformation between Vertex type universal solution and Face type universal solution of the quantum dynamical Yang-Baxter equation. This universal Vertex-IRF transformation satisfies the generalized coBoundary equation and is an extension of our previous work to the quantum affine $U_q(A^{(1)}_r)$ case. This solution has a simple Gauss decomposition which is constructed using Sevostyanov's characters of twisted quantum Borel algebras. We show that the evaluation of this universal solution in the evaluation representation of $U_q(A_1^{(1)})$ gives the stand…
The aim of this work is to construct a cohomology theory controlling the deformations of a general Drinfel'd algebra. The task is accomplished in three steps. The first step is the construction of a modified cobar complex adapted to a non-coassociative comultiplication. The following two steps each involve a new, highly non-trivial, construction. The first construction, essentially combinatorial, defines a differential graded Lie algebra structure on the simplicial chain complex of the associahedra. The second construction, of a more algebraic nature, is the definition of map of differential g…
The Dirac reduction technique used previously to obtain solutions of the classical dynamical Yang-Baxter equation on the dual of a Lie algebra is extended to the Poisson-Lie case and is shown to yield naturally certain dynamical r-matrices on the duals of Poisson-Lie groups found by Etingof, Enriquez and Marshall in math.QA/0403283.
