For a family of weight functions, $h_κ$, invariant under a finite reflection group on $\RR^d$, analysis related to the Dunkl transform is carried out for the weighted $L^p$ spaces. Making use of the generalized translation operator and the weighted convolution, we study the summability of the inverse Dunkl transform, including as examples the Poisson integrals and the Bochner-Riesz means. We also define a maximal function and use it to prove the almost everywhere convergence.
We generalize Wiener amalgam spaces by using Dunkl translation instead of the classical one, and we give some relationship between these spaces, Dunkl-Lebesgue spaces and Dunkl-Morrey spaces. We prove that the Hardy-Litlewood maximal function associated with the Dunkl operators is bounded on these generalized Dunkl-Morrey spaces.
In this article, we establish the Fefferman-Stein inequalities for the Dunkl maximal operator associated with a finite reflection group generated by the sign changes. Similar results are also given for a large class of operators related to Dunkl's analysis.
In this article, we first improve the scalar maximal theorem for the Dunkl maximal operator by giving some precisions on the behavior of the constants of this theorem for a general reflection group. Next we complete the vector-valued theorem for the Dunkl-type Fefferman-Stein operator in the case $\mathbb Z_2^d$ by establishing a result of exponential integrability corresponding to the case $p=+\infty$.
We study weighted $(L^p, L^q)$-boundedness properties of Riesz potentials and fractional maximal functions for the Dunkl transform. In particular, we obtain the weighted Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev type inequality and weighted week $(L^1, L^q)$ estimate. We find a sharp constant in the weighted $L^p$-inequality, generalizing the results of W. Beckner and S. Samko.
Hardy-Littlewood maximal, generalized Bessel-Riesz and generalized fractional integral operators in generalized Morrey and $BMO_ϕ$ spaces associated with Dunkl operator on the real line
In this paper, we study the $L^p$ boundedness of a class of oscillating multiplier operator for the Dunkl transform, $T_{m_α}=\mathcal{F}_k^{-1}(m_α\mathcal{F}_k(f))$ with $m(ξ)=|ξ|^{-α}e^{\pm i|ξ|}ϕ(ξ)$. We obtain an $L^p$-bound result for the corresponding maximal functions. As a specific applications, we give an extension of the $L^p$ estimate for the wave equation and of Stein's theorem for the analytic family of maximal spherical means \cite{Stein}
Some weighted inequalities for the maximal operator with respect to the discrete diffusion semigroups associated with exceptional Jacobi and Dunkl-Jacobi polynomials are given. This setup allows to extend the corresponding results obtained for discrete heat semigroup recently to richer class of differential-difference operators.
We prove that the spherical mean value of the Dunkl-type generalized translation operator $τ^y$ is a positive $L^p$-bounded generalized translation operator $T^t$. As application, we prove the Young inequality for a convolution defined by $T^t$, the $L^p$-boundedness of $τ^y$ on a radial functions for $p>2$, the $L^p$-boundedness of the Riesz potential for the Dunkl transform and direct and inverse theorems of approximation theory in $L^p$-spaces with the Dunkl weight.
We study potential operators associated with Laguerre function expansions of convolution and Hermite types, and with Dunkl-Laguerre expansions. We prove qualitatively sharp estimates of the corresponding potential kernels. Then we characterize those $1 \le p,q \le \infty$, for which the potential operators are $L^p-L^q$ bounded. These results are sharp analogues of the classical Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev fractional integration theorem in the Laguerre and Dunkl-Laguerre settings.
We investigate Laplace type and Laplace-Stieltjes type multipliers in the $d$-dimensional setting of the Dunkl harmonic oscillator with the associated group of reflections isomorphic to $\mathbb{Z}_2^d$ and in the related context of Laguerre function expansions of convolution type. We use Calderón-Zygmund theory to prove that these multiplier operators are bounded on weighted $L^p$, $1<p<\infty$, and from $L^1$ to weak $L^1$.
New convolution identities for orthogonal polynomials belonging to the $q=-1$ analog of the Askey-scheme are obtained. A specialization of the Chihara polynomials will play a central role as the eigenfunctions of a special element of the Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{osp}(1|2)$ in the positive discrete series representation. Using the Clebsch-Gordan coefficients, a convolution identity for the Specialized Chihara, the dual -1 Hahn and the Big -1 Jacobi polynomials is found. Using the Racah coefficients, a convolution identity for the Big -1 Jacobi and the Bannai-Ito polynomials is found. Finally…
In this paper, we show the inclusion and the density of the Schwartz space in Besov-Dunkl spaces and we prove an interpolation formula for these spaces by the real method. We give another characterization for these spaces by convolution. Finally, we establish further results concerning integrability of the Dunkl transform of function in a suitable Besov-Dunkl space.
We study Bessel and Dunkl processes $(X_{t,k})_{t\ge0}$ on $\mathbb R^N$ with possibly multivariate coupling constants $k\ge0$. These processes describe interacting particle systems of Calogero-Moser-Sutherland type with $N$ particles. For the root systems $A_{N-1}$ and $B_N$ these Bessel processes are related with $β$-Hermite and $β$-Laguerre ensembles. Moreover, for the frozen case $k=\infty$, these processes degenerate to deterministic or pure jump processes. We use the generators for Bessel and Dunkl processes of types A and B and derive analogues of Wigner's semicircle and Marchenko-Pastu…
In this paper, we will first show that the maximal operator $S_*^α$ of spherical partial sums $S_R^α$, associated to Dunkl transform on $\mathbb{R}$ is bounded on $L^p(\mathbb{R}, |x|^{2α+1} dx)$ functions when $\frac{4(α+1)}{2α+3}<p<\frac{4(α+1)}{2α+1}$, and it implies that, for every $L^p(\mathbb{R}, |x|^{2α+1} dx)$ function $f(x)$, $S_R^αf(x)$ converges to $f(x)$ almost everywhere as $R\to \infty$. On the other hand we obtain a sharp version by showing that $S_*^α$ is bounded from the Lorentz space $L^{p_i,1}(\mathbb{R}, |x|^{2α+1})$ into $L^{p_i,\infty}(\mathbb{R}, |x|^{2α+1}),\quad i=0,1$…
We study several fundamental harmonic analysis operators in the multi-dimensional context of the Dunkl harmonic oscillator and the underlying group of reflections isomorphic to $\mathbb{Z}_2^d$. Noteworthy, we admit negative values of the multiplicity functions. Our investigations include maximal operators, $g$-functions, Lusin area integrals, Riesz transforms and multipliers of Laplace and Laplace-Stieltjes type. By means of the general Calderón-Zygmund theory we prove that these operators are bounded on weighted $L^p$ spaces, $1 < p < \infty$, and from weighted $L^1$ to weighted weak $L^1$. …
Let $G_λ^{(α,β)}$ be the eigenfunctions of the Dunkl-Cherednik operator $T^{(α,β)}$ on $\mathbb{R}$. In this paper we express the product $G_λ^{(α,β)}(x)G_λ^{(α,β)}(y)$ as an integral in terms of $G_λ^{(α,β)}(z)$ with an explicit kernel. In general this kernel is not positive. Furthermore, by taking the so-called rational limit, we recover the product formula of M. Rösler for the Dunkl kernel. We then define and study a convolution structure associated to $G_λ^{(α,β)}$.
The kernel of the $\mathbb{Z}_2^{n}$ Dirac-Dunkl operator is examined. The symmetry algebra $\mathcal{A}_{n}$ of the associated Dirac-Dunkl equation on $\mathbb{S}^{n-1}$ is determined and is seen to correspond to a higher rank generalization of the Bannai-Ito algebra. A basis for the polynomial null-solutions of the Dirac-Dunkl operator is constructed. The basis elements are joint eigenfunctions of a maximal commutative subalgebra of $\mathcal{A}_{n}$ and are given explicitly in terms of Jacobi polynomials. The symmetry algebra is shown to act irreducibly on this basis via raising/lowering op…
A higher rank generalization of the (rank one) Racah algebra is obtained as the symmetry algebra of the Laplace-Dunkl operator associated to the $\mathbb{Z}_2^n$ root system. This algebra is also the invariance algebra of the generic superintegrable model on the $n$-sphere. Bases of Dunkl harmonics are constructed explicitly using a Cauchy-Kovalevskaia theorem. These bases consist of joint eigenfunctions of maximal Abelian subalgebras of the higher rank Racah algebra. A method to obtain expressions for both the connection coefficients between these bases and the action of the symmetries on the…
In this paper, we consider the normalized Bessel function of index $α> -\frac{1}{2}$, we find an integral representation of the term $x^nj_{α+n}(x)j_α(y)$. This allows us to establish a product formula for the generalized Hankel function $B^{κ,n}_λ$ on $\mathbb{R}$. $B^{κ,n}_λ$ is the kernel of the integral transform $\mathcal{F}_{κ,n}$ arising from the Dunkl theory. Indeed we show that $B^{κ,n}_λ(x)B^{κ,n}_λ(y)$ can be expressed as an integral in terms of $B^{κ,n}_λ(z)$ with explicit kernel invoking Gegenbauer polynomials for all $n\in\mathbb{N}^\ast$. The obtained result generalizes the prod…
In this paper we prove sharp $L^\infty$-$L^\infty$-$L^\infty$ decay for certain trilinear oscillatory integral forms of convolution type on $\mathbb R^2$. These estimates imply earlier $L^2$-$L^2$-$L^2$ results obtained by the second author as well as corresponding sharp, stable sublevel set estimates of the form studied by Christ and Christ, Li, Tao, and Thiele. New connections to the multilinear results of Phong, Stein, and Sturm are also considered.
We define and examine nonlinear potential by Bessel convolution with Bessel kernel. We investigate removable sets with respect to Laplace-Bessel inequality. By studying the maximal and fractional maximal measure, a Wolff type inequality is proved. Finally the relation of B-$p$ capacity and B-Lipschitz mapping, and the B-$p$ capacity and weighted Hausdorff measure and the B-$p$ capacity of Cantor sets are examined.
Under the assumption that orthogonal polynomials of several variables admit an addition formula, we can define a convolution structure and use it to study the Fourier orthogonal expansions on a homogeneous space. We define a maximal function via the convolution structure induced by the addition formula and use it to establish a Marcinkiewicz multiplier theorem. For the homogeneous space defined by a family of weight functions on conic domains, we show that the maximal function is bounded by the Hardy-Littlewood maximal function so that the multiplier theorem holds on conic domains.
In this paper we study a question related to the continuity of maximal operators of convolution type acting on $W^{1,1}(\mathbb{R})$. We prove that the map $u\mapsto (u^{*})'$ is continuous from $W^{1,1}(\mathbb{R})$ to $L^{1}(\mathbb{R})$, where $u^{*}$ is the maximal function associated to the Poisson kernel, the Heat kernel or a family of kernels related to the fractional Laplacian. This is the first result of this type for a centered maximal operator.
Following the ideas from a paper by the same author, we prove abstract maximal restriction results for the Fourier transform. Our results deal mainly with maximal operators of convolution-type and $r-$average maximal functions. As a by-product of our techniques we obtain spherical maximal restriction estimates, as well as restriction estimates for $2-$average maximal functions, answering thus points left open by V. Kovač and Müller, Ricci and Wright.
We study negative powers of Laguerre differential operators in $\R$, $d\ge1$. For these operators we prove two-weight $L^p-L^q$ estimates, with ranges of $q$ depending on $p$. The case of the harmonic oscillator (Hermite operator) has recently been treated by Bongioanni and Torrea by using a straightforward approach of kernel estimates. Here these results are applied in certain Laguerre settings. The procedure is fairly direct for Laguerre function expansions of Hermite type, due to some monotonicity properties of the kernels involved. The case of Laguerre function expansions of convolution ty…
We prove endpoint bounds for derivatives of fractional maximal functions with either smooth convolution kernel or lacunary set of radii in dimensions $n \geq 2$. We also show that the spherical fractional maximal function maps $L^{p}$ into a first order Sobolev space in dimensions $n \geq 5$.
In this paper we study the regularity properties of two maximal operators of convolution type: the heat flow maximal operator (associated to the Gauss kernel) and the Poisson maximal operator (associated to the Poisson kernel). In dimension $d=1$ we prove that these maximal operators do not increase the $L^p$-variation of a function for any $p \geq 1$, while in dimensions $d>1$ we obtain the corresponding results for the $L^2$-variation. Similar results are proved for the discrete versions of these operators.
We show that in the study of certain convolution operators, functions can be replaced by measures without changing the size of the constants appearing in weak type (1,1) inequalities. As an application, we prove that the best constants for the centered Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator associated to parallelotopes do not decrease with the dimension.
Consider the surface measure $μ$ on a sphere in a nonvertical hyperplane on the Heisenberg group $\mathbb{H}^n$, $n\ge 2$, and the convolution $f*μ$. Form the associated maximal function $Mf=\sup_{t>0}|f*μ_t|$ generated by the automorphic dilations. We use decoupling inequalities due to Wolff and Bourgain-Demeter to prove $L^p$-boundedness of $M$ in an optimal range.
We prove three results concerning convolution operators and lacunary maximal functions associated to dilates of measures. First, we obtain an $H^1$ to $L^{1,\infty}$ bound for lacunary maximal operators under a dimensional assumption on the underlying measure and an assumption on an $L^p$ regularity bound for some $p>1$. Secondly, we obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for $L^2$ boundedness of lacunary maximal operator associated to averages over convex curves in the plane. Finally we prove an $L^p$ regularity result for such averages. We formulate various open problems.
We prove that maximal operators of convolution type associated to smooth kernels are bounded in the homogeneous Hardy-Sobolev spaces $\dot{H}^{1,p}(\mathbb{R}^d)$ when $1/p < 1+1/d$. This range of exponents is sharp. As a by-product of the proof, we obtain similar results for the local Hardy-Sobolev spaces $\dot{h}^{1,p}(\mathbb{R}^d)$ in the same range of exponents.
The thesis comprises three chapters. Chapter 1 investigates generalizations of the theorem of Fatou for convolution type integral operators with general approximate identities. It is introduced $λ(r)$-convergence, which is a generalization of non-tangential convergence in the unit disc. The connections between general approximate identities and optimal convergence regions for such operators are described in different functional spaces. Chapter 2 studies some generalizations of the theorem of Littlewood, which makes an important complement to the theorem of Fatou, constructing analytic function…
We develop a technique of proving standard estimates in the setting of Laguerre function expansions of convolution type, which works for all admissible type multi-indices $α$ in this context. This generalizes a simpler method existing in the literature, but being valid for a restricted range of $α$. As an application, we prove that several fundamental operators in harmonic analysis of the Laguerre expansions, including maximal operators related to the heat and Poisson semigroups, Riesz transforms, Littlewood-Paley-Stein type square functions and multipliers of Laplace and Laplace-Stieltjes tra…
We study $L^p(μ) \to L^q(ν)$ mapping properties of the convolution operator $ T_λf(x)=λ*(fμ)(x)$ and of the corresponding maximal operator $ {\mathcal T}_λf(x)=\sup_{t>0} |λ_t*(fμ)(x)|$, where $λ$ is a tempered distribution, and $μ$ and $ν$ are compactly supported measures satisfying the polynomial growth bounds $μ(B(x,r)) \leq Cr^{s_μ}$ and $ν(B(x,r)) \leq Cr^{s_ν}$. As a result, we prove variants of the classical $L^p$-improving (Littman; Strichartz) and maximal (Stein) inequalities in a setting where the Plancherel formula is not available. Connections with the David-Semmes conjecture are a…
In this note we give a characterization of $\ell^{p}\times ...\times \ell^{p}\to\ell^q$ boundedness of maximal operators associated to multilinear convolution averages over spheres in $\mathbb{Z}^n$.
We establish a weighted inequality for fractional maximal and convolution type operators, between weak Lebesgue spaces and Wiener amalgam type spaces on $ \mathbb R $ endowed with a measure which needs not to be doubling.
In this paper we study the regularity properties of certain maximal operators of convolution type at the endpoint $p=1$, when acting on radial data. In particular, for the heat flow maximal operator and the Poisson maximal operator, when the initial datum $u_0 \in W^{1,1}( \mathbb{R}^d)$ is a radial function, we show that the associated maximal function $u^*$ is weakly differentiable and $$\|\nabla u^*\|_{L^1(\mathbb{R}^d)} \lesssim_d \|\nabla u_0\|_{L^1(\mathbb{R}^d)}.$$ This establishes the analogue of a recent result of H. Luiro for the uncentered Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator, now in a…
In this paper, we study the boundedness theory for maximal Calderón-Zygmund operators acting on noncommutative $L_p$-spaces. Our first result is a criterion for the weak type $(1,1)$ estimate of noncommutative maximal Calderón-Zygmund operators; as an application, we obtain the weak type $(1,1)$ estimates of operator-valued maximal singular integrals of convolution type under proper {regularity} conditions. These are the {\it first} noncommutative maximal inequalities for families of linear operators that can not be reduced to positive ones. For homogeneous singular integrals, the strong type …

We prove that the class of convolution-type kernels satisfying suitable decay conditions of the Fourier transform, appearing in the works of Christ, Christ-Rubio de Francia, and Duoandikoetxea-Rubio de Francia gives rise to maximally truncated singular integrals satisfying a sparse bound by $(1+\varepsilon,1+\varepsilon)$-averages for all $\varepsilon>0$, with linear growth in $\varepsilon^{-1}$. This is an extension of the sparse domination principle by Conde-Alonso, Culiuc, Ou and the first author to maximally truncated singular integrals. Our results cover the rough homogeneous singular int…
Let $p(\cdot):\ \mathbb R^n\to(0,\infty)$ be a variable exponent function satisfying the globally log-Hölder continuous condition. In this article, the authors first introduce the variable weak Hardy space on $\mathbb R^n$, $W\!H^{p(\cdot)}(\mathbb R^n)$, via the radial grand maximal function, and then establish its radial or non-tangential maximal function characterizations. Moreover, the authors also obtain various equivalent characterizations of $W\!H^{p(\cdot)}(\mathbb R^n)$, respectively, by means of atoms, molecules, the Lusin area function, the Littlewood-Paley $g$-function or $g_λ^\ast…
