In the present paper, we obtain the basic Chen inequalities for submanifolds of quaternion Kaehler-like statistical manifolds. Also, we discuss the same inequality for Lagrangian submanifolds.
In this paper, authors have established Chen's inequalities for the submanifolds of quaternionic Kaehler manifolds characterized by Ricci quarter-symmetric metric connection. Other than these inequalities, we have also derived generalized normalized Casorati curvature inequalities for the same submanifolds.
B. Sahin [9] introduced the notion of anti-invariant Riemannian submersions from almost Hermitian manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds. In the present paper we extend the notion of anti-invariant and Lagrangian Riemannian submersions (a special anti-invariant Riemannian submersion) to the case of locally conformal Kaehler manifolds. We discuss the geometry of foliation and obtain some decomposition theorems for the total manifold of such submersions.
We study generic Riemannian submersions from nearly Kaehler manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds. We investigate conditions for the integrability of various distributions arising for generic Riemannian submersions and also obtain conditions for leaves to be totally geodesic foliations. We obtain conditions for a generic Riemannian submersion to be a totally geodesic map and also study generic Riemannian submersions with totally umbilical fibers. Finally, we derive conditions for generic Riemannian submersions to be harmonic map.
We study the quaternionic Monge-Ampère equation on HKT manifolds admitting an HKT foliation having corank 4. We show that in this setting the quaternionic Monge-Ampère equation has always a unique solution for every basic datum. This approach includes the study of the equation on SU(3).
We introduce the notions of h-conformal slant submersions and almost h-conformal slant submersions from almost quaternionic Hermitian manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds as a generalization of Riemannian submersions, horizontally conformal submersions, slant submersions, h-slant submersions, almost h-slant submersion and conformal slant submersions. We investigate several properties of these including the integrability of distributions, the geometry of foliations and the conditions for such maps to be totally geodesic. Further we give some examples of such maps.
$H$-type foliations $(\mathbb{M},\mathcal{H},g_{\mathcal{H}})$ are studied in the framework of sub-Riemannian geometry with bracket generating distribution defined as the bundle transversal to the fibers. Equipping $\mathbb{M}$ with the Bott connection we consider the scalar horizontal curvature $κ_{\mathcal{H}}$ as well as a new local invariant $τ_{\mathcal{V}}$ induced from the vertical distribution. We extend recent results on the small-time asymptotics of the sub-Riemannanian heat kernel on quaternion-contact (qc-)manifolds due to A. Laaroussi and we express the second heat invariant in su…
Every compact 3-Sasakian 7-manifold $M$ admits a canonical 2-parameter family of co-closed $\text{G}_2$-structures $φ_{a,b}$ for $a,b > 0$, as well as a foliation by $φ_{a,b}$-associative 3-folds whose leaf space $X$ is a positive quaternion-Kähler 4-orbifold. We prove that associative 3-folds in $(M,φ_{a,b})$ that are ruled by a certain type of geodesic are in correspondence with pseudo-holomorphic curves in the almost-complex 8-manifold $Z \times S^2$, where $Z$ is the twistor space of $X$ equipped with its strict nearly-Kähler structure. As an application, we construct infinitely many topol…
Reflection in a line in Euclidean 3-space defines an almost paracomplex structure on the space of all oriented lines, isometric with respect to the canonical neutral Kaehler metric. Beyond Euclidean 3-space, the space of oriented geodesics of any real 3-dimensional space form admits both isometric and anti-isometric paracomplex structures. This paper considers the existence or otherwise of isometric and anti-isometric almost paracomplex structures $j$ on a pseudo-Riemannian 4-manifold $(M,g)$, such that $j$ is parallel with respect to the Levi-Civita connection of $g$. It is shown that if an i…
