A coherent system of type (r,d,k) on a curve C is a pair (E,V) where E is a vector bundle of rank r and degree d and V is a space of sections of E of dimension k. There is a condition of stability on coherent systems that depends on a parameter αand allows to construct moduli spaces for such pairs. This paper shows non-emptiness of these moduli spaces when k>r and some mild conditions on the degree and genus are satisfied.
In this paper, we study the geometric invariant theory on algebraic spaces, and construct te moduli spaces of $\mathcal{H}$-semistable sheaves on projective Deligne-Mumford stacks over algebraic spaces $S$. We prove that this moduli space is projective over $S$ as an algebraic space.
In order to study wall crossing formula of Donaldson type invariants on the blown-up plane, Nakajima-Yoshioka constructed a sequence of blow-up/blow-down diagrams connecting the moduli space of torsion free framed sheaves on projective plane, and that on its blow-up. In this paper, we prove that Nakajima-Yoshioka's diagram realizes the minimal model program. Furthermore, we obtain a fully-faithful embedding between the derived categories of these moduli spaces.
Let $C$ be a curve of genus $g$. A coherent system on $C$ is a pair $(E,V)$, where $E$ is a finite rank vector bundle on $C$ and $V$ is a linear subspace of the space of global sections of $E$. The type of a coherent system $(E,V)$ is a triple $(n,d,k)$, where $n$ is the rank of $E$, $d$ is the degree of $E$ and $k$ is the dimension of $V$. The notion of stability for a coherent system $(E,V)$ differs from the stability of the bundle $E$ and depends on the choice of a real parameter $α$. The moduli space of $α$-stable coherent systems of type $(n,d,k)$ has an expected dimension $β= β(n,d,k)$ w…

We study the wall-crossing for moduli spaces of coherent systems of dimension one and order one on a smooth projective variety over the complex numbers. We compute the topological Euler characteristic of the moduli spaces in the particular case when the variety is a quadric surface, the first Chern class of the coherent systems is of the form (2,r) and the second Chern class is bounded from below by 3r + 1 and also by 4r - 8.
The aim of this paper is to generalize the $m-$Segre invariant for vector bundles to coherent systems. Let $X$ be a non-singular irreducible complex projective curve of genus $g$ over $\mathbb{C}$ and $(E,V)$ be a coherent system on $X$ of type $(n,d,k)$. For any pair of integers $m, t$, $0 < m < n$, $0 \leq t \leq k$ we define the $(m,t)-$Segre invariant, denoted by $S^α_{m,t}$ and show that $S^α_{m,t}$ induces a semicontinuous function on the families of coherent systems. Thus, $S^α_{m,t}$ gives a stratification of the moduli space $G(α;n,d,k)$ of $α-$stable coherent systems of type $(n,d,k)…
We provide a construction of the moduli space of stable coherent sheaves in the world of non-archimedean geometry, where we use the notion of Berkovich non-archimedean analytic spaces. The motivation for our construction is Tony Yue Yu's non-archimedean enumerative geometry in Gromov-Witten theory. The construction of the moduli space of stable sheaves using Berkovich analytic spaces will give rise to the non-archimedean version of Donaldson-Thomas invariants. In this paper we give the moduli construction over a non-archimedean field $\kk$. We use the machinery of formal schemes, that is, we d…
Admissible pairs $((\widetilde S, \widetilde L), \widetilde E)$ consisting of an $N$-dimensional projective scheme~$\widetilde S$ of certain class with a special ample invertible sheaf $\widetilde L$ and a locally free ${\cal O}_{\widetilde S}$-sheaf $\widetilde E$ are considered. An admissible pair can be produced in the procedure of a transformation (which is called a resolution) of a torsion-free coherent sheaf $E$ on a nonsingular $N$-dimensional projective algebraic variety $S$ to a locally free sheaf $\widetilde E$ on some projective scheme $\widetilde S$. Notions of stability and semist…
Let $C$ be a polarized nodal curve of compact type. In this paper we study coherent systems $(E,V)$ on $C$ given by a depth one sheaf $E$ having rank $r$ on each irreducible component of $C$ and a subspace $V \subset H^0(E)$ of dimension $k$. Moduli spaces of stable coherent systems have been introduced by King and Newstead and depend on a real parameter $α$. We show that when $k \geq r$, these moduli spaces coincide for $α$ big enough. Then we deal with the case $k=r+1$: when the degrees of the restrictions of $E$ are big enough we are able to describe an irreducible component of this moduli …
Let $(C,\underline{w})$ be a polarized nodal reducible curve. In this paper we consider coherent systems of type $(r,d,k)$ on $C$ with $k < r$. We prove that the moduli spaces of $(\underline{w},α)$-stable coherent systems stabilize for large $α$ and we generalize several results known for the irreducible case when we chose a good polarization. Then, we study in details the components of moduli spaces containing coherent systems arising from locally free sheaves.
We generalize Luna's fundamental lemma to smooth morphisms between stacks with good moduli spaces. We also give a precise condition for when it holds for non-smooth morphisms and versions for coherent sheaves and complexes. This generalizes earlier results by Alper, Abramovich--Temkin, Edidin and Nevins.
Given a moduli problem posed using Geometric Invariant Theory, one can use Non-Reductive Geometric Invariant Theory to quotient unstable HKKN strata and construct 'moduli spaces of unstable objects', extending the usual moduli classifications. After giving a self-contained account of how to do this, we apply this method to construct moduli spaces for certain unstable coherent sheaves of HN length 2 on a projective scheme, which we call $τ$-stable sheaves. This extends a previous result of Brambila-Paz and Mata-Gutiérrez for rank two vector bundles on a curve.

In a previous paper, the first two named authors established an isomorphism between the moduli space of framed flags of sheaves on the projective plane and the moduli space of stable representations of a certain quiver. In the present note, we substitute one of the claims made, namely [5, Theorem 17], for a weaker claim regarding the existence of unobstructed points in the quiver moduli space. We also extend some of the results of the cited paper, concerning the maximal stability chamber within which the isomorphism mentioned holds, and the existence of a perfect obstruction theory for the qui…
A morphism of the moduli functor of admissible semistable pairs to the Gieseker -- Maruyama moduli functor (of semistable coherent torsion-free sheaves) with the same Hilbert polynomial on the surface, is constructed. It is shown that these functors are isomorphic, and the moduli scheme for semistable admissible pairs $((\tilde S, \tilde L), \tilde E)$ is isomorphic to the Gieseker -- Maruyama moduli scheme. The considerations involve all components of moduli functors and corresponding moduli scheme as they exist.
We generalize the notion of multi-Gieseker semistability for coherent sheaves, introduced by Greb, Ross, and Toma, to quiver sheaves for a quiver $Q$. We construct coarse moduli spaces for semistable quiver sheaves using a functorial method that realizes these as subschemes of moduli spaces of representations of a twisted quiver, depending on $Q$, with relations. We also show the projectivity of the moduli space in the case when $Q$ has no oriented cycles. Finally, we investigate the parameter dependence of the moduli.
We define a one-dimensional family of "Euler" stability conditions on $\mathbb{P}^n$ which are conjectured to converge to Gieseker stability for coherent sheaves. Here, we focus on ${\mathbb P}^3$, first identifying Euler stability conditions with double-tilt stability conditions, and then we consider moduli of one-dimensional sheaves, proving some asymptotic results, boundedness for walls, and then explicitly computing walls and wall-crossings for sheaves supported on rational curves of degrees $3$ and $4$.
