A morphism of the moduli functor of admissible semistable pairs to the Gieseker -- Maruyama moduli functor (of semistable coherent torsion-free sheaves) with the same Hilbert polynomial on the surface, is constructed. It is shown that these functors are isomorphic, and main components of moduli scheme for semistable admissible pairs are isomorphic to main components of the Gieseker -- Maruyama moduli scheme

On a morphism of compactifications of moduli schemes of vector bundes

A morphism of nonreduced Gieseker - Maruyama functor (of semistable coherent torsion-free sheaves) on a surface to the nonreduced functor of admissible semistable pairs with the same Hilbert polynomial, is constructed. This leads to the morphism of moduli schemes with possibly nonreduced scheme structures. As usually, we consider subfunctors corresponding to main components of moduli schemes.

On a new compactification of moduli of vector bundles on a surface, IV: Nonreduced moduli

The construction for nonreduced projective moduli scheme of semistable admissible pairs is performed. We establish the relation of this moduli scheme with reduced moduli scheme built up in the previous article and prove that nonreduced moduli scheme contains an open subscheme which is isomorphic to moduli scheme of semistable vector bundles.

On isomorphisms between Siegel modular threefolds

The Satake compactification of the moduli space of principally polarized abelian surfaces with a level two structure has a degree 8 endomorphism. The aim of this paper is to show that this result can be extended to other modular threefolds. The main tools are Siegel modular forms and Satake compactifications of arithmetic quotients of the Siegel upper-half space. The moduli spaces of hyperelliptic curves and binary forms

There is a canonical isomorphism between the coarse moduli spaces of somooth hyperelliptic curves of genus g and binary forms of degree 2g+2 with nonzero discriminant. In this paper, we study the extension of this isomorphism to the compactification of these moduli spaces. The main result is that the canonical isomorphism above extends to a holomorphic map f_g from the compactication of the moduli space of hyperelliptic curves of genus g to the compactification of the moduli space of binary forms of degree 2g+2. Moreover, we work out how the boundary components are contracted by the map f_g.

Geometric interpretation of toroidal compactifications of moduli of points in the line and cubic surfaces

It is known that some GIT compactifications associated to moduli spaces of either points in the projective line or cubic surfaces are isomorphic to Baily-Borel compactifications of appropriate ball quotients. In this paper, we show that their respective toroidal compactifications are isomorphic to moduli spaces of stable pairs as defined in the context of the MMP. Moreover, we give a precise mixed-Hodge-theoretic interpretation of this isomorphism for the case of eight labeled points in the projective line.

A morphism of the reduced Gieseker -- Maruyama moduli functor (of semistable coherent torsion-free sheaves) to the reduced moduli functor of admissible semistable pairs with the same Hilbert polynomial, is constructed. It is shown that main components of reduced moduli scheme for semistable admissible pairs ((\tilde S, \tilde L), \tilde E) are isomorphic to main components of reduced Gieseker -- Maruyama moduli scheme.

On the moduli space of pairs consisting of a cubic threefold and a hyperplane

We study the moduli space of pairs $(X,H)$ consisting of a cubic threefold $X$ and a hyperplane $H$ in $\mathbb P^4$. The interest in this moduli comes from two sources: the study of certain weighted hypersurfaces whose middle cohomology admit Hodge structures of $K3$ type and, on the other hand, the study of the singularity $O_{16}$ (the cone over a cubic surface). The stability space of compactified universal Jacobians

In this paper we describe compactified universal Jacobians, i.e. compactifications of the moduli space of line bundles on smooth curves obtained as moduli spaces of rank 1 torsion-free sheaves on stable curves, using an approach due to Oda-Seshadri. We focus on the combinatorics of the stability conditions used to define compactified universal Jacobians. Let $X$ be a compact Calabi-Yau 3-fold, and write $\mathcal M,\bar{\mathcal M}$ for the moduli stacks of objects in coh$(X),D^b$coh$(X)$.
