This paper continues the study of cluster algebras initiated in math.RT/0104151. Its main result is the complete classification of the cluster algebras of finite type, i.e., those with finitely many clusters. This classification turns out to be identical to the Cartan-Killing classification of semisimple Lie algebras and finite root systems, which is intriguing since in most cases, the symmetry exhibited by the Cartan-Killing type of a cluster algebra is not at all apparent from its geometric origin.
The combinatorial structure behind a cluster algebra of finite type is captured by its cluster complex. We identify this complex as the normal fan of a generalized associahedron introduced and studied in hep-th/0111053 and math.CO/0202004. Another essential combinatorial ingredient of our arguments is a new characterization of the Dynkin diagrams.
This is a first step guide to the theory of cluster algebras. We especially focus on basic notions, techniques, and results concerning seeds, cluster patterns, and cluster algebras.
We develop an elementary formula for certain non-trivial elements of upper cluster algebras. These elements have positive coefficients. We show that when the cluster algebra is acyclic these elements form a basis. Using this formula, we show that each non-acyclic skew-symmetric cluster algebra of rank 3 is properly contained in its upper cluster algebra.
In 2003, Fomin and Zelevinsky obtained Cartan-Killing type classification of all cluster algebras of finite type, i.e. cluster algebras having only finitely many distinct cluster variables. A wider class of cluster algebras is formed by cluster algebras of finite mutation type which have finitely many exchange matrices (but are allowed to have infinitely many cluster variables). In this paper we classify all cluster algebras of finite mutation type with skew-symmetric exchange matrices. Besides cluster algebras of rank 2 and cluster algebras associated with triangulations of surfaces there are…
The paper is devoted to classification problem of finite dimensional complex none Lie filiform Leibniz algebras. Actually, the observations show there are two resources to get classification of filiform Leibniz algebras. The first of them is naturally graded none Lie filiform Leibniz algebras and the another one is naturally graded filiform Lie algebras. Using the first resource we get two disjoint classes of filiform Leibniz algebras. The present paper deals with the second of the above two classes, the first class has been considered in our previous paper. The algebraic classification here m…
F-polynomials and g-vectors were defined by Fomin and Zelevinsky to give a formula which expresses cluster variables in a cluster algebra in terms of the initial cluster data. A quantum cluster algebra is a certain noncommutative deformation of a cluster algebra. In this paper, we define and prove the existence of analogous quantum F-polynomials for quantum cluster algebras. We prove some properties of quantum F-polynomials. In particular, we give a recurrence relation which can be used to compute them. Finally, we compute quantum F-polynomials and g-vectors for a certain class of cluster vari…
We extend the construction of canonical bases for cluster algebras from unpunctured surfaces to the case where the number of marked points is one, and we show that the cluster algebra is equal to the upper cluster algebra in this case.
An algebraic classification of complex $5$-dimensional nilpotent commutative $\mathfrak{CD}$-algebras is given. This classification is based on an algebraic classification of complex $5$-dimensional nilpotent Jordan algebras.
Using the algebraic classification of all $2$-dimensional algebras, we give the algebraic classification of all $2$-dimensional rigid, conservative and terminal algebras over an algebraically closed field of characteristic 0. We have the geometric classification of the variety of $2$-dimensional terminal algebras, and based on the geometric classification of these algebras we formulate some open problems.
A major direction in the theory of cluster algebras is to construct (quantum) cluster algebra structures on the (quantized) coordinate rings of various families of varieties arising in Lie theory. We prove that all algebras in a very large axiomatically defined class of noncommutative algebras possess canonical quantum cluster algebra structures. Furthermore, they coincide with the corresponding upper quantum cluster algebras. We also establish analogs of these results for a large class of Poisson nilpotent algebras. Many important families of coordinate rings are subsumed in the class we are …
We establish basic properties of cluster algebras associated with oriented bordered surfaces with marked points. In particular, we show that the underlying cluster complex of such a cluster algebra does not depend on the choice of coefficients, describe this complex explicitly in terms of "tagged triangulations" of the surface, and determine its homotopy type and its growth rate.
This paper is devoted to the complete algebraic classification of complex $5$-dimensional nilpotent commutative algebras. Our method of classification is based on the standard method of classification of central extensions of smaller nilpotent commutative algebras and the recently obtained classification of complex $5$-dimensional nilpotent commutative $\mathfrak{CD}$-algebras.
We describe a new way to relate an acyclic, skew-symmetrizable cluster algebra to the representation theory of a finite dimensional hereditary algebra. This approach is designed to explain the c-vectors of the cluster algebra. We obtain a necessary and sufficient combinatorial criterion for a collection of vectors to be the c-vectors of some cluster in the cluster algebra associated to a given skew-symmetrizable matrix. Our approach also yields a simple proof of the known result that the c-vectors of an acyclic cluster algebra are sign-coherent, from which Nakanishi and Zelevinsky have showed …
We introduce a quantisation of the Coxeter-Conway frieze patterns and prove that they realise quantum cluster variables in quantum cluster algebras associated with linearly oriented Dynkin quivers of type A. As an application, we obtain the explicit polynomials arising from the lower bound phenomenon in these quantum cluster algebras.
In the paper we give a complete classification of $2$-dimensional evolution algebras over algebraically closed fields, describe their groups of automorphisms and derivation algebras.
The Leibniz algebras appeared as a generalization of the Lie algebras. In this work we deal with the classification of nilpotent complex Leibniz algebras of low dimensions. Namely, the classification of nilpotent complex Leibniz algebras dimensions less than 3 is extended to the dimension four. {\it AMS Subject Classifications}: 16D70, 17A30, 17A60, 17B30 {\it Key words:} Leibniz algebra, associative algebra, nilpotence, nulfiliform Leibniz algebra, filiform Leibniz algebra.
In this paper, we prove some combinatorial results on generalized cluster algebras. To be more precisely, we prove that (i) the seeds of a generalized cluster algebra $\mathcal A(\mathcal S)$ whose clusters contain particular cluster variables form a connected subgraph of the exchange graph of $\mathcal A(\mathcal S)$; (ii) there exists a bijection from the set of cluster variables of a generalized cluster algebra to the set of cluster variables of another generalized cluster algebra, if their initial exchange matrices satisfying a mild condition. Moreover, this bijection preserves the set of …
The paper is devoted to give the complete algebraic classification of nilpotent binary Lie algebras of dimension $\leq 6$ over an arbitrary base field ${\mathbb{F}}$ of characteristic not $2$ and the complete geometric classification of nilpotent binary Lie algebras of dimension $6$ over $\mathbb C.$ As an application, we have the algebraic and geometric classification of nilpotent anticommutative $\mathfrak{CD}$-algebras of dimension $\leq 6.$
Cluster-tilted algebras are trivial extensions of tilted algebras. This correspondence induces a surjective map from tilted algebras to cluster-tilted algebras. If B is a cluster-tilted algebra, we use the fibre of B under this map to study the module category of B. In particular, we introduce the notion of reflections of tilted algebras and define an algorithm that constructs the transjective component of the Auslander-Reiten quiver of cluster-tilted algebras of tree type.
We give the complete algebraic classification of all complex 4-dimensional nilpotent algebras. The final list has 234 (parametric families of) isomorphism classes of algebras, 66 of which are new in the literature.
Zusmanovich gave a fundamental result on the structure of $ω$-Lie algebras. But up to now, the classification of $ω$-Lie algebras is still open. In this paper, we give a complete classification of $ω$-Lie algebras over $\mathbb C$.
Cluster algebras were introduced by S. Fomin and A. Zelevinsky in connection with dual canonical bases. To a cluster algebra of simply laced Dynkin type one can associate the cluster category. Any cluster of the cluster algebra corresponds to a tilting object in the cluster category. The cluster tilted algebra is the algebra of endomorphisms of that tilting object. Viewing the cluster tilted algebra as a path algebra of a quiver with relations, we prove in this paper that the quiver of the cluster tilted algebra is equal to the cluster diagram. We study also the relations. As an application of…
In this paper, we classify flnite dimensional multiplicative simple BiHom-Lie algebras by investigating the corresponding semisimple Lie algebras and we give a complete classification of the complex 3-dimensional multiplicative BiHom-Lie algebras.
This paper is devoted to the description of complex finite-dimensional algebras of level two. We obtain the classification of algebras of level two in the varieties of Jordan, Lie and associative algebras.
We study the $c$-vectors, $g$-vectors, and $F$-polynomials for generalized cluster algebras satisfying a normalization condition and a power condition recovering classical recursions and separation of additions formulas. We establish a relationship between the $c$-vectors, $g$-vectors, and $F$-polynomials of such a generalized cluster algebra and its (left- and right-) companion cluster algebras. Our main result states that the cluster variables and coefficients of the (left- and right-) companion cluster algebras can be recovered via a specialization of the $F$-polynomials.
We describe a method for classifying the Novikov algebras with a given associated Lie algebra. Subsequently we give the classification of the Novikov algebras of dimension 3 over R and C, as well as the classification of the 4-dimensional Novikov algebras over C whose associated Lie algebra is nilpotent. In particular this includes a list of all 4-dimensional commutative associative algebras over C.
We develop tools for classification of contraction algebras and apply these to solve the problem on classification up to isomorphism of 8 and 9 dimensional algebras corresponding to 3-fold flops. We prove that there is only one up to isomorphism contraction algebra of dimension 8, and two algebras of dimension 9. The formulae for the dimension of algebra, depending on the type of the potential are obtained. In the second part of the paper we show that associated graded structure to brace and truss with appropriate descending ideal filtration is pre-Lie.
In this paper we give classification of two-dimensional real evolution algebras. For several chains of evolution algebras we study their classification dynamics.
The classification, up to isomorphism, of two-dimensional (not necessarily commutative) Jordan algebras over algebraically closed fields and $\mathbb{R}$ is presented in terms of their matrices of structure constants.
This paper is devoted to the description of complex finite-dimensional algebras of level two. We obtain the classification of algebras of level two in the variety of Leibniz algebras. It is shown that, up to isomorphism, there exist three Leibniz algebras of level two, one of which is solvable, and two of which are nilpotent. Moreover we describe all algebras of level two in the variety of nilpotent algebras.
We illustrate some simple ideas that can be used for obtaining a classification of small-dimensional solvable Lie algebras.Using these we obtain the classification of 3 and 4 dimensional solvable Lie algebras (over fields of any characteristic). Precise conditions for isomorphism are given.
A cluster automorphism is a $\mathbb{Z}$-algebra automorphism of a cluster algebra $\mathcal A$ satisfying that it sends a cluster to another and commutes with mutations. Chang and Schiffler conjectured that a cluster automorphism of $\mathcal A$ is just a $\mathbb{Z}$-algebra homomorphism of a cluster algebra sending a cluster to another. The aim of this article is to prove this conjecture.
In this work we study the connection between iterated tilted algebras and m-cluster tilted algebras. We show that an iterated tilted algebra induces an m-cluster tilted algebra. This m-cluster tilted algebra can be seen as a trivial extension of another iterated tilted algebra which is derived equivalent to the original one. We give a procedure to find this new iterated tilted algebra. These m-cluster tilted algebras are quotients of higher relation extensions.
This paper is a contribution to the development of the non associative algebras theory. More precisely, this work deals with the classification of the complex 4-dimensional Leibniz algebras. Note that the classification of 4-dimensional nilpotent complex Leibniz algebras was obtained in [1]. Therefore we will only consider non nilpotent case in this work.
We give algebraic and geometric classifications of complex $4$-dimensional nilpotent noncommutative Jordan algebras. Specifically, we find that, up to isomorphism, there are only $18$ non-isomorphic nontrivial nilpotent noncommutative Jordan algebras. The corresponding geometric variety is determined by the Zariski closure of $3$ rigid algebras and $2$ one-parametric families of algebras.
In this paper we give the classification of the irreducible non solvable Lie algebras of dimensions $\leq 13$ with nondegenerate, symmetric and invariant bilinear forms.
We give the classification of all $n$-dimensional anticommutative complex algebras with $(n-3)$-dimensional annihilator. Namely, we describe all central extensions of all $3$-dimensional anticommutative complex algebras.
In this paper we show that the method for describing solvable Lie algebras with given nilradical by means of non-nilpotent outer derivations of the nilradical is also applicable to the case of Leibniz algebras. Using this method we extend the classification of solvable Lie algebras with naturally graded filiform Lie algebra to the case of Leibniz algebras. Namely, the classification of solvable Leibniz algebras whose nilradical is a naturally graded filiform Leibniz algebra is obtained.
Decomposition algebras and axial decomposition algebras are classes of commutative nonassociative algebras which are generalizations of axial algebras. The classes decomposition algebras, axial decomposition al;gebras and non-primitive axial algebras also have univesal algebras. Furthermore, by using the existence of a universal algebra, 2-generated non-primitive axial algebras of Jordan type is classified.
Recent articles have shown the connection between representation theory of quivers and the theory of cluster algebras. In this article, we prove that some cluster algebras of type ADE can be recovered from the data of the corresponding quiver representation category. This also provides some explicit formulas for cluster variables.
