A brief review of bicovariant differential calculi on finite groups is given, with some new developments on diffeomorphisms and integration. We illustrate the general theory with the example of the nonabelian finite group S_3.
We show that if two Hopf algebras are monoidally equivalent, then their categories of bicovariant differential calculi are equivalent. We then classify, for $q \in \mathbb{C}^*$ not a root of unity, the finite dimensional bicovariant differential calculi over the Hopf algebra $\mathcal{O}_q(SL_2)$. Using a monoidal equivalence between free orthogonal Hopf algebras and $\mathcal{O}_q(SL_2)$ for a given $q$, this leads us to the classification of finite dimensional bicovariant differential calculi over free orthogonal Hopf algebras.
A unitary orthosymplectic quantum supergroup is introduced. Two covariant differential calculi on the quantum superspace $SP_q^{1|2}$ are presented. The $h$-deformed symplectic superspaces via a contraction of the $q$-deformed symplectic superspaces are obtained. A new $h$-deformation of the Heisenberg superalgebra is given.
In this work, we introduce the ${\mathbb Z}_3$-graded differential algebra, denoted by $Ω(\widetilde{\rm GL}_q(2))$, treated as the ${\mathbb Z}_3$-graded quantum de Rham complex of ${\mathbb Z}_3$-graded quantum group $\widetilde{\rm GL}_q(2)$. In this sense, we construct left-covariant differential calculi on the ${\mathbb Z}_3$-graded quantum group $\widetilde{\rm GL}_q(2)$.
Given a tame differential calculus over a noncommutative algebra $\mathcal{A}$ and an $\mathcal{A}$-bilinear pseudo-Riemannian metric $g_0,$ consider the conformal deformation $ g = k. g_0, $ $k$ being an invertible element of $\mathcal{A}.$We prove that there exists a unique connection $\nabla$ on the bimodule of one-forms of the differential calculus which is torsionless and compatible with $g.$ We derive a concrete formula connecting $\nabla$ and the Levi-Civita connection for the pseudo-Riemannian metric $g_0.$ As an application, we compute the Ricci and scalar curvature for a general conf…
We propose a sheaf-theoretic approach to the theory of differential calculi on quantum principal bundles over non-affine bases. After recalling the affine case we define differential calculi on sheaves of comodule algebras as sheaves of covariant bimodules together with a morphism of sheaves -- the differential -- such that the Leibniz rule and surjectivity hold locally. The main class of examples is given by covariant calculi over quantum flag manifolds, which we provide via an explicit Ore extension construction. In a second step we introduce principal covariant calculi by requiring a local …
The consistent reduction of the differential calculus on the quantum group $GL_{q}(2,C)$ to the differential calculi on its subgroups and $σ$-models on the quantum group manifolds $SL_{q}(2,R)$, $SL_{q}(2,R)/U_{h}(1)$, $C{q}(2|0)$ and infinitesimal transformations
We equip a family of algebras whose noncommutativity is of Lie type with a derivation based differential calculus obtained, upon suitably using both inner and outer derivations, as a reduction of a redundant calculus over the Moyal four dimensional space.
We prove that all quantum irreducible flag manifolds admit Kähler structures, as defined by Ó Buachalla. In order to show this result, we also prove that the differential calculi defined by Heckenberger and Kolb are differential *-calculi in a natural way.
Elements of noncommutative differential geometry of ${\mathbb Z}$-graded generalized Weyl algebras ${\mathcal A}(p;q)$ over the ring of polynomials in two variables and their zero-degree subalgebras ${\mathcal B}(p;q)$, which themselves are generalized Weyl algebras over the ring of polynomials in one variable, are discussed. In particular, three classes of skew derivations of ${\mathcal A}(p;q)$ are constructed, and three-dimensional first-order differential calculi induced by these derivations are described. The associated integrals are computed and it is shown that the dimension of the inte…
We study covariant derivatives on a class of centered bimodules $\mathcal{E}$ over an algebra A. We begin by identifying a $\mathbb{Z} ( A ) $-submodule $ \mathcal{X} ( A ) $ which can be viewed as the analogue of vector fields in this context; $ \mathcal{X} ( A ) $ is proven to be a Lie algebra. Connections on $\mathcal{E}$ are in one to one correspondence with covariant derivatives on $ \mathcal{X} ( A ). $ We recover the classical formulas of torsion and metric compatibility of a connection in the covariant derivative form. As a result, a Koszul formula for the Levi-Civita connection is als…
