The semisimple Frobenius manifolds related to the Hurwitz spaces $H_{g,N}(k_1, ..., k_l)$ are considered. We show that the corresponding isomonodromic tau-function $τ_I$ coincides with $(-1/2)$-power of the Bergmann tau-function which was introduced in a recent work by the authors \cite{KokKor}. This enables us to calculate explicitly the $G$-function of Frobenius manifolds related to the Hurwitz spaces $H_{0, N}(k_1, ..., k_l)$ and $H_{1, N}(k_1, ..., k_l)$. As simple consequences we get formulas for the $G$-functions of the Frobenius manifolds ${\mathbb C}^N/\tilde{W}^k(A_{N-1})$ and ${\mathbb C}\times{\mathbb C}^{N-1}\times\{\Im z >0\}/J(A_{N-1})$, where $\tilde{W}^k(A_{N-1})$ is an extended affine Weyl group and $J(A_{N-1})$ is a Jacobi group, in particular, proving the conjecture of \cite{Strachan}. In case of Frobenius manifolds related to Hurwitz spaces $H_{g, N}(k_1, ..., k_l)$ with $g\geq2$ we obtain formulas for $|τ_I|^2$ which allows to compute the real part of the $G$-function.
New Frobenius structures on Hurwitz spaces are found. A Hurwitz space is considered as a real manifold; therefore the number of coordinates is twice as large as the number of coordinates on Hurwitzs Frobenius manifolds of Dubrovin. Simple branch points of a ramified covering and their complex conjugates play the role of canonical coordinates on the constructed Frobenius manifolds. Corresponding solutions to WDVV equations and G-functions are obtained.
In this work we find the isomonodromic (Jimbo-Miwa) tau-function corresponding to Frobenius manifold structures on Hurwitz spaces. We discuss several applications of this result. First, we get an explicit expression for the G-function (solution of Getzler's equation) of the Hurwitz Frobenius manifolds. Second, in terms of this tau-function we compute the genus one correction to the free energy of hermitian two-matrix model. Third, we find the Jimbo-Miwa tau-function of an arbitrary Riemann-Hilbert problem with quasi-permutation monodromy matrices. Finally, we get a new expression (analog of ge…
Solutions to the Riemann-Hilbert problems with irregular singularities naturally associated to semisimple Frobenius manifold structures on Hurwitz spaces (moduli spaces of meromorphic functions on Riemann surfaces) are constructed. The solutions are given in terms of meromorphic bidifferentials defined on the underlying Riemann surface. The relationship between different classes of Frobenius manifold structures on Hurwitz spaces (real doubles, deformations) is described on the level of the corresponding Riemann-Hilbert problems.
In this note we use the formalism of multi-KP hierarchies in order to give some general formulas for infinitesimal deformations of solutions of the Darboux-Egoroff system. As an application, we explain how Shramchenko's deformations of Frobenius manifold structures on Hurwitz spaces fit into the general formalism of Givental-van de Leur twisted loop group action on the space of semi-simple Frobenius manifolds.
In this paper we study the Fuchsian Riemann-Hilbert (inverse monodromy) problem corresponding to Frobenius structures on Hurwitz spaces. We find a solution to this Riemann-Hilbert problem in terms of integrals of certain meromorphic differentials over a basis of an appropriate relative homology space, study the corresponding monodromy group and compute the monodromy matrices explicitly for various special cases.
We construct Frobenius structures of "dual type" on the moduli space of ramified coverings of $\mathbb{P}^1$ with given ramification type over two points, generalizing a construction of Dubrovin. A complete hierarchy of hydrodynamic type is obtained from the corresponding deformed flat connection. This provides a suitable framework for the Whitham theory of an enlarged class of integrable hierarchies; we treat as examples the q-deformed Gelfand-Dickey hierarchy and the sine-Gordon equation, and compute the corresponding solutions of the WDVV equations.
Deformations of Dubrovin's Hurwitz Frobenius manifolds are constructed. The deformations depend on $g(g+1)/2$ complex parameters where $g$ is the genus of the corresponding Riemann surface. In genus one, the flat metric of the deformed Frobenius manifold coincides with a metric associated with a one-parameter family of solutions to the Painlevé-VI equation with coefficients $(1/8,-1/8,1/8,3/8).$ Analogous deformations of the real doubles of the Hurwitz Frobenius manifolds are also found; these deformations depend on $g(g+1)/2$ real parameters.
Hurwitz spaces parameterizing covers of the Riemann sphere can be equipped with a Frobenius structure. In this review, we recall the construction of such Hurwitz Frobenius manifolds as well as the correspondence between semisimple Frobenius manifolds and the topological recursion formalism. We then apply this correspondence to Hurwitz Frobenius manifolds by explaining that the corresponding primary invariants can be obtained as periods of multidifferentials globally defined on a compact Riemann surface by topological recursion. Finally, we use this construction to reply to the following questi…
The isomonodromic tau-function for the Hurwitz spaces of branched coverings of genus zero and one are constructed explicitly. Such spaces may be equipped with the structure of a Frobenius manifold and this introduces a flat coordinate system on the manifold. The isomonodromic tau-function, and in particular the associated $G$-function, are rewritten in these coordinates and an interpretation in terms of the caustics (where the multiplication is not semisimple) is given.
Infinite-dimensional universal Cardy-Frobenius algebra is constructed, which unifies all particular algebras of closed and open Hurwitz numbers and is closely related to the algebra of differential operators, familiar from the theory of Generalized Kontsevich Model.
A Frobenius manifold has tri-hamiltonian structure if it is even-dimensional and its spectrum is maximally degenerate. We focus on the case of dimension four and show that, under the assumption of semisimplicity, the corresponding isomonodromic Fuchsian system is described by the Painlevé VI$μ$ equation. This yields an explicit procedure associating to any semisimple Frobenius manifold of dimension three a tri-hamiltonian Frobenius manifold of dimension four. We carry out explicit examples for the case of Frobenius structures on Hurwitz spaces.
The space of Frobenius manifolds has a natural involutive symmetry on it: there exists a map $I$ which send a Frobenius manifold to another Frobenius manifold. Also, from a Frobenius manifold one may construct a so-called almost dual Frobenius manifold which satisfies almost all of the axioms of a Frobenius manifold. The action of $I$ on the almost dual manifolds is studied, and the action of $I$ on objects such as periods, twisted periods and flows is studied. A distinguished class of Frobenius manifolds sit at the fixed point of this involutive symmetry, and this is made manifest in certain …
We construct a class of infinite-dimensional Frobenius manifolds on the spaces of pairs of meromorphic functions with a pole at infinity and a movable pole. Such Frobenius manifolds are shown to be underlying the universal Whitham hierarchy, which is an extension of the dispersionless Kadomtsev-Petviashvili hierarchy.
The moduli space of Frobenius manifolds carries a natural involutive symmetry, and a distinguished class - so-called modular Frobenius manifolds - lie at the fixed points of this symmetry. In this paper a classification of semi-simple modular Frobenius manifolds which are polynomial in all but one of the variables is begun, and completed for three and four dimensional manifolds. The resulting examples may also be obtained from higher dimensional manifolds by a process of folding. The relationship of these results with orbifold quantum cohomology is also discussed.
We consider a Frobenius structure associated with the dispersionless Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation. This is done, essentially, by applying a continuous analogue of the finite dimensional theory in the space of Schwartz functions on the line. The potential of the Frobenius manifold is found to be a logarithmic potential with quadratic external field. Following the construction of the principal hierarchy, we construct a set of infinitely many commuting flows, which extends the classical dKP hierarchy.
We investigate the solutions to open WDVV equation, associated to type A and D Dubrovin-Frobenius manifolds. We show that these solutions satisfy some stabilization condition and associate to both of them the systems of commuting PDEs. In the type A we show that the system of PDEs constructed coincides with the dispersionless modifiled KP hierarchy written in the Fay form.
The G-function associated to the semi-simple Frobenius manifold C^n/W (where W is a Coxeter group or an extended affine Weyl group) is studied. The general form of the G function is given in terms of a logarithmic singularity over caustics in the manifold. The main result in this paper is a universal formula for the G-function corresponding to the Frobenius manifold C^n/W^(k)(A_{n-1}) where W^(k)(A_{n-1}) is a certain extended affine Weyl group (or, equivalently, corresponding to the Hurwitz space M_{0;k-1,n-k-1}), together with the general form of the G-function in terms of data on caustics. …
We construct a class of infinite-dimensional Frobenius manifolds on the space of pairs of certain even functions meromorphic inside or outside the unit circle. Via a bi-Hamiltonian recursion relation, the principal hierarchies associated to such Frobenius manifolds are found to be certain extensions of the dispersionless two-component BKP hierarchy. Moreover, we show that these infinite-dimensional Frobenius manifolds contain finite-dimensional Frobenius submanifolds as defined on the orbit space of Coxeter groups of types B and D.
We define a dispersionless tau-symmetric bihamiltonian integrable hierarchy on the space of pairs of functions analytic inside/outside the unit circle with simple poles at $0$/$\infty$ respectively, which extends the dispersionless 2D Toda hierarchy of Takasaki and Takebe. Then we construct the deformed flat connection of the infinite-dimen\-sional Frobenius manifold $M_0$ introduced by Carlet, Dubrovin and Mertens in Math. Ann. 349 (2011) 75--115 and, by explicitly solving the deformed flatness equations, we prove that the extended 2D Toda hierarchy coincides with principal hierarchy of $M_0$…
Submanifolds of Frobenius manifolds are studied. In particular, so-called natural submanifolds are defined and, for semi-simple Frobenius manifolds, classified. These carry the structure of a Frobenius algebra on each tangent space, but will, in general, be curved. The induced curvature is studied, a main result being that these natural submanifolds carry a induced pencil of compatible metrics. It is then shown how one may constrain the bi-Hamiltonian hierarchies associated to a Frobenius manifold to live on these natural submanifolds whilst retaining their, now non-local, bi-Hamiltonian struc…
We give a short review of Frobenius manifolds and algebraic integrability and study their intersection. The simplest case is the relation between the Frobenius manifold of simple singularities, which is almost dual to the integrable open Toda chain. New types of manifolds called extra special Kaehler and special F-manifolds are introduced which capture the intersection.
In this note I exhibit a "discrete homotopy" which joins the category of F-manifolds to the category of Poisson-Nijenhuis manifolds, passing through the category of Frobenius manifolds.
We present a new class of extended affine Weyl groups $\widetilde{W}^{(k,k+1)}(A_l)$ for $1\leq k <l$ and obtain an analogue of Chevalley-type theorem for their invariants. We further show the existence of Frobenius manifold structures on the orbit spaces of $\widetilde{W}^{(k,k+1)}(A_l)$ and also construct Landau--Ginzburg superpotentials for these Frobenius manifold structures.
We obtain algebraic Frobenius manifolds from classical $W$-algebras associated to subregular nilpotent elements in simple Lie algebras of type $D_r$ where $r$ is even and $E_r$. The resulting Frobenius manifolds are certain hypersurfaces in the total spaces of semiuniversal deformation of simple hypersurface singularities of the same types.
For an arbitrary calibrated Frobenius manifold, we construct an infinite dimensional Lie algebra, called the Virasoro-like algebra, which is a deformation of the Virasoro algebra of the Frobenius manifold. By using the Virasoro-like algebra we give a family of quadratic PDEs that are satisfied by the genus-zero free energy of the Frobenius manifold. We also derive, under the semisimplicity assumption, the Virasoro constraints for the corresponding abstract Hodge partition function.
A general scheme for construction of flat pencils of contravariant metrics and Frobenius manifolds as well as related solutions to WDVV associativity equations is formulated. The advantage is taken from the Rota-Baxter identity and some relation being counterpart of the modified Yang-Baxter identity from the classical $r$-matrix formalism. The scheme for the construction of Frobenius manifolds is illustrated on the algebras of formal Laurent series and meromorphic functions on Riemann sphere.
For the root systems of type $B_l, C_l$ and $D_l$, we generalize the result of \cite{DZ1998} by showing the existence of Frobenius manifold structures on the orbit spaces of the extended affine Weyl groups that correspond to any vertex of the Dynkin diagram instead of a particular choice made in \cite{DZ1998}. It also depends on certain additional data. We also construct LG superpotentials for these Frobenius manifold structures.
We obtain polynomial Frobenius manifolds from classical $W$-algebras associated to regular nilpotent elements in simple Lie algebras using the related opposite Cartan subalgebras.
We present a project of classification of a certain class of bihamiltonian 1+1 PDEs depending on a small parameter. Our aim is to embed the theory of Gromov - Witten invariants of all genera into the theory of integrable systems. The project is focused at describing normal forms of the PDEs and their local bihamiltonian structures satisfying certain simple axioms. A Frobenius manifold or its degeneration is associated to every bihamiltonian structure of our type. The main result is a universal loop equation on the jet space of a semisimple Frobenius manifold that can be used for perturbative r…
The notion of integrability will often extend from systems with scalar-valued fields to systems with algebra-valued fields. In such extensions the properties of, and structures on, the algebra play a central role in ensuring integrability is preserved. In this paper a new theory of Frobenius-algebra valued integrable systems is developed. This is achieved for systems derived from Frobenius manifolds by utilizing the theory of tensor products for such manifolds, as developed by Kaufmann, Kontsevich and Manin \cite{Kaufmann,KMK}. By specializing this construction, using a fixed Frobenius algebra…
We propose a new construction of an integrable hierarchy associated to any infinite series of Frobenius manifolds satisfying a certain stabilization condition. We study these hierarchies for Frobenius manifolds associated to $A_N$, $D_N$ and $B_N$ singularities. In the case of $A_N$ Frobenius manifolds our hierarchy turns out to coincide with the KP hierarchy; for $B_N$ Frobenius manifolds it coincides with the BKP hierarchy; and for $D_N$ hierarchy it is a certain reduction of the 2-component BKP hierarchy. As a side product to these results we illustrate the enumerative meaning of certain co…
The notion of a Frobenius submanifold - a submanifold of a Frobenius manifold which is itself a Frobenius manifold with respect to structures induced from the original manifold - is studied. Two dimensional submanifolds are particularly simple. More generally, sufficient conditions are given for a submanifold to be a so-called natural submanifold. These ideas are illustrated using examples of Frobenius manifolds constructed from Coxeter groups, and for the Frobenius manifolds governing the quantum cohomology of CP^2 and CP^1 \times CP^1.
Following the approach of Carlet et al.(2011)\cite{CDM}, we construct a class of infinite-dimensional Frobenius manifolds underlying the Toda lattice hierarchy, which are defined on the space of pairs of meromorphic functions with possibly higher-order poles at the origin and at infinity. We also show a connection between these infinite-dimensional Frobenius manifolds and the finite-dimensional Frobenius manifolds on the orbit space of extended affine Weyl groups of type $A$ defined by Dubrovin and Zhang.
We introduce a structure of an infinite-dimensional Frobenius manifold on a subspace in the space of pairs of functions analytic inside/outside the unit circle with simple poles at 0/infinity respectively. The dispersionless 2D Toda equations are embedded into a bigger integrable hierarchy associated with this Frobenius manifold.
We prove results that, for a certain class of non-compact Calabi-Yau threefolds, relate the Frobenius action on their $p$-adic cohomology to the Frobenius action on the $p$-adic cohomology of the corresponding curves. In the appendix, we describe our interpretation of the Griffiths-Dwork method.
We construct some explicit quasihomogeneous algebraic solutions to the associativity (WDVV) equations by using analytical methods of the finite gap integration theory. These solutions are expanded in the uniform way to non-semisimple Frobenius manifolds.
We study regular non-semisimple Dubrovin-Frobenius manifolds in dimensions 2,3,4. We focus on the case where the Jordan canonical form of the operator of multiplication by the Euler vector field has a single Jordan block. Our results rely on the existence of special local coordinates introduced in [4] for regular flat F-manifolds with Euler vector field. In such coordinates the invariant metric of the Dubrovin-Frobenius manifold takes a special form which is the starting point of our construction.
We review the role played by tau functions of special type - called {\it Bergman} tau functions in various areas: theory of isomonodromic deformations, solutions of Einstein's equations, theory of Dubrovin-Frobenius manifolds, geometry of moduli spaces and spectral theory of Riemann surfaces. These tau functions are natural generalizations of Dedekind's eta-function to higher genus. Study of their properties allows to get an explicit form of Einstein's metrics, obtain new relations in Picard groups of various moduli spaces and derive holomorphic factorization formulas of determinants of Laplac…
We extend the classical topological Landau-Ginsburg model to a quaternion Landau-Ginsburg model, that satisfy the axioms of open-closed topological field theory. Later we prove, that a moduli space of quaternion Landau-Ginsburg models are non-commutative Frobenius manifold in means of [J. Geom. Phys, 51 (2003), 387-403].
