For a semisimple factorizable Hopf algebra over a field of characteristic zero, we show that the value that an integral takes on the inverse Drinfel'd element differs from the value that it takes on the Drinfel'd element itself at most by a fourth root of unity. This can be reformulated by saying that the central charge of the Hopf algebra is an integer. If the dimension of the Hopf algebra is odd, we show that these two values differ at most by a sign, which can be reformulated by saying that the central charge is even. We give a precise condition on the dimension that determines whether the plus sign or the minus sign occurs. To formulate our results, we use the language of modular data.
For a quasi-triangular Hopf algebra $\left( H,R\right) $, there is a notion of transmuted braided group $H_{R}$ of $H$ introduced by Majid. The transmuted braided group $H_{R}$ is a Hopf algebra in the braided category $_{H}\mathcal{M}$. The $R$-adjoint-stable algebra associated with any simple left $H_{R}$-comodule is defined by the authors, and is used to characterize the structure of all irreducible Yetter-Drinfeld modules in ${}_{H}^{H} \mathcal{YD}$. In this note, we prove for a semisimple factorizable Hopf algebra $ \left( H,R\right) $ that any simple subcoalgebra of $H_R$ is $H$-stable …
We examine actions of finite-dimensional pointed Hopf algebras on central simple division algebras in characteristic 0. (By a Hopf action we mean a Hopf module algebra structure.) In all examples considered, we show that the given Hopf algebra does admit a faithful action on a central simple division algebra, and we construct such a division algebra. This is in contrast to earlier work of Etingof and Walton, in which it was shown that most pointed Hopf algebras do not admit faithful actions on fields. We consider all bosonizations of Nichols algebras of finite Cartan type, small quantum groups…
We investigate a method of construction of central deformations of associative algebras, which we call centrification. We prove some general results in the case of Hopf algebras and provide several examples.
We provide a formula for commputing the discriminant of skew Calabi-Yau algebra over a central Calabi-Yau algebra. This method is applied to study the Jacobian and discriminant for reflection Hopf algebras.
We describe the split extension classifiers in the semi-abelian category of cocommutative Hopf algebras over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. The categorical notions of centralizer and of center in the category of cocommutative Hopf algebras is then explored. We show that the categorical notion of center coincides with the one that is considered in the theory of general Hopf algebras.
In this paper we explore minimum odd and minimum even depth sub algebra pairs in the context of double cross products of finite dimensional Hopf algebras. We start by defining factorization algebras and outline how subring depth in this context relates with the module depth of the regular left module representation of the given subalgebra. Next we study minimum odd depth for double cross product Hopf subalgebras and determine their value in terms of their related module depth, we conclude that minimum odd depth of Drinfeld double Hopf subalgebras is 3. Finaly we produce a necessary and suffici…
In this work we investigate partial actions of a Hopf algebra H on nonunital algebras and the associated partial smash products. We show that our partial actions correspond to nonunital algebras in the category of partial representations of H. The central problem of existence of a globalization for a partial action is studied in detail, and we provide sufficient conditions for the existence (and uniqueness) of a minimal globalization for associative algebras in general. Extending previous results by Abadie, Dokuchaev, Exel and Simon, we define Morita equivalence for partial Hopf actions, and w…
Let $(H,α)$ be a monoidal Hom-Hopf algebra and $^{H}_{H}\mathcal{HYD}$ the Hom-Yetter-Drinfeld category over $(H,α)$. Then in this paper, we first introduce the definition of braided Hom-Lie algebras and show that each monoidal Hom-algebra in $^{H}_{H}\mathcal{HYD}$ gives rise to a braided Hom-Lie algebra. Second, we prove that if $(A,β)$ is a sum of two $H$-commutative monoidal Hom-subalgebras, then the commutator Hom-ideal $[A,A]$ of $A$ is nilpotent. Also, we study the central invariant of braided Hom-Lie algebras as a generalization of generalized Lie algebras. Finally, we obtain a constru…
Lyon's rough paths give an algebraic and analytic framework for Stieltjes integrals in a regime of low regularity where the usual Riemann-Stieltjes integral does not converge. Before we may rigorously define rough paths, we start with the introduction of some basic algebraic terminology. Among them are algebras and coalgebras, two notions which are in some sense dual to each other. As a combination of these notions we obtain bialgebras, and as a special case of them then Hopf algebras, which play a central role in this thesis. After further algebraic preliminaries, we give the examples of Hopf…
