A Hom-type algebra is called involutive if its Hom map is multiplicative and involutive. In this paper, we obtain an explicit construction of the free involutive Hom-associative algebra on a Hom-module. We then apply this construction to obtain the universal enveloping algebra of an involutive Hom-Lie algebra. Finally we obtain a Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt theorem for the enveloping associative algebra of an involutive Hom-Lie algebra.
Rota-Baxter associative algebras and Rota-Baxter Lie algebras are both important in mathematics and mathematical physics, with the former a basic structure in quantum field renormalization and the latter a operator form of the classical Yang-Baxter equation. An outstanding problem posed by Gubarev is to determine whether there is a Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt theorem for the universal enveloping Rota-Baxter associative algebra of a Rota-Baxter Lie algebra. This paper resolves this problem positively, working with operated algebras and applying the method of Gröbner-Shirshov bases.
In this paper we introduce the notion of weak $Σ$-rigid ring which extends $α$-rigid rings and $Σ$-rigid rings defined for Ore extensions and skew PBW extensions, respectively. We also present the notion of weak $Σ$-skew Armendariz ring which extends that of $α$-skew Armendariz ring. In this way we generalize several results in the literature, from Ore extensions of injective type to the more general setting of skew PBW extensions.
Let H be a Hopf algebra and let B be a Koszul H-module algebra. We provide necessary and sufficient conditions for a filtered algebra to be a Poincare-Birkhoff-Witt (PBW) deformation of the smash product algebra B#H. Many examples of these deformations are given.
Poincare-Birkhoff-Witt Deformations of Calabi-Yau Algebras
In this paper we review some classical results on the algebraic dependence of commuting elements in several noncommutative algebras as differential operator rings and Ore extensions. Then we extend all these results to a more general setting, the family of noncommutative rings known as skew Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt extensions.
We prove that to every inclusion $A\hookrightarrow L$ of Lie algebroids over the same base manifold $M$ corresponds a Kapranov dg-manifold structure on $A[1]\oplus L/A$, which is canonical up to isomorphism. As a consequence, $Γ(Λ^\bullet A^\vee\otimes L/A)$ carries a canonical $L_\infty[1]$ algebra structure whose unary bracket is the Chevalley--Eilenberg differential corresponding to the Bott representation of $A$ on $L/A$ and whose binary bracket is a cocycle representative of the Atiyah class of the Lie pair $(L,A)$. To this end, we construct explicit isomorphisms of $C^\infty(M)$-coalgebr…
The construction of HNN-extensions of involutive Hom-associative algebras and involutive Hom-Lie algebras is described. Then, as an application of HNN-extension, by using the validity of Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt theorem for involutive Hom-Lie algebras, we provide an embedding theorem.
We give a Poincare-Birkhoff-Witt type basis for local Weyl modules of the current algebra of type $C$. As a consequence, we get a fermionic character formula for these modules.
We prove that the Yangian associated to an untwisted symmetric affine Kac-Moody Lie algebra is isomorphic to the Drinfeld double of a shuffle algebra. The latter is constructed by the authors in arXiv:1407.7994 as an algebraic formalism of the cohomological Hall algebras. As a consequence, we obtain the Poincare-Birkhoff-Witt (PBW) theorem for this class of affine Yangians. Another independent proof of the PBW theorem is given recently by Guay-Regelskis-Wendlandt.
A Hopf monoid (in Joyal's category of species) is an algebraic structure akin to that of a Hopf algebra. We provide a self-contained introduction to the theory of Hopf monoids in the category of species. Combinatorial structures which compose and decompose give rise to Hopf monoids. We study several examples of this nature. We emphasize the central role played in the theory by the Tits algebra of set compositions. Its product is tightly knit with the Hopf monoid axioms, and its elements constitute universal operations on connected Hopf monoids. We study analogues of the classical Eulerian and …
We construct an universal enveloping algebra associated to the ternary extension of Lie (super)algebras called Lie algebra of order three. A Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt theorem is proven is this context. It this then shown that this universal enveloping algebra can be endowed with a structure of Hopf algebra. The study of the dual of the universal enveloping algebra enables to define the parameters of the transformation of a Lie algebra of order three. It turns out that these variables are the variables which generate the three-exterior algebra.
Let $ \mathfrak{g} $ be an untwisted affine Kac-Moody algebra over the field $ K \, $, and let $ U_q(\mathfrak{g}) $ be the associated quantum enveloping algebra; let $ \mathfrak{U}_q(g) $ be the Lusztig's integer form of $ U_q(\mathfrak{g}) \, $, generated by $ q $-divided powers of Chevalley generators over a suitable subring $ R $ of $ K(q) \, $. We prove a Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt like theorem for $ \mathfrak{U}_q(\mathfrak{g}) \, $, yielding a basis over $ R $ made of ordered products of $ q $-divided powers of suitable quantum root vectors.
The twisted q-Yangians are coideal subalgebras of the quantum affine algebra associated with gl(N). We prove a classification theorem for finite-dimensional irreducible representations of the twisted q-Yangians associated with the symplectic Lie algebras sp(2n). The representations are parameterized by their highest weights or by their Drinfeld polynomials. In the simplest case of sp(2) we give an explicit description of all the representations as tensor products of evaluation modules. We prove analogues of the Poincare-Birkhoff-Witt theorem for the quantum affine algebra and for the twisted q…
