For simply-laced Kac-Moody algebras $\frak g$, Stembridge (2003) proposed a `local' axiomatization of crystal graphs of representations of $U_q(\frak g)$. In this paper we propose axioms for edge-2-colored graphs which characterize the crystals of integrable representations of $U_q(sp(4))$, regular crystal graphs of $B_2$-type. An edge-colored directed graph which obeys our Axioms (K0)--(K5) is called an R-{\em graph} (for brevity), and our main result is that the regular crystals of $B_2$-type are R-graphs and vice versa. We give a direct combinatorial construction for the crystals in question. On this way we introduce a new, so-called {\em crossing model}, which does not exploit Young tableaux. This combinatorial model consists of a two-component graph of a rather simple form and of a certain set of integer-valued functions on its vertices.
A regular $A_n$-crystal is an edge-colored directed graph, with $n$ colors, related to an irreducible highest weight integrable module over $U_q(sl_{n+1})$. Based on Stembridge's local axioms for regular simply-laced crystals and a structural characterization of regular $A_2$-crystals in \cite{DKK-07}, we present a new combinatorial construction, the so-called {\em crossing model}, and prove that this model generates precisely the set of regular $A_n$-crystals. Using the model, we obtain a series of results on the combinatorial structure of such crystals and properties of their subcrystals.
Stembridge characterized regular crystals associated with a simply-laced generalized Cartan matrix (GCM) in terms of local graph-theoretic quantities. We give a similar axiomatization for $B_2$ regular crystals and thus for regular crystals associated with a finite GCM except $G_2$ and an affine GCM except $A^{(1)}_{1},G^{(1)}_{2},A^{(2)}_{2},D^{(3)}_4$.
In this paper we give an alternate combinatorial description of the "$(\ell,0)$-JM partitions" (see \cite{F}) that are also $\ell$-regular. Our main theorem is the equivalence of our combinatoric and the one introduced by James and Mathas (\cite{JM}). The condition of being an $(\ell,0)$-JM partition is fundamentally related to the hook lengths of the partition. The representation-theoretic significance of their combinatoric on an $\ell$-regular partition is that it indicates the irreducibility of the corresponding specialized Specht module over the finite Hecke algebra (see \cite{JM}). We use…
We use the crystal isomorphisms of the Fock space to describe two maps on partitions and multipartitions which naturally appear in the crystal basis theory for quantum groups in affine type A and in the representation theory of Hecke algebras of type G(l, l, n).
We show that a connected regular $A_2$-crystal (the crystal graph of an irreducible representation of $sl_3$) can be produced from two half-grids by replicating them and glying together in a certain way. Also some extensions and related aspects are discussed.
We present a list of ``local'' axioms and an explicit combinatorial construction for the regular $B_2$-crystals (crystal graphs of highest weight integrable modules over $U_q(sp_4)$). Also a new combinatorial model for these crystals is developed.
We use Khovanov-Lauda-Rouquier algebras to categorify a crystal isomorphism between a highest weight crystal and the tensor product of a perfect crystal and another highest weight crystal, all in level 1 type A affine. The nodes of the perfect crystal correspond to a family of trivial modules and the nodes of the highest weight crystal correspond to simple modules, which we may also parameterize by $\ell$-restricted partitions. In the case $\ell$ is a prime, one can reinterpret all the results for the symmetric group in characteristic $\ell$. The crystal operators correspond to socle of restri…
We provide combinatorial models for all Kirillov--Reshetikhin crystals of nonexceptional type, which were recently shown to exist. For types D_n^(1), B_n^(1), A_{2n-1}^(2) we rely on a previous construction using the Dynkin diagram automorphism which interchanges nodes 0 and 1. For type C_n^(1) we use a Dynkin diagram folding and for types A_{2n}^(2), D_{n+1}^(2) a similarity construction. We also show that for types C_n^(1) and D_{n+1}^(2) the analog of the Dynkin diagram automorphism exists on the level of crystals.
Given a complex simple Lie algebra $\mathfrak g$ and a dominant weight $λ$, let $\mathcal B_λ$ be the crystal poset associated to the irreducible representation of $\mathfrak g$ with highest weight $λ$. In the first part of the article, we introduce the \emph{crystal pop-stack sorting operator} $\mathsf{Pop}_{\lozenge}\colon\mathcal B_λ\to\mathcal B_λ$, a noninvertible operator whose definition extends that of the pop-stack sorting map and the recently-introduced Coxeter pop-stack sorting operators. Every forward orbit of $\mathsf{Pop}_{\lozenge}$ contains the minimal element of $\mathcal B_λ$…
Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be a Lie algebra all of whose regular subalgebras of rank 2 are type $A_{1}\times A_{1}$, $A_{2}$, or $C_{2}$, and let $B$ be a crystal graph corresponding to a representation of $\mathfrak{g}$. We explicitly describe the local structure of $B$, confirming a conjecture of Stembridge.
We present a Robinson-Schensted-Knuth type one-to-one correspondence between the set of pictures and the set of pairs of Littlewood-Richardson crystals.
This is a continuation of [15, 16]. We shall show that for type D_n the realization of crystal bases obtained from the decorated geometric crystals in [2] coincides with the polyhedral realizations of crystal bases.
We review the polyhedral realizations of crystal bases in the former half and in the latter half, we introduce braid-type isomorphisms for some rank 2 finite type crystals. Using this isomorphisms, for semi-simple Lie algebra we can show that polyhedral realizations can be obtained in the lattice of finite rank which coincides with the length of the longest element in the associated Weyl group.
On the polytope defined in Feigin, Fourier, and Littelmann (2011), associated to any rectangle highest weight, we define a structure of an type $A_n$-crystal. We show, by using the Stembridge axioms, that this crystal is isomorphic to the one obtained from Kashiwara's crystal bases theory. Further we define on this polytope a bijective map and show that this map satisfies the properties of a weak promotion operator. This implies in particular that we provide an explicit realization of Kirillov-Reshetikhin crystals for the affine type $A^{(1)}_n$ via polytopes.
In order to see the behavior of $\imath$canonical bases at $q = \infty$, we introduce the notion of $\imath$crystals associated to an $\imath$quantum group of certain quasi-split type. The theory of $\imath$crystals clarifies why $\imath$canonical basis elements are not always preserved under natural homomorphisms. Also, we construct a projective system of $\imath$crystals whose projective limit can be thought of as the $\imath$canonical basis of the modified $\imath$quantum group at $q = \infty$.
We construct a type $A_{n-1}^{(1)}$ geometric crystal on the variety ${\rm Gr}(k,n) \times \mathbb{C}^\times$, and show that it tropicalizes to the disjoint union of the Kirillov-Reshetikhin crystals corresponding to rectangular tableaux with $n-k$ rows. A key ingredient in our construction is the $\mathbb{Z}/n\mathbb{Z}$ symmetry on the Grassmannian coming from cyclically shifting the basis of the underlying vector space. We show that a twisted version of this symmetry tropicalizes to combinatorial promotion. Additionally, we use the loop group ${\rm GL}_n(\mathbb{C}(λ))$ to define a unipoten…
We construct a Young wall model for higher level $A_2^{(2)}$-type adjoint crystals. The Young walls and reduced Young walls are defined in connection with affin energy function. We prove that the affine crystal consisiting of reduced Young walls provides a realization of highest weight crystals $B(λ)$ and $B(\infty)$.
The Ram-Yip formula for Macdonald polynomials (at t=0) provides a statistic which we call charge. In types A and C it can be defined on tensor products of Kashiwara-Nakashima single column crystals. In this paper we prove that the charge is equal to the (negative of the) energy function on affine crystals. The algorithm for computing charge is much simpler and can be more efficiently computed than the recursive definition of energy in terms of the combinatorial R-matrix.
We construct a combinatorial crystal structure on the Kirillov-Reshetikhin crystal $B^{7,s}$ in type $E_7^{(1)}$, where $7$ is the unique node in the orbit of $0$ in the affine Dynkin diagram. We then describe the combinatorial $R$-matrix $R \colon B^{7,s} \otimes B^{7,s'} \to B^{7,s'} \otimes B^{7,s}$.
In the previous paper "Symmetric Crystals and Affine Hecke Algebras of Type B", we formulated a conjecture on the relations between certain classes of irreducible representations of affine Hecke algebras of type B and symmetric crystals for $\gl_\infty$. In the first half of this paper (sections 2 and 3), we give a survey of the LLTA type theorem of the affine Hecke algebra of type $A$. In the latter half (sections 4, 5 and 6), we review the construction of the symmetric crystals and the LLTA type conjectures for the affine Hecke algebra of type $B$.
Let $B(Λ_0)$ be the level 1 highest weight crystal of the quantum affine algebra $U_q(A_n^{(1)})$. We construct an explicit crystal isomorphism between the geometric realization $\mathbb{B}(Λ_0)$ of $B(Λ_0)$ via quiver varieties and the path realization ${\mathcal P}^{\rm ad}(Λ_0)$ of $B(Λ_0)$ arising from the adjoint crystal $\adjoint$.
In this paper we prove that every Kirillov-Reshetikhin module of type $G_2^{(1)}$ and $D_4^{(3)}$ has a crystal pseudobase (crystal base modulo signs), by applying the criterion for the existence of a crystal pseudobase due to Kang et al.
For symmetric Kashiwara crystals of type $A$ and rank $e=2$, and for the canonical basis elements that we call external, corresponding to weights on the outer skin of the Kashiwara crystal, we construct the canonical basis elements in a non-recursive manner. In particular, for a symmetric crystal with $Λ=a Λ_0+a Λ_1$, we give formulae for the canonical basis elements for all the $e$-regular multipartitions with defects either $k(a-k)$ or $k(a-k)+2a$, for $0 \leq k \leq a$.
We shall realize certain affine geometric crystal of type $G^{(1)}_2$ explicitly in the fundamental representation $W(\varpi_1)$. Its explicit form is rather complicated but still keeps a positive structure.
We shall realize certain affine geometric crystal of type $D_4^{(3)}$ associated with the fundamental representation $W(π_1)$ explicitly . By its explicit form, we see that it has a positive structure.
We propose to generalize Benkart-Frenkel-Kang-Lee's adjoint crystals and describe their crystal structure for type $A\sb{n}\sp{(1)}$, $C\sb{n}\sp{(1)}$ and $D\sb{n+1}\sp{(2)}$.
Let $B(Λ)$ be a level $\ell$ highest weight crystal of the quantum affine algebra $U_q(A_n^{(1)})$. We construct an explicit crystal isomorphism between the geometric realization $\gB(Λ)$ of the crystal $B(Λ)$ using quiver varieties and the path realization $\mathcal{P}^{\rm ad}(Λ)$ arising from the adjoint crystal $\Bad{\ell}$ of level $\ell$.
Using the methods of Kang et al. and recent results on the characters of Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules by Nakajima and Hernandez, the existence of Kirillov-Reshetikhin crystals B^{r,s} is established for all nonexceptional affine types. We also prove that the crystals B^{r,s} of type B_n^{(1)}, D_n^{(1)}, and A_{2n-1}^{(2)} are isomorphic to recently constructed combinatorial crystals for r not a spin node.
In this paper, we study basic properties of global $\jmath$-crystal bases for integrable modules over a quantum symmetric pair coideal subalgebra $\mathbf{U}^{\jmath}$ associated to the Satake diagram of type AIII with even white nodes and no black nodes. Also, we obtain an intrinsic characterization of the $\jmath$-crystal bases, whose original definition is artificial.
We show that a crystal base exists for any Kirillov-Reshetikhin module of type $D_n^{(1)}$, generalizing the result of [(KMN)^2] for the end nodes of the Dynkin diagram of $D_n$.
A Lie theoretic interpretation is given to a pattern with five-fold symmetry occurring in aperiodic Penrose tiling based on isosceles triangles with length ratios equal to the Golden Section. Specifically a $B(\infty)$ crystal based on that of Kashiwara is constructed exhibiting this five-fold symmetry. It is shown that it can be represented as a Kashiwara $B(\infty)$ crystal in type $A_4$. Similar crystals with $(2n+1)$-fold symmetry are represented as Kashiwara crystals in type $A_{2n}$. The weight diagrams of the latter inspire higher aperiodic tiling. In another approach alcove packing is …
We introduce an epsilon system on a geometric crystal of type $A_n$, which is a certain set of rational functions with some nice properties. We shall show that it is equipped with a product structure and that it is invariant under the action of tropical R maps.
We describe the crystal bases of modified quantum algebras and its connected component containing ``zero vector''by the polyhedral realization method for the types A_n and A^(1)_1. We also present the explicit form of the unique highest weight vector in the connected component.
Polyhedral realization of crystal bases is one of the methods for describing the crystal base $B(\infty)$ explicitly. This method can be applied to symmetrizable Kac-Moody types. We can also apply this method to the crystal bases $B(λ)$ of integrable highest weight modules and of modified quantum algebras. But, the explicit forms of the polyhedral realizations of crystal bases $B(\infty)$ and $B(λ)$ are only given in the case of arbitrary rank 2, of $A_n$ and of $A^{(1)}_n$. So, we will give the polyhedral realizations of crystal bases $B(\infty)$ and $B(λ)$ for all simple Lie algebras in this…
We are interested in the structure of the crystal graph of level $l$ Fock spaces representations of $\mathcal{U}_q (\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}_e})$. Since the work of Shan [26], we know that this graph encodes the modular branching rule for a corresponding cyclotomic rational Cherednik algebra. Besides, it appears to be closely related to the Harish-Chandra branching graph for the appropriate finite unitary group, according to [8]. In this paper, we make explicit a particular isomorphism between connected components of the crystal graphs of Fock spaces. This so-called "canonical" crystal isomorphi…
A previous work gave a combinatorial description of the crystal $B(\infty)$, in terms of certain simple Young tableaux referred to as the marginally large tableaux, for finite dimensional simple Lie algebras. Using this result, we present an explicit description of the crystal $B(λ)$, in terms of the marginally large tableaux, for the $G_2$ Lie algebra type. We also provide a new description of $B(\la)$, in terms of Nakajima monomials, that is in natural correspondence with our tableau description.
In the current paper, we give a quiver theoretical interpretation of Mirković-Vilonen polytopes in type $A_n$. As a by-product, we give a new proof of the Anderson-Mirković conjecture which describes the explicit forms of the actions of lowering Kashiwara operators on the set of Mirković-Vilonen polytopes.
The Lascoux-Leclerc-Thibon-Ariki theory asserts that the K-group of the representations of the affine Hecke algebras of type A is isomorphic to the algebra of functions on the maximal unipotent subgroup of the group associated with a Lie algebra $g$ where $g$ is $gl_\infty$ or the affine Lie algebra $A^{(1)}_\ell$, and the irreducible representations correspond to the upper global bases. Recently, N. Enomoto and the first author presented the notion of symmetric crystals and formulated analogous conjectures for the affine Hecke algebras of type B. In this note, we present similar conjectures f…
Using Lakshmibai-Seshadri paths, we give a combinatorial realization of the crystal basis of an extremal weight module of integral extremal weight over the quantized universal enveloping algebra associated to the infinite rank affine Lie algebra of type $B_{\infty}$, $C_{\infty}$, or $D_{\infty}$. Moreover, via this realization, we obtain an explicit description (in terms of Littlewood-Richardson coefficients) of how tensor products of these crystal bases decompose into connected components when their extremal weights are of nonnegative levels. These results, in types $B_{\infty}$, $C_{\infty}…
As shown by Stembridge, crystal graphs can be characterized by their local behavior. In this paper, we observe that a certain local property on highest weight crystals forces a more global property. In type $A$, this statement says that if a node has a single parent and single grandparent, then there is a unique walk from the highest weight node to it. In other classical types, there is a similar (but necessarily more technical) statement. This walk is obtained from the associated level 1 perfect crystal, $B^{1,1}$. (It is unique unless the Dynkin diagram contains that of $D_4$ as a subdiagram…
Kashiwara and Saito have a geometric construction of the infinity crystal for any symmetric Kac-Moody algebra. The underlying set consists of the irreducible components of Lusztig's quiver varieties, which are varieties of nilpotent representations of a pre-projective algebra. We generalize this to symmetrizable Kac-Moody algebras by replacing Lusztig's preprojective algebra with a more general one due to Dlab and Ringel. In non-symmetric types we are forced to work over non-algebraically-closed fields.
For a classical group $G$ and a Coxeter element $c$ of the Weyl group, it is known that the coordinate ring $\mathbb{C}[G^{e,c^2}]$ of the double Bruhat cell $G^{e,c^2}:=B\cap B_-c^2B_-$ has a structure of cluster algebra of finite type, where $B$ and $B_-$ are opposite Borel subgroups. In this article, we consider the case $G$ is of type ${\rm B}_r$, ${\rm C}_r$ or ${\rm D}_r$ and describe all the cluster variables in $\mathbb{C}[G^{e,c^2}]$ as monomial realizations of certain Demazure crystals.
We calculate the image of the combinatorial R-matrix for any classical highest weight element in the tensor product of Kirillov--Reshetikhin crystals $B^{r,k}\otimes B^{1,l}$ of type $D^{(1)}_n, B^{(1)}_n, A^{(2)}_{2n-1}$. The notion of $\pm$-diagrams is effectively used for the identification of classical highest weight elements in $B^{1,l}\otimes B^{r,k}$.
Brundan and Kleshchev showed that some parts of the representation theory of the affine Hecke-Clifford superalgebras and its finite-dimensional "cyclotomic" quotients are controlled by the Lie theory of type $A^{(2)}_{2l}$ when the quantum parameter $q$ is a primitive $(2l+1)$-th root of unity. We show in this paper that similar theorems hold when $q$ is a primitive $4l$-th root of unity by replacing the Lie theory of type $A^{(2)}_{2l}$ with that of type $D^{(2)}_{l}$.
