A natural one-parameter family of Kähler quantizations of the cotangent bundle $T^*K$ of a compact Lie group $K$, taking into account the half-form correction, was studied in \cite{FMMN}. In the present paper, it is shown that the associated Blattner-Kostant-Sternberg (BKS) pairing map is unitary and coincides with the parallel transport of the quantum connection introduced in our previous work, from the point of view of \cite{AdPW}. The BKS pairing map is a composition of (unitary) coherent state transforms of $K$, introduced in \cite{Ha1}. Continuity of the Hermitian structure on the quantum bundle, in the limit when one of the Kähler polarizations degenerates to the vertical real polarization, leads to the unitarity of the corresponding BKS pairing map. This is in agreement with the unitarity up to scaling (with respect to a rescaled inner product) of this pairing map, established by Hall.
We study the conditions under which a Kählerian structure $(G,J)$ of general natural lift type on the cotangent bundle $T^*M$ of a Riemannian manifold $(M,g)$ has constant holomorphic sectional curvature. We obtain that a certain parameter involved in the condition for $(T^*M,G,J)$ to be a Kählerian manifold, is expressed as a rational function of the other two, their derivatives, the constant sectional curvature of the base manifold $(M,g)$, and the constant holomorphic sectional curvature of the general natural Kählerian structure $(G,J)$.
We study the conditions under which the cotangent bundle $T^*M$ of a Riemaannian manifold $(M,g)$, endowed with a Kählerian structure $(G,J)$ of general natural lift type (see \cite{Druta1}), is Einstein. We first obtain a general natural Kähler-Einstein structure on the cotangent bundle $T^*M$. In this case, a certain parameter, $λ$ involved in the condition for $(T^*M,G,J)$ to be a Kählerian manifold, is expressed as a rational function of the other two, the value of the constant sectional curvature, $c$, of the base manifold $(M,g)$ and the constant $ρ$ involved in the condition for the str…
We study the conditions under which an almost Hermitian structure $(G,J)$ of general natural lift type on the cotangent bundle $T^*M$ of a Riemannian manifold $(M,g)$ is K\" ahlerian. First, we obtain the algebraic conditions under which the manifold $(T^*M,G,J)$ is almost Hermitian. Next we get the integrability conditions for the almost complex structure $J$, then the conditions under which the associated 2-form is closed. The manifold $(T^*M,G,J)$ is K\" ahlerian iff it is almost Kahlerian and the almost complex structure $J$ is integrable. It follows that the family of Kahlerian structures…
We study the dependence of geometric quantization of the standard symplectic torus on the choice of invariant polarization. Real and mixed polarizations are interpreted as degenerate complex structures. Using a weak version of the equations of covariant constancy, and the Weil-Brezin expansion to describe distributional sections, we give a unified analytical description of the quantization spaces for all nonnegative polarizations. The Blattner-Kostant-Sternberg (BKS) pairing maps between half-form corrected quantization spaces for different polarizations are shown to be transitive and related …
In this paper we study the geometry of the total space $Y$ of a cotangent bundle to a Kähler manifold $N$ where $N$ is obtained as a Kähler reduction from $\mathbb C^n$. Using the hyperkähler reduction we construct a hyperkähler metric on $Y$ and prove that it coincides with the canonical Feix-Kaledin metric. This metric is in general non-complete. We show that the metric completion $\tilde Y$ of the space $Y$ is equipped with a structure of a stratified hyperkähler space. We give a necessary condition for the Feix-Kaledin metric to be complete using an observation of R.Bielawski. Pick a compl…
We study prolongation of Norden structures on manifolds to their generalized tangent bundles and to their cotangent bundles. In particular, by using methods of generalized geometry, we prove that the cotangent bundle of a complex Norden manifold $(M,J,g)$ admits a structure of Norden manifold, $(T^{\star}(M),\tilde J, \tilde g)$. Moreover if $(M,J,g)$ has flat natural canonical connection then $\tilde J$ is integrable, that is $(T^{\star}(M),\tilde J, \tilde g)$ is a complex Norden manifold. Finally we prove that if $(M,J,g)$ is Kähler Norden flat then $(T^{\star}(M),\tilde J, \tilde g)$ is Kä…
Let $(M,g)$ be an n-dimensional Riemannian manifold and $T^{*}M$ be its cotangent bundle equipped with a Riemannian metric of Cheeger Gromoll type which rescale the horizontal part by a nonzero differentiable function. The main purpose of the present paper is to discuss curvature properties of $T^{*}M$ and construct almost paracomplex Norden structures on $T^{*}M$. We investigate conditions for these structures to be para-Kähler (paraholomorphic) and quasi-Kähler. Also, some properties of almost paracomplex Norden structures in context of almost product Riemannian manifolds are presented.
In this paper, we study the analytic continuation to complex time of the Hamiltonian flow of certain $G\times T$-invariant functions on the cotangent bundle of a compact connected Lie group $G$ with maximal torus $T$. Namely, we will take the Hamiltonian flows of one $G\times G$-invariant function, $h$, and one $G\times T$-invariant function, $f$. Acting with these complex time Hamiltonian flows on $G\times G$-invariant Kähler structures gives new $G\times T$-invariant, but not $G\times G$-invariant, Kähler structures on $T^*G$. We study the Hilbert spaces ${\mathcal H}_{τ,σ}$ corresponding to…
We obtain the natural diagonal almost product and locally product structures on the total space of the cotangent bundle of a Riemannian manifold. We find the Riemannian almost product (locally product) and the (almost) para-Hermitian cotangent bundles of natural diagonal lift type. We prove the characterization theorem for the natural diagonal (almost) para-Kählerian structures on the total spaces of the cotangent bundle.
Let X be a Kahler manifold that is presented as a Kahler quotient of C^n by the linear action of a compact group G. We define the hyperkahler analogue M of X as a hyperkahler quotient of the cotangent bundle T^*C^n by the induced G-action. Special instances of this construction include hypertoric varieties and quiver varieties. Our aim is to provide a unified treatment of these two previously studied examples, with specific attention to the geometry and topology of the circle action on M that descends from the scalar action on the fibers of the cotangent bundle. We provide a detailed study of …
Given a special Kahler manifold M, we give a new, direct proof of the relationship between the quaternionic structure on its cotangent bundle and the variation of Hodge structures on the complexification of TM.
This paper deals with complex structures on Lie algebras $\ct_π \hh=\hh \ltimes_π V$, where $π$ is either the adjoint or the coadjoint representation. The main topic is the existence question of complex structures on $\ct_π \hh$ for $\hh$ a three dimensional real Lie algebra. First it was proposed the study of complex structures $J$ satisfying the constrain $J\hh=V$. Whenever $π$ is the adjoint representation this kind of complex structures are associated to non singular derivations of $\hh$. This fact derives different kind of applications. Finally an approach to the pseudo Kähler geometry wa…
We construct N=2 supersymmetric nonlinear sigma models whose target spaces are tangent as well as cotangent bundles over the quadric surface Q^{n-2} = SO(n)/[SO(n-2)\times U(1)]. We use the projective superspace framework, which is an off-shell formalism of N=2 supersymmetry.
Let $G/K$ be an irreducible Hermitian symmetric spaces of compact type with the standard homogeneous complex structure. Then the real symplectic manifold $(T^*(G/K),Ω)$ has the natural complex structure $J^-$. We construct all $G$-invariant Kähler structures $(J,Ω)$ on homogeneous domains in $T^*(G/K)$ anticommuting with $J^-$. Each such a hypercomplex structure, together with a suitable metric, defines a hyperkähler structure. As an application, we obtain a new proof of the Harish-Chandra and Moore theorem.
In [SW2], we defined a generalized mean curvature vector field on any almost Lagrangian submanifold with respect to a torsion connection on an almost Kähler manifold. The short time existence of the corresponding parabolic flow was established. In addition, it was shown that the flow preserves the Lagrangian condition as long as the connection satisfies an Einstein condition. In this article, we show that the canonical connection on the cotangent bundle of any Riemannian manifold is an Einstein connection (in fact, Ricci flat). The generalized mean curvature vector on any Lagrangian submanifol…
We construct left invariant special Kähler structures on the cotangent bundle of a flat pseudo-Riemannian Lie group. We introduce the twisted cartesian product of two special Kähler Lie algebras according to two linear representations by infinitesimal Kähler transformations. We also exhibit a double extension process of a special Kähler Lie algebra which allows us to get all simply connected special Kähler Lie groups with bi-invariant symplectic connections. All Lie groups constructed by performing this double extension process can be identified with a subgroup of symplectic (or Kähler) affine…
The main focus of the paper is the investigation of moduli space of left invariant pseudoRiemannian metrics on the cotangent bundle of Heisenberg group. Consideration of orbits of the automorphism group naturally acting on the space of the left invariant metrics allows us to use the algebraic approach. However, the geometrical tools, such as classification of hyperbolic plane conics, will often be required. For metrics that we obtain in the classification, we investigate geometrical properties: curvature, Ricci tensor, sectional curvature, holonomy and parallel vector fields. The classificatio…
We prove that one can obtain natural bundles of Lie algebras on rank two s-Kähler manifolds, whose fibres are isomorphic to so(s+1,s+1), su(s+1,s+1) and sl(2s + 2,\R). In the most rigid case (which includes complex tori and abelian varieties) these bundles have natural flat connections, whose flat global sections act naturally on cohomology. We also present several natural examples of manifolds which can be equipped with an s-Kähler structure with various levels of rigidity: complex tori and abelian varieties, cotangent bundles of smooth manifolds and moduli of pointed elliptic curves.
Lie groups of automorphisms of cotangent bundles of Lie groups are completely characterized and interesting results are obtained. We give prominence to the fact that the Lie groups of automorphisms of cotangent bundles of Lie groups are super symmetric Lie groups. In the cases of orthogonal Lie lgebras, semi-simple Lie algebras and compact Lie algebras we recover by simple methods interesting co-homological known results. The Lie algebra of prederivations encompasses the one of derivations as a subalgebra. We find out that Lie algebras of cotangent Lie groups (which are not semi-simple) of sem…
We give a method to construct Calabi-Yau metrics on G-invariant vector bundles over Kahler coset spaces G/H using supersymmetric nonlinear realizations with matter coupling. As a concrete example we discuss the CP^N model coupled with matter. The canonical line bundle is reproduced by the singlet matter and the cotangent bundle with a new non-compact Calabi-Yau metric which is not hyper-Kahler is obtained by the anti-fundamental matter.
It is a classical fact that the cotangent bundle $T^* \M$ of a differentiable manifold $\M$ enjoys a canonical symplectic form $Ω^*$. If $(\M,\j,g,ω)$ is a pseudo-Kähler or para-Kähler $2n$-dimensional manifold, we prove that the tangent bundle $T\M$ also enjoys a natural pseudo-Kähler or para-Kähler structure $(\J,\G,Ω)$, where $Ω$ is the pull-back by $g$ of $Ω^*$ and $\G$ is a pseudo-Riemannian metric with neutral signature $(2n,2n)$. We investigate the curvature properties of the pair $(\J,\G)$ and prove that: $\G$ is scalar-flat, is not Einstein unless $g$ is flat, has nonpositive (resp.\ …
Our purpose is to show the existence of a Calabi-Yau structure on the punctured cotangent bundle $T^{*}_{0}(P^2\mathbb{O})$ of the Cayley projective plane $P^{2}\mathbb{O}$ and to construct a Bargmann type transformation from a space of holomorphic functions on $T^{*}_{0}(P^2\mathbb{O})$ to $L_{2}$-space on $P^{2}\mathbb{O}$. The space of holomorphic functions corresponds to the Fock space in the case of the original Bargmann transformation. A Kähler structure on $T^{*}_{0}(P^{2}\mathbb{O})$ was shown by identifying it with a quadrics in the complex space $\mathbb{C}^{27}\backslash\{0\}$ and t…
For a holomorphic vector bundle $E$ over a Hermitian manifold $M$ there are two important notions of curvature positivity, the Griffiths positivity and Nakano positivity. We study the consequence of these positivities and the relevant estimates. If $E$ is Griffiths negative over Kähler manifold, then there is a Kähler metric on its total space $E$, and we calculate the curvature and prove the non-positivity of the curvature along the tautological direction. The Nakano positivity can be formulated as a positivity for the Nakano curvature operator and we give estimate the Nakano curvature operat…
There is a known hyperkähler structure on any complexified Hermitian symmetric space $G/K$, whose construction relies on identifying $G/K$ with both a (co)adjoint orbit and the cotangent bundle to the compact Hermitian symmetric space $G_u/K_0$. Via a family of explicit diffeomorphisms, we show that almost all of the complex structures are equivalent to the one on $G/K$; via a family of related diffeomorphisms, we show that almost all of the symplectic structures are equivalent to the one on $T^*\left(G_u/K_0\right)$. We highlight the intermediate Kähler structures, which share a holomorphic a…
In this paper we propose and investigate in full generality new notions of (continuous, non-isometric) symmetry on hyperkähler spaces. These can be grouped into two categories, corresponding to the two basic types of continuous hyperkähler isometries which they deform: tri-Hamiltonian isometries, on one hand, and rotational isometries, on the other. The first category of deformations gives rise to Killing spinors and generate what are known as hidden hyperkähler symmetries. The second category gives rise to hyperholomorphic line bundles over the hyperkähler manifolds on which they are defined …
