Let $g$ be a finite dimensional real Lie algebra. Let $r:g\to End(V)$ be a representation of $g$ in a finite dimensional real vector space. Let $C_{V}=(End(V)\tens S(g))^{g}$ be the algebra of $End(V)$-valued invariant differential operators with constant coefficients on $g$. Let $U$ be an open subset of $g$.
We consider the problem of determining the space of generalized functions $ϕ$ on $U$ with values in $V$ which are locally invariant and such that $C_{V}ϕ$ is finite dimensional.
In this article we consider the case $g=sl(2,R)$. Let $N$ be the nilpotent cone of $sl(2,R)$. We prove that when $U$ is $SL(2,R)$-invariant, then $ϕ$ is determined by its restriction to $U\setminus N$ where $ϕ$ is analytic. In general this is false when $U$ is not $SL(2,R)$-invariant and $V$ is not trivial. Moreover, when $V$ is not trivial, $ϕ$ is not always locally $L^{1}$. Thus, this case is different and more complicated than the situation considered by Harish-Chandra where $g$ is reductive and $V$ is trivial.
To solve this problem we find all the locally invariant generalized functions supported in the nilpotent cone $N$. We do this locally in a neighborhood of a nilpotent element $Z$ of $g$ and on an $SL(2,R)$-invariant open subset $U\subset sl(2,R)$. Finally, we also give an application of our main theorem to the Superpfaffian.
For the algebra L= K <x, d/dx, \int> of polynomial integro-differential operators over a field K of characteristic zero, a classification of indecomposable, generalized weight L-modules of finite length is given. Each such module is an infinite dimensional uniserial module. Ext-groups are found between indecomposable generalized weight modules, it is proven that they are finite dimensional vector spaces.
For the algebra $I_n$ of polynomial integro-differential operators over a field $K$ of characteristic zero, a classification of simple weight and generalized weight (left and right) $I_n$-modules is given. It is proven that the category of weight $I_n$-modules is semisimple. An explicit description of generalized weight $I_n$-modules is given and using it a criterion is obtained for the problem of classification of indecomposable generalized weight $I_n$-modules to be of finite representation type, tame or wild. In the tame case, a classification of indecomposable generalized weight $I_n$-modu…
Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be a classial Lie algebra and $\mathfrak{p}$ be a maximal parabolic subalgebra. Let $M$ be a generalized Verma module induced from a one dimensional representation of $\mathfrak{p}$. Such $M$ is called a scalar type generalized Verma module. Its simple quotient $L$ is a highest weight moudle. In this paper, we will determine the reducibility of such scalar type generalized Verma modules by computing the Gelfand-Kirillov dimension of $L$.
We develop a general technique of constructing new irreducible weight modules for any affine Kac-Moody algebra using the parabolic induction, in the case when the Levi factor of a parabolic subalgebra is infinite-dimensional and the central charge is nonzero. Our approach uniforms and generalizes all previously known results with imposed restrictions on inducing modules. We also define generalized Imaginary Wakimoto modules which provide an explicit realization for generic generalized Imaginary Verma modules.
The main purpose of the paper is to establish new tools in the study of $\mathcal{O}^\mathfrak{p}$. We introduce the Jantzen coefficients of generalized Verma modules. It comes from the Jantzen's simplicity criteria for generalized Verma modules and has a deep relation with the structure of $\mathcal{O}^\mathfrak{p}$. We develop a reduction process to compute those coefficients. For which we need to consider generalized Verma modules induced from maximal parabolic subalgebras having maximal nontrivial singularity, so called basic generalized Verma modules. The classification of such modules is…
This paper is primarily concerned with generalized reduced Verma modules over $\mathbb{Z}$-graded modular Lie superalgebras. Some properties of the generalized reduced Verma modules and the coinduced modules are obtained. Moreover, the invariant forms on the generalized reduced Verma modules are considered. In particular, we prove that the generalized reduced Verma module is isomorphic to the mixed product for modules of $\mathbb{Z}$-graded modular Lie superalgebras of Cartan type.
Generalized \dK modules are introduced to solve an open problem: the odd Ext-module $\Eod(M)$ of a \dK module $M$ over a $d$-Koszul algebra $\m$ is a \K module over the even Yoneda algebra $\Eev(\m)$.
In this paper we give a sum formula for the radical filtration of generalized Verma modules in any (possibly singular) blocks of parabolic BGG category which can be viewed as a generalization of Jantzen sum formula for Verma modules in the usual BGG category $\mathcal{O}$. Combined with Jantzen coefficients, we determine the radical filtrations for all basic generalized Verma modules. The proof makes use of the graded version of parabolic BGG category. Explicit formulae for the graded decomposition numbers and inverse graded decomposition numbers of generalized Verma modules in any (possibly s…
In this paper we study a generalization of the Jacquet module of a parabolic induction and construct a filtration on it. The successive quotient of the filtration is written by using the twisting functor.
In this paper we show that a conjecture of Stephen Yau on highest weights of invariant Jacobians is true for arbitrary connected semisimple algebraic groups.
We prove a general existence result for infinite-dimensional admissible (g;k)-modules, where g is a reductive finite-dimensional complex Lie algebra and k is a reductive in g algebraic subalgebra.
Let $\mathfrak g(G,λ)$ denote the deformed generalized Heisenberg-Virasoro algebra related to a complex parameter $λ\neq-1$ and an additive subgroup $G$ of $\mathbb C$. For a total order on $G$ that is compatible with addition, a Verma module over $\mathfrak g(G,λ)$ is defined. In this paper, we completely determine the irreducibility of these Verma modules.
In this paper we address the problem of classification of simple weight modules over weak generalized Weyl algebras of rank one. The principal difference between weak generalized Weyl algebras and generalized weight algebras is that weak generalized Weyl algebras are defined using an endomorphism rather than an automorphism of a commutative ring $R$. We reduce classification of simple weight modules over weak generalized Weyl algebras to description of the dynamics of the action of the above mentioned endomorphism on the set of maximal ideals. We also describe applications of our results to th…
Let $g$ be a finite-dimensional simple Lie algebra over the complex number field. We classify the homomorphisms between $g$-modules induced from one-dimensional modules of maximal parabolic subalgebras.
In this article, we prove that induced modules of support $τ$-tilting modules over blocks of finite groups satisfying inertial-invariant condition are also support $τ$-tilting modules.
The character formula of any finite dimensional irreducible module for Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{osp}(3|2m)$ is obtained in terms of characters of generalized Verma modules.
Let $U_q(\g)$ be a quantum generalized Kac-Moody algebra and let $V(Λ)$ be the integrable highest weight $U_q(\g)$-module with highest weight $Λ$. We prove that the cyclotomic Khovanov-Lauda-Rouquier algebra $R^Λ$ provides a categorification of $V(Λ)$.
This paper presents categorifications of (right) cell modules and induced cell modules for Hecke algebras of finite Weyl groups. In type $A$ we show that these categorifications depend only on the isomorphism class of the cell module, not on the cell itself. Our main application is multiplicity formulas for parabolically induced modules over a reductive Lie algebra of type $A$, which finally determines the so-called rough structure of generalized Verma modules. On the way we present several categorification results and give the positive answer to Kostant's problem from \cite{Jo} in many cases.…
In this paper we face the study of the representations of the exceptional Lie superalgebra E(5,10). We recall the construction of generalized Verma modules and give a combinatorial description of the restriction to sl_5 of the Verma module induced by the trivial representation. We use this description to classify morphisms between Verma modules of degree one, two and three proving in these cases a conjecture given by Rudakov. A key tool is the notion of dual morphism between Verma modules.
We study the homomorphisms between scalar generalized Verma modules. We conjecture that any homomorphism between is composition of elementary homomorphisms. The purpose of this article is to show the conjecture is affirmative for many parabolic subalgebras under the assumption that the infinitesimal characters are regular.
We characterize the generalized Auslander--Reiten duality on the category of finitely presented modules over some certain Hom-finite category. Examples include the category FI of finite sets with injections, and the one VI of finite dimensional vector spaces with linear injections over a finite field.
We modify the definition of Dirac cohomology in such a way that the standard properties of the usual Dirac cohomology, valid for modules with infinitesimal character, become valid also for modules with only generalized infinitesimal character.
A class of generalized Verma modules over $\fr{sl}_{n+2}$ is constructed from $\fr{sl}_{n+1}$-modules which are $\uhn$-free modules of rank $1$. The necessary and sufficient conditions for these $\fr{sl}_{n+2}$-modules to be simple are determined. This leads to a class of new simple $\fr{sl}_{n+2}$-modules.
We give a complete description of finite dimensional selfinjective algebras over an algebraically closed field whose Auslander-Reiten quiver admits a generalized standard family of quasi-tubes maximally saturated by simple and projective modules. In particular, we show that these algebras are selfinjective algebras of strictly canonical type.
Invariants with respect to recollements of the stable category of Gorenstein projective A-modules over an algebra A and stable equivalences are investigated. Specifically, the Gorenstein rigidity dimension is introduced. It is shown that the Gorenstein rigidity dimension is invariant with respect to both Morita equivalences and the stable equivalences of Gorenstein projective modules. As a consequence, the Gorenstein rigidity dimension is shown the invariant of derived equivalences. The Gorenstein rigidity dimension is compared along the recollements of the stable category of Gorenstein projec…
For coprime dimension vectors certain torus fixed points of the Kronecker moduli space are indecomposable tree modules. They are indecomposable representations of the regular m-tree and can be glued in order to get stable torus fixed point for every coprime dimension vector. Using their stability and the reflection functor we show that for arbitrary roots there exist indecomposable tree modules of the Kronecker quiver as factor modules of these torus fixed points.
It is shown by Barchini, Kable, and Zierau that conformally invariant systems of differential operators yield explicit homomorphisms between certain generalized Verma modules. In this paper we determine whether or not the homomorphisms arising from such systems of first and second order differential operators associated to maximal parabolic subalgebras of quasi-Heisenberg type are standard.
We shall give a uniform expression and a uniform calculation for the b-functions of prehomogeneous vector spaces of commutative parabolic type, which were previously calculated by case-by-case analysis. Our method is a generalization of Kashiwara's approach using the universal Verma modules. We shall also give a new proof for the criterion of the irreducibility of the generalized Verma module in terms of b-functions due to Suga, Gyoja, Wachi.
We introduce the notion of generalized Weyl modules for twisted current algebras. We study their representation-theoretic and combinatorial properties and connection to the theory of nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomials. As an application we compute the dimension of the classical Weyl modules in the remaining unknown case.
For a symmetrizable GCM $C$ and its symmetrizer $D$, Geiss-Leclerc-Schröer [Invent. Math. 209 (2017)] has introduced a generalized preprojective algebra $Π$ associated to $C$ and $D$, that contains a class of modules, called locally free modules. We show that any basic support $τ$-tilting $Π$-module is locally free and gives a classification theorem of torsion-free classes in $\operatorname{\mathbf{rep}}Π$ as the generalization of the work of Mizuno [Math. Z. 277 (2014)].
We study a relationship between the graded characters of generalized Weyl modules $W_{w λ}$, $w \in W$, over the positive part of the affine Lie algebra and those of specific quotients $V_{w}^- (λ) / X_{w}^- (λ)$, $w \in W$, of the Demazure submodules $V_{w}^- (λ)$ of the extremal weight modules $V(λ)$ over the quantum affine algebra, where $W$ is the finite Weyl group and $λ$ is a dominant weight. More precisely, we prove that a specific quotient of the Demazure submodule is a quantum analog of a generalized Weyl module.
Let $\frak g$ be a reductive Lie algebra over $\bold C$. We say that a $\frak g$-module $M$ is a generalized Harish-Chandra module if, for some subalgebra $\frak k \subset\frak g$, $M$ is locally $\frak k$-finite and has finite $\frak k$-multiplicities. We believe that the problem of classifying all irreducible generalized Harish-Chandra modules could be tractable. In this paper, we review the recent success with the case when $\frak k$ is a Cartan subalgebra. We also review the recent determination of which reductive in $\frak g$ subalgebras $\frak k$ are essential to a classification. Finall…
In a recent paper, Dave Benson and Peter Symonds defined a new invariant $γ_G(M)$ for a finite dimensional module $M$ of a finite group $G$ which attempts to quantify how close a module is to being projective. In this paper, we determine this invariant for permutation modules of the symmetric group corresponding to two-part partitions using tools from representation theory and combinatorics.
We introduce generalized global Weyl modules and relate their graded characters to nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomials and nonsymmetric $q$-Whittaker functions. In particular, we show that the series part of the nonsymmetric $q$-Whittaker function is a generating function for the graded characters of generalized global Weyl modules.
We investigate various topological spaces and varieties which can be associated to a block of a finite group scheme G. These spaces come from the theory of cohomological support varieties for modules, as well as from the representation-theoretic constructions of E. Friedlander and J. Pevtsova.
Given a weight-one element $u$ of a vertex operator algebra $V$, we construct an automorphism of the category of generalized $g$-twisted modules for automorphisms $g$ of $V$ fixing $u$. We apply this construction to the case that $V$ is an affine vertex operator algebra to obtain explicit results on these automorphisms of categories. In particular, we give explicit constructions of certain generalized twisted modules from generalized twisted modules associated to diagram automorphisms of finite-dimensional simple Lie algebras and generalized (untwisted) modules.
We calculate the first extension groups for finite-dimensional simple modules over an arbitrary generalized current Lie algebra, which includes the case of loop Lie algebras and their multivariable analogs.
We make a first step towards a classification of simple generalized Harish-Chandra modules which are not Harish-Chandra modules or weight modules of finite type. For an arbitrary algebraic reductive pair of complex Lie algebras $(\g,\k)$, we construct, via cohomological induction, the fundamental series $F^\cdot (\p,E)$ of generalized Harish-Chandra modules. We then use $F^\cdot (\p,E)$ to characterize any simple generalized Harish-Chandra module with generic minimal $\k$-type. More precisely, we prove that any such simple $(\g,\k)$-module of finite type arises as the unique simple submodule o…
Let g be a semisimple complex Lie algebra and k in g be any algebraic subalgebra reductive in g. For any simple finite dimensional k-module V, we construct simple (g; k)-modules M with finite dimensional k-isotypic components such that V is a k-submodule of M and the Vogan norm of any simple k-submodule V' of M; V' not isomorphic to V, is greater than the Vogan norm of V . The (g; k)-modules M are subquotients of the fundamental series of (g; k)-modules introduced in [PZ2].
We classify the finite dimensional indecomposable sl(m/n)-modules with at least a typical or singly atypical primitive weight. We do this classification not only for weight modules, but also for generalized weight modules. We obtain that such a generalized weight module is simply a module obtained by ``linking'' sub-quotient modules of generalized Kac-modules. By applying our results to sl(m/1), we have in fact completely classified all finite dimensional sl(m/1)-modules.
We show that two blocks of generalized quaternion defect with three simple modules over a sufficiently large $2$-adic ring $\mathcal O$ are Morita-equivalent if and only if the corresponding blocks over the residue field of $\mathcal O$ are Morita-equivalent. As a corollary we show that any two blocks defined over $\mathcal O$ with three simple modules and the same generalized quaternion defect group are derived equivalent.
We study holonomic modules for the rings of invariant differential operators on affine commutative domains with finite Krull dimension with respect to arbitrary actions of finite groups. We prove the Bernstein inequality for these rings. Our main tool is the filter dimension introduced by Bavula. We extend the results for the invariants of the Weyl algebra with respect to the symplectic action of a finite group, for the rings of invariant differential operators on quotient varieties, and invariants of certain generalized Weyl algebras under the linear actions. We show that the filter dimension…
We continue the study of the fundamental series of generalized Harish-Chandra modules initiated in [PZ2]. Generalized Harish-Chandra modules are (g,k)-modules of finite type where g is a semisimple Lie algebra and k \subset g is a reductive in g subalgebra. A first result of the present paper is that a fundamental series module is a g-module of finite length. We then define the notions of strongly and weakly reconstructible simple (g,k)-modules M which reflect to what extent M can be determined via its appearance in the socle of a fundamental series module. In the second part of the paper we c…
In [14] Hemmer conjectures that the module of fixed points for the symmetric group $Σ_m$ of a Specht module for $Σ_n$ (with $n>m$), over a field of positive characteristic $p$, has a Specht series, when viewed as a $Σ_{n-m}$-module. We provide a counterexample for each prime $p$. The examples have the same form for $p\geq 5$ and we treat the cases $p=3$ and $p=2$ separately.
We present methods and explicit formulas for describing simple weight modules over twisted generalized Weyl algebras. When a certain commutative subalgebra is finitely generated over an algebraically closed field we obtain a classification of a class of locally finite simple weight modules as those induced from simple modules over a subalgebra isomorphic to a tensor product of noncommutative tori. As an application we describe simple weight modules over the quantized Weyl algebra.
We investigate Whittaker modules for generalized Weyl algebras, a class of associative algebras which includes the quantum plane, Weyl algebras, the universal enveloping algebra of sl_2 and of Heisenberg Lie algebras, Smith's generalizations of U(sl_2), various quantum analogues of these algebras, and many others. We show that the Whittaker modules V = Aw of the generalized Weyl algebra A = R(phi,t) are in bijection with the phi-stable left ideals of R. We determine the annihilator Ann_A(w) of the cyclic generator w of V. We also describe the annihilator ideal Ann_A(V) under certain assumption…
In this paper, we approach the study of modules of constant Jordan type and equal images modules over elementary abelian p-groups E_r of rank r \geq 2 by exploiting a functor from the module category of a generalized Beilinson algebra B(n,r), n \leq p, to mod E_r. We define analogs of the above mentioned properties in mod B(n,r) and give a homological characterization of the resulting subcategories via a P^{r-1}-family of B(n,r)-modules of projective dimension one. This enables us to apply homological methods from Auslander-Reiten theory and thereby arrive at results that, in particular, contr…
Let $\mathcal{B}_r$ be the $(r+1)$-dimensional quotient Lie algebra of the positive part of the Virasoro algebra $\mathcal{V}$. Irreducible $\mathcal{B}_r$-modules were used to construct irreducible Whittaker modules in [MZ2] and irreducible weight modules with infinite dimensional weight spaces over $\mathcal{V}$ in [LLZ].In the present paper, we construct non-weight Virasoro modules $F(M, Ω(λ,β))$ from irreducible $\mathcal{B}_r$-modules $M$ and $(\mathcal{A},\mathcal{V})$-modules $Ω(λ,β)$. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for the Virasoro module $F(M, Ω(λ,β))$ to be irreducible. …
Classical local Weyl modules for a simple Lie algebra are labeled by dominant weights. We generalize the definition to the case of arbitrary weights and study the properties of the generalized modules. We prove that the representation theory of the generalized Weyl modules can be described in terms of the alcove paths and the quantum Bruhat graph. We make use of the Orr-Shimozono formula in order to prove that the $t=\infty$ specializations of the nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomials are equal to the characters of certain generalized Weyl modules.
We construct vertex algebraic intertwining operators among certain generalized Verma modules for $\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}(2,\mathbb{C})}$ and calculate the corresponding fusion rules. Additionally, we show that under some conditions these intertwining operators descend to intertwining operators among one generalized Verma module and two (generally non-standard) irreducible modules. Our construction relies on the irreducibility of the maximal proper submodules of generalized Verma modules appearing in the Garland-Lepowsky resolutions of standard $\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}(2,\mathbb{C})}$-modules. W…
