A criterion for irreducibility of parabolic baby Verma modules of reductive Lie algebras

Let $G$ be a connected, reductive algebraic group over an algebraically closed field $k$ of prime characteristic $p$ and $\mathfrak{g}=Lie(G)$. In this paper, we study representations of $\mathfrak{g}$ with a $p$-character $χ$ of standard Levi form. When $\mathfrak{g}$ is of type $A_n, B_n, C_n$ or $D_n$, a sufficient condition for the irreducibility of standard parabolic baby Verma $\mathfrak{g}$-modules is obtained. Generalised Jantzen filtration of Lie superalgebras II: the exceptional cases

Let $g$ be an exceptional Lie superalgebra, and let $p$ be the maximal parabolic subalgebra which contains the distinguished Borel subalgebra and has a purely even Levi subalgebra. For any parabolic Verma module in the parabolic category $O^p$, it is shown that the Jantzen filtration is the unique Loewy filtration, and the decomposition numbers of the layers of the filtration are determined by the coefficients of inverse Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials. This is a survey of some recent results on Sapovalov elements and the Jantzen filtration for contragredient Lie superalgebras. The topics covered include the existence and uniqueness of the Sapovalov elements, bounds on the degrees of their coefficients and the behavior of Sapovalov elements when the Borel subalgebra is changed. Determinant Formula for Parabolic Verma Modules of Lie Superalgebras

We prove a determinant formula for a parabolic Verma module of a Lie superalgebra, previously conjectured by the second author. Our determinant formula generalizes the previous results of Jantzen for a parabolic Verma module of a (non-super) Lie algebra, and of Kac concerning a (non-parabolic) Verma module for a Lie superalgebra. The resulting formula is expected to have a variety of applications in the study of higher-dimensional supersymmetric conformal field theories. We also discuss irreducibility criteria for the Verma module.

On the Reducibility of Scalar Generalized Verma Modules of Abelian Type

A parabolic subalgebra $\mathfrak{p}$ of a complex semisimple Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ is called a parabolic subalgebra of abelian type if its nilpotent radical is abelian. In this paper, we provide a complete characterization of the parameters for scalar generalized Verma modules attached to parabolic subalgebras of abelian type such that the modules are reducible. The proofs use Jantzen's simplicity criterion, as well as the Enright-Howe-Wallach classification of unitary highest weight modules.

Differential-Operator Representations of $S_n$ and Singular Vectors in Verma Modules

Given a weight of $sl(n,\mbb{C})$, we derive a system of variable-coefficient second-order linear partial differential equations that determines the singular vectors in the corresponding Verma module, and a differential-operator representation of the symmetric group $S_n$ on the related space of truncated power series. We prove that the solution space of the system of partial differential equations is exactly spanned by $\{\sgm(1)\mid \sgm\in S_n\}$. Differential Equations for Singular Vectors of sl(n)

Given a weight of sl(n), we derive a system of variable-coefficient second-order linear partial differential equations that determines the singular vectors in the corresponding Verma module. Moreover, we completely solve the system in a certain space of power series. The polynomial solutions correspond to the singular vectors in the Verma module. The well-known results of Verma, Bernstein-Gel'fand-Gel'fand and Jantzen for the case of $sl(n)$ are naturally included in our almost elementary approach of partial differential equations.

Whittaker categories of quasi-reductive Lie superalgebras and quantum symmetric pairs

On $p$-filtrations of Weyl modules

This paper considers Weyl modules for a simple, simply connected algebraic group over an algebraically closed field $k$ of positive characteristic $p\not=2$. The main result proves, if $p\geq 2h-2$ (where $h$ is the Coxeter number) and if the Lusztig character formula holds for all (irreducible modules with) regular restricted highest weights, then any Weyl module $Δ(λ)$ has a $Δ^p$-filtration, namely, a filtration with sections of the form $Δ^p(μ_0+pμ_1):=L(μ_0)\otimesΔ(μ_1)^{[1]}$, where $μ_0$ is restricted and $μ_1$ is arbitrary dominant.
