We propose a dynamical extension of the quantum quadratic exchange algebras introduced by Freidel and Maillet. It admits two distinct fusion structures. A simple example is provided by the scalar Ruijsenaars-Schneider model.
Quadratic Poisson brackets on a vector space equipped with a bilinear multiplication are studied. A notion of a bracket compatible with the multiplication is introduced and an effective criterion of such compatibility is given. Among compatible brackets, a subclass of coboundary brackets is described, and such brackets are enumerated in a number of examples.
We define a class of quadratic differential algebras which are generated as differential graded algebras by the elements of an Euclidean space. Such a differential algebra is a differential calculus over the quadratic algebra of its elements of differential degree zero. This generalizes for arbitrary quadratic algebras the differential graded algebra of exterior polynomial differential forms for the algebra of polynomial functions on $\mathbb R^n$. We investigate the structure of these differential algebras and their connection with the Koszul complexes of quadratic algebras.
In this paper we discuss a generalization of the classica PBW-theorem to the case of Koszul algebras. Our result is a slight generalization of that obtained by A.Polischuk and L.Positselsky, but the proof is different and uses deformation theory.
This is the first of series of talks presented at a permanent Rutgers workshop on noncommutative algebra and geometry. We study here quadratic and quadratic-linear algebras defined by factorizations of noncommutative polynomials and differential polynomials. Such algebras posses a natural derivation and give us a new understanding of a nature of noncommutative symmetric functions.
We introduce a notion of quadratic duality for chiral algebras. This can be viewed as a chiral version of the usual quadratic duality for quadratic associative algebras. We study the relationship between this duality notion and the Maurer-Cartan equations for chiral algebras, which turns out to be parallel to the associative algebra case. We also present some explicit examples.
We construct a class of representations of the quadratic R-matrix algebra, given by the reflection equation with the spectral parameter, in terms of certain ordinary difference operators. These operators turn out to act as parameter shifting operators on the 3_F_2(1) hypergeometric function and its limit cases and on classical orthogonal polynomials. The relationship with the factorization method will be discussed.
We consider representations of quadratic $R$-matrix algebras by means of certain first order ordinary differential operators. These operators turn out to act as parameter shifting operators on the Gauss hypergeometric function and its limit cases and on classical orthogonal polynomials. The relationship with W. Miller's treatment of Lie algebras of first order differential operators will be discussed.
In this paper, we study a class of Leibniz conformal algebras called quadratic Leibniz conformal algebras. An equivalent characterization of a Leibniz conformal algebra $R=\mathbb{C}[\partial]V$ through three algebraic operations on $V$ are given. By this characterization, several constructions of quadratic Leibniz conformal algebras are presented. Moreover, one-dimensional central extensions of quadratic Leibniz conformal algebras are considered using some bilinear forms on $V$. In particular, we also study one-dimensional Leibniz central extensions of quadratic Lie conformal algebras.
The quadratic algebras Q_n are associated with pseudo-roots of noncommutative polynomials. We compute the Hilbert series of the algebras Q_n and of the dual quadratic algebras Q_n^!
Given a symmetric non degenerated bilinear form b on a vector space V, G. Pinczon and R. Ushirobira defined a bracket {,} on the space of multilinear skewsymmetric forms on V. With this bracket, the quadratic Lie algebra structure equation on (V, b) becomes simply {â, â} = 0. We characterize similarly quadratic associative, commutative or pre-Lie structures on (V, b) by the same equation {â, â} = 0, but on different spaces of forms. These definitions extend to quadratic up to homotopy algebras and allows to describe the corresponding cohomologies.
The integrals of motion of the classical two dimensional superintegrable systems with quadratic integrals of motion close in a restrained quadratic Poisson algebra, whose the general form is investigated. Each classical superintegrable problem has a quantum counterpart, a quantum superintegrable system. The quadratic Poisson algebra is deformed to a quantum associative algebra, the finite dimensional representations of this algebra are calculated by using a deformed parafermion oscillator technique. It is shown that, the finite dimensional representations of the quadratic algebra are determine…
We discuss a class of generalized divided difference operators which give rise to a representation of Nichols-Woronowicz algebras associated to Weyl groups. For the root system of type $A,$ we also study the condition for the deformations of the Fomin-Kirillov quadratic algebra, which is a quadratic lift of the Nichols-Woronowicz algebra, to admit a representation given by generalized divided difference operators. The relations satisfied by the mutually commuting elements called Dunkl elements in the deformed Fomin-Kirillov algebra are determined. The Dunkl elements correspond to the truncated…
Hecke symmetries generalize the usual tensor symmetry of vector spaces $v\otimes w\arrow w\otimes v$ as well as the symmetry of vector superspaces. To a Hecke symmetry $R$ there associates a quadratic algebra which can be interpreted as the function algebra upon a certain quantum space. This paper investigates the Poincare series of this quadratic algebra. We showthat it is a rational function with numerator and denominator being a reciprocal polynomial and a skew-reciprocal polynomial, respectively.
In this paper, the notion of universal enveloping algebra introduced in [A. Ardizzoni, \emph{A First Sight Towards Primitively Generated Connected Braided Bialgebras}, submitted. (arXiv:0805.3391v3)] is specialized to the case of braided vector spaces whose Nichols algebra is quadratic as an algebra. In this setting a classification of universal enveloping algebras for braided vector spaces of dimension not greater than 2 is handled. As an application, we investigate the structure of primitively generated connected braided bialgebras whose braided vector space of primitive elements forms a Nic…
We classify Nichols algebras of irreducible Yetter-Drinfeld modules over nonabelian groups satisfying an inequality for the dimension of the homogeneous subspace of degree two. All such Nichols algebras are finite-dimensional, and all known finite-dimensional Nichols algebras of nonabelian group type appear in the result of our classification. We find a new finite-dimensional Nichols algebra over fields of characteristic two.
Consistent tensor products on auxiliary spaces, hereafter denoted "fusion procedures", are defined for general quadratic algebras, non-dynamical and dynamical, inspired by results on reflection algebras. Applications of these procedures then yield integer-indexed families of commuting Hamiltonians.
In this paper, quadratic algebras on which $\tilde{H}_4$, the Heisenberg group of order 64, acts as degree-preserving algebra automorphisms are studied. In particular, we show that if $\mathcal{A}$ is a four-dimensional Artin-Schelter regular quadratic $\tilde{H}_4$-algebra with the degree one part isomorphic to the Schrödinger representation of $\tilde{H}_4$, then $\mathcal{A}$ is (a twist of) a four-dimensional Sklyanin algebra or (a twist of) a quantum Clifford algebra of global dimension 4.
We study maximal Poisson-commutative subalgebras in the Poisson algebra $S(\mathfrak{g})$ of a semisimple Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ constructed by Mischenko and Fomenko with the help of the argument shift method. We prove that these subalgebras are Poisson centralizers of certain quadratic elements of $S(\mathfrak{g})$. We deduce from this that there is a unique quantization of Mischenko--Fomenko subalgebras, i.e. there is a unique way to lift Mischenko--Fomenko subalgebras to commutative subalgebras of the universal enveloping algebra $U(\mathfrak{g})$.
We construct quadratic quantum algebra based on the dynamical RLL-relation for the quantum $R$-matrix related to $SL(NM)$-bundles with nontrivial characteristic class over elliptic curve. This $R$-matrix generalizes simultaneously the elliptic nondynamical Baxter--Belavin and the dynamical Felder $R$-matrices,and the obtained quadratic relations generalize both -- the Sklyanin algebra and the relations in the Felder-Tarasov-Varchenko elliptic quantum group, which are reproduced in the particular cases $M=1$ and $N=1$ respectively.
The paper is devoted to the Poisson brackets compatible with multiplication in associative algebras. These brackets are shown to be quadratic and their relations with the classical Yang--Baxter equation are revealed. The paper also contains a description of Poisson Lie structures on Lie groups whose Lie algebras are adjacent to an associative structure.
In this paper, simplicity of quadratic Lie conformal algebras are investigated. From the point view of the corresponding Gel'fand-Dorfman bialgebras, some sufficient conditions and necessary conditions to ensure simplicity of quadratic Lie conformal algebras are presented. By these observations, we present several classes of new infinite simple Lie conformal algebras. These results will be useful for classification purposes.
Quadratic Poisson brackets on associative algebras are studied. Such a bracket compatible with the multiplication is related to a differentiation in tensor square of the underlying algebra. Jacobi identity means that this differentiation satisfies a classical Yang--Baxter equation. Corresponding Lie groups are canonically equipped with a Poisson Lie structure. A way to quantize such structures is suggested.
We study some quadratic algebras which are appeared in the low-dimensional topology and Schubert calculus. We introduce the Jucys-Murphy elements in the braid algebra and in the pure braid group, as well as the Dunkl elements in the extended affine braid group. Relationships between the Dunkl elements, Dunkl operators and Jucys-Murphy elements are described.
A natural family of quantized matrix algebras is introduced. It includes the two best studied such. Located inside ${\s U}_q(A_{2n-1})$, it consists of quadratic algebras with the same Hilbert series as polynomials in $n^2$ variables. We discuss their general properties and investigate some members of the family in great detail with respect to associated varieties, degrees, centers, and symplectic leaves. Finally, the space of rank r matrices becomes a Poisson submanifold, and there is an associated tensor category of $\rank\leq r$ matrices.
Poisson brackets (P.b) are the natural initial terms for the deformation quantization of commutative algebras. There is an open problem whether any Poisson bracket on the polynomial algebra of $n$ variables can be quantized. It is known (Poincare-Birkhoff-Witt theorem) that any linear P.b. for all $n$ can be quantized. On the other hand, it is easy to show that in case $n=2$ any P.b. is quantizable as well. Quadratic P.b. appear as the unitial terms for the quantization of polynomial algebras as quadratic algebras. The problem of the quantization of quadratic P.b. is also open. In the paper we…
In planar algebras, we show how to project certain simple "quadratic" tangles onto the linear space spanned by "linear" and "constant" tangles. We obtain some corollaries about the principal graphs and annular structure of subfactors.
We present a construction of integrable quantum spin chains where local spin-spin interactions are weighted by ``position''-dependent potential containing abelian non-local spin dependance. This construction applies to the previously defined three general quadratic reflection-type algebras: respectively non-dynamical, semidynamical, fully dynamical.
We study a multi-parametric family of quadratic algebras in four generators, which includes coordinate algebras of noncommutative four-planes and, as quotient algebras, noncommutative three spheres. Particular subfamilies comprise Sklyanin algebras and Connes--Dubois-Violette planes. We determine quantum groups of symmetries for the general algebras and construct finite-dimensional covariant differential calculi.
We revisit the free field construction of the deformed $W$-algebra by Frenkel and Reshetikhin [Comm. Math. Phys. 197 (1998), 1-32], where the basic $W$-current has been identified. Herein, we establish a free field construction of higher $W$-currents of the deformed $W$-algebra associated with the twisted affine Lie algebra $A_{2N}^{(2)}$. We obtain a closed set of quadratic relations and duality, which allows us to define deformed $W$-algebra ${\mathcal W}_{x,r}\big(A_{2N}^{(2)}\big)$ using generators and relations.
Various concepts associated with quadratic algebras admit natural generalizations when the quadratic algebras are replaced by graded algebras which are finitely generated in degree 1 with homogeneous relations of degree N. Such algebras are referred to as {\sl homogeneous algebras of degree N}. In particular it is shown that the Koszul complexes of quadratic algebras generalize as N-complexes for homogeneous algebras of degree N.
The finite dimensional representations of associative quadratic algebras with three generators are investigated by using a technique based on the deformed parafermionic oscillator algebra. One application on the calculation of the eigenvalues of the two-dimensional superintegrable systems is discussed.
We give a complete classification of quadratic algebras A, with Hilbert series $H_A=(1-t)^{-3}$, which is the Hilbert series of commutative polynomials on 3 variables. Koszul algebras as well as algebras with quadratic Gröbner basis among them are identified. We also give a complete classification of cubic algebras A with Hilbert series $H_A=(1+t)^{-1}(1-t)^{-3}$. These two classes of algebras contain all Artin-Schelter regular algebras of global dimension 3. As far as the latter are concerned, our results extend well-known results of Artin and Schelter by providing a classification up to an a…
In this paper, first we introduce the notion of quadratic Rota-Baxter Lie algebras of arbitrary weight, and show that there is a one-to-one correspondence between factorizable Lie bialgebras and quadratic Rota-Baxter Lie algebras of nonzero weight. Then we introduce the notions of matched pairs, bialgebras and Manin triples of Rota-Baxter Lie algebras of arbitrary weight, and show that Rota-Baxter Lie bialgebras, Manin triples of Rota-Baxter Lie algebras and certain matched pairs of Rota-Baxter Lie algebras are equivalent. The coadjoint representations and quadratic Rota-Baxter Lie algebras pl…
A quadratic semigroup algebra is an algebra over a field given by the generators $x_1,...,x_n$ and a finite set of quadratic relations each of which either has the shape $x_jx_k=0$ or the shape $x_jx_k=x_lx_m$. We prove that a quadratic semigroup algebra given by $n$ generators and $d\leq \frac{n^2+n}{4}$ relations is always infinite dimensional. This strengthens the Golod--Shafarevich estimate for the above class of algebras. Our main result however is that for every $n$, there is a finite dimensional quadratic semigroup algebra with $n$ generators and $δ_n$ relations, where $δ_n$ is the firs…
The operads of Poisson and Gerstenhaber algebras are generated by a single binary element if we consider them as Hopf operads (i.e. as operads in the category of cocommutative coalgebras). In this note we discuss in details the Hopf operads generated by a single element of arbitrary arity. We explain why the dual space to the space of $n$-ary operations in this operads are quadratic and Koszul algebras. We give the detailed description of generators, relations and a certain monomial basis in these algebras.
Four classes of three dimensional quadratic algebras of the type $\lsb Q_0 , Q_\pm \rsb$ $=$ $\pm Q_\pm$, $\lsb Q_+ , Q_- \rsb$ $=$ $aQ_0^2 + bQ_0 + c$, where $(a,b,c)$ are constants or central elements of the algebra, are constructed using a generalization of the well known two-mode bosonic realizations of $su(2)$ and $su(1,1)$. The resulting matrix representations and single variable differential operator realizations are obtained. Some remarks on the mathematical and physical relevance of such algebras are given.
