Let $W$ be a finite Weyl group of classical type which may not be irreducible, $F$ an algebraically closed field, $q$ an invertible element of $F$. We denote by $\mathcal H_W(q)$ the associated Hecke algebra. If $q=1$ then it is $FW$ and we know the representation type. Thus, we assume that $q\ne 1$. Let $P_W(x)$ be the Poincare polynomial of $W$. It is well-known that $\mathcal H_W(q)$ is semisimple if and only if $x-q$ does not divide $P_W(x)$. q-Index on braided non-commutative spheres

To some Hecke symmetries (i.e. Yang-Baxter braidings of Hecke type) we assign algebras called braided non-commutative spheres. For any such algebra, we introduce and compute a q-analog of the Chern-Connes index. Unlike the standard Chern-Connes index, ours is based on the so-called categorical trace specific for a braided category in which the algebra in question is represented.

Set theoretic Yang-Baxter & reflection equations and quantum group symmetries

Connections between set-theoretic Yang-Baxter and reflection equations and quantum integrable systems are investigated. We show that set-theoretic $R$-matrices are expressed as twists of known solutions. We then focus on reflection and twisted algebras and we derive the associated defining algebra relations for $R$-matrices being Baxterized solutions of the $A$-type Hecke algebra ${\cal H}_N(q=1)$. Quantum Weyl algebras

For any Hecke symmetry $R$ there is a natural quantization $A_n(R)$ of the Weyl algebra $A_n$. The aim of this paper is to study some general ring-theoretic aspects of $A_n(R)$ and its relations to formal deformations of $A_n$. We also obtain further information on those quantizations obtained from some well-known Hecke symmetries.

From Braces to Hecke algebras & Quantum Groups

We examine links between the theory of braces and set theoretical solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation, and fundamental concepts from the theory of quantum integrable systems. More precisely, we make connections with Hecke algebras and we identify new quantum groups associated to set-theoretic solutions coming from braces. We also construct a novel class of quantum discrete integrable systems and we derive symmetries for the corresponding periodic transfer matrices.

Quantum Deformations of Relativistic Symmetries

We discussed quantum deformations of D=4 Lorentz and Poincare algebras. In the case of Poincare algebra it is shown that almost all classical r-matrices of S. Zakrzewski classification correspond to twisted deformations of Abelian and Jordanian types. A part of twists corresponding to the r-matrices of Zakrzewski classification are given in explicit form.

Extended noncommutative Minkowski spacetimes and hybrid gauge symmetries

We study the Lie bialgebra structures that can be built on the one-dimensional central extension of the Poincaré and (A)dS algebras in (1+1) dimensions. These central extensions admit more than one interpretation, but the simplest one is that they describe the symmetries of (the noncommutative deformation of) an Abelian gauge theory, $U(1)$ or $SO(2)$ on the (1+1) dimensional Minkowski or (A)dS spacetime. We generalise the analysis carried out in [arXiv:0710.5796], and find that our previous results can be extended beyond the case of SL(N,C). In particular, we show that an equivalence--at the level of the holomorphic chiral algebra--between a bosonic string on a smooth coset manifold G/B and a B-gauged version of itself on G, will imply an isomorphism of classical W-algebras and a level relation which underlie a geometric Langlands correspondence for the simply-laced, complex ADE-groups. We study the two-dimensional twisted (0,2) sigma-model on various smooth complex flag manifolds G/B, and explore its relevance to the geometric Langlands program. We find that an equivalence - at the level of the holomorphic chiral algebra - between a bosonic string on G/B and a B-gauged version of itself on G, will imply an isomorphism of classical W-algebras and a level relation which underlie a geometric Langlands correspondence for G=SL(N,C).
