We discuss a class of generalized divided difference operators which give rise to a representation of Nichols-Woronowicz algebras associated to Weyl groups. For the root system of type $A,$ we also study the condition for the deformations of the Fomin-Kirillov quadratic algebra, which is a quadratic lift of the Nichols-Woronowicz algebra, to admit a representation given by generalized divided difference operators. The relations satisfied by the mutually commuting elements called Dunkl elements in the deformed Fomin-Kirillov algebra are determined. The Dunkl elements correspond to the truncated elliptic Dunkl operators via the representation given by the generalized divided difference operators.
We construct a model of the affine nil-Hecke algebra as a subalgebra of the Nichols-Woronowicz algebra associated to a Yetter-Drinfeld module over the affine Weyl group. We also discuss the Peterson isomorphism between the homology of the affine Grassmannian and the small quantum cohomology ring of the flag variety in terms of the braided differential calculus.
On any Reflection Equation algebra corresponding to a skew-invertible Hecke symmetry (i.e. a special type solution of the Quantum Yang-Baxter Equation) we define analogs of the partial derivatives. Together with elements of the initial Reflection Equation algebra they generate a "braided analog" of the Weyl algebra. When $q\to 1$, the braided Weyl algebra corresponding to the Quantum Group $U_q(sl(2))$ goes to the Weyl algebra defined on the algebra $\Sym((u(2))$ or that $U(u(2))$ depending on the way of passing to the limit. Thus, we define partial derivatives on the algebra $U(u(2))$, find t…
Given M copies of a q-deformed Weyl or Clifford algebra in the defining representation of a quantum group $G_q$, we determine a prescription to embed them into a unique, inclusive $G_q$-covariant algebra. The different copies are "coupled" to each other and are naturally ordered into a "chain". In the case $G_q=SL_q(N)$ a modified prescription yields an inclusive algebra which is even explicitly $SL_q(M) X SL_q(N)$-covariant, where $SL_q(M)$ is a symmetry relating the different copies. By the introduction of these inclusive algebrae we significantly enlarge the class of $G_q$-covariant deforme…
Braided differential operators $\del^i$ are obtained by differentiating the addition law on the braided covector spaces introduced previously (such as the braided addition law on the quantum plane). These are affiliated to a Yang-Baxter matrix $R$. The quantum eigenfunctions $\exp_R(\vecx|\vecv)$ of the $\del^i$ (braided-plane waves) are introduced in the free case where the position components $x_i$ are totally non-commuting. We prove a braided $R$-binomial theorem and a braided-Taylors theorem $\exp_R(\veca|\del)f(\vecx)=f(\veca+\vecx)$. These various results precisely generalise to a generi…
We construct a category of flat vector bundles on an elliptic curve. It arises in the representation theory of quantum affine algebras and carries meromorphic braided structure with singularities on the diagonal of the square of the curve.
We present new examples of deformations of smash product algebras that arise from Hopf algebra actions on pairs of module algebras. These examples involve module algebras that are Koszul, in which case a PBW theorem we established previously applies. Our construction generalizes several `double' constructions appearing in the literature, including Weyl algebras and some types of Cherednik algebras, and it complements the braided double construction of Bazlov and Berenstein. Many suggestions of further directions are provided at the end of the work.
We show that except in several cases conjugacy classes of classical Weyl groups $W(B_n)$ and $W(D_n)$ are of type {\rm D}. We prove that except in three cases Nichols algebras of irreducible Yetter-Drinfeld ({\rm YD} in short )modules over the classical Weyl groups are infinite dimensional. We establish the relationship between Fomin-Kirillov algebra $\mathcal E_n$ and Nichols algebra $\mathfrak{B} ({\mathcal O}_{(1, 2)} , ε\otimes {\rm sgn})$ of transposition over symmetry group by means of quiver Hopf algebras. We generalize {\rm FK } algebra. The characteristic of finiteness of Nichols alge…
Braided doubles provide a unifying framework for classical and quantum universal enveloping algebras and rational Cherednik algebras. They are a class of algebras with triangular decomposition, arising from a deformation problem, the solutions to which are called quasi-Yetter-Drinfeld modules. A basic family of quasi-YD modules is provided by braidings (matrices satisfying the quantum Yang-Baxter equation); these give rise to quantum versions of the Weyl algebra, where the role of polynomial rings is played by Nichols-Woronowicz algebras. Rational Cherednik algebras for t = 0 emerge as subalge…
In this note, we calculate the Poincaré series of elliptic Weyl groups of type $A^{(1,1)}_1$ and $A^{(1,1) \ast}_1$ and show that they have a simple expression.
We use category theory to propose a unified approach to the Schur-Weyl dualities involving the general linear Lie algebras, their polynomial extensions and associated quantum deformations. We define multiplicative sequences of algebras exemplified by the sequence of group algebras of the symmetric groups and use them to introduce associated monoidal categories. Universal properties of these categories lead to uniform constructions of the Drinfeld functor connecting representation theories of the degenerate affine Hecke algebras and the Yangians and of its q-analogue. Moreover, we construct act…
Given a module $M$ for the algebra $\mathcal{D}_{\mathtt{q}}(G)$ of quantum differential operators on $G$, and a positive integer $n$, we may equip the space $F_n^G(M)$ of invariant tensors in $V^{\otimes n}\otimes M$, with an action of the double affine Hecke algebra of type $A_{n-1}$. Here $G= SL_N$ or $GL_N$, and $V$ is the $N$-dimensional defining representation of $G$. In this paper we take $M$ to be the basic $\mathcal{D}_{\mathtt{q}}(G)$-module, i.e. the quantized coordinate algebra $M= \mathcal{O}_{\mathtt{q}}(G)$. We describe a weight basis for $F_n^G(\mathcal{O}_{\mathtt{q}}(G))$ com…
We define the notion of braided Coxeter category, which is informally a tensor category carrying compatible, commuting actions of a generalised braid group B_W and Artin's braid groups B_n on the tensor powers of its objects. The data which defines the action of B_W bears a formal similarity to the associativity constraints in a monoidal category, but is related to the coherence of a family of fiber functors. We show that the quantum Weyl group operators of a quantised Kac-Moody algebra U_h(g), together with the universal R-matrices of its Levi subalgebras, give rise to a braided Coxeter struc…
We attach elliptic Dunkl operators to an abelian variety with a finite group action. This generalizes elliptic Dunkl operators for Weyl groups, defined by Buchstaber, Felder, and Veselov in 1994. We show that these operators commute, and use them to define representations from category O of elliptic Cherednik algebras. We also consider the monodromy representations of differential equations defined by elliptic Dunkl operators, and show that they yield finite dimensional rrepresentations of generalized double affine Hecke algebras.
We construct a genus one analogue of the theory of associators and the Grothendieck-Teichmueller group. The analogue of the Galois action on the profinite braid groups is an action of the arithmetic fundamental group of a moduli space of elliptic curves on the profinite braid groups in genus one. This action factors through an explicit profinite group hat GT_ell, which admits an interpretation in terms of decorations of braided monoidal categories. We relate this group to its prounipotent group scheme version GT_ell(-). We construct a torsor over the latter group, the scheme of elliptic associ…
We give a construction of an affine Hecke algebra associated to any Coxeter group acting on an abelian variety by reflections; in the case of an affine Weyl group, the result is an elliptic analogue of the usual double affine Hecke algebra. As an application, we use a variant of the $\tilde{C}_n$ version of the construction to construct a flat noncommutative deformation of the $n$th symmetric power of any rational surface with a smooth anticanonical curve, and give a further construction which conjecturally is a corresponding deformation of the Hilbert scheme of points.
We construct a certain cross product of two copies of the braided dual $\tilde H$ of a quasitriangular Hopf algebra $H$, which we call the elliptic double $E_H$, and which we use to construct representations of the punctured elliptic braid group extending the well-known representations of the planar braid group attached to $H$. We show that the elliptic double is the universal source of such representations. We recover the representations of the punctured torus braid group obtained in arXiv:0805.2766, and hence construct a homomorphism to the Heisenberg double $D_H$, which is an isomorphism if…
We construct a flat connection on the elliptic configuration space associated to any complex semisimple Lie algebra g. This elliptic Casimir connection has logarithmic singularities, and takes values in the deformed double current algebra of g defined by Guay. It degenerates to the trigonometric Casimir connection of g constructed by the first author. By analogy with the rational and trigonometric cases, we conjecture that the monodromy of the elliptic Casimir connection is described by the quantum Weyl group operators of the quantum toroidal algebra of g.
Fomin and Kirillov initiated a line of research into the realization of the cohomology and $K$-theory of generalized flag varieties $G/B$ as commutative subalgebras of certain noncommutative algebras. This approach has several advantages, which we discuss. This paper contains the most comprehensive result in a series of papers related to the mentioned line of research. More precisely, we give a model for the $T$-equivariant $K$-theory of a generalized flag variety $K_T(G/B)$ in terms of a certain braided Hopf algebra called the Nichols-Woronowicz algebra. Our model is based on the Chevalley-ty…
In the previous author's paper the Macdonald norm conjecture (including the famous constant term conjecture) was proved. This paper contains the proof of the remaining two (the duality and evaluation conjectures). The evaluation theorem is in fact a $q,t$-generalization of the classic Weyl dimension formula. As to the duality theorem, it states that the generalized trigonometric-difference zonal Fourier transform is self-dual (at least formally). We define this transform in terms of double affine Hecke algebras related to elliptic braid groups. The duality appeared to be directly connected wit…
Quantum toroidal algebras (or double affine quantum algebras) are defined from quantum affine Kac-Moody algebras by using the Drinfeld quantum affinization process. They are quantum groups analogs of elliptic Cherednik algebras (elliptic double affine Hecke algebras) to whom they are related via Schur-Weyl duality. In this review paper, we give a glimpse on some aspects of their very rich representation theory in the context of general quantum affinizations. We illustrate with several examples. We also announce new results and explain possible further developments, in particular on finite dime…
Let g be a symmetrisable Kac-Moody algebra, and U_h(g) the corresponding quantum group. We showed in arXiv:1610.09744 and arXiv:1610.09741 that the braided quasi-Coxeter structure on integrable, category O representations of U_h(g) which underlies the R-matrix actions arising from the Levi subalgebras of U_h(g) and the quantum Weyl group action of the generalised braid group B_g can be transferred to integrable, category O representations of g. We prove in this paper that, up to unique equivalence, there is a unique such structure on the latter category with prescribed restriction functors, R-…
The goal of this paper is to define a new class of objects which we call triple groups and to relate them with Cherednik's double affine Hecke algebras. This has as immediate consequences new descriptions of double affine Weyl and Artin groups, the double affine Hecke algebras as well as the corresponding elliptic objects. From the new descriptions we recover results of Cherednik on automorphisms of double affine Hecke algebras.
Let g be a symmetrizable Kac-Moody algebra and U_h(g) its quantized enveloping algebra. The quantum Weyl group operators of U_h(g) and the universal R-matrices of its Levi subalgebras endow U_h(g) with a natural quasi-Coxeter quasitriangular quasibialgebra structure which underlies the action of the braid group of g and Artin's braid groups on the tensor product of integrable, category O modules. We show that this structure can be transferred to the universal enveloping algebra Ug[[h]]. The proof relies on a modification of the Etingof-Kazhdan quantization functor, and yields an isomorphism be…
The 'relativistic' Heun equation is an 8-coupling difference equation that generalizes the 4-coupling Heun differential equation. It can be viewed as the time-independent Schrödinger equation for an analytic difference operator introduced by van Diejen. We study Hilbert space features of this operator and its 'modular partner', based on an in-depth analysis of the eigenvectors of a Hilbert-Schmidt integral operator whose integral kernel has a previously known relation to the two difference operators. With suitable restrictions on the parameters, we show that the commuting difference operators …
Let $(\otimes_{j=1}^nV_j)[0]$ be the zero weight subspace of a tensor product of finite-dimensional irreducible $\frak{sl}_2$-modules. The dynamical elliptic Bethe algebra is a commutative algebra of differential operators acting on $(\otimes_{j=1}^nV_j)[0]$-valued functions on the Cartan subalgebra of $\frak{sl}_2$. The algebra is generated by values of the coefficient $S_2(x)$ of a certain differential operator $D=(d/dx)^2+S_2(x)$, defined to V. Rubtsov, A. Silantyev, D. Talalaev in 2009. We express $S_2(x)$ in terms of the KZB operators introduced by G. Felder and C. Wieszerkowski in 1994. …
