A selfsimiar manifold is a Riemannian manifold $\left(M,g\right)$ endowed with a homothetic vector field $ξ$. We characterize global selfsimilar manifolds and describe the structure of local selfsimilar manifolds. We prove that any selfsimilar manifold with a potential homothetic vector field is a conical Riemannian manifold or a Eucledean space. A radiant Hessian manifold is selfsimilar Hessian manifold $\left(M,\nabla,g,ξ\right)$ such that $\nablaξ=λ\text{Id}$. We prove that any selfsimilar Hessian manifold with a potential homothetic vector field is locally isomorphic to a product radiant Hessian manifolds and describe the local structure of radiant selfsimialar Hessian manifolds.
Let $(M,\nabla,g)$ be a Hessian manifold. Then the total space of the tangent bundle $TM$ can be endowed with a Kähler structure $\left(I,{\cal g}\right)$. We say that a homogeneous Hessian manifold is a Hessian manifold $(M,\nabla,g)$ endowed with a transitive action of a group $G$ preserving $\nabla$ and $g$. If $(M,\nabla,g)$ is a simply connected homogeneous Hessian manifold for a group $G$ then we construct an action of the group $G\ltimes_θ\mathbb{R}^n$ on $TM=M\times \mathbb{R}^n$ such that $\left(TM,I,g\right)$ is a homogeneous Kähler manifold for the group $G\ltimes_θ\mathbb{R}^n$. In this paper, we study and partially classify those Riemannian man-ifolds carrying a non-identically vanishing function f whose Hessian is minus f times the Ricci-tensor of the manifold.
We show vanishing theorems of $L^2$-cohomology groups of Kodaira-Nakano type on complete Hessian manifolds. We obtain further vanishing theorems of $L^2$-cohomology groups $L^2H^{p,q}(Ω)$ on a regular convex cone $Ω$ with the Cheng-Yau metric for $p>q$.
In this article we show that every geodesic is rank one and the Hessian of Busemann functions is positive definite for a harmonic Damek-Ricci space, a two step solvable Lie group with a left invariant metric. Moreover, the eigenspace of the Hessian of Busemann functions on a Hadamard manifold $(M,g)$ corresponding to eigenvalue zero is investigated with respect to rank of geodesics. On a harmonic Hadamard manifold which is of purely exponential volume growth, or of hypergeometric type it is shown that every Busemann function admits positive definite Hessian. A criterion for $(M,g)$ fulfilling …

The Hessian geometry is the real analogue of the Kähler one. Sasakian geometry is an odd-dimensional counterpart of the Kähler geometry. In the paper, we study the connection between projective Hessian and Sasakian manifolds analogous to the one between Hessian and Kähler manifolds. In particular, we construct a Sasakian structure on $TM\times \mathbb{R}$ from a projective Hessian structure on $M$. Especially, we are interested in the case of invariant structure on Lie groups. We define semi-Sasakian Lie groups as a generalization of Sasakian Lie groups. Then we construct a semi-Sasakian struc…
In this paper, we generalize all the results obtained on para-Kähler Lie algebras in Journal of Algebra {\bf 436} (2015) 61-101 to para-Kähler Lie algebroids. In particular, we study exact para-Kähler Lie algebroids as a generalization of exact para-Kähler Lie algebras. This study leads to a natural generalization of pseudo-Hessian manifolds. Generalized pseudo-Hessian manifolds have many similarities with Poisson manifolds. We explore these similarities which, among others, leads to a powerful machinery to build examples of non trivial pseudo-Hessian structures. Namely, we will show that give…

In this paper, we consider Hessian equations with its structure as a combination of elementary symmetric functions on closed Kähler manifolds. We provide a sufficient and necessary condition for the solvability of these equations, which generalize the results of Hessian equations and Hessian quotient equations.
A contravariant pseudo-Hessian manifold is a manifold $M$ endowed with a pair $(\nabla,h)$ where $\nabla$ is a flat connection and $h$ is a symmetric bivector field satisfying a contravariant Codazzi equation. When $h$ is invertible we recover the known notion of pseudo-Hessian manifold. Contravariant pseudo-Hessian manifolds have properties similar to Poisson manifolds and, in fact, to any contravariant pseudo-Hessian manifold $(M,\nabla,h)$ we associate naturally a Poisson tensor on $TM$. We investigate these properties and we study in details many classes of such structures in order to high…
We show the $C^0$ estimate for solutions to Hessian quotient equations on hyperKähler with torsion manifolds without any additional assumption on its hypercomplex structure by a clever use of the cone condition directly.
We define a Hesse soliton, that is, a self-similar solution to the Hesse flow on Hessian manifolds. On information geometry, the $e$-connection and the $m$-connection are important, which do not coincide with the Levi-Civita one. Therefore, it is interesting to consider a Hessian manifold with a flat connection which does not coincide with the Levi-Civita one. We call it a proper Hessian manifold. In this paper, we show that any compact proper Hesse soliton is expanding and any non-trivial compact gradient Hesse soliton is proper. Furthermore, we show that the dual space of a Hesse-Einstein ma…
In this paper we study the Dirichlet problem for a class of Hessian type equation with its structure as a combination of elementary symmetric functions on Hermitian manifolds. Under some conditions with the initial data on manifolds and admissible subsolutions, we derive a priori estimates for this complex mixed Hessian equation and solvability of the corresponding Dirichlet problem.
Let $(X,ω)$ be a compact Kähler manifold of dimension $n$ and fix $1\leq m\leq n$. We prove that the total mass of the complex Hessian measure of $ω$-$m$-subharmonic functions is non-decreasing with respect to the singularity type. We then solve complex Hessian equations with prescribed singularity, and prove a Hodge index type inequality for positive currents.
In this paper, we consider a class of Hessian quotient equations in the warped product manifold $\overline{M}=I\times_λM$. Under some sufficient conditions, we obtain an existence result for the star-shaped compact hypersurface $Σ$ in $\overline{M}$ using standard degree theory based on a priori estimates for solutions to the Hessian quotient equations.
In this note we provide uniform a priori estimates for solutions to degenerate complex Hessian equations on compact hermitian manifolds. Our approach relies on the corresponding a priori estimates for Monge-Ampère equations; it provides an extension as well as a short alternative proof to results of Dinew-Kołodziej, Kołodziej-Nguyen and Guo-Phong-Tong.
We study the long time behavior of the Hesse-Koszul flow on compact Hessian manifolds. When the first affine Chern class is negative, we prove that the flow converges to the unique Hesse-Einstein metric. We also derive a convergence result for a twisted Hesse-Koszul flow on any compact Hessian manifold. These results give alternative proofs for the existence of the unique Hesse-Einstein metric by Cheng-Yau and Caffarelli-Viaclovsky as well as the real Calabi theorem by Cheng-Yau, Delanoë and Caffarelli-Viaclovsky.
We prove the existence of weak solutions of complex $m-$Hessian equations on compact Hermitian manifolds for the nonnegative right hand side belonging to $L^p, p>n/m$ ($n$ is the dimension of the manifold). For smooth, positive data the equation has been recently solved by Szekelyhidi and Zhang. We also give a stability result for such solutions.
We solve the Dirichlet problem for $k$-Hessian equations on compact complex manifolds with boundary, given the existence of a subsolution. Our method is based on a second order a priori estimate of the solution on the boundary with a particular gradient scale. The scale allows us to apply a blow-up argument to obtain control on all necessary norms of the solution.
We consider degenerate Monge-Ampère equations on compact Hessian manifolds. We establish compactness properties of the set of normalized quasi-convex functions and show local and global comparison principles for twisted Monge-Ampère operators. We then use the Perron method to solve Monge-Ampère equations whose RHS involves an arbitrary probability measure, generalizing works of Cheng-Yau, Delanoë, Caffarelli-Viaclovsky and Hultgren-Önnheim. The intrinsic approach we develop should be useful in deriving similar results on mildly singular Hessian varieties, in line with the Strominger-Yau-Zaslow…
In our previous work, we have generalized the notion of dually flat or Hessian manifold to quasi-Hessian manifold; it admits the Hessian metric to be degenerate but possesses a particular symmetric cubic tensor (generalized Amari-Centsov tensor). Indeed, it naturally appears as a singular model in information geometry and related fields. A quasi-Hessian manifold is locally accompanied with a possibly multi-valued potential and its dual, whose graphs are called the $e$-wavefront and the $m$-wavefront respectively, together with coherent tangent bundles endowed with flat connections. In the pres…
In this paper, we derive an \emph{a priori} second order estimate for solutions which are in $Γ_{k+1}$ cone to a class of complex Hessian equations with both sides of the equation depending on the gradient on compact Hermitian manifolds.
In this paper we consider Monge-Ampère equations on compact Hessian manifolds, or equivalently Monge-Ampère equations on certain unbounded convex domains $Ω\subseteq \mathbb{R}^n$, with a periodicity constraint given by the action of an affine group. In the case where the affine group action is volume-preserving, i.e., when the manifold is special, the solvability of the corresponding Monge-Ampère equation was established using the continuity method by Cheng and Yau. In the general case we set up a variational framework involving certain dual manifolds and a generalization of the classical Leg…
