We consider Hessian quotient equations in Riemannian setting related to a problem posed by Delanoë and Urbas. We prove unobstructed second order a priori estimate for the real Hessian quotient equation via the maximum principle argument on Riemannian manifolds in dimension two. This is achieved by introducing new test function and exploiting some fine concavity properties of quotient operator. This result demonstrates that there is intriguing difference between the real case and the complex case, as there are known obstructions for $J$-equation in complex geometry.
We show the $C^0$ estimate for solutions to Hessian quotient equations on hyperKähler with torsion manifolds without any additional assumption on its hypercomplex structure by a clever use of the cone condition directly.
In this paper, we consider a class of Hessian quotient equations in the warped product manifold $\overline{M}=I\times_λM$. Under some sufficient conditions, we obtain an existence result for the star-shaped compact hypersurface $Σ$ in $\overline{M}$ using standard degree theory based on a priori estimates for solutions to the Hessian quotient equations.
Let $Ω$ be a bounded domain (with smooth boundary) on the hyperbolic plane $\mathscr{H}^{n}(1)$, of center at origin and radius $1$, in the $(n+1)$-dimensional Lorentz-Minkowski space $\mathbb{R}^{n+1}_{1}$. In this paper, by using a priori estimates, we can establish Pogorelov type estimates of $k$-convex solutions to a class of Hessian quotient equations defined over $Ω\subset\mathscr{H}^{n}(1)$ and with the vanishing Dirichlet boundary condition.
In this paper, under suitable settings, we can obtain the existence and uniqueness of solutions to a class of Hessian quotient equations with Dirichlet boundary condition in Lorentz-Minkowski space $\mathbb{R}^{n+1}_{1}$, which can be seen as a prescribed curvature problem and a continuous work of [12].
We prove that all entire smooth strictly convex self-shrinking solutions on $\mathbb{R}^n$ to the Hessian quotient flows must be quadratic. This generalizes the rigidity theorem for entire self-shrinking solutions to the Lagrangian mean curvature flow in pseudo-Euclidean space due to Ding-Xin \cite{DX}. Moreover, we show that our argument works for a larger class of equations. In particular, we obtain rigidity results for entire self-shrinking solutions on $\mathbb{C}^n$ to the Kähler-Ricci flow under certain conditions.
In this paper, we consider Hessian equations with its structure as a combination of elementary symmetric functions on closed Kähler manifolds. We provide a sufficient and necessary condition for the solvability of these equations, which generalize the results of Hessian equations and Hessian quotient equations.
In this paper, we study Hessian equations and complex quotient equations on closed Hermitian manifolds. We directly derive the uniform estimate for the admissible solution. As an application, we solve general Hessian equations on closed Kähler manifolds.
We study the Dirichlet problem of a class of fully nonlinear elliptic equations on Hermitian manifolds and derive a priori $C^2$ estimates which depend on the initial data on manifolds, the admissible subsolutions and the upper bound of the gradients of the solutions. In some special cases, we obtain the gradient estimates, and hence we can solve the corresponding Dirichlet problem with admissible subsolutions. We also study the Hessian quotient equations and $(m-1,m-1)$-Hessian quotient equations on compact Hermitian manifolds without boundary.
The $J$-equation proposed by Donaldson is a complex Hessian quotient equation on Kähler manifolds. The solvability of the $J$-equation is proved by Song-Weinkove to be equivalent to the existence of a subsolution. It is also conjectured by Lejmi-Szekelyhidi to be equivalent to a stability condition in terms of holomorphic intersection numbers as an analogue of the Nakai-Moishezon criterion in algebraic geometry. The conjecture is recently proved by Chen under a stronger uniform stability condition. In this paper, we establish a Nakai-Moishezon type criterion for pairs of Kähler classes on anal…

In this paper, we consider the inverse hessian quotient curvature flow with star-shaped initial hypersurface in anti-de Sitter-Schwarzschild manifold. We prove that the solution exists for all time, and the second fundamental form converges to identity exponentially fast.
We derive a priori estimates for solutions of a general class of fully non-linear equations on compact Hermitian manifolds. Our method is based on ideas that have been used for different specific equations, such as the complex Monge-Ampère, Hessian and inverse Hessian equations. As an application we solve a class of Hessian quotient equations on Kähler manifolds assuming the existence of a suitable subsolution. The method also applies to analogous equations on compact Riemannian manifolds.
In this paper, we establish second order estimates for a general class of fully nonlinear equations with linear gradient terms on compact almost Hermitian manifolds. As an application, we first prove the existence of solutions for the Monge-Ampère equation with linear gradient terms for $(n-1)$-plurisubharmonic functions, originated from Gaudochon conjecture, in the almost Hermitian setting. Second, we solve the Monge-Ampère equation and Hessian equations with linear gradient terms. Third, we give the $C^{\infty}$ a priori estimates for the deformed Hermitian-Yang-Mills equation with supercrit…
In this brief survey, we will remark the interaction among the Hessian tensor on a semi-Riemannian manifold and some of the several questions in Lorentzian (and also in semi-Riemannian) geometry where this 2-covariant tensor is involved. In particular, we deal with the characterization of Killing vector fields and the study of a set of consequences of energy conditions in the framework of standard static space-times.
We study the hard Lefschetz property on compact symplectic solvmanifolds, i.e., compact quotients $M=Γ\backslash G$ of a simply-connected solvable Lie group $G$ by a lattice $Γ$, admitting a symplectic structure.
The expression (-1/u) times the Hessian of u transforms as a symmetric (0,2) tensor under projective coordinate transformations, so long as u transforms as a section of a certain line bundle. On a locally projectively flat manifold M, the section u can be regarded as a metric potential analogous to the local potential in Kahler geometry. If M is compact and u is a negative section of the dual of the tautological bundle whose Hessian is positive definite, then M is projectively equivalent to a quotient of a bounded convex domain in R^n. The same is true if M has a boundary on which u=0. This th…

Hyperkahler quotients by non-free actions are typically highly singular, but are remarkably still partitioned into smooth hyperkahler manifolds. We show that these partitions are topological stratifications, in a strong sense. We also endow the quotients with global Poisson structures which induce the hyperkahler structures on the strata. Finally, we give a local model which shows that these quotients are locally isomorphic to linear complex-symplectic reductions in the GIT sense. These results can be thought of as the hyperkahler analogues of Sjamaar-Lerman's theorems for symplectic reduction…
