The class of $η$-quasiconvex functions was introduced in 2016. Here we establish novel inequalities of Ostrowski type for functions whose second derivative, in absolute value raised to the power $q\geq 1$, is $η$-quasiconvex. Several interesting inequalities are deduced as special cases. Furthermore, we apply our results to the arithmetic, geometric, Harmonic, logarithmic, generalized log and identric means, getting new relations amongst them.

The concept of Riemann-Stieltjes integral $\int_a^b {f\left( t \right)du\left( t \right)}$; where $f$ is called the integrand, $u$ is called the integrator, plays an important role in Mathematics. The approximation problem of the Riemann-Stieltjes integral $\int_a^b {f\left( t \right)du\left( t \right)}$ in terms of the Riemann-Stieltjes sums have been considered recently by many authors. However, a small attention and a few works have been considered for mappings of two variables; i.e., The approximation problem of the Riemann-Stieltjes double integral $\int_a^b {\int_c^d {f\left( {t,s} \righ…

The approach is based on the monotonicity properties of some functions involving the the generalized Gamma functions. At the end, we pose some open problems.
Simple inequalities for some integrals involving the modified Struve function of the first kind $\mathbf{L}_ν(x)$ are established. In most cases, these inequalities have best possible constant. We also deduce a tight double inequality, involving the modified Struve function $\mathbf{L}_ν(x)$, for a generalized hypergeometric function.
Simple inequalities are established for some integrals involving the modified Bessel functions of the first and second kind. In most cases these inequalities are tight in certain limits. As a consequence, we deduce a tight double inequality, involving the modified Bessel function of the first kind, for a generalized hypergeometric function. We also present some open problems that arise from this research.
In this paper, we obtain inequalities for some integrals involving the modified Lommel function of the first kind $t_{μ,ν}(x)$. In most cases, these inequalities are tight in certain limits. We also deduce a tight double inequality, involving the modified Lommel function $t_{μ,ν}(x)$, for a generalized hypergeometric function. The inequalities obtained in this paper generalise recent bounds for integrals involving the modified Struve function of the first kind.
In the paper, the authors establish three kinds of double inequalities for the trigamma function in terms of the exponential function to powers of the digamma function. These newly established inequalities extend some known results. The method in the paper utilizes some facts from the asymptotic theory and is a natural way to solve problems for approximating some quantities for large values of the variable.
We prove the following double inequality related with Burnside's formula for $n!$ \begin{equation*} \sqrt{2π}\left(\frac{n+a_*}{e}\right)^{n+a_*}<n!<\sqrt{2π}\left(\frac{n+a^*}{e}\right)^{n+a^*}\,(n\in\mathbb{N}), \end{equation*} where the constants $a_*=0.428844044...$ and $a^*=0.5$ are the best possible. We believe that the method we used in the proof gives insight to undergraduate students to understand how simple inequalities can be established.
Simple inequalities are established for integrals of the type $\int_0^x \mathrm{e}^{-γt} t^{-ν} \mathbf{L}_ν(t)\,\mathrm{d}t$, where $x>0$, $0\leqγ<1$, $ν>-\frac{3}{2}$ and $\mathbf{L}_ν(x)$ is the modified Struve function of the first kind. In most cases, these inequalities are tight in certain limits. As a consequence we deduce a tight double inequality, involving the modified Struve function $\mathbf{L}_ν(x)$, for a generalized hypergeometric function.
The main aim of this paper is to prove that the double inequality \frac{(k-1)!}{\Bigl\{x+\Bigl[\frac{(k-1)!}{|ψ^{(k)}(1)|}\Bigr]^{1/k}\Bigr\}^k} +\frac{k!}{x^{k+1}}<\bigl|ψ^{(k)}(x)\bigr|<\frac{(k-1)!}{\bigl(x+\frac12\bigr)^k}+\frac{k!}{x^{k+1}} holds for $x>0$ and $k\in\mathbb{N}$ and that the constants $\Bigl[\frac{(k-1)!}{|ψ^{(k)}(1)|}\Bigr]^{1/k}$ and $\frac12$ are the best possible. In passing, some related inequalities and (logarithmically) complete monotonicity results concerning the gamma, psi and polygamma functions are surveyed.
In this paper, we prove that for x\in(0,π/2) (cos p_0x)^{1/p_0}<((sin x)/x)<(cos(x/3))^3 with the best constants p_0=0.347307245464... and 1/3. Moreover, if p\in (0,1/3] then the double inequality β_{p}(cos px)^{1/p}<((sin x)/x)<(cos px)^{1/p} holds for x\in(0,π/2), where β_{p}=2π^-1(cos((pπ)/2))^{-1/p} and 1 are the best possible. Its reverse one holds if p\in[1/2,1]. As applications, some new inequalities are established.
