We present particular and unique solutions of singlet and non-singlet Dokshitzer-Gribov-Lipatov- Altarelli-Parisi (DGLAP) evolution equations in next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) at low-x. We obtain t-evolutions of deuteron, proton, neutron and difference and ratio of proton and neutron structure functions at low-x from DGLAP evolution equations. The results of t-evolutions are compared with HERA and NMC lox-x and low-Q2 data. We also compare our result of t-evolution of proton structure function with a recent global parameterization.
The non-singlet structure functions have been obtained by solving Dokshitzer-Gribov-Lipatov-Altarelli-Parisi (DGLAP) evolution equations in leading order (LO) and next-to-leading order (NLO) at the small-x limit. Here a Taylor series expansion has been used and then the method of characteristics has been applied to solve the evolution equations. Results are comopared with the Fermilab experiment E665 data and New Muon Collaboration (NMC) data.

Here we have used Taylor series expansion method to solve the evolution equations and, t- and x-evolutions of the singlet structure functions have been obtained with such solution. We have also calculated t- and x-evolutions of deuteron structure functions F_2^d, and the results are compared with the E665 data and NMC data. The results are also compared to those obtaine…
In this paper the singlet and non-singlet structure functions have been obtained by solving Dokshitzer, Gribove, Lipatov, Alterelli, Parisi (DGLAP) evolution equations in leading order (LO) and next to leading order (NLO) at the small x limit. Here we have used a Taylor Series expansion and then the method of characteristics to solve the evolution equations. We have also calculated t and x-evolutions of deuteron structure function and the results are compared with the New Muon Collaboration (NMC) data.
We present particular and unique solutions of Dokshitzer- Gribov- Lipatov- Altarelli-Parisi (DGLAP) evolution equation for gluon structure function in leading order (LO) and obtain t and x-evolutions of gluon structure function at small-x. The results are compared with a recent global parameterization.
We examine critically the evidence for deviations from next-to-leading order perturbative DGLAP evolution in HERA data. We briefly review the status of perturbative small-x resummation and of global determinations of parton distributions. We show that the geometric scaling properties of HERA data are consistent with DGLAP evolution, which is also strongly supported by the double asymptotic scaling properties of the data. However, backward--evolution of parton distributions into the low x, low Q^2 region does show evidence of deviations between the observed behaviour and the next-to-leading ord…
We present particular and unique solutions of Dokshitzer-Gribov-Lipatov- Altarelli-Parisi (DGLAP) evolution equations for light sea and valence quark structure functions in leading order (LO). We obtain t evolutions of sea and valence quark structure functions and x- evolutions of light sea quark structure functions from DGLAP evolution equations. The results are compared with a recent global parameterization.
We present a set of formulas to extract two second-order independent differential equations for the gluon and singlet distribution functions. Our results extend from the LO up to NNLO DGLAP evolution equations with respect to the hard-Pomeron behavior at low-x. In this approach, both singlet quarks and gluons have the same high-energy behavior at low-x. We solve the independent DGLAP evolution equations for the functions $F^{s}_{2}(x,Q^{2})$ and $G(x,Q^{2})$ as a function of their initial parameterization at the starting scale $Q^{2}_{0}$ . The results not only give striking support to the har…
We present a set of independent formulae to extract the gluon distribution and singlet structure function from its derivatives with respect to $lnQ^{2}$ in the next- to- leading order of perturbation theory at low-$x$ based on a hard pomeron exchange. In this approach, both singlet quarks and gluons have the same high-energy behavior at small $x$. This approach needs the QCD input parameterizations for a independent DGLAP evolutions that we calculated numerically and compared with MRST, GRV and DL model- the Pomeron has a hard nature. Its evolution gives a good fit to the experimental data. Th…
We present a parton shower which implements the DGLAP evolution of parton densities and fragmentation functions at next-to-leading order precision up to effects stemming from local four-momentum conservation. The Monte-Carlo simulation is based on including next-to-leading order collinear splitting functions in an existing parton shower and combining their soft enhanced contributions with the corresponding terms at leading order. Soft double counting is avoided by matching to the soft eikonal. Example results from two independent realizations of the algorithm, implemented in the two event gene…
Neutrino-nucleon scattering, which produces the parity violating term, xF3(x,Q2) the non-singlet hadron structure function in their weak interaction has significant contribution towards the understanding of valence quark distribution for low-Q2 and small-x region inside hadrons. Here x is the fractional momentum of partons and Q2 is the four momentum transfer in a deep inelastic scattering process. In this paper, the xF3(x,Q2) structure function has been obtained by solving the Dokshitzer-Gribov-Lipatov-Altarelli-Parisi evolution equation in leading order and next-to-leading order at small-x l…
We explain particular, unique, approximate solutions of the Dokshitzer-Gribov-Lipatov-Altarelli-Parisi (DGLAP) evolution equations and also solutions of DGLAP evolution equations by using regge behaviour of structure functions and method of characteristic for t and x-evolutions of singlet and non-singlet structure functions in leading order (LO) and next-to-leading order (NLO). Hence t-evolution of deuteron, proton, neutron and difference of proton and neutron and x-evolution of deuteron, proton and neutron structure functions in LO and NLO at low-x from DGLAP evolution equations. The results …
We discuss DGLAP and BFKL evolution equations in the N=4 supersymmetric gauge theory in the leading and next-to-leading approximations. Eigenvalues of the BFKL kernel in this model turn out to be analytic functions of the conformal spin. It allows us to find the residues of the anomalous dimensions of the twist-2 operators in the points j=1,0,-1, ... from the BFKL equation in an agreement with their direct calculation from the DGLAP equation. The holomorphic separability of the BFKL kernel and the integrability of the DGLAP dynamics in this model are also discussed.
We present particular and unique solutions of singlet and non-singlet Dokshitzer-Gribov-Lipatov-Altarelli-Parisi (DGLAP) evolution equations in leading order (LO) and next-to-leading order (NLO) and gluon, sea and valence quark Dokshitzer-Gribov-Lipatov-Altarelli-Parisi (DGLAP) evolution equations in leading order (LO) by applying Taylor expansion method at small-x. We obtain t-evolutions of deuteron, proton, neutron, difference and ratio of proton and neutron, gluon, light sea and valence quark structure functions and x-evolution of deuteron, gluon and light sea quark structure functions at sm…
In this paper we develop the DGLAP evolution for the system of produced gluons in the process of diffractive production in DIS, directly from the evolution equation in Color Glass Condensate approach. We are able to describe the available experimental data with small value of the QCD coupling ($\bar{α_S} \approx 0.1$). We conclude that in diffractive production, we have a dilute system of emitted gluons and in the order to describe them, we need to develop the next-to-leading order approach in perturbative QCD.
Presently available perturbative QCD calculations combining hard process matrix element with the Parton Shower Monte Carlo programs feature hard process matrix element calculated often beyond the leading order (LO), that is including complete next-to-leading-order (NLO), or even next-to-next-to-leading-order (NNLO) corrections, while Parton Shower is only at the leading order (LO). We report here on a work in progress which demonstrate feasibility of constructing Parton Shower Monte Carlo (PSMC) featuring complete NLO corrections to QCD evolution with respect to the logarithm of the factorizat…
In this paper we present a new and efficient analytical solutions for evolving the QED$\otimes$QCD DGLAP evolution equations in mellin space and obtain the parton distribution functions (PDFs) in perturbative QCD including the QED corrections. The validity of our analytical solutions, which have done in the next to leading order QCD and the leading order QED approximations, are checked with the initial parton distributions from newly released CT14QED global analysis code (Phys. Rev.D93,114015(2016)). The evolved parton distributions are in good agreement with CT14QED code and also with those f…
We show that it is possible to use hard-Pomeron behavior to the gluon distribution and singlet structure function at low $x$. We derive a second-order independent differential equation for the gluon distribution and the singlet structure function. In this approach, both singlet quarks and gluons have the same high-energy behavior at small $x$. These equations are derived from the next-to-leading order DGLAP evolution equations. All results can be consistently described in the framework of perturbative QCD, which shows an increase of gluon distribution and singlet structure functions as $x$ dec…
We studied the effects of NLO $Q^2$ evolution of generalized parton distributions (GPDs) using the aligned-jet model for the singlet quark and gluon GPDs at an initial evolution scale. We found that the skewness ratio for quarks is a slow logarithmic function of $Q^2$ reaching $r^S=1.5-2$ at $Q^2=100$ GeV$^2$ and $r^g \approx 1$ for gluons in a wide range of $Q^2$. Using the resulting GPDs, we calculated the DVCS cross section on the proton in NLO pQCD and found that this model in conjunction with modern parameterizations of proton PDFs (CJ15 and CT14) provides a good description of the availa…
We consider the (process-independent) Green function for the BFKL equation in the next-to-leading order approximation, with running coupling, and explain how, within the semi-classical approximation, it is related to Green function of the Airy equation. The unique Green function is obtained from a combination of its required ultraviolet behaviour compatible with asymptotic freedom and an infrared limit phase imposed by the non-perturbative sector of QCD. We show that at sufficiently large gluon transverse momenta the corresponding gluon density matches that of the DGLAP analysis, whereas for r…
We derive the DGLAP and BFKL evolution equations in the N=4 supersymmetric gauge theory in the next-to-leading approximation. The eigenvalue of the BFKL kernel in this model turns out to be an analytic function of the conformal spin |n|. Its analytic continuation to negative |n| in the leading logarithmic approximation allows us to obtain residues of anomalous dimensions γof twist-2 operators in the non-physical points j=0,-1,... from the BFKL equation in an agreement with their direct calculation from the DGLAP equation. Moreover, in the multi-color limit of the N=4 model the BFKL and DGLAP d…
Results for the two real parton differential distributions needed for implementing a next-to-leading order (NLO) parton shower Monte Carlo are presented. They are also integrated over the phase space in order to provide solid numerical control of the MC codes and for the discussion of the differences between the standard $\bar{MS}$ factorization and Monte Carlo implementation at the level of inclusive NLO evolution kernels. Presented results cover the class of non-singlet diagrams entering into NLO kernels. The classic work of Curci-Furmanski-Pertonzio was used as a guide in the calculations.
We analytically solved the QED $\otimes$ QCD coupled DGLAP evolution equations at leading order (LO) quantum electrodynamics (QED) and next to leading order (NLO) quantum chromodynamics (QCD) approximations, using the Laplace transform method and then computed the proton structure function in terms of the unpolarized parton distributions functions. Our analyitical solutions for parton densities are in good agreement with those from APFEL (A PDF Evolution Library) (Computer Physics Communications 185, 1647-1668 (2014)) and CT14QED (Phys. Rev. D 93, 114015 (2016)) global parameterizations. We al…
In this work, we present an analytical solution for QCD$\otimes$QED coupled Dokshitzer-Gribov-Lipatov-Altarelli-Parisi (DGLAP) evolution equations at the leading order (LO) accuracy in QED and next-to-leading order (NLO) accuracy in perturbative QCD using double Laplace transform. This technique is applied to obtain the singlet, gluon and photon distribution functions and also the proton structure function. We also obtain contribution of photon in proton at LO and NLO at high energy and successfully compare the proton structure function with HERA data \cite{12} and APFEL results \cite{7}. Some…
The next-to-leading order (NLO) evolution of the parton distribution functions (PDFs) in QCD is a common tool in the lepton-hadron and hadron-hadron collider data analysis. The standard NLO DGLAP evolution is formulated for inclusive (integrated) PDFs and done using inclusive NLO kernels. We report here on the ongoing project, called KRKMC, in which NLO DGLAP evolution is performed for the exclusive multiparton (fully unintegrated) distributions (ePDFs) with the help of the exclusive kernels. These kernels are calculated within the two-parton phase space for the non-singlet evolution, using Cu…
This is the introductory part of my PhD thesis which consists of two parts, the separate introduction and four published articles. The introduction begins by a technically detailed description of the DGLAP evolution and the fast numerical solving method for the DGLAP equations, which has been used in the numerical works of the published articles of this thesis. A write-up of the next-to-leading order (NLO) calculations for the deeply inelastic scattering (DIS) and the Drell-Yan (DY) dilepton production cross-sections is also included. The formalism of the inclusive single hadron production at …
We calculate cross section and azimuthal decorrellation of Mueller Navelet jets at the LHC in the complete next-lo-leading order BFKL framework, i.e. including next-to-leading corrections to the Green's function as well as next-to-leading corrections to the Mueller Navelet vertices. The obtained results for standard observables proposed for studies of Mueller Navelet jets show that both sources of corrections are of equal, big importance for final magnitude and final behavior of observables. The astonishing conclusion of our analysis is that the observables obtained within the complete next-lo…
Theoretical predictions show that at low values of Bjorken $x$ the spin structure function, $g_1$ is influenced by large logarithmic corrections, $ln^2(1/x)$, which may be predominant in this region. These corrections are also partially contained in the NLO part of the standard DGLAP evolution. Here we calculate the non-singlet component of the nucleon structure function, $g_1^{NS}=g_1^p-g_1^n$, and its first moment, using a unified evolution equation. This equation incorporates the terms describing the NLO DGLAP evolution and the terms contributing to the $ln^2(1/x)$ resummation. In order to …
According to a rederivation - due to Collins and Qiu - the DGLAP equation can be reinterpreted (in leading order) in a probabilistic way. This form of the equation has been used indirectly to prove the bound $|Δf(x,Q)| < f(x,Q)$ between polarized and unpolarized distributions, or positivity of the helicity distributions, for any $Q$. We reanalize this issue by performing a detailed numerical study of the positivity bounds of the helicity distributions. To obtain the numerical solution we implement an x-space based algorithm for polarized and unpolarized distributions to next-to-leading order i…
For the first time, a next-to-leading BFKL study of the cross section and azimuthal decorrellation of Mueller Navelet jets is performed, i.e. including next-to-leading corrections to the Green's function as well as next-to-leading corrections to the Mueller Navelet vertices. The obtained results for standard observables proposed for studies of Mueller Navelet jets show that both sources of corrections are of equal and big importance for final magnitude and final behavior of observables, in particular for the LHC kinematics investigated here in detail. The astonishing conclusion of our analysis…
Deuteron and proton structure functions are derived from Dokshitzer-Gribov-Lipatov-Altarelli-Parisi (DGLAP) evolution equations of singlet and non-singlet structure functions in next-to-leading order (NLO) at low-x assuming the Regge behaviour of singlet and non-singlet structure functions at this limit and results are compared with New Muon Collaboration (NMC) and E665 collaboration data sets.
The combined HERA data for the inclusive deep inelastic scattering (DIS) cross sections for the momentum transfer $Q^2 > 1$ GeV$^2$ are fitted within the Dokshitzer-Gribov-Lipatov-Altarelli-Parisi (DGLAP) framework at next-to-leading order (NLO) and next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) accuracy, complemented by a QCD-inspired parameterisation of twist 4 corrections. A modified form of the input parton density functions is also included, motivated by parton saturation mechanism at small Bjorken $x$ and at a low scale. These modifications lead to a significant improvement of the data description…
Of late, the field of BFKL physics has been the subject of significant developments. The calculation of the NLL terms was recently completed, and they turned out to be very large. Techniques have been proposed to resum these corrections. These lectures provide an introduction to the BFKL equation and some of the recent developments, using DGLAP evolution as the starting point.
The standard analytic solution to the DGLAP equation in Mellin space is improved by resumming the large x divergences. Explicit results are given to next-to-leading order and next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy. Numerically, the theoretical error is found to be reduced by the resummation for a large range of x.
Evolution of gluon distribution function from Dokshitzer-Gribov-Lipatov-Altarelli-Parisi (DGLAP) evolution equation in next-to-leading order (NLO) at low-x is presented assuming the Regge behaviour of quarks and gluons at this limit. We compare our results of gluon distribution function with MRST2004, GRV98LO and GRV98NLO parameterizations and show the compatibility of Regge behaviour of quark and gluon distribution functions with perturbative quantum chromodynamics (PQCD) at low-x.
We determine the UHE neutrino-nucleon cross-sections analytically both for charged and neutral current in the leading order by using the solutions of non-singlet DGLAP equation as well as singlet DGLAP equation respectively. Next we determine the cross-sections for both charged and neutral current at one loop level by carring out numerical integration of the double differential cross-section. For analytical solution, we take the standard MRST 2004 f4 LO parton distributions at $Q_0^2=1$ \,GeV$^2$ as input and for numerical solution (exact), we consider the GRV 94 parton distributions. Our anal…
We show how it is possible to rewrite the BFKL equation for the unintegrated gluon distribution, in terms of integrated gluons, similar to that used in DGLAP. We add to our equation the next-to-leading log terms which provide exact energy-momentum conservation and account for the kinematic constraint in real gluon emission. In this way the equation includes the major part of the higher-order corrections to BFKL evolution. We discuss the possibility to obtain a unified BFKL-DGLAP evolution equation relevant to processes at the LHC where both log(1/x) and logQ^2 are large simultaneously.
The virtual photon structure function $g_1^γ(x,Q^2,P^2)$, which can be obtained in polarized $e^{+}e^{-}$ colliding-beam experiments, is investigated for $Λ^2 \ll P^2 \ll Q^2$, where $-Q^2$ ($-P^2$) is the mass squared of the probe (target) photon. The analysis is made to next-to-leading order in QCD, in the framework of the QCD improved parton model with the DGLAP evolution equations. The non-leading corrections significantly modify the leading log result, in particular, at large $x$ as well as at small $x$.
We report on re-calculation of the next-to-leading order DGLAP evolution kernels performed in a scheme suited for Monte Carlo simulations of parton cascades (parton showers).
We derive the gluon initiated contribution to the initial condition for the perturbative fragmentation function of a heavy quark through order O(α_s^2) in the MS-bar scheme. This result is needed for the resummation with next-to-next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy of quasi-collinear logarithms ln^k(m^2) in heavy quark differential distributions by solving the complete DGLAP equation. Together with the previously evaluated fermion initiated components, this result completes the derivation of the initial condition for the perturbative fragmentation function at next-to-next-to-leading order.
The QCD evolution of both unpolarized and polarized generalized parton distributions (GPDs) to next-to-leading order (NLO) accuracy is presented, in both the DGLAP and ERBL regions, for two appropriately symmetrized input distributions based on conventional parton density functions. To illustrate the relative size of the NLO corrections a comparison is made with leading order evolution of the same distributions. For the first time, NLO results are given for both small and large values of the skewedness parameter, $ζ= x_{bj}$, i.e. for all of the kinematic range relevant to HERA and HERMES.
The structure of real and virtual photons has been studied in electron-proton scattering processes producing di-jet events at HERA by the H1 and ZEUS collaborations. Data have been compared to next-to-leading order QCD calculations and to the predictions of Monte Carlo generators based on the DGLAP and CCFM formalisms for describing the parton dynamics
A systematic extension of the Monte Carlo (MC) algorithm, that solves the DGLAP equation, into the so-called the one-loop CCFM evolution is presented. Modifications are related to a z-dependent coupling constant; transverse momentum dependence is added to the x-dependence of the parton distributions. The presented Markovian algorithm for one-loop CCFM evolution is the first step in extending it to other more sophisticated schemes beyond DGLAP. In particular, implementing the complete CCFM will be the next step. The presently implemented one-loop CCFM option will be a useful tool in testing the…
Renormalization group evolution equations describing the scale dependence of quantities in quantum chromodynamics (QCD) play a central role in the interpretation of experimental data. Arguably the most important evolution equations for collider physics applications are the Dokshitzer-Gribov-Lipatov-Altarelli-Parisi (DGLAP) equations, which describe the evolution of a quark or gluon fragmenting into hadrons, with only a single hadron identified at a time. In recent years, the study of the correlations of energy flow within jets has come to play a central role at collider experiments, necessitat…
We investigate the heavy quark mass effects on the parton distribution functions in the unpolarized virtual photon up to the next-to-leading order in QCD. Our formalism is based on the QCD-improved parton model described by the DGLAP evolution equation as well as on the operator product expansion supplemented by the mass-independent renormalization group method. We evaluate the various components of the parton distributions inside the virtual photon with the massive quark effects, which are included through the initial condition for the heavy quark distributions, or equivalently from the matri…
We derive the initial condition for the perturbative fragmentation function of a heavy quark through order O(alpha_s^2) in the MS-bar scheme. This initial condition is useful for computing heavy quark (or lepton, in case of QED) energy distributions from calculations with massless partons. In addition, the initial condition at O(alpha_s^2) can be used to resum collinear logarithms ln(Q^2/m^2) in heavy quark energy spectrum with next-to-next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy by solving the DGLAP equation.
Using an approach based on Soft Collinear Effective Theory (SCET) and Heavy Quark Effective Theory (HQET) we determine the $b$-quark fragmentation function from electron-positron annihilation data at the $Z$-boson peak at next-to-next-to leading order, with next-to-next-to leading log resummation of DGLAP logarithms, and next-to-next-to-next-to leading log resummation of endpoint logarithms. This analysis improves, by one order, the previous extraction of the $b$-quark fragmentation function. We find that while the addition of the next order in the calculation does not much shift the extracted…
We show the new relationship [1] between the anomalous dimensions, resummed through next-to-next-to-leading-logarithmic order, in the Dokshitzer-Gribov-Lipatov-Altarelli-Parisi (DGLAP) evolution equations for the first Mellin moments D_{q,g}(mu2) of the quark and gluon fragmentation functions, which correspond to the average hadron multiplicities in jets initiated by quarks and gluons, respectively. So far, such relationships have only been known from supersymmetric (SUSY) QCD. Exploiting available next-to-next-to-next-to-leading-order (NNNLO) information on the ratio D_g^+(mu2)/D_q^+(mu2) of …
We perform a global parton fit to DIS and related data, including next-to-leading logarithmic (NLL) BFKL resummations in both the massless and massive sectors. The resummed fit improves over a standard next-to-leading order (NLO) DGLAP fit, with a positive definite gluon at the input scale as opposed to the negative gluon seen at NLO. Furthermore, the predicted longitudinal structure function is free of perturbative instability at small x, and the reduced cross-section shows a turnover at high y (absent in the NLO fit) consistent with the HERA data.
We consider the expansion of small-$x$ resummed DGLAP splitting functions at next-to-leading logarithmic (NLL) accuracy to four-loop order, namely next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order (N$^3$LO). From this, we extract the exact LL and NLL small-$x$ contributions to the yet unknown N$^3$LO splitting functions, both in the standard $\overline{MS}$ scheme and in the $Q_0 \overline{MS}$ scheme usually considered in small-$x$ literature. We show that the impact of unknown subleading logarithmic contributions (NNLL and beyond) at N$^3$LO is significant, thus motivating future work towards their comp…
