The expression for the spin susceptibility $χ$ of degenerate quark matter is derived with corrections upto $ {\cal O}(g^4\ln g^2)$. It is shown that at low density, $χ^{-1}$ changes sign and turns negative indicating a ferromagnetic phase transition. To this order, we also calculate sound velocity $c_1$ and incompressibility $K$ with arbitrary spin polarization. The estimated values of $c_1$ and $K$ show that the equation of state of the polarized matter is stiffer than the unpolarized one. Finally we determine the finite temperature corrections to the exchange energy and derive corresponding results for the spin susceptibility.
Considering the strong field approximation we compute the hard thermal loop pressure at finite temperature and chemical potential of hot and dense deconfined QCD matter in lowest Landau level in one-loop order. We consider the anisotropic pressure in the presence of the strong magnetic field i.e., longitudinal and transverse pressure along parallel and perpendicular to the magnetic field direction. As a first effort, we compute and discuss the anisotropic quark number susceptibility of deconfined QCD matter in lowest Landau level. The longitudinal quark number susceptibility is found to increa…
The Equation of State and Quark Number Susceptibility in Hard-Dense-Loop Approximation
基于[ H. S. Zong,W. M. Sun,Phys. Rev.
In this work, we compute the hard thermal loop pressure of quark-gluon plasma within strong magnetic field approximation at one-loop order. Magnetic field breaks the rotational symmetry of the system. As a result, the pressure of QGP becomes anisotropic and one finds two different pressures along the longitudinal (along the magnetic field direction) and transverse direction. Similarly, the second-order quark number susceptibility, which represents the fluctuation of the net quark number density, also becomes anisotropic. We compute the second order QNS of deconfined QCD matter in strong field …
We have computed the chiral susceptibility in quark-gluon plasma in presence of finite chemical potential and weak magnetic field within hard thermal loop approximation. First we construct the massive effective quark propagator in a thermomagnetic medium. Then we obtain completely analytic expression for the chiral susceptibility in weak magnetic field approximation. In the absence of magnetic field the thermal chiral susceptibility increases in presence of finite chemical potential. The effect of thermomagnetic correction is found to be very marginal as temperature is the dominant scale in we…
In ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions, enormous magnetic fields are generated because of fast-moving charged particles. In the presence of these magnetic fields, the spin of particles is aligned either in the parallel or in the antiparallel direction with respect to the direction of the magnetic field. A finite magnetization is thus produced. It is known that a finite magnetic susceptibility, $χ_{m}$, changes the evolution of the energy density of the quark-gluon plasma (QGP), which is believed to be created in these collisions. Depending on whether the system under consideration is a para…
We investigate magnetic field $(eB)$ dependence of constituent quark mass, the longitudinal and transverse pressure as well as the magnetization and magnetic susceptibility of strongly interacting quark matter. We employ the two-flavour Polyakov Nambu--Jona-Lasinio model with the inclusion of the anomalous magnetic moment (AMM) of the quarks at finite temperature $(T)$ and finite quark chemical potential $(μ_q)$ capturing different stages of chiral phase transition. We find that the transverse pressure, magnetization and magnetic susceptibility become highly oscillatory for large values of $eB…
Spontaneous magnetization and magnetic susceptibility originated from the pseudovector-type four-point interaction between quarks are calculated in quark matter with zero temperature and finite quark chemical potential by using the two-flavor Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model. It is shown that both the chiral condensate and spin polarized condensate coexist in a narrow region of the quark chemical potential. And then, it is also shown that, in this narrow region, the spontaneous magnetization appears. Also, the magnetic susceptibility due to quarks with the positive energy is evaluated in the spin pola…
We perform hybrid Monte-Carlo (HMC) simulation of lattice QCD with $N_f=2+1+1$ domain-wall quarks at the physical point, on the $64^3 \times (64,20,16,12,10,8,6)$ lattices, each with three lattice spacings. The lattice spacings and the bare quark masses are determined on the $64^4$ lattices. The resulting gauge ensembles provide a basis for studying finite temperature QCD with $N_f=2+1+1 $ domain-wall quarks at the physical point. In this paper, we determine the topological susceptibility of the QCD vacuum for $T > T_c \sim 150 $ MeV. The topological charge of each gauge configuration is measu…
In this work we investigate the finite-size effects on the phase structure of a two-flavor four-fermion interaction model with a flavor-mixing four-body interaction and in the presence of a magnetic background, taking into account different boundary conditions. We employ mean-field approximation and Schwinger's proper-time method in a toroidal topology with antiperiodic and periodic boundary conditions. The chiral susceptibility and constituent quark masses are studied under the change of the relevant parameters: size of compactified coordinates, temperature, chemical potential and magnetic fi…
We investigate the rotating quark matter in the three-flavor Nambu and Jona-Lasinio (NJL) model. The chiral condensation, spin polarization and number susceptibility of the light and strange quarks are carefully studied at finite temperature without or with finite chemical potential in this model. We find that the rotation suppresses the chiral condensation and enhances the first-order quark spin polarization, however for the second-order quark spin polarization and quark number susceptibility the effect is complicated and interesting. When extending to the situation with finite chemical poten…
