We obtain Drinfeld second realization of the quantum affine superalgebras associated with the affine Lie superalgebra $D^{(1)}(2,1;x)$. Our results are analogous to those obtained by Beck for the quantum affine algebras. Beck's analysis uses heavily the (extended) affine Weyl groups of the affine Lie algebras. In our approach the structures are based on a Weyl groupoid.
We construct a minimalistic presentation of Drinfeld super Yangians in the case of special linear superalgebra associated with an arbitrary Dynkin diagram. This gives us a possibility to introduce Hopf superalgebra structure on Drinfeld super Yangians. Using complete Weyl group we classify Drinfeld super Yangians endowed with mentioned Hopf superalgebra structures. Also it is constructed an isomorphism between completions of Drinfeld super Yangians and quantum loop superalgebras.
We construct Drinfeld realisations for the quantum affine superalgebras associated with the osp(1|2n)^{(1)}, Sl(1|2n)^{(2)} and osp(2|2n)^{(2)} series of affine Lie superalgebras.
Drinfeld Yangian of a queer Lie superalgebra is defined as the quantization of a Lie bisuperelgebra of twisted polynomial currents. An analogue of the new system of generators of Drinfeld is being constructed. It is proved for the partial case Lie superalgebra $sq_1$ that this so defined Yangian and the Yangian, introduced earlier by M. Nazarov using the Faddeev-Reshetikhin-Takhtadzhjan approach, are isomorphic.
Drinfeld realisations are constructed for the quantum affine superalgebras of the series ${\rm\mathfrak{osp}}(1|2n)^{(1)}$,${\rm\mathfrak{sl}}(1|2n)^{(2)}$ and ${\rm\mathfrak{osp}}(2|2n)^{(2)}$. By using the realisations, we develop vertex operator representations and classify the finite dimensional irreducible representations for these quantum affine superalgebras.
In this paper, we extend the generalization of Drinfeld realization of quantum affine algebras to quantum affine superalgebras with its Drinfeld comultiplication and its Hopf algebra structure, which depends on a function $g(z)$ satisfying the relation: $g(z)=g(z^{-1})^{-1}.$ In particular, we present the Drinfeld realization of $U_q(\hat {\frak osp}(1,2))$ and its Serre relations.
In this paper, we present the hidden symmetry behind the Faddeev-Reshetikhin-Takhtajan-Semenov-Tian-Shansky realization of quantum affine superalgebras $U_q(\hat {osp}(1,2))$ and add the q-Serre relation to the Drinfeld realization of $U_q(\hat {osp}(1,2))$ (math.QA/9712011) derived from the FRTS realization.
We summarize the definition of the Weyl groupoid using supercategory approach in order to investigate quantum superalgebras at roots of unity. The Weyl groupoid of $\mathfrak{sl}(m|n)$ is constructed to this end as some supercategory. We prove that in this case quantum superalgebras associated with Dynkin diagrams are isomorphic as superalgebras. It is shown how these quantum superalgebras considered as Hopf superalgebras are connected via twists and isomorphisms. We explicitl…

We derive from the super RS algebra the Drinfeld basis of the twisted quantum affine superalgebra $U_q[osp(2|2)^{(2)}]$ by means of the Gauss decomposition technique. We explicitly construct a nonclassical level-one representation of $U_q[osp(2|2)^{(2)}]$ in terms of two $q$-deformed free boson fields.
Using super RS construction method and Gauss decomposition, we obtain Drinfeld's currents realization of two-parameter quantum affine superalgebra $U_{p,q}\widehat{(gl(1|1))}$ and get co-product structure for these currents.
The twisted Drinfeld double (or quasi-quantum double) of a finite group with a 3-cocycle is identified with a certain twisted groupoid algebra. The groupoid is the loop (or inertia) groupoid of the original group and the twisting is shown geometrically to be the loop transgression of the 3-cocycle. The twisted representation theory of finite groupoids is developed and used to derive properties of the Drinfeld double, such as representations being classified by their characters. This is all motivated by gerbes and 3-dimensional topological quantum field theory. In particular the representation …
We describe the realization of the super Reshetikhin-Semenov-Tian-Shansky (RS) algebra in quantum affine superalgebras, thus generalizing the approach of Frenkel-Reshetikhin to the supersymmetric (and twisted) case. The algebraic homomorphism between the super RS algebra and the Drinfeld current realization of quantum affine superalgebras is established by using the Gauss decomposition technique of Ding-Frenkel. As an application, we obtain Drinfeld realization of quantum affine superalgebra $U_q[osp(1|2)^{(1)}]$ and its degeneration -- central extended super Yangian double $DY_\hbar[osp(1|2)^…
By generalizing the Reshetikhin and Semenov-Tian-Shansky construction to supersymmetric cases, we obtain Drinfeld current realization for quantum affine superalgebra $U_q[gl(m|n)^{(1)}]$. We find a simple coproduct for the quantum current generators and establish the Hopf algebra structure of this super current algebra.
A new quantization of groupoids under the name of \times-Hopf coalgebras is introduced. We develop a Hopf cyclic theory with coefficients in stable-anti-Yetter-Drinfeld modules for \times-Hopf coalgebras. We use \times-Hopf coalgebras to study coextensions of coalgebras. Finally, equivariant \times-Hopf coalgebra Galois coextensions are defined and applied as functors between categories of stable anti-Yetter-Drinfeld modules over \times-Hopf coalgebras involved in the coextension.
Following V. Drinfeld and G. Olshansky, we construct Manin triples $(\fg, \fa, \fa^*)$ such that $\fg$ is different from Drinfeld's doubles of $\fa$ for several series of Lie superalgebras $\fa$ which have no even invariant bilinear form (periplectic, Poisson and contact) and for a remarkable exception. Straightforward superization of suitable Etingof--Kazhdan's results guarantee then the uniqueness of $q$-quantization of our Lie bialgebras. Our examples give solutions to the quantum Yang-Baxter equation in the cases when the classical YB equation has no solutions. To find explicit solutions i…
We study the Nichols algebra of a semisimple Yetter-Drinfeld module and introduce new invariants such as real roots. The crucial ingredient is a `reflection' in the class of such Nichols algebras. We conclude the classifications of finite-dimensional pointed Hopf algebras over S_3, and of finite-dimensional Nichols algebras over S_4. The revised version contains an extended introduction with references to recent applications, and a simplified definition of the Weyl groupoid of a semisimple Yetter-Drinfeld module. We provide a deformation, $\mathfrak{f}_β$, of Lusztig algebra $\mathbf{f}$. Various quantum algebras in literatures, including half parts of two-parameter quantum algebras, quantum superalgebras, and multi-parameter quantum algebras/superalgebras, are all specializations of $\mathfrak{f}_β$. Moreover, $\mathfrak{f}_β$ is isomorphic to Lusztig algebra $\mathbf{f}$ up to a twist. As a consequence, half parts of those quantum algebras are isomorphic to Lusztig algebra $\mathbf{f}$ over a big enough ground field up to certain twists. We further construct the entire algebra $\mathbf U_{β,ξ}$ by Dr…

In this paper, we give defining relations of the affine Lie superalgebras an and defining relations of a super-version of the Drinfeld[D]-Jimbo[J] affine quantized universal enveloping algebras. As a result, we can exactly define the affine quantized universal enveloping superalgebras with generators and relations. Moreover we give a Drinfeld's realizations of $U_h({\hat {sl}}(m|n)^{(1)})$.
We construct r-matrices for simple Lie superalgebras with non-degenerate Killing forms using Belavin-Drinfeld type triples. This construction gives us the standard r-matrices and some nonstandard ones.
The famous Drinfeld-Kohno theorem for simple Lie algebras states that the monodromy representation of the Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations for these Lie algebras expresses explicitly via R-matrices of the corresponding Drinfeld-Jimbo quantum groups. This result was generalized by the second author to simple Lie superalgebras of type A-G. In this paper, we generalize the Drinfeld-Kohno theorem to the case of the trigonometric Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations for simple Lie superalgebras of type A-G. The equations contain a classical r-matrix on the Lie superalgebra, and the answer expresses thr…
We construct two-parameter deformation of an universal enveloping algebra $U(g[u])$ of a polynomial loop algebra $g[u]$, where $g$ is a finite-dimensional complex simple Lie algebra (or superalgebra). This new quantum Hopf algebra called the Drinfeldian $D_{qη}(g)$ can be considered as a quantization of $U(g[u])$ in the direction of a classical r-matrix which is a sum of the simple rational and trigonometric r-matrices. The Drinfeldian $D_{qη}(g)$ contains $U_{q}(g)$ as a Hopf subalgebra, moreover $U_{q}(g[u])$ and $Y_η(g)$ are its limit quantum algebras when the $D_{qη}(g)$ deformation parame…
We revisit the derivation of Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations in the case of nonsemisimple categories of modules of a superalgebra in the case of the generic affne level and representations parameters. A proof of existence of asymptotic solutions and their properties for the superalgebra $gl(1|1)$ gives a basis for the proof of existence associator which satisfy braided tensor categories requirements. Braided tensor category structure of $U_h(gl(1|1))$ quantum algebra calculated, and the tensor product ring is shown to be isomorphic to $gl(1|1)$ ring, for the same generic relations between the…
We present a formal algebraic language to deal with quantum deformations of Lie-Rinehart algebras - or Lie algebroids, in a geometrical setting. In particular, extending the ice-breaking ideas introduced by Xu in [Ping Xu, "Quantum groupoids", Comm. Math. Phys. 216 (2001), 539-581], we provide suitable notions of "quantum groupoids". For these objects, we detail somewhat in depth the formalism of linear duality; this yields several fundamental antiequivalences among (the categories of) the two basic kinds of "quantum groupoids". On the other hand, we develop a suitable version of a "quantum du…
Let $(R^{\vee},R)$ be a dual pair of Hopf algebras in the category of Yetter-Drinfeld modules over a Hopf algebra $H$ with bijective antipode. We show that there is a braided monoidal isomorphism between rational left Yetter-Drinfeld modules over the bosonizations of $R$ and of $R^{\vee}$, respectively. As an application of this very general category isomorphism we obtain a natural proof of the existence of reflections of Nichols algebras of semisimple Yetter-Drinfeld modules over $H$. In this paper we use the Etingof-Kazhdan quantization of Lie bi-superalgebras to investigate some interesting questions related to Drinfeld-Jimbo type superalgebra associated to a Lie superalgebra of classical type. It has been shown that the D-J type superalgebra associated to a Lie superalgebra of type A-G, with the distinguished Cartan matrix, is isomorphic to the E-K quantization of the Lie superalgebra. The first main result in the present paper is to extend this to arbitrary Cartan matrices. This paper also contains two other main results: 1) a theorem stating that all highest weight mod…
We determine explicitly a rational even Drinfeld associator Q in a completion of the universal enveloping algebra of the Lie superalgebra gl(1|1)^3. More generally, we define a new algebra of trivalent diagrams that has a unique even horizontal group-like Drinfeld associator P. The associator P is mapped to Q by a weight system. As a result of independent interest, we show how O. Viro's generalization Delta^1 of the multi-variable Alexander polynomial can be obtained from the universal Vassiliev invariant of trivalent graphs. We determine P by using the invariant Delta^1(T) of a planar tetrahe…
Motivated by work of Kac and Lusztig, we define a root system and a Weyl groupoid for a large class of semisimple Yetter-Drinfeld modules over an arbitrary Hopf algebra. The obtained combinatorial structure fits perfectly into an existing framework of generalized root systems associated to a family of Cartan matrices, and provides novel insight into Nichols algebras. We demonstrate the power of our construction with new results on Nichols algebras over finite non-abelian simple groups and symmetric groups. Drinfeld twist is applied to the Lie algebra gl(2) so that a two-parametric deformation of it is obtained, which is identical to the Jordanian deformation of the gl(2) obtained by Aneva et al. The same twist element is applied to deform the Lie superalgebra sl(1/2), since the gl(2) is embedded into the sl(1/2). By making use of the FRT-formalism, we construct a deformation of the Lie supergroup $ SL(1/2). $
We show that some factors of the universal R-matrix generate a family of twistings for the standard Hopf structure of any quantized contragredient Lie (super)algebra of finite growth. As an application we prove that any two isomorphic superalgebras with different Cartan matrices have isomorphic q-deformations (as associative superalgebras) and their standard comultiplications are connected by such twisting. We present also an explicit relation between the generators of the second Drinfeld's realization and Cartan-Weyl generators of quantized affine nontwisted Kac-Moody algebras. Further develo…
We study graded right coideal subalgebras of Nichols algebras of semisimple Yetter-Drinfeld modules. Assuming that the Yetter-Drinfeld module admits all reflections and the Nichols algebra is decomposable, we construct an injective order preserving and order reflecting map between morphisms of the Weyl groupoid and graded right coideal subalgebras of the Nichols algebra. Here morphisms are ordered with respect to right Duflo order and right coideal subalgebras are ordered with respect to inclusion. If the Weyl groupoid is finite, then we prove that the Nichols algebra is decomposable and the a…
In this work, we study another characterization of Yetter-Drinfeld algebras over finite-dimensional Hopf algebras. We show the equivalence between this characterization, called the "only coaction" characterization, and the standard "action-coaction" characterization. This modern approach for Yetter-Drinfeld algebras is one of the key ingredient in a self-dual theory of quantum transformation groupoids arising from actions of quantum groups.
In this paper, we show that $\C{G}$-Frobenius algebras (for $\C{G}$ a finite groupoid) correspond to a particular class of Frobenius objects in the representation category of $D(k[\C{G}])$, where $D(k[\C{G}])$ is the Drinfeld double of the quantum groupoid $k[\C{G}]$.
In the present work, we study Yetter-Drinfeld algebras over a pairing of multiplier Hopf algebras. Our main motivation is the construction of a self-dual theory of (C*-)algebraic quantum transformation groupoids. Instead of the standard characterization of Yetter-Drinfeld algebras given in the case of Hopf algebras, we develop an equivalent "only coaction" characterization in the framework of multiplier Hopf algebras. Finally, as a special case, we focus on Yetter-Drinfeld structures over Van Daele's algebraic quantum groups.
Let Uq(g) be the quantum affine superalgebra associated with an affine Kac-Moody superalgebra g which belongs to the three series osp(1|2n)^(1),sl(1|2n)^(2) and osp(2|2n)^(2). We develop vertex operator constructions for the level 1 irreducible integrable highest weight representations and classify the finite dimensional irreducible representations of Uq(g). This makes essential use of the Drinfeld realisation for Uq(g), and quantum correspondences between affine Kac-Moody superalgebras, developed in earlier papers.
We introduce the notion of Hopf algebroids, in which neither the total algebras nor the base algebras are required to be commutative. We give a class of Hopf algebroids associated to module algebras of the Drinfeld doubles of Hopf algebras when the $R$-matrices act properly. When this construction is applied to quantum groups, we get examples of quantum groupoids, which are semi-classical limits of Poisson groupoids. The example of quantum $sl(2)$ is worked out in details.
For every semi-simple Lie algebra one can construct the Drinfeld-Jimbo algebra U. This algebra is a deformation Hopf algebra defined by generators and relations. To study the representation theory of U, Drinfeld used the KZ-equations to construct a quasi-Hopf algebra A. He proved that particular categories of modules over the algebras U and A are tensor equivalent. Analogous constructions of the algebras U and A exist in the case of Lie superalgebra of type A-G. However, Drinfeld's proof of the above equivalence of categories does not generalize to Lie superalgebras. In this paper, we will dis…
The Drinfeld twist is applyed to deforme the rank one orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra $osp(1|2)$. The twist element is the same as for the $sl(2)$ Lie algebra due to the embedding of the $sl(2)$ into the superalgebra $osp(1|2)$. The R-matrix has the direct sum structure in the irreducible representations of $osp(1|2)$. The dual quantum group is defined using the FRT-formalism. It includes the Jordanian quantum group $SL_ξ(2)$ as subalgebra and Grassmann generators as well.
We construct a new class of finite-dimensional C^*-quantum groupoids at roots of unity q=e^{iπ/\ell}, with limit the discrete dual of the classical SU(N) for large orders. The representation category of our groupoid turns out to be tensor equivalent to the well known quotient C^*-category of the category of tilting modules of the non-semisimple quantum group U_q({\mathfrak sl}_N) of Drinfeld, Jimbo and Lusztig. As an algebra, the C^*-groupoid is a quotient of U_q({\mathfrak sl}_N). As a coalgebra, it naturally reflects the categorical quotient construction. In particular, it is not coassociati…
In this work we investigate several important aspects of the structure theory of the recently introduced quasi-Hopf superalgebras (QHSAs), which play a fundamental role in knot theory and integrable systems. In particular we introduce the opposite structure and prove in detail (for the graded case) Drinfeld's result that the coproduct $Δ' \equiv (S\otimes S)\cdot T\cdot Δ\cdot S^{-1}$ induced on a QHSA is obtained from the coproduct $Δ$ by twisting. The corresponding ``Drinfeld twist'' $F_D$ is explicitly constructed, as well as its inverse, and we investigate the complete QHSA associated with…
We discuss two-parameter deformations of an universal enveloping algebra $U(g[u])$ of a polynomial loop algebra $g[u]$, where $g$ is a finite-dimensional complex simple Lie algebra (or superalgebra). These deformations are Hopf algebras. One deformation called Drinfeldian is a quantization of $U(g[u])$ in the direction of a classical r-matrix which is a sum of the simplest rational and trigonometric r-matrices. Another deformation (discussed only for the case $g=sl_{2}$) is a twisting of the usual Yangian $Y_η(sl_{2})$.
Take the matrix Lie superalgebra $gl_{N|N}$ with the standard generators $E_{ij}$ where $i,j=-N,...,-1,1,...,N$. Define an involutive automorphism of $gl_{N|N}$ by sending $E_{ij}$ to $E_{-i,-j}$. Then the corresponding twisted subalgebra $g$ in the polynomial current Lie superalgebra $gl_{N|N}[u]$, has a natural Lie co-superalgebra structure. Here we quantise the universal enveloping algebra $U(g)$ as a co-Poisson Hopf superalgebra. For the quantised algebra we give a description of the centre, and construct the double in the sense of Drinfeld. We also construct a class of irreducible represe…
We describe the Lie bialgebra structure on the Lie superalgebra sl(2,1) related to an r-matrix that cannot be obtained by a Belavin-Drinfeld type construction. This structure makes sl(2,1) into the Drinfeld double of a four-dimensional subalgebra.
Over fields of arbitrary characteristic we classify all braid-indecomposable tuples of at least two absolutely simple Yetter-Drinfeld modules over non-abelian groups such that the group is generated by the support of the tuple and the Nichols algebra of the tuple is finite-dimensional. Such tuples are classified in terms of analogs of Dynkin diagrams which encode much information about the Yetter-Drinfeld modules. We also compute the dimensions of these finite-dimensional Nichols algebras. Our proof uses the Weyl groupoid of a tuple of simple Yetter-Drinfeld modules.
The universal $R$-matrix of the quantum affine superalgebra associated to the Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{gl}(1,1)$ is realized as the Casimir element of certain Hopf pairing, based on the explicit coproduct formula of all the Drinfeld loop generators.
Yetter--Drinfel'd modules of diagonal type admit an equivalence relation which conjecturally preserves dimension and Gel'fand--Kirillov dimension of the corresponding Nichols algebras. This relation is determined explicitly for all rank 2 Yetter--Drinfeld modules where the Gel'fand--Kirillov dimension is known to be finite.
