We classify finite dimensional division real associative $\mathcal{Z}_2$-algebras, introduce composition $\mathcal{Z}_2$-algebras, and extend the Campbell-Baker-Hausdorff series and Lie correspondence in the context of linear Hu-Liu Leibniz algebras.
In 2014, Wolfgang Rump showed that there exists a correspondence between left nilpotent right R-braces and pre-Lie algebras. This correspondence, established using a geometric approach related to flat affine manifolds and affine torsors, works locally. In this paper we explain Rump's correspondence using only algebraic formulae. An algebraic interpretation of the correspondence works for fields of sufficiently large prime characteristic as well as for fields of characteristic zero.
In this paper a simple algebraic formula is obtained for the correspondence between finite right nilpotent Fp-braces and finite nilpotent pre-Lie algebras. This correspondence agrees with the correspondence using Lazard's correspondence between finite Fp-braces and pre-Lie algebras proposed by Wolfgang Rump in 2014. As an application example, a classification of all right nilpotent Fp-braces generated by one element of cardinality p^4 is obtained, answering a question posed by Leandro Vendramin. It is also shown that the sum of a finite number of left nilpotent ideals in a left brace is a left…

We introduce the notion of a generalized metric n-Leibniz algebra and show that there is a one-to-one correspondence between generalized metric n-Leibniz algebras and faithful generalized orthogonal representations of metric Lie algebras (called Lie triple data). We further show that there is also a one-to-one correspondence between generalized orthogonal derivations (resp. generalized orthogonal automorphisms) on generalized metric n-Leibniz algebras and Lie triple datas.
For a prime p and natural number n with p greater than or equal to n, we establish the existence of a non-functorial one-to-one correspondence between isomorphism classes of groups of order p^n whose derived subgroup has exponent dividing p, and isomorphism classes of nilpotent p^n-element Lie algebras L over the truncated polynomial ring F_p[T]/(T^n) in which T[L,L]=0.
Let g be a real form of a simple complex Lie algebra. Based on ideas of Djokovic and Vinberg, we describe an algorithm to compute representatives of the nilpotent orbits of g using the Kostant-Sekiguchi correspondence. Our algorithms are implemented for the computer algebra system GAP and, as an application, we have built a database of nilpotent orbits of all real forms of simple complex Lie algebras of rank at most 8. In addition, we consider two real forms g and g' of a complex simple Lie algebra g^c with Cartan decompositions g= k+p and g'=k'+p'. We describe an explicit construction of an i…
It is known that a multiloop Lie algebra, which constructed using multiloop realization, can be a Lie torus if the given multiloop Lie algebra satisfies several conditions, and it is also known that a family of extended affine Lie algebras (EALAs) are obtained from a Lie torus. In many cases, however, even if a given multiloop Lie algebra does not satisfy these conditions, we can also construct a family of EALAs from it. In this paper, we study this construction, and prove that two families of EALAs constructed from two multiloop Lie algebras coincide up to isomorphisms as EALAs if and only if…
In this paper, we introduce the notion of split extension of BiHom- Lie algebra and construct the corresponding cohomology. Also, we establish a one-to-one correspondence between the equivalence classes of extensions of a BiHom-Lie algebra L by an abelian BiHom-Lie algebra V and its second cohomology group.
Let M_n be the class of all multiloop algebras of finite dimensional simple Lie algebras relative to n-tuples of commuting finite order automorphisms. It is a classical result that M_1 is the class of all derived algebras modulo their centres of affine Kac-Moody Lie algebras. This combined with the Peterson-Kac conjugacy theorem for affine algebras results in a classification of the algebras in M_1. In this paper, we classify the algebras in M_2, and further determine the relationship between M_2 and two other classes of Lie algebras: the class of all loop algebras of affine Lie algebras and t…
In this paper, Lie bialgebra structures on the extended Schrodinger-Virasoro Lie algebra are classified. It is obtained that all the Lie bialgebra structures on L are triangular coboundary. As a by-product, it is derived that the first cohomology group is trivial.
We develop general results on centroids of Lie algebras and apply them to determine the centroid of extended affine Lie algebras, loop-like and Kac-Moody Lie algebras, and Lie algebras graded by finite root systems.
We construct irreducible modules for twisted toroidal Lie algebras and extended affine Lie algebras. This is done by combining the representation theory of untwisted toroidal algebras with the technique of thin coverings of modules. We illustrate our method with examples of extended affine Lie algebras of Clifford type.
We propose a new simplified definition of extended affine Lie algebras (EALAs for short), and also discuss a general version of extended affine Lie algebras, called locally extended affine Lie algebras (LEALAs for short). We prove a conjecture by V. Kac for LEALAs. It turns out that the root system of a LEALA becomes a locally finite version of extended affine root systems. Finally, several examples of new EALAs and LEALAs are introduced, and we classify LEALAs of nullity 0 with connection to locally finite split simple Lie algebras.
In this paper, we study the derivations, the central extensions and the automorphism group of the extended Schrodinger-Virasoro Lie algebra, introduced by J. Unterberger in the context of two-dimensional conformal field theory and statistical physics. Moreover, we show that the extended Schrodinger-Virasoro Lie algebra is an infinite-dimensional complete Lie algebra and the universal central extension of the extended Schrodinger-Virasoro Lie algebra in the category of Leibniz algebras is the same as that in the category of Lie algebras.
An important theorem in the theory of infinite dimensional Lie algebras states that any affine Kac-Moody algebra can be realized (that is to say constructed explicitly) using loop algebras. In this paper, we consider the corresponding problem for a class of Lie algebras called extended affine Lie algebras (EALAs) that generalize affine algebras. EALAs occur in families that are constructed from centreless Lie tori, so the realization problem for EALAs reduces to the realization problem for centreless Lie tori. We show that all but one family of centreless Lie tori can be realized using multilo…
Centreless Lie tori have been used by E. Neher to construct all extended affine Lie algebras (EALAs). In this article, we study notions of isotopes and isotopy for centreless Lie tori, and we use these notions, along with Neher's construction, to show that there is a 1-1 correspondence between centreless Lie tori up to isotopy and families of EALAs up to isomorphism. Also, centreless Lie tori can be coordinatized by unital algebras that are in general nonassociative, and, for many types of centreless Lie tori, there are classical notions of isotopes and isotopy for the coordinate algebras. We …
We characterise Lie groups with bi-invariant bargmannian, galilean or carrollian structures. Localising at the identity, we show that Lie algebras with ad-invariant bargmannian, carrollian or galilean structures are actually determined by the same data: a metric Lie algebra with a skew-symmetric derivation. This is the same data defining a one-dimensional double extension of the metric Lie algebra and, indeed, bargmannian Lie algebras coincide with such double extensions, containing carrollian Lie algebras as an ideal and projecting to galilean Lie algebras. This sets up a canonical correspond…
We establish results about the second cohomology with coefficients in the trivial module, symmetric invariant bilinear forms and derivations of a Lie algebra extended over a commutative associative algebra without unit. These results provide a simple unified approach to a number of questions treated earlier in completely separated ways: periodization of semisimple Lie algebras (Anna Larsson), derivation algebras, with prescribed semisimple part, of nilpotent Lie algebras (Benoist), and presentations of affine Kac-Moody algebras.
In this paper, first we introduce the notion of quadratic Rota-Baxter Lie algebras of arbitrary weight, and show that there is a one-to-one correspondence between factorizable Lie bialgebras and quadratic Rota-Baxter Lie algebras of nonzero weight. Then we introduce the notions of matched pairs, bialgebras and Manin triples of Rota-Baxter Lie algebras of arbitrary weight, and show that Rota-Baxter Lie bialgebras, Manin triples of Rota-Baxter Lie algebras and certain matched pairs of Rota-Baxter Lie algebras are equivalent. The coadjoint representations and quadratic Rota-Baxter Lie algebras pl…
We classify the nilpotent Lie rings of order $p^8$ with maximal class for $p \ge 5$. This also provides a classification of the groups of order $p^8$ with maximal class for $p \ge 11$ via the Lazard correspondence.
We study finite-dimensional nonassociative algebras. We prove the implicit function theorem for such algebras. This allows us to establish a correspondence between such algebras and quasigroups, in the spirit of classical correspondence between divisible torsion-free nilpotent groups and rational nilpotent Lie algebras. We study the related questions of the commensurators of nilpotent groups, filiform Lie algebras of maximal solvability length and partially ordered algebras.
We consider some special type extensions of an arbitrary Lie algebra, which we call universal extensions. We show that these extensions are in one-to-one correspondence with finite dimensional associative commutative algebras. We also construct a special kind of these extensions, that correspond to a finite commutative monoids.
We give an introduction to the structure theory of extended affine Lie algebras, which provide a common framework for finite-dimensional semisimple, affine and toroidal Lie algebras. The notes are based on a lecture series given during the Fields Institute summer school at the University of Ottawa in June 2009.
We give a detailed description of the torsors that correspond to multiloop algebras. These algebras are twisted forms of simple Lie algebras extended over Laurent polynomial rings. They play a crucial role in the construction of Extended Affine Lie Algebras (which are higher nullity analogues of the affine Kac-Moody Lie algebras). The torsor approach that we take draws heavily for the theory of reductive group schemes developed by M. Demazure and A. Grothendieck. It also allows us to find a bridge between multiloop algebras and the work of J. Tits on reductive groups over complete local fields…
