A Lie-admissible algebra gives by anticommutativity a Lie algebra. In this work we study remarkable classes of Lie-admissible algebras such as Vinberg, PreLie algebras. We compute the corresponding binary quadratic operads and study their Koszul duality. Considering Lie algebras as Lie-admissible algebras we can define for each Lie algebra a cohomology with values in a Lie-admissible module. This permits to study some deformations of Lie algebras in the category of Lie-admissible algebras. Lastly we study the tensor product between these operads and their dual operads. As application we construct new classes of Vinberg algebras.
In this paper, we introduce the definition of free product of operads, following the definition of a free product of algebras. There is a given method of finding the basis and dimension of the free product of operads. By anti-commutative operation, Lie-admissible algebra gives Lie algebra. We proved that Lie-admissible operad isomorphic to the free product of Lie and commutative(non-associative) operads.
The aim of this paper is to present remarkable classes of Lie-admissible algebras containing in particular the associative algebras, the Vinberg algebras and pre-Lie algebras. We determine the associated quadratic operads and their dual operads.

An operad is naturally endowed with a pre-Lie structure. We prove that as a pre-Lie algebra an operad is not free. The proof holds on defining a non-vanishing linear operation in the pre-Lie algebra which is zero in any operad.

The present article takes advantage of the properties of algebras in the category of S-modules (twisted algebras) to investigate further the fine algebraic structure of Hopf operads. We prove that any Hopf operad P carries naturally the structure of twisted Hopf P-algebra. Many properties of classical Hopf algebraic structures are then shown to be encapsulated in the twisted Hopf algebraic structure of the corresponding Hopf operad. In particular, various classical theorems of Lie theory relating Lie polynomials to words (i.e. elements of the tensor algebra) are lifted to arbitrary Hopf operad…
In this paper we study symmetric Leibniz and related algebras, namely symmetric dialgebras and symmetric Perm-algebras. We also calculate their Koszul duals, if not known. This will give us Lie-admissible algebras and new types of algebras, which we call commutative and associative admissible algebras. Finally we prove that all operads describing the considered algebras are Koszul.
The paper follows an operadic approach to provide a bialgebraic description of substitution for Lie-Butcher series. We first show how the well-known bialgebraic description for substitution in Butcher's $B$-series can be obtained from the pre-Lie operad. We then apply the same construction to the post-Lie operad to arrive at a bialgebra $\mathcal{Q}$. By considering a module over the post-Lie operad, we get a cointeraction between $\mathcal{Q}$ and the Hopf algebra $\mathcal{H}_N$ that describes composition for Lie-Butcher series. We use this coaction to describe substitution for Lie-Butcher s…
We study two closely related operads: the Gelfand-Dorfman operad GD and the Conformal Lie Operad CLie. The latter is the operad governing the Lie conformal algebra structure. We prove Koszulity of the Conformal Lie operad using the Groebner bases theory for operads and an operadic analogue of the Priddy criterion. An example of deformation of an operad coming from the Hom structures is considered. In particular we study possible deformations of the Associative operad from the point of view of the confluence property. Only one deformation, the operad which governs the identity $(α(ab))c=a(α(bc)…
A Pre-Lie algebra is a vector space L endowed with a bilinear product * : L \times L to L satisfying the relation (x*y)*z-x*(y*z)= (x*z)*y-x*(z*y), for all x,y,z in L. We give an explicit combinatorial description in terms of rooted trees of the operad associated to this type of algebras and prove that it is a Koszul operad.
There exists two types of nonassociative algebras whose associator satisfies a symmetric relation associated with a 1-dimensional invariant vector space with respect to the natural action of the symmetric group on three elements. The first one corresponds to the Lie-admissible algebras that we studied in a previous paper. Here we are interested by the second one corresponding to the third power associative algebras.
We construct HNN-extensions of Lie di-algebras in the variety of di-algebras and provide a presentation for the replicated HNN-extension of a Lie di-algebras. Then, by applying the method of Gröbner-Shirshov bases for replicated algebras, we obtain a linear basis. As an application of HNN-extensions, we prove that Lie di-algebras are embedded in their HNN-extension.
The pre-Lie operad can be realized as a space T of labelled rooted trees. A result of F. Chapoton shows that the pre-Lie operad is a free twisted Lie algebra. That is, the S-module T is obtained as the plethysm of the S-module Lie with an S-module F. In the context of species, we construct an explicit basis of F. This allows us to give a new proof of Chapoton's results. Moreover it permits us to show that F forms a sub nonsymmetric operad of the pre-Lie operad T.
An operad describes a category of algebras and a (co)homology theory for these algebras may be formulated using the homological algebra of operads. A morphism of operads $f:\mathcal{O}\rightarrow\mathcal{P}$ describes a functor allowing a $\mathcal{P}$-algebra to be viewed as an $\mathcal{O}$-algebra. We show that the $\mathcal{O}$-algebra (co)homology of a $\mathcal{P}$-algebra may be represented by a certain operadic comodule. Thus filtrations of this comodule result in spectral sequences computing the (co)homology. As a demonstration we study operads with a filtered distributive law; for th…
In this paper, we first define the pre-Lie family algebra associated to a dendriform family algebra in the case of a commutative semigroup. Then we construct a pre-Lie family algebra via typed decorated rooted trees, and we prove the freeness of this pre-Lie family algebra. We also construct pre-Lie family operad in terms of typed labeled rooted trees, and we obtain that the operad of pre-Lie family algebras is isomorphic to the operad of typed labeled rooted trees, which generalizes the result of F. Chapoton and M. Livernet. In the end, we construct Zinbiel and pre-Poisson family algebras and…
By the Three Graces we refer, following J.-L. Loday, to the algebraic operads Ass, Com, and Lie, each generated by a single binary operation; algebras over these operads are respectively associative, commutative associative, and Lie. We classify all distributive laws (in the categorical sense of Beck) between these three operads. Some of our results depend on the computer algebra system Maple, especially its packages LinearAlgebra and Groebner.
We present coalgebras of some classes of nonassociative algebras whose associator satisfies invariance conditions given by the action of the 3-order symmetric group. Amongst these algebras we find the well-known Vinberg algebras, the Pre-Lie algebras, the Lie-admissible algebras and the 3-power associative algebras. We study properties between these coalgebras and algebras which generalize the associative case.
We investigate the action of Schur algebra on the Lie algebras of derivations of free Lie algebras and operad structures constructed from it. We also show that the Lie algebra of derivations is generated by quadratic derivations together with the action of the Schur operad. Applications to certain subgroups of the automorphism group of a finitely generated free group are given as well.
The operad Lie can be constructed as the operad of primitives Prim As from the operad As of associative algebras. This is reflected by the theorems of Friedrichs, Poincare'-Birkhoff-Witt and Cartier-Milnor-Moore. We replace As by families of free operads P, which include the operad Mag freely generated by a noncommutative non-associative binary operation and the operad of Stasheff polytopes. We obtain Poincare'-Birkhoff-Witt type theorems and collect information about the operads Prim P, e.g. in terms of characteristic functions.

M. Boucetta introduced the notion of pseudo-Riemannian Lie algebra in [2] when he studied the line Poisson structure on the dual of a Lie algebra. In this paper, we redefine pseudo-Riemannian Lie algebra, which, in essence, is a class of new Lie admissible algebras and prove that all pseudo-Riemannian Lie algebras are solvable. Using our main result and method, we prove some of M. Boucetta's results in [2, 3] in a simple and new way, then we give an explicit construction of Riemann-Lie algebras and a classification of pseudo-Riemannian Lie algebras of dimension 2 and 3.
We study different algebraic structures associated to an operad and their relations: to any operad $\mathbf{P}$ is attached a bialgebra, the monoid of characters of this bialgebra, the underlying pre-Lie algebra and its enveloping algebra; all of them can be explicitely describedwith the help of the operadic composition. non-commutative versions are also given. We denote by $\mathbf{b\_\infty}$ the operad of $\mathbf{b\_\infty}$ algebras, describing all Hopf algebra structures on a symmetric coalgebra. If there exists an operad morphism from $\mathbf{b\_\infty}$ to $\mathbf{P}$, a pair $(A,B)$ o…
The aim of this paper is to generalize the concept of Lie-admissible coalgebra introduced by Goze and Remm to Hom-coalgebras and to introduce Hom-Hopf algebras with some properties. These structures are based on the Hom-algebra structures introduced by the authors.
We study diverse parametrized versions of the operad of associative algebra, where the parameter are taken in an associative semigroup $Ω$ (generalization of matching or family associative algebras) or in its cartesian square (two-parameters associative algebras). We give a description of the free algebras on these operads, study their formal series and prove that they are Koszul when the set of parameters is finite. We also study operadic morphisms between the operad of classical associative algebras and these objects, and links with other types of algebras (diassociative, dendriform, post-Li…
The purpose of this paper is to study Hom-Lie superalgebras, that is a superspace with a bracket for which the superJacobi identity is twisted by a homomorphism. This class is a particular case of $Γ$-graded quasi-Lie algebras introduced by Larsson and Silvestrov. In this paper, we characterize Hom-Lie admissible superalgebras and provide a construction theorem from which we derive a one parameter family of Hom-Lie superalgebras deforming the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra. Also, we prove a $\mathbb{Z}_2$-graded version of a Hartwig-Larsson-Silvestrov Theorem which leads us to a construction…
Let $G$ be a finite group. There is a standard theorem on the classification of $G$-equivariant finite dimensional simple commutative, associative, and Lie algebras (i.e., simple algebras of these types in the category of representations of $G$). Namely, such an algebra is of the form $A={\rm Fun}_H(G,B)$, where $H$ is a subgroup of $G$, and $B$ is a simple algebra of the corresponding type with an $H$-action. We explain that such a result holds in the generality of algebras over a linear operad. This allows one to extend Theorem 5.5 of arXiv:1506.07565 on the classification of simple commutat…
This paper provides a conceptual study of the twisting procedure, which amounts to create functorially new differential graded Lie algebras, associative algebras or operads (as well as their homotopy versions) from a Maurer--Cartan element. On the way, we settle the integration theory of complete pre-Lie algebras in order to describe this twisting procedure in terms of gauge group action. We give a criterion on quadratic operads for the existence of a meaningful twisting procedure of their associated categories of (homotopy) algebras. We also give a new presentation of the twisting procedure f…
In previous works by the authors, a bifunctor was associated to any operadic twisting morphism, taking a coalgebra over a cooperad and an algebra over an operad, and giving back the space of (graded) linear maps between them endowed with a homotopy Lie algebra structure. We build on this result by using a more general notion of $\infty$-morphism between (co)algebras over a (co)operad associated to a twisting morphism, and show that this bifunctor can be extended to take such $\infty$-morphisms in either one of its two slots. We also provide a counterexample proving that it cannot be coherently…
In this article, we mainly study the products of commutator ideals of Lie-admissible algebras such as Novikov algebras, bicommutative algebras, and assosymmetric algebras. More precisely, we first study the properties of the lower central chains for Novikov algebras and bicommutative algebras. Then we show that for every Lie nilpotent Novikov algebra or Lie nilpotent bicommutative algebra $\mathcal{A}$, the ideal of $\mathcal{A}$ generated by the set $\{ab - ba\mid a, b\in \mathcal{A}\}$ is nilpotent. Finally, we study properties of the lower central chains for assosymmetric algebras, study th…
The Deligne-Getzler-Hinich--$\infty$-groupoid or Maurer-Cartan simplicial set of an $L_\infty$-algebra plays an important role in deformation theory and many other areas of mathematics. Unfortunately, this construction only works over a field of characteristic $0$. The goal of this paper is to show that the notions of Maurer-Cartan equation and Maurer-Cartan simplicial set can be defined for a much larger number of operads than just the $L_\infty$-operad. More precisely, we show that the Koszul dual of every unital Hopf cooperad (a cooperad in the category of unital associative algebras) with …
We study Hom-type analogs of Rota-Baxter and dendriform algebras, called Rota-Baxter $G$-Hom-associative algebras and Hom-dendriform algebras. Several construction results are proved. Free algebras for these objects are explicitly constructed. Various functors between these categories, as well as an adjunction between the categories of Rota-Baxter Hom-associative algebras and of Hom-(tri)dendriform algebras, are constructed.
We prove that free pre-Lie algebras, when considered as Lie algebras, are free. Working in the category of S-modules, we define a natural filtration on the space of generators. We also relate the symmetric group action on generators with the structure of the anticyclic PreLie operad.
