Am. Math. Soc. 231.1 (1-46));arXiv:1308.0859] 已经表明,关于谱半径的分解可以扩展到 x 的一个邻域。我们证明,对于关于谱的分解,这一点同样成立。
英文摘要:
The primary objective of this paper is to generalize the results of [arXiv:2111.03548] to the case of quasi-smooth Berkovich curves by establishing a connection between the spectrum and the radii of convergence. To achieve this, we investigate the continuity and variation of the spectrum of a p-adic linear differential equation. Our findings demonstrate that the spectrum can be governed by any controlling graph of the radii of convergence. Furthermore, by analyzing the shape of the spectrum, we prove that approximating the connection enables an accurate estimation of spectral radii of convergence. As a result, we obtain a decomposition theorem with respect to the spectrum for differential equations defined over a quasi-smooth curve at a generic point x. This decomposition refines the one provided by the spectral radii of convergence. Previous works [Dwork, Robba (Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 231.1 (1-46)); arXiv:1308.0859] have shown that decomposition with respect to the spectral radii can be extended to a neighborhood of x. We prove that this can also hold for the decomposition with respect to the spectrum.
In this note we prove that for any given prime number $p$ the Morita $p$-adic gamma function $Γ_p$ is differentially transcendental over $\mathbb{C}_p(X)$.
The goal of this paper is to study certain p-adic differential operators on automorphic forms on U(n,n). These operators are a generalization to the higher-dimensional, vector-valued situation of the p-adic differential operators constructed for Hilbert modular forms by N. Katz. They are a generalization to the p-adic case of the C^{\infty}-differential operators first studied by H. Maass and later studied extensively by M. Harris and G. Shimura. The operators should be useful in the construction of certain p-adic L-functions attached to p-adic families of automorphic forms on the unitary grou…
For a $p$-adic differential equation solvable in an open disc (in a $p$-adic sense), around 1970, Dwork proves that the solutions satisfy a certain growth condition on the boundary. Dwork also conjectures that a similar phenomenon should be observed without assuming the solvability. In this paper, we verify Dwork's conjecture in the rank two case, which is the first non-trivial result on the conjecture. The proof is an application of Kedlaya's decomposition theorem of $p$-adic differential equations defined over annulus.
We obtain an algorithm computing explicitly the values of the non solvable spectral radii of convergence of the solutions of a differential module over a point of type 2, 3 or 4 of the Berkovich affine line.
We provide a necessary and sufficient condition for the solvability of a rank one differential (resp. $q$-difference) equation over the Amice's ring. We also extend to that ring a Birkoff decomposition result, originally due to Motzkin.
We study the asymptotic behavior of solutions of Frobenius equations defined over the ring of overconvergent series. As an application, we prove Chiarellotto-Tsuzuki's conjecture on the rationality and right continuity of Dwork's logarithmic growth filtrations associated to ordinary linear $p$-adic differential equations with Frobenius structures.
In this paper, we prove a `cut-by-curves criterion' for the overconvergence of integrable connections on certain rigid analytic spaces and certain varieties over $p$-adic fields.
We relate $p$-adic families of Jacobi forms to Big Heegner points constructed by B. Howard, in the spirit of the Gross-Kohnen-Zagier theorem. We view this as a GL(2) instance of a $p$-adic Kudla program.
For an operator-differential equation of the form $y^{(m)}(z) = Ay(z)$, where $A$ is a closed linear operator on a Banach space over the the field of $p$-adic numbers, the necessary and sufficient conditions on initial data for the Cauchy problem to be well-posed in the class of locally analytic vector-valued functions are given. The result is illustrated by $p$-adic partial differential equations.
We prove that the radii of convergence of the solutions of a $p$-adic differential equation $\mathcal{F}$ over an affinoid domain $X$ of the Berkovich affine line are continuous functions on $X$ that factorize through the retraction of $X\toΓ$ of $X$ onto a finite graph $Γ\subseteq X$. We also prove their super-harmonicity properties. Roughly speaking, this finiteness result means that the behavior of the radii as functions on $X$ is controlled by a finite family of data.
In this paper, we answer a question due to Y. André related to B. Dwork's conjecture on a specialization of the logarithmic growth of solutions of $p$-adic linear differential equations. Precisely speaking, we explicitly construct a $\nabla$-module $M$ over $\mathbb{Q}_p[[X]]_0$ of rank 2 such that the left endpoint of the special log-growth Newton polygon of $M$ is strictly above the left endpoint of the generic log-growth Newton polygon of $M$.
We show that if a differential equations $\mathscr{F}$ over a quasi-smooth Berkovich curve $X$ has a certain compatibility condition with respect to an automorphism $σ$ of $X$, and if the automorphism is sufficiently close to the identity, then $\mathscr{F}$ acquires a semi-linear action of $σ$ (i.e. lifting that on $X$). This generalizes the previous works of Yves André, Lucia Di Vizio, and the author about $p$-adic $q$-difference equations. We also obtain an application to Morita's $p$-adic Gamma function, and to related values of $p$-adic $L$-functions.
For the Cauchy problem for an operator differential equation of the form $y'(z) = Ay(z)$, where $A$ is a closed linear operator on a Banach space over the completion of an algebraic closure of the field of $p$-adic numbers, a criterion of correct solvability in the class of locally analytic vector-functions is established. It is shown how the Cauchy-Kovalevskaya theorem for $p$-adic partial differential equations may be obtained as a particular case from this criterion.
Study of stochastic differential equations on the field of p-adic numbers was initiated by the second author and has been developed by the first author, who proved several results for the p-adic case, similar to the theory of ordinary stochastic integral with respect to Levy processes on the Euclidean spaces. In this article, we present an improved definition of a stochastic integral on the field and prove the joint (time and space) continuity of the local time for p-adic stable processes. Then we use the method of random time change to obtain sufficient conditions for the existence of a weak …
Laurent Berger attached a p-adic differential equation N_rig(M) with a Frobenius structure to an arbitrary de Rham (phi, Gamma)-module over a Robba ring. In this article, we compare the local epsilon conjecture for the cyclotomic deformation of M with that of N_rig(M). We first define an isomorphism between the fundamental lines of their cyclotomic deformations using the second author's results on the big exponential map. As a main result of the article, we show that this isomorphism enables us to reduce the local epsilon conjecture for the cyclotomic deformation of M to that of N_rig(M).
This primarily expository article collects together some facts from the literature about the monodromy of differential equations on a p-adic (rigid analytic) annulus, though often with simpler proofs. These include Matsuda's classification of quasi-unipotent nabla-modules, the Christol-Mebkhout construction of the ramification filtration, and the Christol-Dwork Frobenius antecedent theorem. We also briefly discuss the p-adic local monodromy theorem without proof.
Using a local construction from a previous paper, we exhibit a numerical invariant, the differential Swan conductor, for an isocrystal on a variety over a perfect field of positive characteristic overconvergent along a boundary divisor; this leads to an analogous construction for certain p-adic and l-adic representations of the etale fundamental group of a variety. We then demonstrate some variational properties of this definition for overconvergent isocrystals, paying special attention to the case of surfaces.
We study the radius of convergence of a differential equation on a smooth Berkovich curve over a non-archimedean complete valued field of characteristic 0. Several properties of this function are known: F. Baldassarri proved that it is continuous and the authors showed that it factorizes by the retraction through a locally finite graph. Here, assuming that the curve has no boundary or that the differential equation is overconvergent, we provide a shorter proof of both results by using potential theory on Berkovich curves.
Let K be a complete discretely valued field of mixed characteristic (0, p) with possibly imperfect residue field. We prove a Hasse-Arf theorem for the arithmetic ramification filtrations on G_K, except possibly in the absolutely unramified and non-logarithmic case, or p=2 and logarithmic case. As an application, we obtain a Hasse-Arf theorem for filtrations on finite flat group schemes over O_K.
This is an introduction to $p$-adic geometry and $p$-adic analysis focusing on the theme of $p$-adic period mappings. We follow as closely as possible the development of the classical theory of complex period mappings, blending differential equations, group theory and geometry. The text ends with a detailed discussion of $p$-adic triangle groups.
We define a numerical invariant, the differential Swan conductor, for certain differential modules on a rigid analytic annulus over a p-adic field. This gives a definition of a conductor for p-adic Galois representations with finite local monodromy over an equal characteristic discretely valued field, which agrees with the usual Swan conductor when the residue field is perfect. We also establish analogues of some key properties of the usual Swan conductor, such as integrality (the Hasse-Arf theorem), and the fact that the graded pieces of the associated ramification filtration on Galois groups…
Dwork's conjecture, now proven by Wan, states that unit root L-functions "coming from geometry" are p-adic meromorphic. In this paper we study the p-adic variation of a family of unit root L-functions coming from a suitable family of toric exponential sums. In this setting, we find that the unit root L-functions each have a unique p-adic unit root. We then study the variation of this unit root over the family of unit root L-functions. Surprisingly, we find that this unit root behaves similarly to the classical case of families of exponential sums. That is, the unit root is essentially a ratio …
Given a differential equation on a smooth $p$-adic analytic curve, one may construct a new one by pushing forward by an étale morphism. The main result of the paper provides an explicit formula that relates the radii of convergence of the solutions of the two differential equations using invariants coming from the topological behavior of the morphism. We recover as particular cases the known formulas for Frobenius morphisms and tame morphisms. As an application, we show that the radii of convergence of the pushforward of the trivial differential equation at a point coincide with the upper rami…
We develop the theory of $p$-adic confluence of $q$-difference equations. The main result is the surprising fact that, in the $p$-adic framework, a function is solution of a differential equation if and only if it is solution of a $q$-difference equation. This fact implies an equivalence, called ``Confluence'', between the category of differential equations and those of $q$-difference equations. We obtain this result by introducing a category of ``sheaves'' on the disk $\mathrm{D}^-(1,1)$, whose stalk at 1 is a differential equation, the stalk at $q$ is a $q$-difference equation if $q$ is not …
Let $k$ be a complete discretely valued field of equal characteristic $p > 0$ with possibly imperfect residue field and let $G_k$ be its Galois group. We prove that the conductors computed by the arithmetic ramification filtrations on $G_k$ coincide with the differential Artin conductors and Swan conductors of Galois representations of $G_k$. As a consequence, we give a Hasse-Arf theorem for arithmetic ramification filtrations in this case. As applications, we obtain a Hasse-Arf theorem for finite flat group schemes; we also give a comparison theorem between the differential Artin conductors a…
We study the $p$-adic variation of triangulations over $p$-adic families of $(φ,Γ)$-modules. In particular, we study certain canonical sub-filtrations of the pointwise triangulations and show that they extend to affinoid neighborhoods of crystalline points. This generalizes results of Kedlaya, Pottharst and Xiao and (independently) Liu in the case where one expects the entire triangulation to extend. As an application, we study the ramification of weight parameters over natural $p$-adic families.
In this paper, we focus on a family of generalized Kloosterman sums over the torus. With a few changes to Haessig and Sperber's construction, we derive some relative $p$-adic cohomologies corresponding to the $L$-functions. We present explicit forms of bases of top dimensional cohomology spaces, so to obtain a concrete method to compute lower bounds of Newton polygons of the $L$-functions. Using the theory of GKZ system, we derive the Dwork's deformation equation for our family. Furthermore, with the help of Dwork's dual theory and deformation theory, the strong Frobenius structure of this equ…
We consider variational properties of some numerical invariants, measuring convergence of local horizontal sections, associated to differential modules on polyannuli over a nonarchimedean field of characteristic zero. This extends prior work in the one-dimensional case of Christol, Dwork, Robba, Young, et al. Our results do not require positive residue characteristic; thus besides their relevance to the study of Swan conductors for isocrystals, they are germane to the formal classification of flat meromorphic connections on complex manifolds.
In this paper, we prove an "explicit reciprocity law" relating Howard's system of big Heegner points to a two-variable $p$-adic $L$-function (constructed here) interpolating the $p$-adic Rankin $L$-series of Bertolini-Darmon-Prasanna in Hida families. As applications, we obtain a direct relation between classical Heegner cycles and the higher weight specializations of big Heegner points, refining earlier work of the author, and prove the vanishing of Selmer groups of CM elliptic curves twisted by 2-dimensional Artin representations in cases predicted by the equivariant Birch and Swinnerton-Dye…
In this paper, we study finite projective differential modules on $p$-adic polyannuli satisfying the Robba condition. Christol and Mebkhout proved the decomposition theorem (the $p$-adic Fuchs theorem) of such differential modules on one dimensional $p$-adic annuli under certain non-Liouvilleness assumption and Gachet generalized it to higher dimensional cases. On the other hand, Kedlaya proved a generalization of the $p$-adic Fuchs theorem in one dimensional case. We prove Kedlaya's generalized version of $p$-adic Fuchs theorem in higher dimensional cases.
We study the variation of the convergence Newton polygon of a differential equation along a smooth Berkovich curve over a non-archimedean complete valued field of characteristic 0. Relying on work of the second author who investigated its properties on affinoid domains of the affine line, we prove that its slopes give rise to continuous functions that factorize by the retraction through a locally finite subgraph of the curve.
In earlier papers (A. N. Kochubei, Pacif. J. Math., 269 (2014), 355-369; J. Math. Anal. Appl.483 (2020), Article 123609), one of the authors developed a theory of pseudo-differential equations for radial real-valued functions on a non-Archimedean local field, with some features resembling those of classical ordinary differential equations. Here we consider equations of this kind, but with a weak degeneration. Under various assumptions, we prove the local existence and uniqueness of mild solutions, existence of their global extensions and a regularity property.
In this paper we prove a comparison theorem between the category of certain modules with integrable connection on the complement of a normal crossing divisor of the generic fiber of a proper semistable variety over a DVR and the category of certain log overconvergent isocystrals on the special fiber of the same open.
This paper is a complement to the paper "On $p$-adic differential equations on semistable varieties" written by V. Di Proietto. Given an open variety over a DVR with semistable reduction, the author constructed in that paper a fully faithful algebraization functor from the category of certain log overconvergent isocrystals on the special fiber to the category of modules with regular integrable connection on the generic fiber. In this paper, we prove that, with convenable hypothesis, this functor is a tensor functor whose essential image is closed under extensions and subquotients. As a consequ…
We will discuss $\infty$-categorical perverse $p$-adic differential equations over stacks. On one hand, we are going to study some $p$-adic analogous results of the Drinfeld's original lemma about the étale fundamental groups in the étale setting, in the context of $F$-isocrystals closely after Kedlaya and Kedlaya-Xu. We expect similar things could also be considered for diamonds after Scholze, in the context of Kedlaya-Liu's work namely the derived category of pseudocoherent Frobenius sheaves, which will induce some categorical form of Drinfeld's lemma for diamonds motivated by work of Carter…
Let $(k,|\cdot|)$ be a complete and algebraically closed valued field extension of $(\mathbb{Q}_p,|\cdot|_p)$. Given a finite morphism $φ:\mathscr{D}_1\to \mathscr{D}_2$ of unit discs over $k$, a differential module $(M,D)$ on $\mathscr{D}_1$ and a point $b\in \mathscr{D}_2(k)$, we construct explicitly an optimal basis of space of horizontal elements for the direct image $φ_*(M,D)$ at $b$ in terms of the suitable chosen optimal bases of $(M,D)$ at preimages of $b$ by $φ$ and ramification properties of the morphism.
This paper deals with connections on $p$-adic analytic curves, in the sense of Berkovich. The curves must be compact but the connections are allowed to have a finite number of meromorphic singularities on them. For any choice of a semistable formal model of the curve, we define an intrinsic notion of normalized radius of convergence as a function on the curve, with values in $(0,1]$. For a sufficiently refined choice of the semistable model, we prove continuity and logarithmic concavity of that function. We characterize \emph{Robba connections}, that is connections whose sheaf of solutions is …
We wish to use graded structures [KrVu87], [Vu01] on dffierential operators and quasimodular forms on classical groups and show that these structures provide a tool to construct p-adic measures and p-adic L-functions on the corresponding non-archimedean weight spaces. An approach to constructions of automorphic L-functions on uni-tary groups and their p-adic avatars is presented. For an algebraic group G over a number eld K these L functions are certain Euler products L(s, $π$, r, $χ$). In particular, our constructions cover the L-functions in [Shi00] via the doubling method of Piatetski-Shapi…
Let $K$ be a local field, $X$ the Drinfel'd symmetric space $X$ of dimension $d$ over $K$ and ${\mathfrak X}$ the natural formal ${\mathcal O}_K$-scheme underlying $X$; thus $G={\rm GL}\sb {d+1}(K)$ acts on $X$ and ${\mathfrak X}$. Given a $K$-rational $G$-representation $M$ we construct a $G$-equivariant subsheaf ${\mathcal M}^0_{{\mathcal O}_{\dot{K}}}$ of ${\mathcal O}_K$-lattices in the constant sheaf $M$ on ${\mathfrak X}$. We study the cohomology of sheaves of logarithmic differential forms on $X$ (or ${\mathfrak X}$) with coefficients in ${\mathcal M}^0_{{\mathcal O}_{\dot{K}}}$. In the…
Given a Weil-Deligne representation with coefficients in a domain, we prove the rigidity of the structures of the Frobenius-semisimplifications of the Weyl modules associated to its pure specializations. Moreover, we show that the structures of the Frobenius-semisimplifications of the Weyl modules attached to a collection of pure representations are rigid if these pure representations lift to Weil-Deligne representations over domains containing a domain $\mathscr{O}$ and a pseudorepresentation over $\mathscr{O}$ parametrizes the traces of these lifts.
Let $\mathcal{M}$ be a differential module, whose coefficients are analytic elements on an open annulus $I$ ($\subset \bR_{>0}$) in a valued field, complete and algebraically closed of inequal characteristic, and let $R(\mathcal{M}, r)$ be the radius of convergence of its solutions in the neighbourhood of the generic point $t_r$ of absolute value $r$, with $r\in I$. Assume that $R(\mathcal{M}, r)<r$ on $I$ and, in the logarithmic coordinates, the function $r\longrightarrow R(\ mathcal{M}, r)$ has only one slope on $I$. In this paper, we prove that for any $r\in I$, all the solutions of $\mathc…
A formalism of arithmetic partial differential equations (PDEs) is being developed in which one considers several arithmetic differentiations at one fixed prime. In this theory solutions can be defined in algebraically closed p-adic fields. As an application we show that for at least two arithmetic directions every elliptic curve possesses a non-zero arithmetic PDE Manin map of order 1; such maps do not exist in the arithmetic ODE case. Similarly we construct and study "genuinely PDE" differential modular forms. As further applications we derive a Theorem of the Kernel and a Reciprocity Theore…
In the 1970's, Serre exploited congruences between $q$-expansion coefficients of Eisenstein series to produce $p$-adic families of Eisenstein series and, in turn, $p$-adic zeta functions. Partly through integration with more recent machinery, including Katz's approach to $p$-adic differential operators, his strategy has influenced four decades of developments. Prior papers employing Katz's and Serre's ideas exploiting differential operators and congruences to produce families of automorphic forms rely crucially on $q$-expansions of automorphic forms. The overarching goal of the present paper i…
We establish a generalization of the p-adic local monodromy theorem (of Andre, Mebkhout, and the author) in which differential equations on rigid analytic annuli are replaced by differential equations on so-called fake annuli. The latter correspond loosely to completions of a Laurent polynomial ring with respect to a monomial valuation. The result represents a step towards a higher-dimensional version of the p-adic local monodromy theorem (the "problem of semistable reduction"); it can also be viewed as a slightly novel presentation of the original p-adic local monodromy theorem.
Using the differential precision methods developed previously by the same authors, we study the p-adic stability of standard operations on matrices and vector spaces. We demonstrate that lattice-based methods surpass naive methods in many applications, such as matrix multiplication and sums and intersections of subspaces. We also analyze determinants , characteristic polynomials and LU factorization using these differential methods. We supplement our observations with numerical experiments.
In 1900, at the international congress of mathematicians, Hilbert claimed that the Riemann zeta function $ζ(s)$ is not the solution of any algebraic ordinary differential equations on its region of analyticity. In 2015, Van Gorder considered the question of whether $ζ(s)$ satisfies a non-algebraic differential equation and showed that it formally satisfies an infinite order linear differential equation. Recently, Prado and Klinger-Logan extended Van Gorder's result to show that the Hurwitz zeta function $ζ(s,a)$ is also formally satisfies a similar differential equation \begin{equation*}\label…
This paper is a continuation of the author's previous work, where we studied the variation of the number of isomorphic classes of $G_{\mathbb{Q}}$-stable lattices in p-adic families of residually reducible ordinary Galois representations. In this paper, we study the number of isomorphic classes of $G_{\mathbb{Q}}$-stable free lattices in a residually reducible Hida deformation and the variation of their related two-variable algebraic $p$-adic $L$-functions. This result gives an answer of a question asked by Ochiai.
Ardakov-Wadsley defined the sheaf D-cap of $p$-adic analytic differential operators on a smooth rigid analytic variety $X$ by restricting to the case where $X$ is affinoid and the tangent sheaf admits a smooth Lie lattice. We generalize their results by dropping the assumption of a smooth Lie lattice throughout, which allows us to describe the sections of D-cap for arbitrary affinoid subdomains and not just on a suitable base of the topology. The structural results concerning D-cap and coadmissible D-cap-modules can then be generalized in a natural way. The main ingredient for our proofs is a …
We consider a vector bundle with integrable connection (\cE,\na) on an analytic domain U in the generic fiber \cX_η of a smooth formal p-adic scheme \cX, in the sense of Berkovich. We define the \emph{diameter} δ_{\cX}(ξ,U) of U at ξ\in U, the \emph{radius} ρ_{\cX}(ξ) of the point ξ\in\cX_η, the \emph{radius of convergence} of solutions of (\cE,\na) at ξ, R(ξ) = R_{\cX}(ξ, U,(\cE, \na)). We discuss (semi-) continuity of these functions with respect to the Berkovich topology. In particular, under we prove under certain assumptions that δ_{\cX}(ξ,U), ρ_{\cX}(ξ) and R_ξ(U,\cE,\na) are upper semic…
This paper works out the structure of singular points of p-adic differential equations (i.e. differential modules over the ring of functions analytic in some annulus with external radius 1). Surprisingly results look like in the formal case (differential modules over a one variable power series field) but proofs are much more involved. However, unlike in the Turritin theorem, even after ramification, in the p-adic theory there are irreducible objects of rank >1. The first part is devoted to the definition of p-adic slopes and to a decomposition along p-adic slopes theorem. The case of slope 0 …
