In this paper we investigate central congruence of left quasigroups in the sense of Freese and McKenzie \cite{comm} and we extend some known results for quandles. In particular, we can extend the characterization of finite nilpotent latin quandles and the characterization of distributive varieties of quandles to the setting of idempotent left quasigroups.
We study finite-dimensional nonassociative algebras. We prove the implicit function theorem for such algebras. This allows us to establish a correspondence between such algebras and quasigroups, in the spirit of classical correspondence between divisible torsion-free nilpotent groups and rational nilpotent Lie algebras. We study the related questions of the commensurators of nilpotent groups, filiform Lie algebras of maximal solvability length and partially ordered algebras.
In this paper we investigate the class of semimedial left quasigroups, a class that properly contains racks and medial left quasigroups. We extend most of the results about commutator theory for racks collected in \cite{CP} and some of the results concerning Malt'sev conditions for quandles collected in \cite{Maltsev_paper} to the class of semimedial left quasigroups.
It is proved that any left F-quasigroup is isomorphic to the direct product of a left F-quasigroup with a unique idempotent element and isotope of a special form of a left distributive quasigroup. The similar theorems are proved for right F-quasigroups, left and right SM- and E-quasigroups. Information on simple quasigroups from these quasigroup classes is given, for example, finite simple F-quasigroup is a simple group or a simple medial quasigroup. It is proved that any left F-quasigroup is isotopic to the direct product of a group and a left S-loop. Some properties of loop isotopes of F-qua…
In this paper we investigate some Mal'cev classes of varieties of left-quasigroups. We prove that the weakest Mal'cev condition for a variety of left-quasigroup is having a Mal'cev term. Then we specialize to the setting of quandles for which we prove that the meet semidistributive varieties are those which have no finite models.
This paper introduced the concept of soft quasigroup, its parastrophes, soft nuclei, left (right) coset, distributive soft quasigroups and normal soft quasigroups. Necessary and sufficient conditions for a soft set over a quasigroup (loop) to be a soft quasigroup (loop) were established. It was proved that a soft set over a group is a soft group if and only if it is a soft loop or either of two of its parastrophes is a soft groupoid. For a finite quasigroup, it was shown that the orders (arithmetic and geometric means) of the soft quasigroup over it and its parastrophes are equal. It was also …
In this paper we study the classes of superconnected and superfaithful left quasigroups, that are relevant in the study of Mal'cev varieties of left quasigroups \cite{Maltsev_paper}. Then we focus on quandles and in particular to the involutory ones. We extend the main result of \cite{involutive_quandles_russo} to the infinite case and we offer a characterization of several classes of involutory quandles in terms of the properties of the canonical generators of the displacement group, improving the main results of \cite{Nobu}.
Necessary and sufficient conditions of orthogonality of left (right) linear (alinear) quasigroups in various combinations are given. As corollary we obtain conditions of parastroph orthogonality of left (right) linear (alinear) quasigroups. Any linear (alinear) quasigroup over the symmetric group S_n ($n\neq 2; 6$) is not orthogonal to its (12)-parastrophe.
In this article smashed products of topological left quasigroups are scrutinized. Quotients of topological fan quasigroups are investigated. Skew smashed products of fan quasigroups and their structure also are studied.
We prolong Kunen research about existence of units (left, right, two-sided) in quasigroups with classical Bol-Moufang type identities. These identities were listed in Fenvesh article.
Idempotent left nondegenerate solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation are in one-to-one correspondence with twisted Ward left quasigroups, which are left quasigroups satisfying the identity $(x*y)*(x*z)=(y*y)*(y*z)$. Using combinatorial properties of the Cayley kernel and the squaring mapping, we prove that a twisted Ward left quasigroup of prime order is either permutational or a quasigroup. Up to isomorphism, all twisted Ward quasigroups $(X,*)$ are obtained by twisting the left division operation in groups (that is, they are of the form $x*y=ψ(x^{-1}y)$ for a group $(X,\cdot)$ and its automor…
We study P-groupoids that arise from certain decompositions of complete graphs. We show that left distributive P-groupoids are distributive, quasigroups. We characterize P-groupoids when the corresponding decomposition is a Hamiltonian decomposition for complete graphs of odd, prime order. We also study a specific example of a P-quasigroup constructed from cyclic groups of odd order. We show such P-quasigroups have characteristic left and right multiplication groups, as well as the right multiplication group is isomorphic to the dihedral group.
For any odd prime $p$, we give an example of a locally finite $p$-group $G$ containing a left 3-Engel element $x$ where $\langle x \rangle^G$ is not nilpotent.
We study non-degenerate involutive set-theoretic solutions (X,r) of the Yang-Baxter equation, we call them simply solutions. We show that the structure group G(X,r) of a finite non-trivial solution (X,r) cannot be an Engel group. It is known that the structure group G(X,r) of a finite multipermutation solution (X,r) is a poly-Z group, thus our result gives a rich source of examples of braided groups and left braces G(X,r) which are poly-Z groups but not Engel groups. We also show that a finite solution of the Yang-Baxter equation can be embedded in a convenient way into a finite brace and into…
We prove that a non-affine latin quandle (also known as left distributive quasigroup) of order $2^k$ exists if and only if $k = 6$ or $k \geq 8$. The construction is expressed in terms of central extensions of affine quandles.
The congruence subgroup problem for a finitely generated group $Γ$ and $G\leq Aut(Γ)$ asks whether the map $\hat{G}\to Aut(\hatΓ)$ is injective, or more generally, what is its kernel $C\left(G,Γ\right)$? Here $\hat{X}$ denotes the profinite completion of $X$. In the case $G=Aut(Γ)$ we denote $C\left(Γ\right)=C\left(Aut(Γ),Γ\right)$. Let $Γ$ be a finitely generated group, $\barΓ=Γ/[Γ,Γ]$, and $Γ^{*}=\barΓ/tor(\barΓ)\cong\mathbb{Z}^{(d)}$. Denote $Aut^{*}(Γ)=\textrm{Im}(Aut(Γ)\to Aut(Γ^{*}))\leq GL_{d}(\mathbb{Z})$. In this paper we show that when $Γ$ is nilpotent, there is a canonical isomorphi…
In this paper we prove a group theoretic analogue of the well known local nilpotence theorem for sandwich Lie algebras due to Kostrikin and Zel'manov. We introduce the notion of a strong left 3-Engel element of a group G and show that these are always in the locally nilpotent radical of G. This generalises a previous result of Jabara and Traustason that showed that a left 3-Engel element a of a group G is in the locally nilpotent radical of G whenever a is of odd order.
We investigate the multiplication group of a special class of quasigroup called AG-group. We prove some interesting results such as: the multiplication group of an AG-group of order n is non-abelian group of order 2n and its left section is an abelian group of order n. The inner mapping group of an AG-group of any order is a cyclic group of order 2.
We study series of left ideals of skew left braces that are analogs of upper central series of groups. These concepts allow us to define left and right nilpotent skew left braces. Several results related to these concepts are proved and applications to infinite left braces are given. Indecomposable solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation are explored using the structure of skew left braces.
We prove a few basic facts about the space of bi-invariant (or left-invariant) total order relations on a torsion-free, nonabelian, nilpotent group G. For instance, we show that the space of bi-invariant orders has no isolated points (so it is a Cantor set if G is countable), and give examples to show that the outer automorphism group of G does not always act faithfully on this space. Also, it is not difficult to see that the abstract commensurator group of G has a natural action on the space of left-invariant orders, and we show that this action is faithful. These results are related to recen…
In this paper a simple algebraic formula is obtained for the correspondence between finite right nilpotent Fp-braces and finite nilpotent pre-Lie algebras. This correspondence agrees with the correspondence using Lazard's correspondence between finite Fp-braces and pre-Lie algebras proposed by Wolfgang Rump in 2014. As an application example, a classification of all right nilpotent Fp-braces generated by one element of cardinality p^4 is obtained, answering a question posed by Leandro Vendramin. It is also shown that the sum of a finite number of left nilpotent ideals in a left brace is a left…
Suppose $G$ is a countable, not necessarily finitely generated, group. We show $G$ admits a proper, left-invariant metric $d_G$ such that the Assouad-Nagata dimension of $(G,d_G)$ is infinite, provided the center of $G$ is not locally finite. As a corollary we solve two problems of A.Dranishnikov.
