We present a perturbative construction of two kinds of eigenfunctions of the commuting family of difference operators defining the elliptic Ruijsenaars system. The first kind corresponds to elliptic deformations of the Macdonald polynomials, and the second kind generalizes asymptotically free eigenfunctions previously constructed in the trigonometric case. We obtain these eigenfunctions as infinite series which, as we show, converge in suitable domains of the variables and parameters. Our results imply that, for the domain where the elliptic Ruijsenaars operators define a relativistic quantum mechanical system, the elliptic deformations of the Macdonald polynomials provide a family of orthogonal functions with respect to the pertinent scalar product.
We demonstrate that the symmetric elliptic polynomials $E_λ(x)$ originally discovered in the study of generalized Noumi-Shiraishi functions are eigenfunctions of the elliptic Ruijsenaars-Schneider (eRS) Hamiltonians that act on the mother function variable $y_i$ (substitute of the Young-diagram variable $λ$). This means they are eigenfunctions of the dual eRS system. At the same time, their orthogonal complements in the Schur scalar product, $P_R(x)$ are eigenfunctions of the elliptic reduction of the Koroteev-Shakirov (KS) Hamiltonians. This means that these latter are related to the dual eRS…

We consider solutions of the 2D Toda lattice hierarchy which are elliptic functions of the zeroth time t_0=x. It is known that their poles as functions of t_1 move as particles of the elliptic Ruijsenaars-Schneider model. The goal of this paper is to extend this correspondence to the level of hierarchies. We show that the Hamiltonians which govern the dynamics of poles with respect to the m-th hierarchical times t_m and \bar t_m of the 2D Toda lattice hierarchy are obtained from expansion of the spectral curve for the Lax matrix of the Ruijsenaars-Schneider model at the marked points.
By means of a truncation condition on the parameters, the elliptic Ruijsenaars difference operators are restricted onto a finite lattice of points encoded by bounded partitions. A corresponding orthogonal basis of joint eigenfunctions is constructed in terms of polynomials on the joint spectrum. In the trigonometric limit, this recovers the diagonalization of the truncated Macdonald difference operators by a finite-dimensional basis of Macdonald polynomials.
We introduce a new infinite family of higher-order difference operators that commute with the elliptic Ruijsenaars difference operators of type $A$. These operators are related with Ruijsenaars' operators through a formula of Wronski type.
We propose and prove a set of identities for ${\rm GL}_M$ elliptic $R$-matrix (in the fundamental representation). In the scalar case ($M=1$) these are elliptic function identities derived by S.N.M. Ruijsenaars as necessary and sufficient conditions for his kernel identity underlying construction of integral solutions to quantum spinless Ruijsenaars-Schneider model. In this respect the result of the present paper can be considered as the first step towards constructing solutions of quantum eigenvalue problem for the anisotropic spin Ruijsenaars model.
We obtain Bäcklund transformations and integrable time discretization of the recently introduced deformed Ruijsenaars-Schneider many-body system which is the dynamical system for poles of elliptic solutions to the Toda lattice with constraint of type B. We also show that the deformed Ruijsenaars-Schneider system in discrete time is the dynamical system for poles of elliptic solutions to the fully discrete Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation of type B. Besides, we suggest a field analogue of the deformed Ruijsenaars-Schneider system on a space-time lattice.
We present four infinite families of mutually commuting difference operators which include the deformed elliptic Ruijsenaars operators. The trigonometric limit of this kind of operators was previously introduced by Feigin and Silantyev. They provide a quantum mechanical description of two kinds of relativistic quantum mechanical particles which can be identified with particles and anti-particles in an underlying quantum field theory. We give direct proofs of the commutativity of our operators and of some other fundamental properties such as kernel function identities. In particular, we give a …
We propose and test exact quantization conditions for the $N$-particle quantum elliptic Ruijsenaars-Schneider integrable system, as well as its Calogero-Moser limit, based on the conjectural correspondence to the five-dimensional $\mathcal{N} = 1$ $SU(N)$ gauge theory in the Nekrasov-Shatashvili limit. We discuss two natural sets of quantization conditions, related by the electro-magnetic duality, and the importance of non-perturbative corrections in the Planck constant. We also comment on the eigenfunction problem, by reinterpreting the Separation of Variables approach in gauge theory terms.
We introduce codimension three magnetically charged surface operators in five-dimensional (5d) $\mathcal{N}=1$ supersymmetric gauge on $T^2 \times \mathbb{R}^3$. We evaluate the vacuum expectation values (vevs) of surface operators by supersymmetric localization techniques. Contributions of Monopole bubbling effects to the path integral are given by elliptic genera of world volume theories on D-branes. Our result gives an elliptic deformation of the SUSY localization formula \cite{Ito:2011ea} (resp. \cite{Okuda:2019emk, Assel:2019yzd}) of BPS 't Hooft loops (resp. bare monopole operators) in 4…
The fusion ring for $\widehat{\mathfrak{su}}(n)_m$ Wess-Zumino-Witten conformal field theories is known to be isomorphic to a factor ring of the ring of symmetric polynomials presented by Schur polynomials. We introduce a deformation of this factor ring associated with eigenpolynomials for the elliptic Ruijsenaars difference operators. The corresponding Littlewood-Richardson coefficients are governed by a Pieri rule stemming from the eigenvalue equation. The orthogonality of the eigenbasis gives rise to an analog of the Verlinde formula. In the trigonometric limit, our construction recovers th…
We construct the non-stationary Ruijsenaars functions (affine analogue of the Macdonald functions) in the special case $κ=t^{-1/N}$, using the intertwining operators of the Ding-Iohara-Miki algebra (DIM algebra) associated with $N$-fold Fock tensor spaces. By the $S$-duality of the intertwiners, another expression is obtained for the non-stationary Ruijsenaars functions with $κ=t^{-1/N}$, which can be regarded as a natural elliptic lift of the asymptotic Macdonald functions to the multivariate elliptic hypergeometric series. We also investigate some properties of the vertex operator of the DIM…
We construct the orthogonal eigenbasis for a discrete elliptic Ruijsenaars type quantum particle Hamiltonian with hyperoctahedral symmetry. In the trigonometric limit the eigenfunctions in question recover a previously studied $q$-Racah type reduction of the Koornwinder-Macdonald polynomials. When the inter-particle interaction degenerates to that of impenetrable bosons, the orthogonal eigenbasis simplifies in terms of generalized Schur polynomials on the spectrum associated with recently found elliptic Racah polynomials.
We describe integrable elliptic q-deformed anisotropic long-range spin chain. The derivation is based on our recent construction for commuting anisotropic elliptic spin Ruijsenaars-Macdonald operators. We prove that the Polychronakos freezing trick can be applied to these operators, thus providing the commuting set of Hamiltonians for long-range spin chain constructed by means of the elliptic Baxter-Belavin ${\rm GL}_M$ $R$-matrix. Namely, we show that the freezing trick is reduced to a set of elliptic function identities, which are then proved. These identities can be treated as conditions fo…
The mother functions for the eigenfunctions of the Koroteev-Shakirov version of quantum double-elliptic (Dell) Hamiltonians can be presented as infinite series in Miwa variables, very similar to the recent conjecture due to J. Shiraishi. Further studies should clear numerous remaining obstacles and thus solve the long-standing problem of explicitly constructing a Dell system, the top member of the Calogero-Moser-Ruijsenaars system, with the $PQ$-duality fully explicit at the elliptic level.
The infinite number of particles limit in the dual to elliptic Ruijsenaars model (coordinate trigonometric degeneration of quantum double elliptic model) is proposed using the Nazarov-Sklyanin approach. For this purpose we describe double-elliptization of the Cherednik construction. Namely, we derive explicit expression in terms of the Cherednik operators, which reduces to the generating function of Dell commuting Hamiltonians on the space of symmetric functions. Although the double elliptic Cherednik operators do not commute, they can be used for construction of the $N\rightarrow \infty$ limi…
Let $(\otimes_{j=1}^nV_j)[0]$ be the zero weight subspace of a tensor product of finite-dimensional irreducible $\frak{sl}_2$-modules. The dynamical elliptic Bethe algebra is a commutative algebra of differential operators acting on $(\otimes_{j=1}^nV_j)[0]$-valued functions on the Cartan subalgebra of $\frak{sl}_2$. The algebra is generated by values of the coefficient $S_2(x)$ of a certain differential operator $D=(d/dx)^2+S_2(x)$, defined to V. Rubtsov, A. Silantyev, D. Talalaev in 2009. We express $S_2(x)$ in terms of the KZB operators introduced by G. Felder and C. Wieszerkowski in 1994. …
We study the recently introduced family of confluent Virasoro fusion kernels $\mathcal{C}_k(b,\boldsymbolθ,σ_s,ν)$. We study their eigenfunction properties and show that they can be viewed as non-polynomial generalizations of both the continuous dual $q$-Hahn and the big $q$-Jacobi polynomials. More precisely, we prove that: (i) $\mathcal{C}_k$ is a joint eigenfunction of four different difference operators for any positive integer $k$, (ii) $\mathcal{C}_k$ degenerates to the continuous dual $q$-Hahn polynomials when $ν$ is suitably discretized, and (iii) $\mathcal{C}_k$ degenerates to the big…
We present how explicit eigenfunctions of the principal Hamiltonian for the $BC_{m}$ relativistic Calogero-Moser-Sutherland model, due to van Diejen, can be constructed using gauge and integral transformations. In particular, we find that certain $BC$-type elliptic hypergeometric integrals, including elliptic Selberg integrals, of both Type I and Type II arise as eigenfunctions of the van Diejen model under some parameter restrictions. Among these are also joint eigenfunctions of so-called modular pairs of van Diejen operators. Furthermore, these transformations are related to reflections of t…
This work is concerned with operators of the type A = --c$Δ$ acting in domains $Ω$ := $Ω$ ' x (0, H) $\subseteq$ R^d x R ^+. The diffusion coefficient c > 0 depends on one coordinate y $\in$ (0, H) and is bounded but may be discontinuous. This corresponds to the physical model of ''layered media'', appearing in acoustics, elasticity, optical fibers... Dirichlet boundary conditions are assumed. In general, for each $ε$ > 0, the set of eigenfunctions is divided into a disjoint union of three subsets : Fng (non-guided), Fg (guided) and Fres (residual). The residual set shrinks as $ε$ $\rightarrow…
