In this paper, we prove the validity of an averaging principle for multi-valued stochastic differential equations (MSDEs) driven by G-Brownian motion with non-Lipschitz coefficients. The convergence theorem between the solution of the averaged MSDEs and original one was obtained in the sense of p-th moments and also in capicity. Finally, one example is presented to illustrate our theory.
Stochastic averaging for a class of stochastic differential equations (SDEs) with fractional Brownian motion, of the Hurst parameter H in the interval (1/2, 1), is investigated. An averaged SDE for the original SDE is proposed, and their solutions are quantitatively compared. It is shown that the solution of the averaged SDE converges to that of the original SDE in the sense of mean square and also in probability. It is further demonstrated that a similar averaging principle holds for SDEs under stochastic integral of pathwise backward and forward types. Two examples are presented and numerica…
This paper is devoted to studying the averaging principle for fast-slow system of rough differential equations driven by mixed fractional Brownian rough path. The fast component is driven by Brownian motion, while the slow component is driven by fractional Brownian motion with Hurst index $H ~(1/3 < H\leq 1/2)$. Combining the fractional calculus approach to rough path theory and Khasminskii's classical time discretization method, we prove that the slow component strongly converges to the solution of the corresponding averaged equation in the $L^1$-sense. The averaging principle for a fast-slow…
This paper investigates a non-autonomous slow-fast system, which is generalized by stochastic differential equations (SDEs) with locally Lipschitz coefficients, subjected to standard Brownian motion (Bm) and fractional Brownian motion (fBm) with Hurst parameter 1/2<H<1. We concentrate on how to handle both types of integrals with respect to Bm and fBm and the locally Lispchitz continuity. The pathwise approach and the Ito stochastic calculus are combined with the technique of stopping time to establish the averaging principle where the averaged equation is defined. Then, the slow component of …
This paper is devoted to a system of stochastic partial differential equations (SPDEs) that have a slow component driven by fractional Brownian motion (fBm) with the Hurst parameter $H >1/2$ and a fast component driven by fast-varying diffusion. It improves previous work in two aspects: Firstly, using a stopping time technique and an approximation of the fBm, we prove an existence and uniqueness theorem for a class of mixed SPDEs driven by both fBm and Brownian motion; Secondly, an averaging principle in the mean square sense for SPDEs driven by fBm subject to an additional fast-varying diffus…
We give a simple proof that in a Lipschitz domain in two dimensions with Lipschitz constant one, there is pathwise uniqueness for the Skorokhod equation governing reflecting Brownian motion.
We focus on fast-slow systems involving both fractional Brownian motion (fBm) and standard Brownian motion (Bm). The integral with respect to Bm is the standard Ito integral, and the integral with respect to fBm is the generalised Riemann-Stieltjes integral using the tools of fractional calculus. An averaging principle in which the fast-varying diffusion process of the fast-slow systems acts as a noise to be averaged out in the limit is established. It is shown that the slow process has a limit in the mean square sense, which is characterized by the solution of stochastic differential equation…
In this paper, we study the continuity of the transition density of the reecting Brownian motion on a general Lipschitz domain. We also provide local estimates for the density. Applying the estimates, we prove that the surface measure on the domain is in the local Kato class of the reecting Brownian motion.
In this paper, we study the existence and uniqueness of solutions to stochastic differential equations driven by G-Brownian motion (GSDEs) with integral-Lipschitz conditions on their coefficients.
Stochastic averaging for a class of backward stochastic differential equations driven by both standard and fractional Brownian motions (SFrBSDEs in short), is investigated. An averaged SFrBSDEs for the original SFrBSDEs is proposed, and their solutions are quantitatively compared. Under some appropriate assumptions, the solutions to original systems can be approximated by the solutions to averaged stochastic systems in the sense of mean square and also in probability.
This paper is devoted to studying the averaging principle for stochastic differential equations with slow and fast time-scales, where the drift coefficients satisfy local Lipschitz conditions with respect to the slow and fast variables, and the coefficients in the slow equation depend on time $t$ and $ω$. Making use of the techniques of time discretization and truncation, we prove that the slow component strongly converges to the solution of the corresponding averaged equation.
In this paper, we consider the reflected backward stochastic differential equations driven by G-Brownian motion (reflected G-BSDEs) whose coefficients satisfy the beta-order Mao's condition. The uniqueness is obtained by some a priori estimates and the existence can be proved by two different methods. The first one is Picard iteration and the second one is approximation via penalization. The latter construction is useful to get the comparison theorem.
We consider slow / fast systems where the slow system is driven by fractional Brownian motion with Hurst parameter $H>{1\over 2}$. We show that unlike in the case $H={1\over 2}$, convergence to the averaged solution takes place in probability and the limiting process solves the 'naïvely' averaged equation. Our proof strongly relies on the recently obtained stochastic sewing lemma.

We design numerical schemes for a class of slow-fast systems of stochastic differential equations, where the fast component is an Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process and the slow component is driven by a fractional Brownian motion with Hurst index $H>1/2$. We establish the asymptotic preserving property of the proposed scheme: when the time-scale parameter goes to $0$, a limiting scheme which is consistent with the averaged equation is obtained. With this numerical analysis point of view, we thus illustrate the recently proved averaging result for the considered SDE systems and the main differences wit…
The present paper is devoted to investigating the existence and uniqueness of solutions to a class of non-Lipschitz scalar valued backward stochastic differential equations driven by $G$-Brownian motion ($G$-BSDEs). In fact, when the generators are Lipschitz continuous in $y$ and uniformly continuous in $z$, we construct the unique solution to such equations by monotone convergence argument. The comparison theorem and related Feynman-Kac formula are stated as well.
For $α> 0$, the $α$-Lipschitz minorant of a function $f: \mathbb{R} \to \mathbb{R}$ is the greatest function $m : \mathbb{R} \to \mathbb{R}$ such that $m \leq f$ and $|m(s)-m(t)| \le α|s-t|$ for all $s,t \in \mathbb{R}$, should such a function exist. If $X=(X_t)_{t \in \mathbb{R}}$ is a real-valued Lévy process that is not pure linear drift with slope $\pm α$, then the sample paths of $X$ have an $α$-Lipschitz minorant almost surely if and only if $| \mathbb{E}[X_1] | < α$. Denoting the minorant by $M$, we investigate properties of the random closed set $\mathcal{Z} := {t \in \mathbb{R} : M_t …
Distribution dependent stochastic differential equations have been a very hot subject with extensive studies. On the other hand, under the $G$-expectation framework, stochastic differential equations driven by $G$-Brownian motion (in short form, $G$-SDEs) have received increasing attentions, and the existence and uniqueness of solutions to $G$-SDEs under Lipschitz and non-Lipschitz conditions have been obtained. Based on these studies, it is very natural and also important to investigate the $G$-SDEs which are also distribution dependent. In this paper, we are concerned with the well-posedness…
This paper studies the solvability and the stability of stochastic differential equations driven by G-Brownian motion (GSDEs). In particular, the existence and uniqueness of the solution for locally Lipschitz GSDEs is obtained by localization methods, also the stability of such GSDEs are discussed with Lyapunov-type conditions.
In this paper, we study the uniqueness and existence of solutions of RGSDEs with nonlinear resistance under an integral-Lipschitz condition of coefficients. Moreover we obtain the comparison theorem for RGSDEs with nonlinear resistance.
The time average of geometric Brownian motion plays a crucial role in the pricing of Asian options in mathematical finance. In this paper we consider the asymptotics of the discrete-time average of a geometric Brownian motion sampled on uniformly spaced times in the limit of a very large number of averaging time steps. We derive almost sure limit, fluctuations, large deviations, and also the asymptotics of the moment generating function of the average. Based on these results, we derive the asymptotics for the price of Asian options with discrete-time averaging in the Black-Scholes model, with …
This paper is concerned with strong convergence and almost sure convergence for neutral stochastic differential delay equations under non-globally Lipschitz continuous coefficients. Convergence rates of $θ$-EM schemes are given for these equations driven by Brownian motion and pure jumps respectively, where the drift terms satisfy locally one-sided Lipschitz conditions, and diffusion coefficients obey locally Lipschitz conditions, and the corresponding coefficients are highly nonlinear with respect to the delay terms.
Stochastic Volterra integral equations with jumps (SVIEs) have become very common and widely used in numerous branches of science, due to their connections with mathematical finance, biology, engineering and so on. In this paper, we apply the successive approximation method to investigate the existence and uniqueness of solutions to the SVIEs driven by Brownian motion and compensated Poisson random measure under non-Lipschitz condition.
This paper is concerned with strong convergence of a tamed $θ$-Euler-Maruyama scheme for neutral stochastic differential delay equations with superlinearly growing coefficients. We not only prove the strong convergence of implicit schemes, but also reveal the convergence rate for these equations driven by Brownian motion and pure jumps, respectively.
In this paper, we consider first order Sobolev spaces with Robin boundary condition on unbounded Lipschitz domains. Hunt processes are associated with these spaces. We prove that the semigroup of these processes are doubly Feller. As a corollary, we provide a condition for semigroups generated by these processes being compact.
Poisson Equations with locally-Lipschitz coefficients and Uniform in Time Averaging for Stochastic Differential Equations via Strong Exponential Stability
Our first result is a stochastic sewing lemma with quantitative estimates for mild incremental processes, with which we study SPDEs driven by fractional Brownian motions in a random environment. We obtain uniform $L^p$-bounds. Our second result is a fractional averaging principle admitting non-stationary fast environments. As an application, we prove a fractional averaging principle for SPDEs.
In this work, we study a class of non-autonomous two-time-scale stochastic reaction-diffusion equations driven by Poisson random measures, in which the coefficients satisfy the polynomial growth condition and local Lipschitz condition. First, the existence and uniqueness of the mild solution are proved by constructing auxiliary equations and using the technique of stopping time. Then, consider that the time dependent of the coefficients, the averaged equation is redefined by studying the existence of time-dependent evolution family of measures associated with the frozen fast equation. Further,…
This work explores the use of a forward-backward martingale method together with a decoupling argument and entropic estimates between the conditional and averaged measures to prove a strong averaging principle for stochastic differential equations with order of convergence 1/2. We obtain explicit expressions for all the constants involved. At the price of some extra assumptions on the time marginals and an exponential bound in time, we loosen the usual boundedness and Lipschitz assumptions. We conclude with an application of our result to Temperature-Accelerated Molecular Dynamics.
We introduce a class of Markov chains, that contains the model of stochastic approximation by averaging and non-averaging. Using martingale approximation method, we establish various deviation inequalities for separately Lipschitz functions of such a chain, with different moment conditions on some dominating random variables of martingale differences. Finally, we apply these inequalities to the stochastic approximation by averaging and empirical risk minimisation.
It is well-known that a stochastic differential equation (sde) on a Euclidean space driven by a (possibly infinite-dimensional) Brownian motion with Lipschitz coefficients generates a stochastic flow of homeomorphisms. If the Lipschitz condition is replaced by an appropriate one-sided Lipschitz condition (sometimes called monotonicity condition) and the number of driving Brownian motions is finite, then existence and uniqueness of global solutions for each fixed initial condition is also well-known. In this paper we show that under a slightly stronger one-sided Lipschitz condition the solution…
In this paper, we focus on the mean-field backward stochastic differential equations (BSDEs) driven by a fractional Brownian motion with Hurst parameter H greater then 1/2. First, the existence and uniqueness of these equations are established under Lipschitz condition. Then, a comparison theorem for such mean-field BSDEs is obtained. Finally, as an application, we connect this mean-field BSDE with a nonlocal partial differential equation (PDE).
We study minimal thinness in the half-space $H:=\{x=(\wt{x}, x_d):\, \wt{x}\in \R^{d-1}, x_d>0\}$ for a large class of rotationally invariant Lévy processes, including symmetric stable processes and sums of Brownian motion and independent stable processes. We show that the same test for the minimal thinness of a subset of $H$ below the graph of a nonnegative Lipschitz function is valid for all processes in the considered class. In the classical case of Brownian motion this test was proved by Burdzy.
We prove large deviations for $g(t)$-Brownian motion in a complete, evolving Riemannian manifold $M$ with respect to a collection $\{g(t)\}_{t\in [0,1]}$ of Riemannian metrics, smoothly depending on $t$. We show how the large deviations are obtained from the large deviations of the (time-dependent) horizontal lift of $g(t)$-Brownian motion to the frame bundle $FM$ over $M$. The latter is proved by embedding the frame bundle into some Euclidean space and applying Freidlin-Wentzell theory for diffusions with time-dependent coefficients, where the coefficients are jointly Lipschitz in space and t…
We establish Harnack inequalities for stochastic differential equations (SDEs) driven by a time-changed fractional Brownian motion with Hurst parameter $H\in(0,1/2)$. The Harnack inequality is dimension-free if the SDE has a drift which satisfies a one-sided Lipschitz condition, otherwise we still get Harnack-type estimates, but the constants will, in general, depend on the space dimension. Our proof is based on a coupling argument and a regularization argument for the time-change.
Consider the $λ$-Green function and the $λ$-Poisson kernel of a Lipschitz domain $U\subset \mathbb H^n=\left\{x\in\mathbb R^n:x_n>0\right\}$ for hyperbolic Brownian motion with drift. We provide several relationships that facilitate studying those objects and explain somehow theirs nature. As an application, we yield uniform estimates in case of sets of the form $S_{a,b}=\{x\in\mathbb H^n:x_n>a, x_1\in(0,b)\}$, $a,b>0$, $a,b>0$, which covers and extends existing results of that kind.
In this paper, we study backward stochastic differential equations driven by a G-Brownian motion. The solution of such new type of BSDE is a triple (Y,Z,K) where K is a decreasing G-martingale. Under a Lipschitz condition for generator f and g in Y and Z. The existence and uniqueness of the solution (Y,Z,K) is proved. Although the methods used in the proof and the related estimates are quite different from the classical proof for BSDEs, stochastic calculus in G-framework plays a central role.
We rigorously derive non-equilibrium space-time fluctuation for the particle density of a system of reflected diffusions in bounded Lipschitz domains in $\mathbb R^d$. The particles are independent and are killed by a time-dependent potential which is asymptotically proportional to the boundary local time. We generalize the functional analytic framework introduced by Kotelenez [19, 20] to deal with time-dependent perturbations. Our proof relies on Dirichlet form method rather than the machineries derived from Kotelenez's sub-martingale inequality. Our result holds for any symmetric reflected d…
Motivated by an approximation problem from mathematical finance, we analyse the stability of the boundary crossing probability for the multivariate Brownian motion process, with respect to small changes of the boundary. Under broad assumptions on the nature of the boundary, including the Lipschitz condition (in a Hausdorff-type metric) on its time cross-sections, we obtain an analogue of the Borovkov and Novikov (2005) upper bound for the difference between boundary hitting probabilities for "close boundaries" in the univariate case. We also obtained upper bounds for the first boundary crossin…
By using the coupling argument, we establish the Harnack and log-Harnack inequalites for stochastic differential equations with non-Lipschitz drifts and driven by additive anisotropic subordinated Brownian motions (in particular, cylindrical $α$-stable processes). Moreover, the gradient estimate is also derived when the drift is Lipschitz continuous.
In this paper, a solution is given to reflected backward doubly stochastic differential equations when the barrier is not necessarily right-continuous, and the noise is driven by two independent Brownian motions and an independent Poisson random measure. The existence and uniqueness of the solution is shown, firstly when the coefficients are stochastic Lipschitz, and secondly by weakening the conditions on the stochastic growth coefficient.
