We deal with isomorphic Banach-Stone type theorems for closed subspaces of vector-valued continuous functions. Let $\mathbb{F}=\mathbb{R}$ or $\mathbb{C}$. For $i=1,2$, let $E_i$ be a reflexive Banach space over $\mathbb{F}$ with a certain parameter $λ(E_i)>1$, which in the real case coincides with the Schaffer constant of $E_i$, let $K_i$ be a locally compact (Hausdorff) topological space and let $\mathcal{H}_i$ be a closed subspace of $\mathcal{C}_0(K_i, E_i)$ such that each point of the Choquet boundary $\mathcal{Ch}_{\mathcal{H}_i} K_i$ of $\mathcal{H}_i$ is a weak peak point. We show that if there exists an isomorphism $T:\mathcal{H}_1 \rightarrow \mathcal{H}_2$ with $\Vert T \Vert \cdot \Vert T^{-1} \Vert<\min \lbrace λ(E_1), λ(E_2) \rbrace$, then $\mathcal{Ch}_{\mathcal{H}_1} K_1$ is homeomorphic to $\mathcal{Ch}_{\mathcal{H}_2} K_2$. Next we provide an analogous version of the weak vector-valued Banach-Stone theorem for subspaces, where the target spaces do not contain an isomorphic copy of $c_0$.
We show that the class of subspaces of c_0 is stable under Lipschitz isomorphisms. The main corollary is that any Banach space which is Lipschitz isomorphic to c_0 is linearly isomorphic to c_0.
Classical Segal-Bargmann theory studies three Hilbert space unitary isomorphisms that describe the wave-particle duality and the configuration space-phase space. In this work, we generalized these concepts to Clifford algebra-valued functions. We establish the unitary isomorphisms among the space of Clifford algebra-valued square-integrable functions on $\mathbb{R}^n$ with respect to a Gaussian measure, the space of monogenic square-integrable functions on $\mathbb{R}^{n+1}$ with respect to another Gaussian measure and the space of Clifford algebra-valued linear functionals on symmetric tensor…
We provide an unified approach of results of L. Dor on the complementation of the range, and of D. Alspach on the nearness from isometries, of small into isomorphisms of L1. We introduce the notion of small subspace of L1 and show lifting theorems for operators between quotients of L1 by small subspaces. We construct a subspace of L1 which shows that extension of isometries from subspaces of L1 to the whole space are no longer true for isomorphisms, and that nearly isometric isomorphisms from subspaces of L1 into L1 need not be near from any isometry.
In this article, we characterize nearly invariant subspaces of finite defect for the backward shift operator acting on the vector-valued Hardy space which is a vectorial generalization of a result of Chalendar-Gallardo-Partington (C-G-P). Using this characterization of nearly invariant subspace under the backward shift we completely describe the almost invariant subspaces for the shift and its adjoint acting on the vector valued Hardy space.
In this paper we first study the structure of the scalar and vector-valued nearly invariant subspaces with a finite defect. We then subsequently produce some fruitful applications of our new results. We produce a decomposition theorem for the vector-valued nearly invariant subspaces with a finite defect. More specifically, we show every vector-valued nearly invariant subspace with a finite defect can be written as the isometric image of a backwards shift invariant subspace. We also show that there is a link between the vector-valued nearly invariant subspaces and the scalar-valued nearly invar…
For metric spaces $X$ and $Y$, normed spaces $E$ and $F$, and certain subspaces $A(X,E)$ and $A(Y,F)$ of vector-valued continuous functions, we obtain a complete characterization of linear and bijective maps $T:A(X,E)\to A(Y,F)$ preserving common zeros, that is, maps satisfying the property \setcounter{equation}{15} \label{dub} Z(f)\cap Z(g)\neq \emptyset \Longleftrightarrow Z(Tf)\cap Z(Tg)\neq \emptyset for any $f,g\in A(X,E)$, where $Z(f)=\{x\in X:f(x)=0\}$. Moreover, we provide some examples of subspaces for which the automatic continuity of linear bijections having the property (\ref{dub})…
There is a natural isomorphism from image to complement of nullspace, for a bounded linear map from a real Banach space onto a closed subspace of a real Hilbert space. This generalizes Riesz representation (self-duality of Hilbert space). The isomorphism helps solve the pressure equation of fluid dynamics.
We study two subspace systems in a separable infinite-dimensional Hilbert space up to (bounded) isomorphism. One of the main result of this paper is the following: Isomorphism classes of two subspace systems given by graphs of bounded operators are determined by unitarily equivalent classes of the operator ranges and the nullity of the original bounded operators giving graphs. We construct several non-isomorphic examples of two subspace systems in an infinite-dimensional Hilbert space.
Motivated by the study of existence, uniqueness and regularity of solutions to stochastic partial differential equations driven by jump noise, we prove Itô isomorphisms for $L^p$-valued stochastic integrals with respect to a compensated Poisson random measure. The principal ingredients for the proof are novel Rosenthal type inequalities for independent random variables taking values in a (noncommutative) $L^p$-space, which may be of independent interest. As a by-product of our proof, we observe some moment estimates for the operator norm of a sum of independent random matrices.
For $i=1,2$, let $E_i$ be a reflexive Banach lattice over $\mathbb{R}$ with a certain parameter $λ^+(E_i)>1$, let $K_i$ be a locally compact (Hausdorff) topological space and let $\mathcal{H}_i$ be a closed subspace of $\mathcal{C}_0(K_i, E_i)$ such that each point of the Choquet boundary $\mathcal{Ch}_{\mathcal{H}_i} K_i$ of $\mathcal{H}_i$ is a weak peak point. We show that if there exists an isomorphism $T\colon \mathcal{H}_1 \to \mathcal{H}_2$ with $\Vert T \Vert \cdot \Vert T^{-1} \Vert<\min \lbrace λ^+(E_1), λ^+(E_2) \rbrace$ such that $T$ and $T^{-1}$ preserve positivity, then $\mathcal…
We describe the spectrum of weighted $d$-isomorphisms of Banach lattices restricted on closed subspaces that are "rich" enough to preserve some "memory" of the order structure of the original lattice. The examples include (but are not limited to) weighted isometries of Hardy spaces on the polydisk and unit ball in $\mathds{C}^n$.
We study the family of isomorphisms and strictly singular operators in mixed Tsirelson spaces and their modified versions setting. We show sequential minimality of modified mixed Tsirelson spaces $T_M[(\mc{S}_n,θ_n)]$ satisfying some regularity conditions and present results on existence of strictly singular non-compact operators on subspaces of mixed Tsirelson spaces defined by the families $(\mc{A}_n)_n$ and $(\mc{S}_n)_n$.
We improve the known results about the complexity of the relation of isomorphism between separable Banach spaces up to Borel reducibility, and we achieve this using the classical spaces $c_0$, $\ell_p$ and $L_p$, $1 \leq p <2$. More precisely, we show that the relation $E_{K_σ}$ is Borel reducible to isomorphism and complemented biembeddability between subspaces of $c_0$ or $\ell_p, 1 \leq p <2$. We show that the relation $E_{K_σ} \otimes =^+$ is Borel reducible to isomorphism, complemented biembeddability, and Lipschitz equivalence between subspaces of $L_p, 1 \leq p <2$.
We consider 1-complemented subspaces (ranges of contractive projections) of vector-valued spaces $\ell_p(X)$, where $X$ is a Banach space with a 1-unconditional basis and $p \in (1,2)\cup (2,\infty)$. If the norm of $X$ is twice continuously differentiable and satisfies certain conditions connecting the norm and the notion of disjointness with respect to the basis, then we prove that every 1-complemented subspace of $\ell_p(X)$ admits a basis of mutually disjoint elements. Moreover, we show that every contractive projection is then an averaging operator. We apply our results to the space $\ell…
A Banach space contains either a minimal subspace or a continuum of incomparable subspaces. General structure results for analytic equivalence relations are applied in the context of Banach spaces to show that if $E_0$ does not reduce to isomorphism of the subspaces of a space, in particular, if the subspaces of the space admit a classification up to isomorphism by real numbers, then any subspace with an unconditional basis is isomorphic to its square and hyperplanes and has an isomorphically homogeneous subsequence.
The paper alluded to in the title contains the following striking result: Let $I$ be the unit interval and $Δ$ the Cantor set. If $X$ is a quasi Banach space containing no copy of $c_0$ which is isomorphic to a closed subspace of a space with a basis and $C(I, X)$ is linearly homeomorphic to $C(Δ, X)$, then $X$ is locally convex, i.e., a Banach space. It is shown that Kalton result is sharp by exhibiting non locally convex quasi Banach spaces X with a basis for which $C(I, X)$ and $C(Δ, X)$ are isomorphic. Our examples are rather specific and actually in all cases X is isomorphic to $C(Δ, X)$ …
We prove results of existence of a solution (resp. existence and uniqness of a solution) for nonlinear differential equations of type $x'(t) +G(x,t) x(t) = F(x,t),$ in an abstract Banach subspace $X$ of the space of bounded real-valued continuous functions, satisfying some general and natural property. In our work, the functions $F$ and $G$ jointly depend on the variables $(x,t)\in X\times \R$. Several examples will be given, in various function spaces, to illustrate our results. The vector-valued framework is also considered.
Recently, Liang and Partington \cite{YP} show that kernels of finite-rank perturbations of Toeplitz operators are nearly invariant with finite defect under the backward shift operator acting on the scalar-valued Hardy space. In this article we provide a vectorial generalization of a result of Liang and Partington. As an immediate application we identify the kernel of perturbed Toeplitz operator in terms of backward shift-invariant subspaces in various important cases by applying the recent theorem (\cite{CDP, OR}) in connection with nearly invariant subspaces of finite defect for the backward …
We prove that if $K$ and $L$ are compact spaces and $C(K)$ and $C(L)$ are isomorphic as Banach spaces then $K$ has a $π$-base consisting of open sets $U$ such that $\bar{U}$ is a continuous image of some compact subspace of $L$. This gives some information on isomorphic classes of the spaces of the form $C([0,1]^κ)$ and $C(K)$ where $K$ is Corson compact.
We discuss the nature of structure-preserving maps of varies function algebras. In particular, we identify isomorphisms between special Colombeau algebras on manifolds with invertible manifold-valued generalized functions in the case of smooth parametrization. As a consequence, and to underline the consistency and validity of this approach, we see that this generalized version on algebra isomorphisms in turn implies the classical result on algebras of smooth functions.
Let \(X\) be a compact metric space and \(E\) be a Banach space. \(\lip (X, E)\) denotes the Banach space of all \(E\)-valued little Lipschitz functions on \(X\). We show that \(\lip (X, E)^{**}\) is isometrically isomorphic to Banach space of \(E^{**}\)-valued Lipschitz functions \(\Lip(X, E^{**})\) under several conditions. Moreover, we describe the isometric isomorphism from \(\lip (X, E)^{**}\) to \(\Lip (X, E^{**})\).
Let $1<p\not=2<\infty$, $ε>0$ and let $T:\ell_p(\ell_2)\overset{into}{\rightarrow}L_p[0,1]$ be an isomorphism. Then there is a subspace $Y\subset \ell_p(\ell_2)$ $(1+ε)$-isomorphic to $\ell_p(\ell_2)$ such that: $T_{|Y}$ is an $(1+ε)$-isomorphism and $T(Y)$ is $K_p$-complemented in $L_p[0,1]$, with $K_p$ depending only on $p$. Moreover, $K_p\le (1+ε)γ_p$ if $p>2$ and $K_p\le (1+ε)γ_{p/(p-1)}$ if $1<p<2$, where $γ_r$ is the $L_r$ norm of a standard Gaussian variable.
In this paper, we investigate the general form of surjective (not necessarily linear) isometries T : A-> B between subspaces A and B of C(X;E) and C(Y;F), respectively.
We prove that if X is a separable infinite dimensional Banach space then its isomorphism class has infinite diameter with respect to the Banach-Mazur distance. One step in the proof is to show that if X is elastic then X contains an isomorph of c_0. We call X elastic if for some K < infinity for every Banach space Y which embeds into X, the space Y is K-isomorphic to a subspace of X. We also prove that if X is a separable Banach space such that for some K < infinity every isomorph of X is K-elastic then X is finite dimensional.
Two new applications of a technique for spaceability are given in this paper. For the first time this technique is used in the investigation of the algebraic genericity property of the weak form of Peano's theorem on the existence of solutions of the ODE $u'=f(u)$ on $c_0$. The space of all continuous vector fields $f$ on $c_0$ is proved to contain a closed $\mathfrak{c}$-dimensional subspace formed by fields $f$ for which -- except for the null field -- the weak form of Peano's theorem fails to be true. The second application generalizes known results on the existence of closed $\mathfrak{c}$…
It is shown that if $α,ζ$ are ordinals such that $1\leq ζ<α<ζω,$ then there is an operator from $C(ω^{ω^α})$ onto itself such that if $Y$ is a subspace of $C(ω^{ω^α})$ which is isomorphic to $C(ω^{ω^α})$ $,$ then the operator is not an isomorphism on $Y.$ This contrasts with a result of J. Bourgain that implies that there are uncountably many ordinals $α$ for which any operator from $C(ω^{ω^α})$ onto itself there is a subspace of $C(ω^{ω^α})$ which is isomorphic to $% C(ω^{ω^α})$ on which the operator is an isomorphism.
For a closed subspace of the range space, we give conditions under which the subspace valued compact operators forms a proximinal subspace of compact operators into the range space.
For a matrix-valued function $Φ\in L^2_{M_{n\times m}}$, it is well-known that the kernel of a block Hankel operator $H_Φ$ is an invariant subspace for the shift operator. Thus, if the kernel is nontrivial, then $\ker H_Φ= ΘH^2_{\mathbb C^r}$ for a natural number $r$ and an $m\times r$ matrix inner function $Θ$ by Beurling-Lax-Halmos Theorem. It will be shown that the size of the matrix inner function $Θ$ associated with the kernel of a block Hankel operator $H_Φ$ is closely related with a certain independency of the columns of $Φ$, which is defined in this paper. As an important application o…
Let $S$ be the shift operator on the Hardy space $H^2$ and let $S^*$ be its adjoint. A closed subspace $\FF$ of $H^2$ is said to be nearly $S^*$-invariant if every element $f\in\FF$ with $f(0)=0$ satisfies $S^*f\in\FF$. In particular, the kernels of Toeplitz operators are nearly $S^*$-invariant subspaces. Hitt gave the description of these subspaces. They are of the form $\FF=g (H^2\ominus u H^2)$ with $g\in H^2$ and $u$ inner, $u(0)=0$. A very particular fact is that the operator of multiplication by $g$ acts as an isometry on $H^2\ominus uH^2$. Sarason obtained a characterization of the func…
We show that any Banach space contains a continuum of non isomorphic subspaces or a minimal subspace. We define an ergodic Banach space $X$ as a space such that $E_0$ Borel reduces to isomorphism on the set of subspaces of $X$, and show that every Banach space is either ergodic or contains a subspace with an unconditional basis $ which is complementably universal for the family of its block-subspaces. We also use our methods to get uniformity results; for example, in combination with a result of B. Maurey, V. Milman and N. Tomczak-Jaegermann, we show that an unconditional basis of a Banach spa…
Let $X$ and $Y$ be compact Hausdorff spaces, and $E$, $F$ be Banach lattices. Let $C(X,E)$ denote the Banach lattice of all continuous $E$-valued functions on $X$ equipped with the pointwise ordering and the sup norm. We prove that if there exists a Riesz isomorphism $\mathnormalΦ: C(X,E)\to C(Y,F)$ such that $\mathnormalΦf$ is non-vanishing on $Y$ if and only if $f$ is non-vanishing on $X$, then $X$ is homeomorphic to $Y$, and $E$ is Riesz isomorphic to $F$. In this case, $\mathnormalΦ$ can be written as a weighted composition operator: $\mathnormalΦ f(y)=\mathnormalΠ(y)(f(φ(y)))$, where $φ$ …
Let $K_1$, $K_2$ be compact Hausdorff spaces and $E_1, E_2$ be Banach spaces not containing a copy of $c_0$. We establish lower estimates of the Banach-Mazur distance between the spaces of continuous functions $\mathcal{C}(K_1, E_1)$ and $\mathcal{C}(K_2, E_2)$ based on the ordinals $ht(K_1)$, $ht(K_2)$, which are new even for the case of spaces of real valued functions on ordinal intervals. As a corollary we deduce that $\mathcal{C}(K_1, E_1)$ and $\mathcal{C}(K_2, E_2)$ are not isomorphic if $ht(K_1)$ is substantially different from $ht(K_2)$.
We construct a family of separable Hilbertian operator spaces, such that the relation of complete isomorphism between the subspaces of each member of this family is complete $\ks$. We also investigate some interesting properties of completely unconditional bases of the spaces from this family. In the Banach space setting, we construct a space for which the relation of isometry of subspaces is equivalent to equality of real numbers.
We consider the Schatten spaces S^p in the framework of operator space theory and for any $1\leq p\not=2<\infty$, we characterize the completely 1-complemented subspaces of S^p. They turn out to be the direct sums of spaces of the form S^p(H,K), where H,K are Hilbert spaces. This result is related to some previous work of Arazy-Friedman giving a description of all 1-complemented subspaces of S^p in terms of the Cartan factors of types 1-4. We use operator space structures on these Cartan factors regarded as subspaces of appropriate noncommutative L^p-spaces. Also we show that for any $n\geq 2$…

The classical theorems of Banach and Stone, Gelfand and Kolmogorov, and Kaplansky show that a compact Hausdorff space $X$ is uniquely determined by the linear isometric structure, the algebraic structure, and the lattice structure, respectively, of the space $C(X)$. In this paper, it is shown that for rather general subspaces $A(X)$ and $A(Y)$ of $C(X)$ and $C(Y)$ respectively, any linear bijection $T: A(X) \to A(Y)$ such that $f \geq 0$ if and only if $Tf \geq 0$ gives rise to a homeomorphism $h: X \to Y$ with which $T$ can be represented as a weighted composition operator. The three classica…
The paper contains two main results that are obtained by Boolean valued analysis. The first asserts that a universally complete vector lattice without locally one-dimensional bands can be decomposed into a direct sum of two vector sublattices that are laterally complete and invariant under all band projections and there exists a band preserving linear isomorphism of each of these sublattices to the original lattice. The second result establishes a counterpart of the Ando Theorem on the joint characterization of $A\!L^p$ and $c_0$ for the class of cyclic Banach lattices, using the Boolean value…
We deduce a proof of the isomorphism theorem for certain closed subspace $\mc S^p_Γ(X)$ of the $L^p$-Schwartz class functions $(0< p \leq 2) $ on a Riemannian symmetric space $X$ where $Γ$ is a finite subset of $\what{K}_M$. The Fourier transform considered is the Helgason Fourier transform. Our proof relies only on the Paley-Wiener theorem for the corresponding class of functions and hence it does not use the complicated higher asymptotics of the elementary spherical functions.
Let $\mathcal{E}$ be a Hilbert space and $H^2_{\mathcal{E}}(\mathbb{D})$ be the $\mathcal{E}$-valued Hardy space over the unit disc $\mathbb{D}$ in $\mathbb{C}$. The well known Beurling-Lax-Halmos theorem states that every shift invariant subspace of $H^2_{\mathcal{E}}(\mathbb{D})$ other than $\{0\}$ has the form $ΘH^2_{\mathcal{E}_*}(\mathbb{D})$, where $Θ$ is an operator-valued inner multiplier in $H^\infty_{B(\mathcal{E}_*, \mathcal{E})}(\mathbb{D})$ for some Hilbert space $\mathcal{E}_*$. In this paper we identify $H^2(\mathbb{D}^n)$ with $H^2(\mathbb{D}^{n-1})$-valued Hardy space $H^2_{H^…
In this article, we briefly describe nearly $T^{-1}$ invariant subspaces with finite defect for a shift operator $T$ having finite multiplicity acting on a separable Hilbert space $\mathcal{H}$ as a generalization of nearly $T^{-1}$ invariant subspaces introduced by Liang and Partington in \cite{YP}. In other words we characterize nearly $T^{-1}$ invariant subspaces with finite defect in terms of backward shift invariant subspaces in vector-valued Hardy spaces by using Theorem 3.5 in \cite{CDP}. Furthermore, we also provide a concrete representation of the nearly $T_B^{-1}$ invariant subspaces…
Let $I \subset \mathbb C[z_1,...,z_d]$ be a radical homogeneous ideal, and let $\mathcal A_I$ be the norm-closed non-selfadjoint algebra generated by the compressions of the $d$-shift on Drury-Arveson space $H^2_d$ to the co-invariant subspace $H^2_d \ominus I$. Then $\mathcal A_I$ is the universal operator algebra for commuting row contractions subject to the relations in $I$. We ask under which conditions are there topological isomorphisms between two such algebras $\mathcal A_I$ and $\mathcal A_J$? We provide a positive answer to a conjecture of Davidson, Ramsey and Shalit: $\mathcal A_I$ a…
We study factorizations of operator valued functions of weighted Schur classes over multiply-connected domains. There is a correspondence between functions from weighted Schur classes and so-called ``conservative curved'' systems introduced in the paper. We show that the fundamental relationship between invariant subspaces of the main operator of a conservative system and factorizations of the corresponding operator valued function of Schur class, which is well known in the case of the unit disk, can be extended to our case. We develop new notions and constructions and discuss changes that sho…
We derive sufficient conditions for the surjectivity of the Cauchy-Riemann operator $\overline{\partial}$ between spaces of weighted smooth Fréchet-valued functions. This is done by establishing an analog of Hörmander's theorem on the solvability of the inhomogeneous Cauchy-Riemann equation in a space of smooth $\mathbb{C}$-valued functions whose topologyis given by a whole family of weights. Our proof relies on a weakened variant of weak reducibility of the corresponding subspace of holomorphic functions in combination with the Mittag-Leffler procedure. Using tensor products, we deduce the co…
We are concerned here with Sobolev-type spaces of vector-valued functions. For an open subset $Ω\subset\mathbb{R}^N$ and a Banach space $V$, we compare the classical Sobolev space $W^{1,p}(Ω, V)$ with the so-called Sobolev-Reshetnyak space $R^{1,p}(Ω, V)$. We see that, in general, $W^{1,p}(Ω, V)$ is a closed subspace of $R^{1,p}(Ω, V)$. As a main result, we obtain that $W^{1,p}(Ω, V)=R^{1,p}(Ω, V)$ if, and only if, the Banach space $V$ has the Radon-Nikodým property
We consider the problem of complex interpolation of certain Hardy-type subspaces of Köthe function spaces. For example, suppose $X_0$ and $X_1$ are Köthe function spaces on the unit circle $\bold T,$ and let $H_{X_0}$ and $H_{X_1}$ be the corresponding Hardy spaces. Under mild conditions on $X_0,X_1$ we give a necessary and sufficient condition for the complex interpolation space $[H_{X_0},H_{X_1}]_θ$ to coincide with $H_{X_θ}$ where $X_θ=[X_0,X_1]_θ.$ We develop a very general framework for such results and our methods apply to many more general sitauations including the vector-valued case.
A well-known result going back to the 1930s states that all bounded linear operators mapping scalar-valued $L^1$-spaces into $L^\infty$-spaces are kernel operators and that in fact this relation induces an isometric isomorphism between the space of such operators and the space of all bounded kernels. We extend this result to the case of spaces of vector-valued functions. A recent result due to Arendt and Thomaschewski states that the local operators acting on $L^p$-spaces of functions with values in separable Banach spaces are precisely the multiplication operators. We extend this result to no…
Let $X$ be a topological space. A subset of $C(X)$, the space of continuous real-valued functions on $X$, is a partially ordered set in the pointwise order. Suppose that $X$ and $Y$ are topological spaces, and $A(X)$ and $A(Y)$ are subsets of $C(X)$ and $C(Y)$ respectively. We consider the general problem of characterizing the order isomorphisms (order preserving bijections) between $A(X)$ and $A(Y)$. Under some general assumptions on $A(X)$ and $A(Y)$, and when $X$ and $Y$ are compact Hausdorff, it is shown that existence of an order isomorphism between $A(X)$ and $A(Y)$ gives rise to an asso…
We apply the metrical approach to Sobolev spaces, which arise in various evolution PDEs. Functions from those spaces are defined on an interval and take values in a family of Banach spaces. In this case we adapt the definition of Newtonian spaces. For a monotone family, we show the existence of weak derivative, obtain an isomorphism to the standard Sobolev space, and provide some scalar characteristics.
In the first part of our paper, we show that $\ell_\infty$ has a dense linear subspace which admits an equivalent real analytic norm. As a corollary, every separable Banach space, as well as $\ell_1(\mathfrak{c})$, also has a dense linear subspace which admits an analytic renorming. By contrast, no dense subspace of $c_0(ω_1)$ admits an analytic norm. In the second part, we prove (solving in particular an open problem of Guirao, Montesinos, and Zizler) that every Banach space with a long unconditional Schauder basis contains a dense subspace that admits a $C^{\infty}$-smooth norm. Finally, we …
