The objective of this work enclosed with the study of spatially homogeneous anisotropic Bianchi type-I universe in $f(R,T)$ gravity (where $R$ is the Ricci scalar and $T$ is the trace of stress energy momentum tensor) in two different cases viz. $f(R,T)=R+2f(T)$ and $f(R,T)=f_1(R)+f_2(T)$ with bulk viscosity matter content. In this study, we consider a time varying deceleration parameter, which generates an accelerating universe to obtain the exact solution of the field equations. The physical and kinematical properties of both the models are discussed in detail for the future evolution of the universe. We have explored the nature of WEC, DEC, SEC and energy density for both the cases. We have found that both the models, with bulk viscosity matter component, show an acceleration of the universe. We have also shown that the cosmic jerk parameter is compatible with the three kinematical data sets.
The Bianchi type III dark energy models with constant deceleration parameter are investigated. The equation of state parameter $ω$ is found to be time dependent and its existing range for this model is consistent with the recent observations of SN Ia data, SN Ia data (with CMBR anisotropy) and galaxy clustering statistics. The physical aspect of the dark energy models are discussed.
Bermann [ Nuovo Cimento B (1983), 74, 182 ] presented a law of variation of Hubble parameter that yields constant deceleration parameter models of the Universe. In this paper, we study some cosmological models with negative constant deceleration parameter within the framework of Lyra geometry.
In this article we have presented FRW cosmological model in the framework of Brans-Dicke theory. This paper deals with a new proposed form of deceleration parameter and cosmological constant. The effect of bulk viscosity is also studied in the presence of modified Chaplygin gas equation of state. Further, we have discussed the physical behaviors of the models.
A spatially homogeneous anisotropic LRS Bianchi type-I cosmological model is studied in $f(R,T)$ gravity with a special form of Hubble's parameter, which leads to constant deceleration parameter. The parameters involved in the considered form of Hubble parameter can be tuned to match, our models with the $Λ$CDM model. With the present observed value of the deceleration parameter, we have discussed physical and kinematical properties of a specific model. Moreover, we have discussed the cosmological distances for our model.
Locally rotationally symmetric (LRS) Bianchi Type I cosmological models are examined in the presence of dynamically anisotropic dark energy and perfect fluid. We assume that the dark energy (DE) is minimally interacting, has dynamical energy density, anisotropic equation of state parameter (EoS). The conservation of the energy-momentum tensor of the DE is assumed to consist of two separately additive conserved parts. A special law is assumed for the deviation from isotropic EoS, which is consistent with the assumption on the conservation of the energy-momentum tensor of the DE. Exact solutions…
We propose a new law for the deceleration parameter that varies linearly with time and covers Berman's law where it is constant. Our law not only allows one to generalize many exact solutions that were obtained assuming constant deceleration parameter, but also gives a better fit with data (from SNIa, BAO and CMB), particularly concerning the late time behavior of the universe. According to our law only the spatially closed and flat universes are allowed; in both cases the cosmological fluid we obtain exhibits quintom like behavior and the universe ends with a big-rip. This is a result consist…
FRW models of the universe have been studied in the cosmological theory based on Lyra's manifold. A new class of exact solutions has been obtained by considering a time dependent displacement field for variable deceleration parameter from which three models of the universe are derived (i) exponential (ii) polynomial and (iii) sinusoidal form respectively. The behaviour of these models of the universe are also discussed. Finally some possibilities of further problems and their investigations have been pointed out.
The main purpose of the present paper is to investigate LRS Bianchi type I metric in the presence of perfect fluid and dark energy. In order to obtain a deterministic solution of the field equations we have assumed that, the two sources of the perfect fluid and dark energy interact minimally with separate conservation of their energy momentum tensors. The EoS parameter of the perfect fluid is also assumed to be constant. In addition to these we have used a special law of variation of Hubble parameter proposed by Berman that yields constant deceleration parameter. For two different values of th…
The present study deals with LRS Bianchi type I cosmological model representing massive string. The energy-momentum tensor for such string as formulated by Letelier (1983) is used to construct massive string cosmological models for which we assume that the shear scalar ($σ$) is proportional to the expansion scalar ($θ$). The study reveals that massive strings dominate the early Universe. The strings eventually disappear from the Universe for sufficiently large time, which is in agreement with the current astronomical observations. Some physical and geometrical behaviour of models are also disc…
We study an special law for the deceleration parameter, recently proposed by Akarsu and Dereli, in the context of $f(R)$, $f(T)$ and $f(\mathcal{G})$ theories of modified gravity. This law covers the law of Berman for obtaining exact cosmological models to account for the current acceleration of the universe, and also gives the opportunity to generalize many of the dark energy models having better consistency with the cosmological observations. Our aim is to reconstruct the $f(R)$, $f(T)$ and $f(\mathcal{G})$ models inspired by this law of variable deceleration parameter. Such models may then …
We argued in a previous paper [R. A. Vanderveld et al. 2006, arXiv:astro-ph/0602476] that negative deceleration parameters at the center of symmetry in Lemaitre-Tolman-Bondi cosmological models can only occur if the model is not smooth at the origin. Here we demonstrate explicitly the connection between non-smoothness and the failure of positivity theorems for deceleration. We also address some confusion that has arisen in the literature and respond to some recent criticisms of our arguments.
In this work, we study a cosmological model of Bianchi type-I Universe in teleparallel gravity for a perfect fluid. To obtain the cosmological solution of the model, we assume that the deceleration parameter is a linear function of the Hubble parameter $H$ i.e. $q=-1+βH$ (where $β$ as a positive constant). Consequently, we get a model of our Universe, where it goes from the initial phase of deceleration to the current phase of acceleration. We have discussed some physical and geometric properties such as Hubble parameter, deceleration parameter, energy density, pressure, and equation of state …
This paper is devoted to investigate the anisotropic locally rotationally symmetric (LRS) Bianchi type-I space-time in the context of the recently proposed $f(Q)$ gravity in which $Q$ is the non-metricity scalar. For this purpose, we consider a linear form of $f\left( Q\right) $ gravity model, specifically, $f\left( Q\right) =αQ+β$, where $α$ and $% β$ are free parameters and we analyzed the exact solutions of LRS Bianchi type-I space-time. The modified Friedmann equations are solved by presuming an expansion scalar $θ\left( t\right) $ is proportional to the shear scalar $σ\left( t\right) $ wh…
We determine a cosmological model that include a positive acceleration of the Universe and a time decreasing fine structure constant. The present day deceleration parameter is estimated by us, according to our model and the available experimental data .
We discuss a spatially homogeneous and anisotropic Bianchi type-I space-time with two fluids as the content of the Universe: matter and holographic dark energy in the framework of general relativity. To get the exact solutions of Einstein's field equations, we choose the scale factor as a hyperbolic function, specifically, $a\left( t\right) =\sinh ^{\frac{1}{n}}\left( γt\right) $, where $γ$ and $n>0$ are arbitrary constants, which gives us a time-dependent deceleration parameter. Then we study our cosmological model under the conditions of the parameters as: $γ$ fixed and $n>1$. Our cosmologic…
In this paper, we study the dynamical behaviour of the Universe in the $F(R,G)$ theory of gravity, where $R$ and $G$ respectively denote the Ricci scalar and Gauss-Bonnet invariant. Our wide analysis encompasses the energy conditions, cosmographic parameters, $Om(z)$ diagnostic, stability and the viability of reconstructing the referred model through a scalar field formalism. The model obtained here shows the quintessence like behaviour at late times.
In this paper, we have derived the field equations in an extended theory of gravity in an anisotropic space time background and in the presence of magnetic field. The physical and geometrical parameters of the models are determined with respect to the Hubble parameter using some algebraic approaches. A time varying scale factor has been introduced to analyze the behavior of the model. From some diagnostic approach, we found that the model behaves as $Λ_{CDM}$ model at late time of cosmic evolution.
We studied plane symmetric cosmological model in the presence of quark and strange quark matter with the help of f(R,T) theory. To decipher solutions of Plane symmetric space-time, we used power law relation between scale factor and deceleration parameter. We considered the special law of variation of Hubble's parameter proposed by Berman (Nuovo Cimento B 74, 182, 1983) which yields constant deceleration parameter. We also discussed the physical behavior of the solutions by using some physical parameters.
This manuscript investigate the dark energy Bianchi type-I cosmological models in presence of generalized Chaplygin gas, variable gravitational and cosmological constants. In this manuscript, exact solutions of Einstein field equations are obtained under the assumption of time periodic varying deceleration parameter. The physical and dynamical behaviors of the models have been discussed with the help of graphical representations. Also we have discussed the stability and physical acceptability of the obtained solutions
A plane symmetric Bianchi I model is considered with constant deceleration parameter, $q=α-1$, where $α\geq0$. The model with $α=0$ violates the NEC throughout the evolution, and hence provides a physically unrealistic scenario. The model with $α\neq0$ obeys the NEC and WEC at late times, which shows that the models in this case can render a physical realistic cosmological scenario, though for a restricted period of time. It is also shown that the physical and kinematical behaviour of both models remain similar to an LRS Bianchi I model.
We utilise a form for the Hubble parameter to generate a number of solutions to the Einstein field equations with variable cosmological constant and variable gravitational constant in the presence of a bulk viscous fluid. The Hubble law utilised yields a constant value for the deceleration parameter. A new class of solutions is presented in the Robertson-Walker spacetimes. The coefficient of bulk viscosity is assumed to be a power function of the mass density. For a class of solutions, the deceleration parameter is negative which is consistent with the supernovae Ia observations.
It is shown that a present acceleration with a past deceleration is a possible solution of the Friedmann equation by considering the Universe as a mixture of a scalar with a matter field and by including a non-equilibrium pressure term in the energy-momentum tensor. The dark energy density decays more slowly with respect to the time than the matter energy density does. The inclusion of the non-equilibrium pressure leads to a less pronounced decay of the matter field with a shorter period of past deceleration.
In this study, the mechanism of particle creation using varying gravitational and cosmological constants and deceleration parameter has been studied for Friedman-Robertson-Walker at high dimensions to explain early deceleration and present accelerating phases. In order to investigate the dynamics of two phases, we have considered two different ansatz for the scale factor of the form $a(t)=\sqrt{t^αe^{t}}$ and $a(t)=\sqrt{\sin h(kt)}$ which are general form of power-law expansions. Firstly we modified $d$-dimensional field equations depend on time introduce a general formulation of particle cre…
In this paper, a stable flat cosmological model has been constructed and the evolution of dark energy has been investigated in the framework of the recently suggested $κ(R,T)$ gravity. The empirical approach we adopt in the current work reveals some interesting cosmological features consistent with observations and the standard $Λ$CDM model. The evolution of cosmic pressure shows a positive-to-negative transition corresponding to the cosmic deceleration-acceleration transition, both the deceleration parameter and the cosmic pressure have the positive-to-negative sign flipping. While this behav…
We consider a generalized scalar-tensor theory, where we let the coupling function $ω(ϕ)$ and the effective cosmological constants $Λ(ϕ)$ undetermined. We obtain general expressions for $ω(ϕ)$ and $Λ(ϕ)$ in terms of the scalar field and the scale factor, and show that $ω(ϕ)$ depends on the scalar field and the scale factor in a complicated way. In order to study the conditions for an accelerated expansion at the present time and a decelerated expansion in the past, we assume a power law evolution for the scalar field and the scale factor. We analyse the required conditions that allow our model…
A detailed study of the various cosmological aspects in massive gravity theory has been presented in the present work. For the homogeneous and isotropic FLRW model, the deceleration parameter has been evaluated, and, it has been examined whether there is any transition from deceleration to acceleration in recent past, or not. With the proper choice of the free parameters, it has been shown that the massive gravity theory is equivalent to Einstein gravity with a modified Newtonian gravitational constant together with a negative cosmological constant. Also, in this context, it has been examined …
The present acceleration of the universe leads to the formation of a cosmological future event horizon. We explore the effects of the event horizon on cosmological backreaction due to inhomogeneities in the universe. Beginning from the onset of the present accelerated era, we show that backreaction in presence of the event horizon causes acceleration to slow down in the subsequent evolution. Transition to deceleration occurs eventually, ensuring avoidance of a big rip.
We consider the quantum Friedmann equations which include one-loop vacuum fluctuations due to gravitons and scalar field matter in a FLRW background with constant $ε=-{\dot{H}}/{H^2}$. After several field redefinitions, to remove the mixing between the gravitational and matter degrees of freedom, we can construct the one loop correction to the Friedmann equations. Due to cosmological particle creation, the propagators needed in such a calculation are typically infrared divergent. In this paper we construct the graviton and matter propagators, making use of the recent construction of the infrar…
In this paper we have considered an anisotropic space-time model of the Universe in presence of Brans-Dicke (BD) scalar field $ϕ$, causal viscous fluid and barotropic fluid. We have shown that irrespective of fluid the causality theory provides late time acceleration of the Universe. If the deceleration occurs in radial direction and acceleration occurs in transverse direction then the anisotropic Universe will accelerate for a particular condition of the power law representation of the scale factors.
We calculate the fermion propagator in FLRW spacetimes with constant deceleration $q=ε-1$, $ε=-\dot{H}/H^{2}$ for excited states. For fermions whose mass is generated by a scalar field through a Yukawa coupling $m=g_{\mathrm{\scriptscriptstyle{Y}}} ϕ$, we assume $ϕ\propto H$. We first solve for the mode functions by splitting the spinor into a direct product of helicity and chirality spinors. We also allow for non-vacuum states. We normalise the spinors using a consistent canonical quantisation and by requiring orthogonality of particle and anti-particle spinors. We apply our propagator to cal…
We discuss the cosmological reconstruction in modified Gauss-Bonnet and F(R) gravities. Two alternative representations of the action (with and without auxiliary scalar) are considered. The approximate description of deceleration-acceleration transition cosmologies is reconstructed. It is shown that cosmological solution containing Big Bang and Big Rip singularities may be reconstructed only using the representation with the auxiliary field. The analytical description of the deceleration-acceleration transition cosmology in modified Gauss-Bonnet gravity is demonstrated to be impossible at suff…
We examine the observational viability of a class of $f(\mathcal{R})$ gravity cosmological models. Particular attention is devoted to constraints from the recent observational determination of the redshift of the cosmological deceleration-acceleration transition. Making use of the fact that the Ricci scalar is a function of redshift $z$ in these models, $\mathcal {R=R}(z)$, and so is $f(z)$, we use cosmography to relate a $f(z)$ test function evaluated at higher $z$ to late-time cosmographic bounds. First, we consider a model independent procedure to build up a numerical $f(z)$ by requiring th…
The causality principle imposes the constraints on the cosmological parameters in the relativistic theory of gravitation. As a result, X-matter causes the quite definite cosmological scenario with the alternate acceleration and deceleration and the final recollapse
In the Friedmann cosmology the deceleration of the expansion q plays a fundamental role. We derive the deceleration as a function of redshift $q(z)$ in two scenarios: $Λ$ CDM model and modified Chaplygin gas (MCG) model, without assuming spatial flatness. The expression relating the transition redshift from decelerated to accelerated expansion $z_t$ to the cosmological parameters is obtained; it is seen that the curvature parameter does not appear in this expression. Of course the numerical value of $z_t$ depends on $Ω_k$, since $Ω_L + Ω_M + Ω_k = 1$. The exact function $q(z)$ allows the calcu…
In this paper, we study the possibility of obtaining a stable flat dark energy-dominated universe in a good agreement with observations in the framework of Swiss-cheese Brane-world cosmology. Two different Brane-world cosmologies with black strings have been introduced for any cosmological constant $Λ$ using two empirical forms of the scale factor. In both models, we have performed a fine-tuning between the brane tension and the cosmological constant so that the EoS parameter $ω(t)\rightarrow -1$ for the current epoch where the redshift $z\simeq 0$. We then used these fine-tuned values to calc…
We present the coupling of the torsion scalar $T$ and the trace of energy-momentum tensor $\mathcal{T}$, which produces new modified $f(T,\mathcal{T})$ gravity. Moreover, we consider the functional form $f(T,\mathcal{T}) =α\mathcal{T}+βT^2$ where $α$ and $β$ are free parameters. As an alternative to a cosmological constant, the $f(T,\mathcal{T})$ theory may offer a theoretical explanation of the late-time acceleration. The recent observational data to the considered model especially the bounds on model parameters is applied in detail. Furthermore, we analyze the cosmological behavior of the de…
The paper deals with non-equilibrium thermodynamics based on adiabatic particle creation mechanism with the motivation of considering it as an alternative choice to explain the recent observed accelerating phase of the universe. Using Friedmann equations, it is shown that the deceleration parameter ($q$) can be obtained from the knowledge of the particle production rate ($Γ$). Motivated from thermodynamical point of view, cosmological solutions are evaluated for the particle creation rates in three cosmic phases, namely, inflation, matter dominated and present late time acceleration. The decel…
The main purpose of this paper is to explore the solutions of Bianchi type $III$ cosmological model in Brans Dicke theory of gravity in the background of anisotropic dark energy. We use the assumption of constant deceleration parameter and power law relation between scalar field $ϕ$ and scale factor $a$ to find the solutions. The physical behavior of the solutions has been discussed using some physical quantities.
There is a longstanding mystery connected with the radiotracking of distant interplanetary spaceprobes like ULYSSES, Galileo and especially the two NASA probes PIONEER 10 and 11. Comparing radiosignals outgoing from the earth to the probe and ingoing again from the probes do show anomalous frequency shifts which up to now have been explained as caused by anomalous non-Newtonian decelerations of these probes recognizable at solar distances beyond 5 AU. In this paper we study cosmological conditions for the transfer of radiosignals between the Earth and these distant probes. Applying general rel…
In this work, we study a cosmological model of spatially homogeneous and isotropic accelerating universe which exhibits a transition from deceleration to acceleration. For this, Friedmann Robertson Walker(FRW) metric is taken and Hybrid expansion law $a(t)=t^α \exp(βt )$ is proposed and derived. We consider the universe to be filled with two types of fluids barotropic and dark energy which have variable equations of state. The evolution of dark energy, Hubble, and deceleration parameters etc., have been described in the form of tables and figures. We consider $581$ data's of observed values of…
A model for the Universe is proposed whose constituents are: (a) a dark energy field modeled by a fermionic field non-minimally coupled with the gravitational field, (b) a matter field which consists of pressureless baryonic and dark matter fields and (c) a field which represents the radiation and the neutrinos. The coupled system of Dirac's equations and Einstein field equations is solved numerically by considering a spatially flat homogeneous and isotropic Universe. It is shown that the proposed model can reproduce the expected red-shift behaviors of the deceleration parameter, of the densit…
We study the constraints on dark energy equation of state $ω^{X}$ and the deceleration parameter $q$ from the recent observational data including Hubble data and the cosmic microwave background (CMB) radiation by using a model-independent deceleration parameter $q(z)=1/2-a/(1+z)^b$ and dark energy equation of state $ω^{X}=ω_{0}+ω_{1}z/(1+z)$ in the scope of anisotropic Bianchi type I space-time. For the cases of Hubble dataset, CMB data, and their combination, our results indicate that the constraints on transition redshift $z_{\ast}$ are $0.62^{+1.45}_{-0.56}$, $0.34^{+0.13}_{-0.06}$, and $0.…
In this paper, we have investigated the anisotropic behavior of the accelerating universe in Bianchi V space time in the frame work of General Relativity (GR). The matter field we have considered is of two non interacting fluids i.e. the usual string fluid and dark energy (DE) fluid. In order to represent the pressure anisotropy, the skewness parameters are introduced along three different spatial directions. To achieve a physically realistic solutions to the field equations, we have considered a scale factor, known as hybrid scale factor, which is generated by a time varying deceleration para…
In view of late-time cosmic acceleration, a dark energy cosmological model is revisited wherein Einstein's cosmological constant is considered as a candidate of dark energy. Exact solution of Einstein field equations (EFEs) is derived in a homogeneous isotropic background in classical general relativity. The solution procedure is adopted, in a model independent way (or the cosmological parametrization). A simple parametrization of the Hubble parameter (H) as a function of cosmic time `t' is considered which produces an exponential type of evolution of the scale factor (a) and also shows a nega…
We consider an anisotropic brane-world model with Bianchi type I and V geometry, without mirror symmetry or any form of junction conditions. The generalized Chaplygin gas, which interpolates between a high density relativistic era and a non-relativistic matter phase, is a popular candidate for the present accelerated expansion of the universe. Considering the generalized Chaplygin gas as a geometrical dark energy, we obtain the general solutions in an exact parametric form for both Bianchi type I and V space-times. Finally, we study the behavior of the observationally important parameters such…
In this paper, we present a model of transitioning universe with minimal interaction between perfect fluid and anisotropic dark energy in Bianchi I space-time. The two sources are assumed to minimally interacted and therefore their energy momentum tensors are conserved separately. The explicit expression for average scale factor are considered in hybrid form that gives time varying deceleration parameter which describes both the early and late time physical features of universe. We also discuss the physical and geometrical properties of the model derived in this paper. The solution is interest…
We compile an updated list of 38 measurements of the Hubble parameter $H(z)$ between redshifts $0.07 \leq z \leq 2.36$ and use them to place constraints on model parameters of constant and time-varying dark energy cosmological models, both spatially flat and curved. We use five models to measure the redshift of the cosmological deceleration-acceleration transition, $z_{\rm da}$, from these $H(z)$ data. Within the error bars, the measured $z_{\rm da}$ are insensitive to the model used, depending only on the value assumed for the Hubble constant $H_0$. The weighted mean of our measurements is $z…
We write down an anisotropic solution for a flat 5+1 dimensional Universe in Gauss-Bonnet gravity. In the model under investigation this solution replaces the generalized Kasner solution near a cosmological singularity.
We investigate the cosmic acceleration and the evolution of dark energy across the cosmological constant boundary in universal extra dimensions UED. We adopt an empirical approach to solve the higher-dimensional cosmological equations so that the deceleration parameter $q$ is consistent with observations. The expressions for the jerk and deceleration parameters are independent of the number of dimensions $n$. The behavior of pressure in $4$D shows a positive-to-negative transition corresponding to the deceleration-to-acceleration cosmic transition. This pressure behavior helps in providing an …
Tunneling rate is investigated in homogenous and anisotropic cosmologies. The calculations is done by two methods: Euclidean and Hamiltonian approaches. It is found that the probability decreases exponentialy as anisotropy is increased.
We have investigated an LRS Bianchi Type I models with bulk viscosity in the cosmological theory based on Lyra's geometry. A new class of exact solutions have been obtained by considering a time-dependent displacement field for a constant value of the deceleration parameter and viscosity coefficient of bulk viscous fluid is assumed to be a power function of mass density. The physical behaviour of the models is also discussed.
Information exchanged between observers in the universe typically travels along the null rays of the associated light signals. One may therefore decompose the luminosity distance of a given radiation source along these null geodesics, instead of the timelike worldlines of the emitting/receiving observers. In so doing, one obtains (among others) the null counterparts of the familiar Hubble and deceleration parameters. Although the timelike and the null sets of these parameters coincide in an exact Friedmann universe, they generally differ in perturbed cosmological models. The situation becomes …
In this research, we propose a new model that allows to unify inflation, deceleration and acceleration phases of expansion history in BIonic system. In this model, in the beginning, there have been $k$ black fundamental strings that transited to the BIon configuration at a corresponding point. At this point, two universe brane and universe antibrane have been created, interacted with each other via one wormhole and inflated. With decreasing temperature, the energy of this wormhole flowed into universe branes and lead to inflation. After a short time, wormhole died, inflation ended and decelera…
