The aim of this article is to study the fields generated by the Fourier coefficients of Hilbert newforms at arbitrary cusps. In a previous paper we formulated an analogue of the Ichino-Ikeda conjectures for Whittaker-Fourier coefficients of cusp forms on quasi-split groups, as well as the metaplectic group of arbitrary rank. In this paper we reduce the conjecture for the metaplectic group to a local conjectural identity. We motivate this conjecture by giving a heuristic argument for the case $\widetilde{SL}_2$. We show, for levels of the form $N = p^a q^b N'$ with $N'$ squarefree, that in weights $k \geq 4$ every cusp form $f \in \mathcal{S}_k(N)$ is a linear combination of products of certain Eisenstein series of lower weight.
