We define $q$-poly-Bernoulli polynomials $B_{n,ρ,q}^{(k)}(z)$ with a parameter $ρ$, $q$-poly-Cauchy polynomials of the first kind $c_{n,ρ,q}^{(k)}(z)$ and of the second kind $\widehat c_{n,ρ,q}^{(k)}(z)$ with a parameter $ρ$ by Jackson's integrals, which generalize the previously known numbers and polynomials, including poly-Bernoulli numbers $B_n^{(k)}$ and the poly-Cauchy numbers of the first kind $c_n^{(k)}$ and of the second kind $\widehat c_n^{(k)}$. We investigate their properties connected with usual Stirling numbers and weighted Stirling numbers. We also give the relations between generalized poly-Bernoulli polynomials and two kinds of generalized poly-Cauchy polynomials.
We review and discuss some results on the representation of Bernoulli, poly-Bernoulli numbers, and Bernoulli and Cauchy polynomials in terms of Stirling numbers of the first or second kind, or in terms of r-Stirling numbers.
The multi-poly-Bernoulli numbers are generalizations of the Bernoulli numbers. In this paper, we will prove Kummer-type congruences for multi-poly-Bernoulli numbers via $p$-adic distributions.
As is well-known, poly-Bernoulli polynomials are defined in terms of polylogarithm functions. Recently, as degenerate version of such functions and polynomials, degenerate polylogarithm functions were introduced and degenertae poly-Bernoulli polynomials were defined by means of the degenerate polylogarithm functions, and some their properties were investigated. The aim of this paper is to furthur study some properties of the degenertae poly-Bernoulli polynomials by using three formulas coming from the recently developed lambda-umbral calculus. In more detail, among other things, we represent t…
We present a relationship between the generalized hyperharmonic numbers and the poly-Bernoulli polynomials, motivated from the connections between harmonic and Bernoulli numbers. This relationship yields numerous identities for the hyper-sums and several congruences.
In this paper, we consider the problem of representing any polynomial in terms of the degenerate Bernoulli polynomials and more generally of the higher-order degenerate Bernoulli polynomials. We derive explicit formulas with the help of umbral calculus and illustrate our results with some examples.
In this paper, we investigate new class of sequences related to fully degenerate Bernoulli numbers and polynomials. From those sequences, we derive some formulae for the degenerate Bernoulli and Euler polynomials.
We continue our study on relationships between Bernoulli polynomials and balancing (Lucas-balancing) polynomials. From these polynomial relations, we deduce new combinatorial identities with Fibonacci (Lucas) and Bernoulli numbers. Moreover, we prove a special identity involving Bernoulli polynomials and Fibonacci numbers in arithmetic progression. Special cases and some corollaries will highlight interesting aspects of our findings. Our results complement and generalize these of Frontczak (2019).
As properties of poly-Bernoulli numbers, a number of formulas such as the duality formula, explicit formula using the Stirling numbers of the second kind and periodicity for negative upper-index have been established. For the multi-indexed poly-Bernoulli numbers generalized by Kaneko-Tsumura, among such properties only the duality formula was obtained. In this paper, we restrict the double-indexed poly-Bernoulli numbers and show the explicit formula using the Stirling numbers of the second kind and periodicity for negative upper-index for them. Further, we define the variant of multiple-indexe…
We show that certain weighted Fibonacci and Lucas series can always be expressed as linear combinations of polylogarithms. In some special cases we evaluate the series in terms of Bernoulli polynomials, making use of the connection between these polynomials and the polylogarithm.
The aim of this paper is to study the fully degenerate Bernoulli polynomials and numbers, which are a degenerate version of Bernoulli polynomials and numbers and arise naturally from the Volkenborn integral of the degenerate exponential functions on Zp. We find some explicit expressions for the fully degenerate Bernoulli polynomials and numbers in terms of the degenerate Stirling numbers of the second kind, the degenerate r-Stirling numbers of the second kind and of the degenerate Stirling polynomials. We also consider the degenerate poly-Bernoulli polynomials and derive explicit representatio…
This paper presents a new generalization of the Genocchi numbers and the Genocchi theorem. As consequences, we obtain some important families of integer-valued polynomials those are closely related to the Bernoulli polynomials. Denoting by ${(B_n)}_{n \in \mathbb{N}}$ the sequence of the Bernoulli numbers and by ${(B_n(X))}_{n \in \mathbb{N}}$ the sequence of the Bernoulli polynomials, we especially obtain that for any natural number $n$, the reciprocal polynomial of the polynomial $\big(B_n(X) - B_n\big)$ is integer-valued.
