We construct the q-extension of the Hurwitz's type L-function which interpolates the q-extension of generalized Bernoulli polynomials attached to $chi$.
In this paper, we study some properties of Changhee's q-Bernou lli polynomials which are derived from p-adic invariant integral on Zp. By using these properties, we give some interesting identities related to higher- order q-Bernoulli polynomials.
We consider Bernoulli distributions and their regularizations, which are measures on the $p$-adic integers $\mathbb{Z}_p$. It is well known that their Mellin transform can be used to define $p$-adic $L$-functions. We show that for $p>2$ one of the regularized Bernoulli distributions is particularly simple and equal to a measure on $\mathbb{Z}_p$ that takes the values $\pm \frac{1}{2}$ on clopen balls. We apply this to $p$-adic $L$-functions for Dirichlet characters of $p$-power conductor and obtain Dirichlet series expansions similar to the complex case. Such expansions were studied by D. Delb…
In this paper we give some interesting equation of p-adic q-integrals on Zp. From those p-adic q-integrals, we present a systemic study of some families of extended Carlitz q-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials in p-adic number field.
Several new estimates for the 2-adic valuations of Stirling numbers of the second kind are proved. These estimates, together with criteria for when they are sharp, lead to improvements in several known theorems and their proofs, as well as to new theorems. The estimates and criteria all depend on our previous analysis of powers of 2 in the denominators of coefficients of higher order Bernoulli polynomials. The corresponding estimates for Stirling numbers of the first kind are also proved. Some attention is given to asymptotic cases, which will be further explored in subsequent publications.
The Erdös-Moser equation is a Diophantine equation proposed more than 60 years ago which remains unresolved to this day. In this paper, we consider the problem in terms of divisibility of power sums and in terms of certain Egyptian fraction equations. As a consequence, we show that solutions must satisfy strong divisibility properties and a restrictive Egyptian fraction equation. Our studies lead us to results on the Bernoulli numbers and allow us to motivate Moser's original approach to the problem.
In recent years, studying degenerate versions of various special polynomials and numbers have attracted many mathematicians. Here we introduce degenerate type 2 Bernoulli polynomials, fully degenerate type 2 Bernoulli polynomials and degenerate type 2 Euler polynomials, and their corresponding numbers, as degenerate and type 2 versions of Bernoulli and Euler numbers. Regarding to those polynomials and numbers, we derive some identities, distribution relations, Witt type formulas and analogues for the Bernoulli's interpretation of powers of the first $m$ positive integers in terms of Bernoulli …
In this paper, by the properties of p-adic invariant integral on Zp, we establish various identities concerning the generalized Bernoulli numbers and polynomials. From the symmetric properties of p-adic invariant integral on Zp, we give some interesting relationship between the power sums and the generalized Bernoulli polynomials.
We compute the Archimedean doubling zeta integrals which appear in the interpolation formulas for the p-adic L-functions of Siegel modular forms, and verify that they agree with the modified Archimedean Euler factors for p-adic interpolation conjectured by Coates--Perrin-Riou.
The purpose of this paper is to define generalized twisted q-Bernoulli numbers by using p-adic q-integrals. Furthermore, we construct a q-analogue of the p-adic generalized twisted L-functions which interpolate generalized twisted q-Bernoulli numbers. This is the generalization of Kim's h-extension of p-adic q-L-function which was constructed in [5] and is a partial answer for the open question which was remained in [3]
In this paper, we use our previous study of the higher order Bernoulli numbers $B_n^{(l)}$ to investigate the $p$-adic properties of the Stirling numbers of the second kind $S(n,k)$. For example, we give a new, greatly simplified proof of the formula $ν_2(S(2^h,k))=d_2(k)-1$ if $1\le k \le 2^h$, and generalize this result to arbitrary primes $p$. We also consider the Stirling numbers of the first kind $s(n,k)$, with new results analogous to those for the Stirling numbers of the second kind. New mod $p$ congruences for Stirling numbers of both kinds are also given.
In this paper, we derive eight basic identities of symmetry in three variables related to generalized Bernoulli polynomials and generalized power sums. All of these are new, since there have been results only about identities of symmetry in two variables. The derivations of identities are based on the $p$-adic integral expression of the generating function for the generalized Bernoulli polynomials and the quotient of $p$-adic integrals that can be expressed as the exponential generating function for the generalized power sums.
We construct a meromorphic function on the eigencurve that interpolates a square root of the ratio of the central values of two quadratic twists of the $L$-function at classical points.
In the work we have considered p-adic functional series with binomial coefficients and discussed its p-adic convergence. Then we have derived a recurrence relation following with a summation formula which is invariant for rational argument. More precisely, we have investigated a sufficient condition under which the p-adic power series converges to a rational invariant sum 0. Finally we have shown application of the invariant summation formula to get some intersting relations involving Bernoulli numbers and Bernoulli polynomials.
The multi-poly-Bernoulli numbers are generalizations of the Bernoulli numbers. In this paper, we will prove Kummer-type congruences for multi-poly-Bernoulli numbers via $p$-adic distributions.
By applying the p-adic q-Volkenborn Integrals including the bosonic and the fermionic p-adic integrals on p-adic integers, we define generating functions, attached to the Dirichlet character, for the generalized Apostol-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials, the generalized Apostol-Euler numbers and polynomials, generalized Apostol-Daehee numbers and polynomials, and also generalized Apostol-Changhee numbers and polynomials. We investigate some properties of these numbers and polynomials with their generating functions. By using these generating functions and their functional equation, we give som…
We develop the topological polylogarithm which provides an integral version of Nori's Eisenstein cohomology classes for $GL_n(\mathbf{Z})$ and yields classes with values in an Iwasawa algebra. This implies directly the integrality properties of special values of $L$-functions of totally real fields and a construction of the associated $p$-adic $L$-function. Using a result of Graf, we also apply this to prove some integrality and $p$-adic interpolation results for the Eisenstein cohomology of Hilbert modular varieties.
We derive eight identities of symmetry in three variables related to generalized twisted Bernoulli polynomials and generalized twisted power sums, both of which are twisted by ramified roots of unity. All of these are new, since there have been results only about identities of symmetry in two variables. The derivations of identities are based on the $p$-adic integral expression of the generating function for the generalized twisted Bernoulli polynomials and the quotient of $p$-adic integrals that can be expressed as the exponential generating function for the generalized twisted power sums.
In the present paper, we deal with multiple generalized Genocchi numbers and polynomials. Also, we introduce analytic interpolating function for the multiple generalized Genocchi numbers attached to \c{hi} at negative integers in complex plane and we define the multiple Genocchi p-adic L-function. Finally, we derive the value of the partial derivative of our multiple p-adic l-function at s=0.
Let G be a reductive algebraic group over a number field k. It is shown how Emerton's methods may be applied to the problem of p-adically interpolating the metaplectic forms on G, i.e. the automorphic forms on metaplectic covers of G, as long as the metaplectic covers involved split at the infinite places of k.
Recently, $λ$-Bernoulli and $λ$-Euler numbers are studied in [5, 10]. The purpose of this paper is to present a systematic study of some families of the $q$-extensions of the $λ$-Bernoulli and the $λ$-Euler numbers by using the bosonic $p$-adic $q$-integral and the fermionic $p$-adic $q$-integral. The investigation of these $λ$-$q$-Bernoulli and $λ$-$q$-Euler numbers leads to interesting identities related to these objects. The results of the present paper cover earlier results concerning $q$-Bernoulli and $q$-Euler numbers. By using derivative operator to the generating functions of $λ$-$q$-B…
We derive three identities of symmetry in two variables and eight in three variables related to generalized twisted Bernoulli polynomials and generalized twisted power sums, both of which are twisted by unramified roots of unity. The case of ramified roots of unity was treated previously. The derivations of identities are based on the $p$-adic integral expression, with respect to a measure introduced by Koblitz, of the generating function for the generalized twisted Bernoulli polynomials and the quotient of $p$-adic integrals that can be expressed as the exponential generating function for the…
In this paper we prove that the motivic Eisenstein classes associated to polylogarithms of commutative group schemes can be $p$-adically interpolated in étale cohomology. This generalizes results for elliptic curves obtained in our former work. Already for one dimensional commutative groups the results proved here are much more flexible as they allow to treat degeneration questions easily.
The purpose of this paper is to give symmetric identities for higher-order degenerate q- Bernoulli polynomials arising from the p-adic q-integral on Zp.
For any rational prime $p$, we define a certain $p$-stabilization of holomorphic Siegel Eisenstein series for the symplectic group ${\rm Sp}(2n)_{/\mathbb{Q}}$ of an arbitrary genus $n \ge 1$. In addition, we derive an explicit formula for the Fourier coefficients and conclude their $p$-adic interpolation problems. Consequently, for any odd prime $p$, we deduce the existence of a $Λ$-adic form (in the sense of A. Wiles, H. Hida and R.L. Taylor) such that after taking a suitable constant multiple, it interpolates $p$-adic analytic families of the above-mentioned $p$-stabilized Siegel Eisenstein…
By using $q$-Volkenborn integration and uniform differentiable on $\mathbb{Z}%_{p}$, we construct $p$-adic $q$-zeta functions. These functions interpolate the $q$-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials. The value of $p$-adic $q$-zeta functions at negative integers are given explicitly. We also define new generating functions of $q$-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials. By using these functions, we prove analytic continuation of some basic (or $q$-) $L$% -series. These generating functions also interpolate Barnes' type Changhee $% q $-Bernoulli numbers with attached to Dirichlet character as well. By a…
In this paper, we give some new identities of symmetry for q-Bernoulli polynomials under the symmetric group of degree n arising from p-adic q-integrals on Zp.
In this paper, we consider degenerate poly-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials associated with polylogarithmic function and p-adic invariant integral on Zp. By using umbral calculus, we derive some identities of those numbers and polynomials
For any rational prime $p$, we define a certain $p$-stabilization of holomorphic Siegel Eisenstein series for the symplectic group $\text{Sp}(2n)_{/\mathbb{Q}}$ of an arbitrary genus $n \ge 1$. In addition, we derive an explicit formula for the Fourier coefficients and conclude their $p$-adic interpolation problems. Consequently, for any odd prime $p$, we deduce the existence of a $Λ$-adic form (in the sense of A. Wiles, H. Hida and R.L. The purpose of this paper is to derive some identities of the higher order generalized twisted Bernoulli numbers and polynomials attached to $χ$ from the properties of the p-adic invariant integrals.
In this paper, we give p-adic q-integral representation for the Kim's q-Bernstein polynomials and we give some interesting formulae realted to Carlitz's q-Bernoulli numbers.
Our objective in this series of two articles, of which the present article is the first, is to give a Perrin-Riou-style construction of $p$-adic $L$-functions (of Bellaïche and Stevens) over the eigencurve. As the first ingredient, we interpolate the Beilinson-Kato elements over the eigencurve (including the neighborhoods of $θ$-critical points). Along the way, we prove étale variants of Bellaïche's results describing the local properties of the eigencurve. We also develop the local framework to construct and establish the interpolative properties of these $p$-adic $L$-functions away from $θ$-…
We construct motivic cohomology classes attached to Rankin--Selberg convolutions of modular forms of weights $\ge 2$, show that these vary analytically in p-adic families, and relate their image under the p-adic regulator map to values of L-functions. As consequences, we prove new cases of Perrin-Riou's conjecture on motivic L-values; we prove finiteness results for Tate--Shafarevich groups for twists of elliptic curves by dihedral Artin characters; and we prove one inclusion in the Iwasawa main conjecture for a single modular form over an imaginary quadratic field.
Recently, D. S. Kim and T. Kim have studied applications of um- bral calculus associated with p-adic invariant integrals on Zp (see [6]). In this paper, we investigate some interesting properties arising from umbral calculus. These properties are useful in deriving some identities of Bernoulli polynomials.
In 2006, Fukaya and Kato formulated a general conjecture about $p$-adic $L$-functions for a large class of motives and derived a precise conjectural interpolation formula from the ETNC. We study this conjectural $p$-adic $L$-function in the setting of Hida families and compare it to the $p$-adic $L$-function constructed by Kitagawa. A priori it is not clear whether the interpolation formulas coincide, mainly because of the rather inexplicit definition of periods (via comparison isomorphisms) that appear in the general formula. Using $p$-adic Eichler-Shimura isomorphisms and their interpolation…
The purpose of this paper is to construct p-adic Dedekind sums and Hardy-Berndt type sums. We also construct generating function of the twisted Bernoulli polynomials and functions. Furthermore, we give some discussions on elliptic analogue of the Apostol-Dedekind sums.
Let $F$ be a totally real field and let $E/F$ be a CM quadratic extension. We construct a $p$-adic $L$-function attached to Hida families for the group ${\rm GL}_{2/F}\times {\rm Res}_{E/F}{\rm GL}_{1}$. It is characterised by an exact interpolation property for critical Rankin-Selberg $L$-values, at classical points corresponding to representations $π\boxtimes χ$ with the weights of $χ$ smaller than the weights of$π$. Our $p$-adic $L$-function agrees with previous results of Hida when $E/F$ splits above $p$ or $F=\mathbf{Q}$, and it is new otherwise. Exploring a method that should bear furthe…
We give a new and representation theoretic construction of $p$-adic interpolation series for central values of self-dual Rankin-Selberg $L$-functions for $\operatorname{GL}_2$ in dihedral towers of CM fields, using expressions of these central values as automorphic periods. The main novelty of this construction, apart from the level of generality in which it works, is that it is completely local. We give the construction here for a cuspidal automorphic representation of $\operatorname{GL}_2$ over a totally real field corresponding to a $\mathfrak{p}$-ordinary Hilbert modular forms of parallel …
This paper deals with a multiple version of zeta- and L-functions both in the complex case and in the p-adic case: [I] Our motivation in the complex case is to find suitable rigorous meaning of the values of multivariable multiple zeta-functions (MZFs) at non-positive integer points. (a) We reveal that MZFs turn to be entire on the whole space after taking the desingularization. Further we show that the desingularized function is given by a suitable finite linear combination of MZFs with some arguments shifted. It is also shown that specific combinations of Bernoulli numbers attain the special…
Let $f$ be a newform of even weight $2κ$ for $D^\times$, where $D$ is a possibly split indefinite quaternion algebra over $\mathbb{Q}$. Let $K$ be a quadratic imaginary field splitting $D$ and $p$ an odd prime split in $K$. We extend our theory of $p$-adic measures attached to the power series expansions of $f$ around the Galois orbit of the CM point corresponding to an embedding $K\hookrightarrow D$ to forms with any nebentypus and to $p$ dividing the level of $f$. For the latter we restrict our considerations to CM points corresponding to test objects endowed with an arithmetic $p$-level str…
We construct $p$-adic triple product $L$-functions that interpolate (square roots of) central critical $L$-values in the balanced region. Thus, our construction complements that of M. Harris and J. Tilouine. There are four central critical regions for the triple product $L$-functions and two opposite settings, according to the sign of the functional equation. In the first case, three of these regions are of interpolation, having positive sign; they are called the unbalanced regions and one gets three $p$% -adic $L$-functions, one for each region of interpolation (this is the Harris-Tilouine se…
Recently, Kim-Kim Introduced some interesting identities of symmetry for q-Bernoulli polynomials under symmetry group of degree n. In this paper, we study the degenerate q-Euler polynomials and derive some identities of symmetry for these polynomials arising from the p-adic q-integral on Zp.
By using q-Volkenborn integral on Z_{p}, we (simsek, simsekCanada) constructed new generating functions of the (h,q)-Bernoulli polynomials and numbers. By applying the Mellin transformation to the generating functions, we constructed integral representation of the twisted (h,q)-Hurwitz function and twisted (h,q)-two-variable L-function. By using these functions, we construct twisted new (h,q)-partial zeta function which interpolates the twisted (h,q)-Bernoulli polynomials and generalized twisted (h,q)-Bernoulli numbers at negative integers. We give relation between twisted (h,q)-partial zeta f…
Let $B_n$ ($n = 0, 1, 2, ...$) denote the usual $n$-th Bernoulli number. Let $l$ be a positive even integer where $l=12$ or $l \geq 16$. It is well known that the numerator of the reduced quotient $|B_l/l|$ is a product of powers of irregular primes. Let $(p,l)$ be an irregular pair with $B_l/l \not\equiv B_{l+p-1}/(l+p-1) \modp{p^2}$. We show that for every $r \geq 1$ the congruence $B_{m_r}/m_r \equiv 0 \modp{p^r}$ has a unique solution $m_r$ where $m_r \equiv l \modp{p-1}$ and $l \leq m_r < (p-1)p^{r-1}$. The sequence $(m_r)_{r \geq 1}$ defines a $p$-adic integer $χ_{(p, l)}$ which is a zer…
In this paper, we deal with q-Euler numbers and q-Bernoulli numbers. We derive some interesting relations for q-Euler numbers and polynomials by using their generating function and derivative operator. Also, we show between the q-Euler numbers and q-Bernoulli numbers via the p-adic q-integral in the p-adic integer ring.
The Euler--Riemann zeta function is a largely studied numbertheoretic object, and the birthplace of several conjectures, such as the Riemann Hypothesis. Different approaches are used to study it, including $p$-adic analysis : deriving information from $p$-adic zeta functions. A generalized version of $p$-adic zeta functions (Riemann zeta function) are $p$-adic $L$-functions (resp. Dirichlet $L$-functions). This paper describes formalization of $p$-adic $L$-functions in an interactive theorem prover Lean 3. Kubota--Leopoldt $p$-adic $L$-functions are meromorphic functions emerging from the spec…
The aim of this paper is to introduce several degenerate hyperbolic functions as degenerate versions of the hyperbolic functions, to evaluate Volkenborn and the fermionic $p$-adic integrals of the degenerate hyperbolic cosine and the degenerate hyperbolic sine functions and to derive from them some identities involving the degenerate Bernoulli numbers, the degenerate Euler numbers and the Cauchy numbers of the first kind.
Extending work of Bell and of Bell, Ghioca, and Tucker, we prove that for a p-adic analytic self-map f on a closed unit polydisk, if every coefficient of f(x)-x has valuation greater than that of p^{1/(p-1)}, then the iterates of f can be p-adically interpolated; i.e., there exists a function g(x,n) analytic in both x and n such that g(x,n) = f^n(x) whenever n is a nonnegative integer.
