We study Hardy spaces for Fourier--Bessel expansions associated with Bessel operators on $((0,1), x^{2ν+1}\, dx)$ and $((0,1), dx)$. We define Hardy spaces $H^1$ as the sets of $L^1$-functions for which their maximal functions for the corresponding Poisson semigroups belong to $L^1$. Atomic characterizations are obtained.
Let $λ>0$, $p\in((2\lz+1)/(2\lz+2), 1]$, and $\triangle_λ\equiv-\frac{d^2}{dx^2}-\frac{2λ}{x} \frac d{dx}$ be the Bessel operator. In this paper, the authors establish the characterizations of atomic Hardy spaces $H^p((0, \infty), dm_λ)$ associated with $\triangle_λ$ in terms of the radial maximal function, the nontangential maximal function, the grand maximal function, the Littlewood-Paley $g$-function and the Lusin-area function, where $dm_λ(x)\equiv x^{2λ}\,dx$. As an application, the authors further obtain the Riesz transform characterization of these Hardy spaces.
We provide the weak factorization of the Hardy spaces $H^{p}(\mathbb{R}_+, dm_λ)$ in the Bessel setting, for $p\in \left(\frac{2λ+ 1}{2λ+ 2}, 1\right]$. As a corollary we obtain a characterization of the boundedness of the commutator $[b, R_{Δ_λ}]$ from $L^{q}(\mathbb{R}_+, dm_λ)$ to $L^{r}(\mathbb{R}_+, dm_λ)$ when $b\in \textrm{Lip}_α(\mathbb{R}_+, dm_λ)$ provided that $α= \frac{1}{q} - \frac{1}{r}$. The results are a slight generalization and modification of the work of Duong, Li, Yang, and the second named author, which in turn are based on modifications and adaptations of work by Uchiyama…
Consider the Bessel operator with a potential on L^2((0,infty), x^a dx), namely Lf(x) = -f"(x) - a/x f'(x) + V(x)f(x). We assume that a>0 and V\in L^1_{loc}((0,infty), x^a dx) is a non-negative function. By definition, a function f\in L^1((0,infty), x^a dx) belongs to the Hardy space H^1(L) if sup_{t>0} |e^{-tL} f| \in L^1((0,infty), x^a dx). Under certain assumptions on V we characterize the space H^1(L) in terms of atomic decompositions of local type. In the second part we prove that this characterization can be applied to L for a \in (0,1) with no additional assumptions on the potential V.
In this paper we establish the product Hardy spaces associated with the Bessel Schrödinger operator introduced by Muckenhoupt and Stein, and provide equivalent characterizations in terms of the Bessel Riesz transforms, non-tangential and radial maximal functions, and Littlewood--Paley theory, which are consistent with the classical product Hardy space theory developed by Chang and Fefferman. Moreover, in this specific setting, we also provide another characterization via the Telyakovskií transform, which further implies that the product Hardy space associated with this Bessel Schrödinger opera…
Hardy-Littlewood maximal, generalized Bessel-Riesz and generalized fractional integral operators in generalized Morrey and $BMO_ϕ$ spaces associated with Dunkl operator on the real line
In this paper we prove $L^p$ estimates for Stein's square functions associated to Fourier-Bessel expansions. Furthermore we prove transference results for square functions from Fourier-Bessel series to Hankel transforms. Actually, these are transference results for vector-valued multipliers from discrete to continuous in the Bessel setting. As a consequence, we deduce the sharpness of the range of $p$ for the $L^p$-boundedness of Fourier-Bessel Stein's square functions from the corresponding property for Hankel-Stein square functions. Finally, we deduce $L^p$ estimates for Fourier-Bessel multi…
Let $\vec{p}\in(0,1]^n$ be a $n$-dimensional vector and $A$ a dilation. Let $H_A^{\vec{p}}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ denote the anisotropic mixed-norm Hardy space defined via the radial maximal function. Using the known atomic characterization of $H_{A}^{\vec{p}}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ and establishing a uniform estimate for corresponding atoms, the authors prove that the Fourier transform of $f\in H_A^{\vec{p}}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ coincides with a continuous function $F$ on $\mathbb{R}^n$ in the sense of tempered distributions. Moreover, the function $F$ can be controlled pointwisely by the product of the Hardy spac…
We study Fourier-Bessel series on a q-linear grid, defined as expansions in complete q-orthogonal systems constructed with the third Jackson q-Bessel function, and obtain sufficient conditions for uniform convergence. The convergence results are illustrated with specific examples of expansions in q-Fourier-Bessel series.
This paper deals with the inequalities devoted to the comparison between the norm of a function on a compact hypergroup and the norm of its Fourier coefficients. We prove the classical Paley inequality in the setting of compact hypergroups which further gives the Hardy-Littlewood and Hausdorff-Young-Paley (Pitt) inequalities in the noncommutative context. We establish Hörmander's $L^p$-$L^q$ Fourier multiplier theorem on compact hypergroups for $1<p \leq 2 \leq q<\infty$ as an application of Hausdorff-Young-Paley inequality. We examine our results for the hypergroups constructed from the conju…
Fix $λ>0$. Consider the Hardy space $H^1(\mathbb{R}_+,dm_λ)$ in the sense of Coifman and Weiss, where $\mathbb{R_+}:=(0,\infty)$ and $dm_λ:=x^{2λ}dx$ with $dx$ the Lebesgue measure. Also consider the Bessel operators $Δ_λ:=-\frac{d^2}{dx^2}-\frac{2λ}{x} \frac d{dx}$, and $S_λ:=-\frac{d^2}{dx^2}+\frac{λ^2-λ}{x^2}$ on $\mathbb{R_+}$. The Hardy spaces $H^1_{Δ_λ}$ and $H^1_{S_λ}$ associated with $Δ_λ$ and $S_λ$ are defined via the Riesz transforms $R_{Δ_λ}:=\partial_x (Δ_λ)^{-1/2}$ and $R_{S_λ}:= x^λ\partial_x x^{-λ} (S_λ)^{-1/2}$, respectively. It is known that $H^1_{Δ_λ}$ and $H^1(\mathbb{R}_+,d…
In this work, we are interested by the $q$-Bessel Fourier transform with a new approach. Many important results of this $q$-integral transform are proved with a new constructive demonstrations and we establish in particular the associated $q$-Fourier-Neumen expansion which involves the $q$-little Jacobi polynomials.
We study the problem of an appropriate choice of derivatives associated with discrete Fourier-Bessel expansions. We introduce a new so-called essential measure Fourier-Bessel setting, where the relevant derivative is simply the ordinary derivative. Then we investigate Riesz transforms and Sobolev spaces in this context. Our main results are $L^p$-boundedness of the Riesz transforms (even in a multi-dimensional situation) and an isomorphism between the Sobolev and Fourier-Bessel potential spaces. Moreover, throughout the paper we collect various comments concerning two other closely related Fou…
In this paper we uses an I.I. Hirschman-W. Beckner entropy argument to give an uncertainty inequality for the $q$-Bessel Fourier transform: $$ \mathcal{F}_{q,v}f(x)=c_{q,v}\int_{0}^{\infty}f(t)j_{v}(xt,q^{2})t^{2v +1}d_{q}t, $$ where $j_v(x,q)$ is the normalized Hahn-Exton $q$-Bessel function.
In this note, we shall prove a formula for the Fourier transform of spherical Bessel functions over complex numbers, viewed as the complex analogue of the classical formulae of Hardy and Weber. The formula has strong representation theoretic motivations in the Waldspurger correspondence over the complex field.
We study potential operators (Riesz and Bessel potentials) associated with classical Jacobi and Fourier-Bessel expansions. We prove sharp estimates for the corresponding potential kernels. Then we characterize those $1 \le p,q \le \infty$, for which the potential operators are of strong type $(p,q)$, of weak type $(p,q)$ and of restricted weak type $(p,q)$. These results may be thought of as analogues of the celebrated Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev fractional integration theorem in the Jacobi and Fourier-Bessel settings. As an ingredient of our line of reasoning, we also obtain sharp estimates of t…
When dealing with Fourier expansions using the third Jackson (also known as Hahn-Exton) $q$-Bessel function, the corresponding positive zeros $j_{kν}$ and the "shifted" zeros, $qj_{kν}$, among others, play an essential role. Mixing classical analysis with $q$-analysis we were able to prove asymptotic relations between those zeros and the "shifted" ones, as well as the asymptotic behavior of the third Jackson $q$-Bessel function when computed on the "shifted" zeros. A version of a $q$-analogue of the Riemann-Lebesgue theorem within the scope of basic Fourier-Bessel expansions is also exhibited.
The aim of this paper is to establish an analogue of Logvinenko-Sereda's theorem for the Fourier-Bessel transform (or Hankel transform) $\ff_α$ of order $α>-1/2$. Roughly speaking, if we denote by $PW_α(b)$ the Paley-Wiener space of $L^2$-functions with Fourier-Bessel transform supported in $[0,b]$, then we show that the restriction map $f\to f|_Ω$ is essentially invertible on $PW_α(b)$ if and only if $Ω$ is sufficiently dense. Moreover, we give an estimate of the norm of the inverse map. As a side result we prove a Bernstein type inequality for the Fourier-Bessel transform.
We provide sharp two-sided estimates of the Fourier-Bessel heat kernel and we give sharp two-sided estimates of the transition probability density for the Bessel process in (0,1) killed at 1 and killed or reflected at 0.
We obtain Fourier inequalities in the weighted $L_p$ spaces for any $1<p<\infty$ involving the Hardy-Cesàro and Hardy-Bellman operators. We extend these results to product Hardy spaces for $p\le 1$. Moreover, boundedness of the Hardy-Cesàro and Hardy-Bellman operators in various spaces (Lebesgue, Hardy, BMO) is discussed. One of our main tools is an appropriate version of the Hardy-Littlewood-Paley inequality $ \|\widehat{f}\|_{L_{p',q}} \lesssim \left\|f\right\|_{L_{p,q}}$.
We extend an estimate of Taibleson and Weiss, regarding Fourier transform of Hardy spaces, to the aniostropic setting. As consequences, we obtain necessary conditions for multiplier operators, and the anisotropic version of the Hardy-Littlewood inequality. This last inequality is strengthened with a rearrangement argument.
The aim of this paper is to prove two new uncertainty principles for the Fourier-Bessel transform (or Hankel transform). The first of these results is an extension of a result of Amrein-Berthier-Benedicks, it states that a non zero function $f$ and its Fourier-Bessel transform $\mathcal{F}_α(f)$ cannot both have support of finite measure. The second result states that the supports of $f$ and $\mathcal{F}_α(f)$ cannot both be $(\eps,α)$-thin, this extending a result of Shubin-Vakilian-Wolff. As a side result we prove that the dilation of a $\cc_0$-function are linearly independent. We also exte…
In this paper, we prove an exponential integral formula for the Fourier transform of Bessel functions over complex numbers, along with a radial exponential integral formula. The former will enable us to develop the complex spectral theory of the relative trace formula for the Shimura-Waldspurger correspondence and extend the Waldspurger formula from totally real fields to arbitrary number fields.
We prove qualitatively sharp heat kernel bounds in the setting of Fourier-Bessel expansions when the associated type parameter $ν$ is half-integer. Moreover, still for half-integer $ν$, we also obtain sharp estimates of all kernels subordinated to the heat kernel. Analogous estimates for general $ν> -1$ are conjectured. Some consequences concerning the related heat semigroup maximal operator are discussed.
The heat kernel in the setting of classical Fourier-Bessel expansions is defined by an oscillatory series which cannot be computed explicitly. We prove qualitatively sharp estimates of this kernel. Our method relies on establishing a connection with a situation of expansions based on Jacobi polynomials and then transferring known sharp bounds for the related Jacobi heat kernel.
Motivated by G. H. Hardy's 1939 results \cite{Hardy} on functions orthogonal with respect to their real zeros $λ_{n}, n=1,2,... $, we will consider, within the same general conditions imposed by Hardy, functions satisfying an orthogonality with respect to their zeros with Jacobi weights on the interval $(0,1)$, that is, the functions $f(z)=z^νF(z), ν\in \mathbb{R}$, where $F$ is entire and \begin{equation*} \int_{0}^{1}f(λ_{n}t)f(λ_{m}t)t^α(1-t)^βdt=0,\quad α>-1-2ν, β>-1, \end{equation*}% when $n\neq m$. Considering all possible functions on this class we are lead to the discovery of a new fam…
We prove embeddings of Sobolev and Hardy-Sobolev spaces into Besov spaces built upon certain mixed norms. This gives an improvment of the known embeddings into usual Besov spaces. Applying these results, we obtain Oberlin type estimates of Fourier transforms for functions in Sobolev spaces $W_1^1(\mathbb R^n).$
In this paper, we investigate the $H^p(G) \rightarrow L^p(G)$, $0< p \leq 1$, boundedness of multiplier operators defined via group Fourier transform on a graded Lie group $G$, where $H^p(G)$ is the Hardy space on $G$. Our main result extends those obtained in [Colloq. Math. \textbf{165} (2021), 1--30], where the $L^1(G)\rightarrow L^{1,\infty}(G)$ and $L^p(G) \rightarrow L^p(G)$, $1< p <\infty$, boundedness of such Fourier multiplier operators were proved.
The restricted maximal operators of partial sums with respect to bounded Vilenkin systems are investigated. We derive the maximal subspace of positive numbers, for which this operator is bounded from the Hardy space $%H_{p}$ to the Lebesgue space $L_{p}$ for all $0<p\leq 1.$ We also prove that the result is sharp in a particular sense.
In this paper, we study multilinear Fourier multiplier operators on Hardy spaces. In particular, we prove that the multilinear Fourier multiplier operator of Hörmander type is bounded from $H^{p_1} \times \cdots \times H^{p_m}$ to $H^p$ for $0<p_1,\dots,p_m\le 1$ with $1/p_1 + \cdots 1/p_m = 1/p$, under suitable cancellation conditions. As a result, we extend the trilinear estimates of the authors(arXiv:2107.00225) to general multilinear ones and improve the boundedness result of the authors, Lee, Heo, Hong, Park, and Yang(Math. Ann. 381 : 499-555, 2021) in limiting situations.
In this paper we derive the restricted weighted maximal operator, defined by ${\sup }_{k\in \mathbb{N}}\left(\left\vert σ_{k}F\right\vert/A^2_k\right)$ of Fejér means of Walsh-Fourier series and prove that the it is bounded from the martingale Hardy space $H_{1/2}(G)$ to the Lebesgue space $L_{1/2}(G).$ The sharpness of this result is also proved. As a consequence we obtain some new and and well-know results.
Let $p(\cdot):\ \mathbb{R}^n\to(0,1]$ be a variable exponent function satisfying the globally log-Hölder continuous condition and $A$ a general expansive matrix on $\mathbb{R}^n$. Let $H_A^{p(\cdot)}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ be the variable anisotropic Hardy space associated with $A$ defined via the radial maximal function. In this article, via the known atomic characterization of $H_{A}^{p(\cdot)}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ and establishing two useful estimates on anisotropic variable atoms, the author shows that the Fourier transform $\widehat{f}$ of $f\in H_A^{p(\cdot)}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ coincides with a continuous…
In terms of the Fourier-Haar coefficients, a criterion is obtained for the function $f (x_1,x_2)$ to belong to the net space $N_{\bar{p},\bar{q}}(M)$ and to the Lebesgue space $L_{\bar{p}}[0,1]^2$ with mixed metric, where $1<\bar{p}<\infty$, $0<\bar{q}\leq\infty$, $\bar{p}=(p_1,p_2)$, $\bar{q}=(q_1,q_2)$, $M$ is the set of all rectangles in $\mathbb{R}^2$. We proved the Hardy-Littlewood theorem for multiple Fourier-Haar series.
Let $A$ be an expansive dilation on $\mathbb{R}^n$, and $p(\cdot):\mathbb{R}^n\rightarrow(0,\,\infty)$ be a variable exponent function satisfying the globally log-Hölder continuous condition. Let $\mathcal{H}^{p(\cdot)}_A({\mathbb {R}}^n)$ be the variable anisotropic Hardy space defined via the non-tangential grand maximal function. In this paper, the authors obtain that the Fourier transform of $f\in \mathcal{H}^{p(\cdot)}_A({\mathbb {R}}^n)$ coincides with a continuous function $F$ on $\mathbb{R}^n$ in the sense of tempered distributions. As applications, the authors further conclude a highe…

In this PhD thesis we are dealing with convergence and summability of partial sums, Fejér and Marcinkiewicz means with respect to one- and two-dimensional Walsh-Fourier series on the martingale Hardy spaces. This thesis is focus to achieve the following main results: To find estimation of convergence and divergence of the subsequences of partial sums of the one-dimensional Walsh-Fourier series on the martingale Hardy spaces $H_p(G)$, when $0<p\leq1$. To find necessary and sufficient conditions in terms of modulus of continuity of martingale Hardy spaces, for which subsequences of partial sums …
Recently, many surveys are devoted to study the Clifford Fourier transform. Dealing with the real Clifford Fourier transform introduced by Hitzer [10], we establish analogues of the classical Heisenberg's inequality and Hardy's theorem in the real Clifford algebra Cl(p, q).
Partial Fourier transforms are used to find explicit formulas for two remarkable fundamental solutions for a generalized Tricomi operator. These fundamental solutions reflect clearly the mixed type of the operator. In order to prove these results, we establish explicit formulas for Fourier transforms of some type of Bessel functions.
In this paper, the authors studied the fractional S-transform on BMO and Hardy spaces and generalized the results given in \cite{Singh15h}. In introduction section, the definitions of the S-transform, fractional Fourier transform and fractional S-transform are given. In Section 2 continuity and boundedness results for the fractional S-transform in BMO and Hardy spaces are obtained. Furthermore, in Section 3 the fractional S-transform is studied on the weighted BMO$_κ$ and weighted Hardy spaces associated with a tempered weight function.
We define a scale of Hardy spaces $\mathcal{H}^{p}_{FIO}(\mathbb{R}^{n})$, $p\in[1,\infty]$, that are invariant under suitable Fourier integral operators of order zero. This builds on work by Smith for $p=1$. We also introduce a notion of off-singularity decay for kernels on the cosphere bundle of $\mathbb{R}^{n}$, and we combine this with wave packet transforms and tent spaces over the cosphere bundle to develop a full Hardy space theory for oscillatory integral operators. In the process we extend the known results about $L^{p}$-boundedness of Fourier integral operators, from local boundednes…
We show that the Hardy spaces for Fourier integral operators form natural spaces of initial data when applying $\ell^{p}$-decoupling inequalities to local smoothing for the wave equation. This yields new local smoothing estimates which, in a quantified manner, improve the bounds in the local smoothing conjecture on $\mathbb{R}^{n}$ for $p\geq 2(n+1)/(n-1)$, and complement them for $2<p<2(n+1)/(n-1)$. These estimates are invariant under application of Fourier integral operators, and they are essentially sharp.
The main aim of this paper is to investigate Paley type and Hardy-Littlewood type inequalities and strong convergence theorem of partial sums of Vilenkin-Fourier series.
We prove nontangential and radial maximal function characterizations for Hardy spaces associated to a non-negative self-adjoint operator satisfying Gaussian estimates on a space of homogeneous type with finite measure. This not only addresses an open point in the literature, but also gives a complete answer to the question posed by Coifman and Weiss in the case of finite measure. We then apply our results to give maximal function characterizations for Hardy spaces associated to second order elliptic operators with Neumann and Dirichlet boundary conditions, Schrödinger operators with Dirichlet …
Let $μ$ be a probability measure on $\mathbb{T}$ that is singular with respect to the Haar measure. In this paper we study Fourier expansions in $L^2(\mathbb{T},μ)$ using techniques from the theory of model subspaces of the Hardy space. Since the sequence of monomials $\{z^n\}_{n\in \mathbb{N}}$ is effective in $L^2(\mathbb{T},μ)$, it has a Parseval frame associated via the Kaczmarz algorithm. Our first main goal is to identify the aforementioned frame with boundary values of the frame $P_φ(z^n)$ for the model subspace $\mathcal{H}(φ)= H^2 \ominus φH^2$, where $P_φ$ is the orthogonal projectio…
We prove several characterizations of the Hardy spaces for Fourier integral operators $\mathcal{H}^{p}_{FIO}(\mathbb{R}^{n})$, for $1<p<\infty$. First we characterize $\mathcal{H}^{p}_{FIO}(\mathbb{R}^{n})$ in terms of $L^{p}(\mathbb{R}^{n})$-norms of parabolic frequency localizations. As a corollary, any characterization of $L^{p}(\mathbb{R}^{n})$ yields a corresponding version for $\mathcal{H}^{p}_{FIO}(\mathbb{R}^{n})$. In particular, we obtain a maximal function characterization and a characterization in terms of vertical square functions.
We obtain improved bounds for pseudodifferential operators with rough symbols on Hardy spaces for Fourier integral operators. The symbols $a(x,η)$ are elements of $C^{r}_{*}S^{m}_{1,δ}$ classes that have limited regularity in the $x$ variable. We show that the associated pseudodifferential operator $a(x,D)$ maps between Sobolev spaces $\mathcal{H}^{s,p}_{FIO}(\mathbb{R}^{n})$ and $\mathcal{H}^{t,p}_{FIO}(\mathbb{R}^{n})$ over the Hardy space for Fourier integral operators $\mathcal{H}^{p}_{FIO}(\mathbb{R}^{n})$. Our main result is that for all $r>0$, $m=0$ and $δ=1/2$, there exists an interval…
Suppose $μ$ is an $α$-dimensional fractal measure for some $0<α<n$. Inspired by the results proved by R. Strichartz in 1990, we discuss the $L^p$-asymptotics of the Fourier transform of $fdμ$ by estimating bounds of $$\underset{L\rightarrow\infty}{\liminf}\ \frac{1}{L^k} \int_{|ξ|\leq L}\ |\widehat{fdμ}(ξ)|^pdξ,$$ for $f\in L^p(dμ)$ and $2<p<2n/α$. In a different direction, we prove a Hardy type inequality, that is, $$\int\frac{|f(x)|^p}{(μ(E_x))^{2-p}}dμ(x)\leq C\ \underset{L\rightarrow\infty}{\liminf} \frac{1}{L^{n-α}} \int_{B_L(0)} |\widehat{fdμ}(ξ)|^pdξ$$ where $1\leq p\leq 2$ and $E_x=E\c…
