In this paper, we classify four-dimensional Jordan algebras over an algebraically closed field of characteristic different of two. We establish the list of 73 non-isomorphic Jordan algebras.
We determine the isomorphism classes of Jordan algebras in dimension two over the field of real numbers. Using techniques of non-standard analysis we study the properties of the variety of Jordan algebras, and also the contractions among these algebras.
Representations and O-operators of Hom-(pre)-Jacobi-Jordan algebras are introduced and studied. The anticommutator of a Hom-pre-Jacobi-Jordan algebra is a Hom-Jacobi-Jordan algebra and the left multiplication operator gives a representation of a Hom-Jacobi-Jordan algebra. The notion of matched pairs and Nijenhuis operators of Hom-(pre)-Jacobi-Jordan algebras are given and various relevant constructions are obtained.
In this paper, bimodules over Hom-Jordan algebras and the ones over Hom-alternative algebras are defined. It is shown that bimodules over Jordan and alternative algebras are twisted into bimodules over Hom-Jordan and Hom-alternative algebras via endomorphisms respectively. Some relations between bimodules over Hom-associative, Hom-Jordan and Hom-alternative algebras, are given.
We study a notion of order in Jordan algebras based on the version for Jordan algebras of the ideas of Fountain and Gould as adapted to the Jordan context by Fernández-López and Garc\'ıa-Rus, making use of results on general algebras of quotients of Jordan algebras. In particular, we characterize the set of Lesieur-Croisot elements of a nondegenerate Jordan algebra as those elements of the Jordan algebra lying in the socle of its maximal algebra of quotients, and apply this relationship to extend to quadratic Jordan algebras the results of Fernández-López and Garc\'ıa-Rus on local orders in no…
In this paper, we give some construction about ternary Jordan algebras at first. Next we study relationships between generalized derivations, quasiderivations and centroids of ternary Jordan algebras. We show that for ternary Jordan algebras, generalized derivation algebras are the sum of quasiderivation algebras and centroids where centroids are ideals of generalized derivation algebras. We also prove that quasiderivations can be embedded into larger ternary Jordan algebras as derivations. In particular, we also determine dimensions of ternary Jordan algebras in the case of all linear transfo…
We construct a basis of free unital generalized Poisson superalgebras and a basis of free unital superalgebras of Jordan brackets. Also, we prove the analogue of Farkas' Theorem for PI unital generalized Poisson algebras and PI unital algebras of Jordan brackets. Relations beetwen generic Poisson superalgebras and superalgebras of Jordan brackets will be studied.
The purpose of this paper is to introduce Hom-alternative algebras and Hom-Jordan algebras. We discuss some of their properties and provide construction procedures using ordinary alternative algebras or Jordan algebras. Also, we show that a polarization of Hom-associative algebra leads to Hom-Jordan algebra.
In this paper, we mainly study Jordan derivations of dual extension algebras and those of generalized one-point extension algebras. It is shown that every Jordan derivation of dual extension algebras is a derivation. As applications, we obtain that every Jordan generalized derivation and every generalized Jordan derivation on dual extension algebras are both generalized derivations. For generalized one-point extension algebras, it is proved that under certain conditions, each Jordan derivation of them is the sum of a derivation and an anti-derivation.
In this paper, we mainly study structure of multiplicative simple Hom-Jordan algebras. We talk about equivalent conditions for multiplicative Hom-Jordan algebras being solvable, simple and semi-simple. As an application, we give a theorem about classification of multiplicative simple Hom-Jordan algebras. Moreover, some propositions about bimodules of multiplicative Hom-Jordan algebras are also displayed.
We give a computional method to construct and classify nilpotent Jordan algebras over any arbitrary fields by the second cohomolgy of nilpotent Jordan algebras of low dimension "analogue of Skjelbred-Sund method", we see that every nilpotent Jordan algebras can be constructed by the second cohomolgy of nilpotent Jordan algebras of low dimension. We use this method to classify nilpotent Jordan algebras up to dimension three over any field and nilpotent Jordan algebras of dimension four over an algebraic closed field of characteristic not 2 and over the real field R. Also commutative nilpotent a…
In this paper we determine all types and the canonical forms of simple subalgebras for each type of simple Jordan algebras and the number of conjugate classes corresponding to the given simple Jordan algebra.
We describe all degenerations of the variety $\mathfrak{Jord}_3$ of Jordan algebras of dimension three over $\mathbb{C}.$ In particular, we describe all irreducible components in $\mathfrak{Jord}_3.$ For every $n$ we define an $n$-dimensional rigid ''marginal'' Jordan algebra of level one. Also, we discuss ''marginal'' algebras in associative, alternative, left alternative, non-commutative Jordan, Leibniz, and anticommutative cases.
In this paper, we give some properties of generalized derivation algebras of Hom-Jordan algebras. In particular, we show that $GDer(V) = QDer(V) + QC(V)$, the sum of the quasiderivation algebra and the quasicentroid. We also prove that $QDer(V)$ can be embedded as derivations into a larger Hom-Jordan algebra. General results on centroids of Hom-Jordan algebras are also developed in this paper.
We introduce a pre-Jacobi-Jordan algebras and study some relevant properties such as bimodules, matched pairs. Besides, we established a pre-Jacobi-Jordan algebra built as a direct sum of a given pre-Jacobi-Jordan algebra $(\A, \cdot)$ and its dual $(\A^{\ast}, \circ),$ endowed with a non-degenerate symmetric bilinear form $B,$ where $\cdot$ and $\circ$ are the products defined on $\A$ and $\A^{\ast},$ respectively. Finally, after pre-Jacobi-Jordan algebras classification in dimension two, we thoroughly give some double constructions of pre-Jacobi-Jordan algebraic structures.
In this paper we prove that any nonlinear Jordan derivation on triangular algebras is an additive derivation. As a byproduct, we obtain that any nonlinear Jordan derivation on nest algebras over infinite dimensional Hilbert spaces is inner.
We study finite-dimensional commutative algebras, which satisfy the Jacobi identity. Such algebras are Jordan algebras. We describe some of their properties and give a classification in dimensions $n<7$ over algebraically closed fields of characteristic not $2$ or $3$.
We address a Jordan version of Johnson theorem on (associative) algebras of quotients, namely whether a strongly nonsingular (the Jordan version of nonsingularity) has a von Neumann regular algebra of quotients. Although the answer is negative in general, we prove that the result holds in the important case of algebras satisfying a polynomial identity.
Let C be a commutative ring with unity. In this article, we show that every Jordan derivation over an upper triangular matrix algebra T_n(C) is an inner derivation. Further, we extend the result for Jordan derivation on full matrix algebra M_n(C).
We construct Jordan algebras over a locally ringed space using generalizations of the Tits process and the first Tits construction by Achhammer. Some general results on the structure of these algebras are obtained. Examples of Albert algebras over a Brauer-Severi variety with associated central simple algebra of degree 3 are given.
Based on the relation between the notions of Lie triple systems and Jordan algebras, we introduce the $n$-ary Jordan algebras,an $n$-ary generalization of Jordan algebras obtained via the generalization of the following property $\left[ R_{x},R_{y}\right] \in Der\left( \mathcal{A}\right)$, where $\mathcal{A}$ is an $n$-ary algebra. Next, we study a ternary example of these algebras. Finally, based on the construction of a family of ternary algebras defined by means of the Cayley-Dickson algebras, we present an example of a ternary $D_{x,y}$-derivation algebra ($n$-ary $D_{x,y}$-derivation alge…
We give algebraic and geometric classifications of complex $4$-dimensional nilpotent noncommutative Jordan algebras. Specifically, we find that, up to isomorphism, there are only $18$ non-isomorphic nontrivial nilpotent noncommutative Jordan algebras. The corresponding geometric variety is determined by the Zariski closure of $3$ rigid algebras and $2$ one-parametric families of algebras.
In the paper we describe the subcategory of the category of Z-graded Lie algebras which is equivalent to the category of Jordan pairs via a functorial modification of the TKK construction. For instance, we prove that a Z-graded Lie algebra can be constructed from a Jordan pair if and only if it is generated by odd graded components and the second graded homology group is trivial. Similar descriptions are obtained for Jordan triple systems and Jordan algebras.
A Jordan algebra J is said to be pseudo-euclidean if J is endowed with an associative non-degenerate symmetric bilinear form B. B is said an associative scalar product on J. First, we provide a description of the pseudo-euclidean Jordan K-algebras in terms of double extensions and generalized double extensions. In particular, we shall use this description to construct all pseudo-euclidean Jordan algebras of dimension less than or equal to 5. And then, from one of these algebras, we shall construct a twelve dimension Lie algebra by the "TKK" construction. Second, a description of symplectic pse…
We define a general notion of partially ordered Jordan algebra (over a partially ordered ring), and we show that the Jordan geometry associated to such a Jordan algebra admits a natural invariant partial cyclic order, whose intervals are modelled on the symmetric cone of the Jordan algebra. We define and describe, by affine images of intervals, the interval topology on the Jordan geometry, and we outline a reserch program aiming at generalizing main features of the theory of classical symmetric cones and bounded symmetric domains.
Quadratic Jordan algebras are defined by identities that have to hold strictly, i.e that continue to hold in every scalar extension. In this paper we show that strictness is not required for quadratic Jordan division algebras.
In this paper, we study the variety $Jor_{3}$ of three-dimensional Jordan algebras over the field of real numbers. We establish the list of $26$ non-isomorphic Jordan algebras and describe the irreducible components of $Jor_{3}$ proving that it is the union of Zariski closure of the orbits of $8$ rigid algebras.
In this paper, we mainly study the derivation algebras of semi-simple Jordan algebras over a field of characteristic $0$ and give sufficient and necessary conditions that the derivation algebras of them are simple. As an application, we prove that for a semi-simple Jordan algebra $J$, $TDer(Der(J)) = Der(Der(J)) = ad(Der(J))$ under some assumptions. Moreover, we also show that for a semi-simple Jordan algebra $J$ which has a finite basis over a field of characteristic $0$, $TDer(J) = Der(J) = Inn(J)$. This is a corollary about our theorem which concerns Jordan algebras with unit.
Decomposition algebras and axial decomposition algebras are classes of commutative nonassociative algebras which are generalizations of axial algebras. The classes decomposition algebras, axial decomposition al;gebras and non-primitive axial algebras also have univesal algebras. Furthermore, by using the existence of a universal algebra, 2-generated non-primitive axial algebras of Jordan type is classified.
We prove that assosymmetric algebras under Jordan product are Lie triple. A Lie triple algebra is called special if it is isomorphic to a subalgebra of some plus-assosymmetric algebra. We establish that Glennie identitiy is valid for special Lie triple algebras, but not for all Lie triple algebras.
A celebrated result of Koecher and Vinberg asserts the one-one correspondence between the finite dimensional formally real Jordan algebras and Euclidean symmetric cones. We extend this result to the infinite dimensional setting.
We construct two superalgebras associated to a punctured Riemann surface. One of them is a Lie superalgebra of Krichever-Novikov type, the other one is a Jordan superalgebra. The constructed algebras are related in several ways (algebraic, geometric, representation theoretic). In particular, the Lie superalgebra is the algebra of derivations of the Jordan superalgebra.
Several classes of baric algebras studied by different authors will be given a unified treatment, using the technique of gametization introduced by Mallol et al. Many of these algebras will be shown to be either Jordan algebras or to be closely related to them.
The classification, up to isomorphism, of two-dimensional (not necessarily commutative) Jordan algebras over algebraically closed fields and $\mathbb{R}$ is presented in terms of their matrices of structure constants.
We study Jordan-Lie inner ideals of finite dimensional associative algebras and the corresponding Lie algebras and prove that they admit Levi decompositions. Moreover, we classify Jordan-Lie inner ideals satisfying a certain minimality condition and show that they are generated by pairs of idempotents.
A noncommutative Jordan algebra of a specific type is attached to any (-1,-1)-balanced Freudenthal Kantor triple system, in such a way that the triple product in this system is determined by the binary product in the algebra. Over fields of characteristic zero, the simple noncommutative Jordan algebras of this type are classified.
The purpose of this paper is to study representations and $T$*-extensions of hom-Jordan-Lie algebras. In particular, adjoint representations, trivial representations, deformations and many properties of $T$*-extensions of hom-Jordan-Lie algebras are studied in detail. Derivations and central extensions of hom-Jordan-Lie algebras are also discussed as an application.
The fundamental identity of quadratic Jordan algebras $Q_{Q_a b} = Q_aQ_bQ_a$ is commonly proven as a consequence of MacDonalds theorem or using more analytic methods. In this short note we give a self-contained purely algebraic proof using just a few easily proven identities and a Python script that follows a simple randomised logic to reduce expressions of Jordan operators.
A complete classifications of two-dimensional general, commutative, commutative Jordan, division and evolution real algebras are given. In the case of evolution algebras their groups of automorphisms and derivation algebras are described as well.
The purpose of this paper is to introduce and study BiHom-alternative algebras and BiHom-Malcev algebras. It is shown that BiHom-alternative algebras are BiHom-Malcev admissible and BiHom-Jordan admissible. Moreover, BiHom-type generalizations of some well known identities in alternative algebras, including the Moufang identities, are obtained.
The aim of this paper is to give some construction results and examples of BiHom-alternative and BiHom-Jordan algebras. Next, we define BiHom-alternative and BiHom-Jordan (bi)modules and we prove that from a given BiHom-alternative and BiHom-Jordan bimodules, a sequence of this kind of bimodules can be constructed. Some relations between Bihom-associative, BiHom-alternative and BiHom-Jordan bimodules are given.
We study the sets of elements of Jordan pairs whose local Jordan algebras are Lesieur-Croisot algebras, that is, classical orders in nondegenerate Jordan algebras with finite capacity. It is then proved that, if the Jordan pair is nondegenerate, the set of its Lesieur-Croisot elements is an ideal of the Jordan pair.
It is proved that the prime degenerate (-1,1) algebra constructed in [13] (the (-1,1)-monster) generates the same variety of algebras as the Grassman (-1,1)-algebra. Moreover, the same variety is generated by the Grassmann envelope of any simple nonassociative (-1,1)-superalgebra. The variety occurs to be the smallest variety of (-1,1)-algebras that contains prime nonassociative algebras. Similar results are obtained for Jordan algebras. Thus, the Jordan monster (the prime degenerate algebra constructed in [13]) and the Grassmann envelope of the prime Jordan superalgebra of vector type have th…
An algebra with identities $a(bc)=b(ac),$ $(ab)c=(ac)b$ is called bicommutative. We construct list of identities satisfied by commutator and anti-commutator products in a free bicommutative algebra. We give criterions for elements of a free bicommutative algebra to be Lie or Jordan.
In this paper we classify the laws of three-dimensional and four-dimensional nilpotent Jordan algebras over the field of complex numbers. We describe the irreducible components of their algebraic varieties and extend contractions and deformations among them. In particular, we prove that J2 and J3 are irreducible and that J4 is the union of the Zariski closures of two rigid Jordan algebras.
We provide that any Jordan derivation from the block upper triangular matrix algebra $\T = \T(n_{1},n_{2}, \cdots, n_{k})\subseteq M_{n}(\mathbb{\C})$ into a $2$-torsion free unital $\T$-bimodule is the sum of a derivation and an antiderivation.
The Peirce decomposition of a Jordan algebra with respect to an idempotent is well known. This decomposition was taken one step further and generalized recently by Hall, Rehren and Shpectorov, withtheir introduction of {\it axial algebras}, and in particular {\it primitive axial algebras of Jordan type} (PJs for short). It turns out that these notions are closely related to $3$-transposition groups and vertex operator algebras. De Medts, Peacock, Shpectorov, and M. Van Couwenberghe generalized axial algebrasto {\it decomposition algebras} which, in particular, are not necessarily commutative. …
