Using the Trace Minimization Algorithm, we carried out an exact calculation of entanglement in a 19-site two-dimensional transverse Ising model. This model consists of a set of localized spin-1/2 particles in a two dimensional triangular lattice coupled through exchange interaction J and subject to an external magnetic field of strength h. We demonstrate, for such a class of two-dimensional magnetic systems, that entanglement can be controlled and tuned by varying the parameter $λ$ = h/J in the Hamiltonian and by introducing impurities into the systems. Examining the derivative of the concurrence as a function of $λ$ shows that the system exhibits a quantum phase transition at about $λ_c$ = 3.01, a transition induced by quantum fluctuations at the absolute zero of temperature.
In this work, we investigate how the presence of initial entanglement affects energy transport in a network. The network have sites dedicated to incoherent input or output of energy and intermediate control sites where initial entanglement can be established. For short times, we found that initial entanglement in the control sites provides a robust efficiency enhancer for energy transport. For longer times, dephasing considerably damps the quantum correlations, and the advantage of having initial entanglement tends to disappear in favor of the well known mechanism of noise-assisted transport. …
We show how to implement quantum transport, generate entangled state and achieve spatial entanglement distribution via topological Thouless pumping in one-dimensional disordered lattices. We introduce the on-site disorders to suppress the high-order resonant tunneling (which cause wavepacket dispersion) and realize dispersionless Thouless pumping. The interplay between the on-site disorders and the band topology enables robust unidirectional transport. We also demonstrate how to prepare spatially entangled two-particle NOON state via Hong-Ou-Mandel interference assisted by the Thouless pumping…
We are able to detect clear signatures of dephasing -- a distinct trait of Many-Body Localisation (MBL) -- via the dynamics of two-sites entanglement, quantified through the concurrence. Using the protocol implemented in [Science {\bf 349}, 842 (2015)] we show that -- in the MBL phase -- the average two-site entanglement decays in time as a power law, while in the Anderson localised phase it tends to a plateau. The exponent of the power law is not universal and shows a clear dependence on the strength of the interaction. This behaviour is also qualitatively different in the ergodic phase where…
A general and in principle exact approach for the continuous variable entanglement in a system of coupled harmonic oscillators in contact with a thermal bath is formulated. This allows a generalization to describe entanglement's existence between two sites in any system of this kind. It is employed a method of simultaneous diagonalization of two quadratic forms to obtain the uncoupled quantum Hamiltonian. Making use of the transformations that uncouple the system, the covariance matrix for two positions is constructed, and through the positive partial transpose criterion (PPT-criterion), the c…
We investigate the stationary and dynamical behavior of an Anderson localized chain coupled to a single central bound state. The coupling to the central site partially dilutes the Anderson localized peak towards the nearly resonant sites. In particular, the number of resonantly coupled sites remains finite in the thermodynamic limit. This is further supported by a multifractal analysis of eigenstates that shows the frozen spectrum of fractal dimension, which is characteristic for localized phases in models with power-law hopping. Although the well-known Fano-resonance problem is seemingly simi…
In the present paper we are interested in analyzing the pairwise entanglement in quantum dots, as ququart systems, naturally described by the Fermi-Hubbard model. Using the lower bound of concurrence we show the effect of the Coulomb interaction on the pairwise entanglement and creating entanglement within the pairs. Specifically, it is shown that the range of entanglement can be extended to the third neighboring site for a system size of $L=4$, while for $L>4$ the range could be created and extended to the third neighboring site by means of the Coulomb interaction. A rigorous description of t…
We theoretically investigate the entanglement dynamics in photonic Mott insulators in the presence of particle losses and dephasing. We explore two configurations where entanglement is generated following the injection or extraction of a photon in the central site of a chain of cavity resonators. We study the entanglement negativity of two-site reduced density matrices as a function of time and inter-site distance. Our findings show that in spite of particle losses the quantum entanglement propagation exhibits a ballistic character with propagation speeds related to the differerent quasipartic…
In this work we offer an approach to protect the entanglement based on the anti-symmetric property of the hamiltonian. Our main objective is to protect the entanglement of a given initial three-qubit state which is governed by hamiltonian of a three-spin Ising chain in site-dependent transverse fields. We show that according to anti-symmetric property of the hamiltonian with respect to some operators mimicking the time reversal operator, the dynamics of the system can be effectively reversed. It equips us to control the dynamics of the system. The control procedure is implemented as a sequence…
We perform an analytical study of the energy and entanglement spectrum of non-interacting fermionic bilayer honeycomb lattices in the presence of trigonal warping in the energy spectrum, on-site energy difference and uniform magnetic field. Employing single particle correlation functions, we present an explicit form for layer-layer entanglement Hamiltonian whose spectrum is entanglement spectrum. We demonstrate that in the absence of trigonal warping, at zero on-site energy difference exact correspondence is established between entanglement spectrum and energy spectrum of monolayer which means…
We introduce and analyze graph-associated entanglement cost, a generalization of the entanglement cost of quantum states to multipartite settings. We identify a necessary and sufficient condition for any multipartite entangled state to be constructible when quantum communication between the multiple parties is restricted to a quantum network represented by a tree. The condition for exact state construction is expressed in terms of the Schmidt ranks of the state defined with respect to edges of the tree. We also study approximate state construction and provide a second-order asymptotic analysis…
Motivated by recent experimental study on coherent dynamics transfer in three interacting atoms or electron spins \cite{Barredo:2015,Rosenfeld:2018}, here we study entanglement entropy transfer in three interacting qubits. We analytically calculate time evolutions of wave function, density matrix and entanglement of the system. We find that initially entangled two qubits may alternatively transfer their entanglement entropy to other two qubit pairs. So that dynamical evolution of three interacting qubits may produce a genuine three-partite entangled state through entanglement entropy transfers…
We investigate quantum entanglement of three photons performing discrete-time quantum walk (DTQW) on the nearest-neighbor sites of a square lattice. Such a DTQW setup has already been proposed to be realizable using linear optical elements. Each lattice site corresponds to the sequential action of a half-wave plate and a polarizing beam splitter. Two-dimensional DTQW can be mapped to an effective one-dimensional DTQW with a four-sided coin that depends on the polarization and direction of motion of the photons. It is known that such a system is capable to spatially entangle two photons, prepar…
