The Hochschild and (cotriple) cyclic homologies of crossed modules of (not-necessarily-unital) associative algebras are investigated. Wodzicki's excision theorem is extended for inclusion crossed modules in the category of crossed modules of algebras. The cyclic and cotriple cyclic homologies of crossed modules are compared in terms of long exact homology sequence, generalising the relative cyclic homology exact sequence.
We obtain a mixed complex simpler than the canonical one the computes the type cyclic homologies of a crossed product with invertible cocycle $A\times_ρ^f H$, of a weak module algebra $A$ by a weak Hopf algebra $H$. This complex is provided with a filtration. The spectral sequence of this filtration generalizes the spectral sequence obtained in \cite{CGG}. When $f$ takes its values in a separable subalgebra of $A$ that satisfies suitable conditions, the above mentioned mixed complex is provided with another filtration, whose spectral sequence generalize the Feigin-Tsygan spectral sequence.
For simplicial modules, Eilenberg-Zilber's classical theorem states the existence of a product $sh : M\otimes N\to M\times N$ (the shuffle) and a coproduct $AW : M\times N\to M\otimes N$ (the Alexander-Whitney map), which are quasi-inverse of eachother. A cyclic version of this theorem was established in 1987 by Hood and Jones: they proved that $sh$ and $AW$ admit "coextensions" $sh_\infty$ and $AW_\infty$, using an acyclic-model method. Besides, an explicit formula for $sh_\infty$ has been discovered by several authors. But the question remained open of such an explicit formula for $AW_\infty…

Motivated by the fact that the Hopf-cyclic (co)homologies of function algebras over Lie groups and universal enveloping algebras over Lie algebras capture the Lie group and Lie algebra (co)homologies, we hereby upgrade the classical van Est isomorphism to ones between the Hopf-cyclic (co)homologies of quantized algebras of functions and quantized universal enveloping algebras, both in $h$-adic and $q$-deformation frameworks.
We compute the cyclic and Hochschild cohomology groups for the algebras $\mathcal A_θ^{alg} \rtimes \mathbb Z_3, \mathcal A_θ^{alg} \rtimes \mathbb Z_4$ and $\mathcal A_θ^{alg} \rtimes \mathbb Z_6$. We also compute the partial Chern-Connes index table for each of these algebras.
We discuss the cyclic homology of crossed product algebras from the Cuntz-Quillen point of view. The periodic cyclic homology of a crossed product algebra $A\rtimes G$ is described in terms of the $G$-action on periodic cyclic bicomplexes of crossed products of $A$ by the cyclic subgroups of $G$ .
We study the periodic cyclic homology groups of the cross-product of a finite type algebra $A$ by a discrete group $Γ$. In case $A$ is commutative and $Γ$ is finite, our results are complete and given in terms of the singular cohomology of the strata of fixed points. These groups identify our cyclic homology groups with the \dlp orbifold cohomology\drp\ of the underlying (algebraic) orbifold. The proof is based on a careful study of localization at fixed points and of the resulting Koszul complexes. We provide examples of Azumaya algebras for which this identification is, however, no longer va…
We use the Beilinson $t$-structure on filtered complexes and the Hochschild-Kostant-Rosenberg theorem to construct filtrations on the negative cyclic and periodic cyclic homologies of a scheme $X$ with graded pieces given by the Hodge-completion of the derived de Rham cohomology of $X$. Such filtrations have previously been constructed by Loday in characteristic zero and by Bhatt-Morrow-Scholze for $p$-complete negative cyclic and periodic cyclic homology in the quasisyntomic case.
In the present paper the cyclic homology functor from the category of $A_\infty$-algebras over any commutative unital ring $K$ to the category of graded $K$-modules is constructed. Further, it is showed that this functor sends homotopy equivalences of $A_\infty$-algebras into isomorphisms of graded modules. As a corollary, it is obtained that the cyclic homology of an $A_\infty$-algebra over any field is isomorphic to the cyclic homology of the $A_\infty$-algebra of homologies for the source $A_\infty$-algebra.
We construct a periodic cyclic cocycle on the symbol algebra of Boutet de Monvel operators and use it to interpret the index formula for elliptic pseudodifferential boundary value problems due to Fedosov as the Chern--Connes pairing of the classes in $K$-theory of elliptic symbols with this cyclic cocycle. We also consider the equivariant case. Namely, we construct a periodic cyclic cocycle on the crossed product of the algebra of symbols with a group acting on this algebra by automorphisms. Such crossed products arize in index theory of nonlocal boundary value problems with shift operators.
We define Hochschild and cyclic homologies for bornological coarse spaces: for a fixed field $k$ and group $G$, these are lax symmetric monoidal functors $\mathcal{X}HH_{k}^G$ and $\mathcal{X}HC_{k}^G$ from the category of equivariant bornological coarse spaces $G\mathbf{BornCoarse}$ to the cocomplete stable $\infty$-category of chain complexes $\mathbf{Ch}_\infty$. We relate these equivariant coarse homology theories to coarse algebraic $K$-theory $\mathcal{X} K^G_{k}$ and to coarse ordinary homology $\mathcal{X} H^G$ by constructing a trace-like natural transformation $\mathcal{X} K_{k}^G\to…

In this paper we present the construction of explicit quasi-isomorphisms that compute the cyclic homology and periodic cyclic homology of crossed-product algebras associated with (discrete) group actions. In the first part we deal with algebraic crossed-products associated with group actions on unital algebras over any ring $k\supset \mathbb{Q}$. In the second part, we extend the results to actions on locally convex algebras. We then deal with crossed-products associated with group actions on manifolds and smooth varieties. For the finite order components, the results are expressed in terms of…
We show that outer approximately represenbtable actions of a finite cyclic group on UCT Kirchberg algebras satisfy a certain quasi-freeness type property if the corresponding crossed products satisfy the UCT and absorb a suitable UHF algebra tensorially. More concretely, we prove that for such an action there exists an inverse semigroup of homogeneous partial isometries that generates the ambient C*-algebra and whose idempotent semilattice generates a Cartan subalgebra. We prove a similar result for actions of finite cyclic groups with the Rokhlin property on UCT Kirchberg algebras absorbing a…
This is a further investigation of our approach to group actions in homological algebra in the settings of homology of Γ-simplicial groups, particularly of Γ-equivariant homology and cohomology of Γ-groups. This approach could be called Γ-homological algebra. The abstract kernel of non-abelian extensions of groups, its relation with the obstruction to the existence of non-abelian extensions and with the second group cohomology are extended to the case of non-abelian Γ-extensions of Γ-groups. We compute the rational Γ-equivariant (co)homology groups of finite cyclic Γ-groups. The isomorphism of…
