This paper studies crystalline representations of G_K with coefficients of any dimension, where K is the unramified extension of Q_p of degree a. We prove a theorem of Fontaine-Laffaille type when σ-invariant Hodge-Tate weight less than p-1, which establishes the bijection between Galois stable lattices in crystalline representations and strongly divisible ϕ-lattice. In generalizing Breuil's work, we classify all reducible and irreducible crystalline representations of G_K of dimensional 2, then describe their mod p reductions. We generalize some results (of Deligne, Fontaine-Serre, and Edixhoven) to representations arising from Hilbert modular forms when σ-invariant Hodge-Tate weight less than p-1.
We construct explicitly some analytic families of etale (phi,Gamma)-modules, which give rise to analytic families of 2-dimensional crystalline representations. As an application of our constructions, we verify some conjectures of Breuil on the reduction modulo p of those representations, and extend some results (of Deligne, Edixhoven, Fontaine and Serre) on the representations arising from modular forms.
The purpose of this article is to give a proof of the $C_{EP,F}(V)$ conjecture for some semi-stable representations and of the $δ_{\Zp}(V)$ conjecture for some crystalline representations. There are two major ingredients: first, the computation of Tamagawa numbers using a variation on results of Fontaine-Laffaille and of Bloch-Kato, and second some continuity results for Bloch-Kato's exponential which were proved by Perrin-Riou.
We propose the notion of the {\em crystalline sub-representation functor} defined on $p$-adic representations of the Galois groups of finite extensions of $\Qp$, with certain restrictions in the case of integral representations. By studying its right-derived functors, we find a natural extension of a formula of Grothendieck expressing the group of connected components of a Neron model of an abelian variety in terms of Galois cohomology.
This paper contains three new results. {\bf 1}.We introduce new notions of projective crystalline representations and twisted periodic Higgs-de Rham flows. These new notions generalize crystalline representations of étale fundamental groups introduced in [7,10] and periodic Higgs-de Rham flows introduced in [19]. We establish an equivalence between the categories of projective crystalline representations and twisted periodic Higgs-de Rham flows via the category of twisted Fontaine-Faltings module which is also introduced in this paper. {\bf 2.}We study the base change of these objects over ver…
We consider stacks of filtered phi-modules over rigid analytic spaces and adic spaces. We show that these modules parametrize p-adic Galois representations of the absolute Galois group of a p-adic field with varying coefficients over an open substack containing all classical points. Further we study a period morphism (defined by Pappas and Rapoport) from a stack parametrizing integral data and determine the image of this morphism.
Mark Kisin proved that a certain restriction functor on crystalline p-adic representations is fully faithful. In this paper, we prove the torsion analogue of Kisin's theorem.
Cais and Liu extended the theory of Kisin modules and crystalline representations to allow more general coefficient fields and lifts of Frobenius. Based on their theory, we classify lattices in crystalline representations by Kisin modules with additional structures under a Cais-Liu's setting. Furthermore, we give a geometric interpretation of Kisin modules of height one in terms of Dieudonné crystals of $p$-divisible groups, and show a full faithfulness theorem for a restriction functor on torsion crystalline representations.
We compute reduction $\bar ρ$ of 3-dimensional irreducible crystalline representations $ρ$ of $G_{\mathbb Q_p}$ with Hodge-Tate weights $\{0, r , s\}$ satisfying $2 \leq r \leq p-2, \ \ 2+p \leq s \leq r + p-2.$ If $\bar ρ$ is irreducible then we show that the generic fiber of crystalline universal deformation ring of $\bar ρ$ is connected.
Let K_0 be a finite unramified extension of Q_p. We show that all crystalline representations of G_{K_0} (the absolute Galois group of K_0) with Hodge-Tate weights in {0, ..., p-1} are potentially diagonalizable.
Let k be an algebraically closed field of characteristic p>0. Let W(k) be the ring of Witt vectors with coefficients in k. We prove a motivic conjecture of Milne that relates, in the case of abelian schemes, the étale cohomology with $\dbZ_p$ coefficients to the crystalline cohomology with integral coefficients, in the more general context of p-divisible groups endowed with {\it arbitrary} families of crystalline tensors over a finite, discrete valuation ring extension of W(k). This extends a result of Faltings in [Fa2]. As a main new tool we construct global deformations of p-divisible groups…
In this paper, we study the Tamagawa numbers of a crystalline representation over a tower of cyclotomic extensions under certain technical conditions on the representation. In particular, we show that we may improve the asymptotic bounds given in the thesis of Arthur Laurent in certain cases.
We complete the calculations begun in [BG09], using the p-adic local Langlands correspondence for GL2(Q_p) to give a complete description of the reduction modulo p of the 2-dimensional crystalline representations of G_{Q_p} of slope less than 1, when p > 2.
We use the p-adic local Langlands correspondence for GL_2(Q_p) to explicitly compute the reduction modulo p of crystalline representations of small slope, and give applications to modular forms.
Let K be a finite unramified extension of Q_p. We parametrize the (phi, Gamma)-modules corresponding to reducible two-dimensional mod p representations of G_K and characterize those which have reducible crystalline lifts with certain Hodge-Tate weights.
Let K_{f} be the finite unramified extension of Q_{p} of degree f and E any finite large enough coefficient field containing K_{f}. We construct analytic families of étale (Phi,Gamma)-modules which give rise to families of crystalline E-representations of the absolute Galois group G_{K_{f}} of K_{f}. For any irreducible effective two-dimensional crystalline E-representation of G_{K_{f}} with labeled Hodge-Tate weights {0,-k_{i}}_{τ_{i}} induced from a crystalline character of G_{K_{2f}}, we construct an infinite family of crystalline E-representations of G_{K_{f}} of the same Hodge-Tate type w…
We provide an answer to two questions of Fontaine (in the unramified case). First, we show that a limit of crystalline representations, of bounded Hodge-Tate weights, is itself crystalline. Second, we show that every admissible filtered $ϕ$-module "comes from" a $(ϕ,Γ)$-module of finite q-height.
Fontaine's $D_{\mathrm{cris}}$ functor allow us to associate an isocrystal to any crystalline representation. For a reductive group $G$, we study the reduction of lattices inside a germ of crystalline representations with $G$-structure $V$ to lattices (which are crystals) with $G$-structure inside $D_{\mathrm{cris}}(V)$. Using Kisin modules theory, we give a description of this reduction in terms of $G$, in the case when the representation $V$ is ($G$-)ordinary. In order to do that, first we need to generalize Fargues' construction of the Harder-Narasimhan filtration for $p$-divisible groups t…
The question of computing the reductions modulo $p$ of two-dimensional crystalline $p$-adic Galois representations has been studied extensively, and partial progress has been made for representations that have small weights, very small slopes, or very large slopes. It was conjectured by Breuil, Buzzard, and Emerton that these reductions are irreducible if they have even weight and non-integer slope. We prove some instances of this conjecture for slopes up to $\frac{p-1}{2}$.
We extend the theory of Kisin modules and crystalline representations to allow more general coefficient fields and lifts of Frobenius. In particular, for a finite and totally ramified extension $F/\mathbb Q_p$, and an arbitrary finite extension $K/F$, we construct a general class of infinite and totally wildly ramified extensions $K_\infty/K$ so that the functor $V\mapsto V|_{G_{K_\infty}}$ is fully-faithfull on the category of $F$-crystalline representations $V$. We also establish a new classification of $F$-Barsotti-Tate groups via Kisin modules of height 1 which allows more general lifts of…
We show that the universal unitary completion of certain locally algebraic representation of $G:=\GL_2(\Qp)$ with $p>2$ is non-zero, topologically irreducible, admissible and corresponds to a 2-dimensional crystalline representation with non-semisimple Frobenius via the $p$-adic Langlands correspondence for $G$.
We use the p-adic local Langlands correspondence for GL_2(Q_p) to find the reduction modulo p of certain two-dimensional crystalline Galois representations. In particular, we resolve a conjecture of Breuil, Buzzard, and Emerton in the case when the slope is strictly between one and three, and prove partial results towards this conjecture for arbitrary slopes. Moreover, we partially classify the reduction modulo p of these representations when the slope is equal to one.
We describe an algorithm to compute the reduction modulo $p$ of a crystalline Galois representation of dimension $2$ of $\text{Gal}(\overline{\mathbf{Q}}_p/\mathbf{Q}_p)$ with distinct Hodge-Tate weights via the semi-simple modulo $p$ Langlands correspondence. We give some examples computed with an implementation of this algorithm in SAGE.
We prove the existence of local constancy phenomena for reductions in a general prime power setting of two-dimensional irreducible crystalline representations. Up to twist, these representations depend on two parameters: a trace $a_p$ and a weight $k$. We find an (explicit) local constancy result with respect to $a_p$ using Fontaine's theory of $(φ, Γ)$-modules and its crystalline refinement due to Berger via Wach modules and their continuity properties. The local constancy result with respect to $k$ (for $a_p\not=0$) will follow from a local study of Colmez's rigid analytic space parametrizin…
We study integral structures of crystalline representations over an unramified extension $K / \mathbb{Q}_p$ with the help of an auxillary ring $A_{\textrm{exp}}$. This ring has the nice property that it contains the the fundamental period (and its inverse) of $p$-adic Hodge theory, up to powers of $p$. We establish an exact sequence using $A_{\textrm{exp}}$ and Frobenii on its filtration, give a link to Fontaine-Laffaille modules and the Bloch-Kato fundamental exact sequence and finally compute the integral finite part of a lattice of a crystalline representation, giving a connection to the lo…
We determine rational Kisin modules associated with two-dimensional, irreducible, crystalline representations of $\mathrm{Gal}(\overline{\mathbb{Q}}_p/\mathbb{Q}_p)$ of Hodge-Tate weights $0, k-1$. If the slope is larger than $\lfloor \frac{k-1}{p} \rfloor$, we further identify an integral Kisin module, which we use to calculate the semisimple reduction of the Galois representation. In that range, we find that the reduction is constant, thereby improving on a theorem of Berger, Li, and Zhu.
We prove some new cases of weight part of Serre's conjectures for mod $p$ Galois representations associated to automorphic representations on unitary groups $U(d)$. The approach is a generalization of the work of Gee-Liu-Savitt, namely, we study reductions of certain crystalline representations, as well as crystalline lifts of these reductions.
Let $K$ be a field of characteristic zero complete for a discrete valuation, with perfect residue field of characteristic $p>0$, and let $K^+$ be the valuation ring of $K$. We relate the log-crystalline cohomology of the special fibre of certain affine $K^+$-schemes $X=\text{Spec}(R)$ with semi-stable reduction to the Galois cohomology of the fundamental group of the geometric generic fibre $π_1(X_{\bar{K}})$ with coefficients in a Fontaine ring constructed from $R$. This is based on Faltings' theory of almost étale extensions.
We study the mod $p$ reduction of crystalline local Galois representations of dimension 2 under certain conditions on its weight and slope. Berger showed that for a fixed non-zero trace of the Frobenius, the reduction process is locally constant for varying weights. By explicit computation we obtain an upper bound that is a linear function of the slope, for the radius of this local constancy around some special points in the weight space.
Let K be a p-adic local field with residue field k such that [k:k^p]=p^e<\infty and V be a p-adic representation of Gal(\bar{K}/K). Then, by using the theory of p-adic differential modules, we show that V is a potentially crystalline (resp. potentially semi-stable) representation of Gal(\bar{K}/K) if and only if V is a potentially crystalline (resp. potentially semi-stable) representation of Gal(\bar{K^{pf}}/K^{pf}) where K^{pf}/K is a certain p-adic local field whose residue field is the smallest perfect field k^{pf} containing k. As an application, we prove the p-adic monodromy theorem of Fo…
We show that a sufficient condition for an irreducible automorphic Galois representation $ρ: G_F\to\mathrm{GL}_2({\overline{\bf F}_p})$ of a totally real field $F$ to have an automorphic crystalline lift is that for each place $v$ of $F$ above $p$ the restriction $\mathrm{det}ρ|_{I_v}$ is a fixed power of the mod $p$ cyclotomic character. Moreover, we show that the only obstruction to controlling the level and character of such automorphic lifts arises for badly dihedral representations.
A conjecture of Breuil, Buzzard, and Emerton says that the slopes of certain reducible $p$-adic Galois representations must be integers. In previous work we showed this conjecture for representations that lie over certain non-subtle components of weight space. This article is a continuation of that work in which we completely classify the aforementioned representations over the non-subtle components of weight space, both for integer and non-integer slopes.
Let $p$ be an odd prime number, $K_{f}$ the finite unramified extension of $\mathbb{Q}_{p}$ of degree $f$, and $G_{K_{f}}$ its absolute Galois group. We construct analytic families of étale $(φ,Γ)$-modules which give rise to some families of 2-dimensional crystalline representations of $G_{K_{f}}$ with length of filtration $\geq p$. As an application, we prove that the modulo $p$ reductions of the members of each such family (with respect to appropriately chosen Galois-stable lattices) are constant.
Let $K$ be an unramified extension of $\mathbb{Q}_p$ and $ρ\colon G_K \rightarrow \operatorname{GL}_n(\overline{\mathbb{Z}}_p)$ a crystalline representation. If the Hodge--Tate weights of $ρ$ differ by at most $p$ then we show that these weights are contained in a natural collection of weights depending only on the restriction to inertia of $\overlineρ = ρ\otimes_{\overline{\mathbb{Z}}_p} \overline{\mathbb{F}}_p$. Our methods involve the study of a full subcategory of $p$-torsion Breuil--Kisin modules which we view as extending Fontaine--Laffaille theory to filtrations of length $p$.
Irreducible crystalline representations of dimension 2 of Gal(Qpbar/Qp) depend up to twist on two parameters, the weight k and the trace of frobenius a_p. We show that the reduction modulo p of such a representation is a locally constant function of a_p (with an explicit radius) and a locally constant function of the weight k if a_p <> 0. We then give an algorithm for computing the reductions modulo p of these representations. The main ingredient is Fontaine's theory of (phi,Gamma)-modules as well as the theory of Wach modules.
The aim of this article is to prove Zariski density of crystalline representations in the rigid analytic space associated to the universal deformation ring of a d-dimensional mod p representation of Gal(\bar{K}/K) for any d and for any p-adic field K. This is a generalization of the results of Colmez, Kisin (d=2, K=Q_p), of the author (d=2, any K), of Chenevier (any d, K=Q_p). A key ingredient for the proof is to construct a p-adic family of trianguline representations. In this article, we construct (an approximation of) this family by generalizing Kisin's theory of finite slope subspace X_{fs…
Let K be a complete discrete valuation field of mixed characteristic (0,p) with perfect residue field. Let (π_n)_{n\ge 0} be a system of p-power roots of a uniformizer π=π_0 of K with π^p_{n+1}=π_n, and define G_s (resp.\ G_{\infty}) the absolute Galois group of K(π_s) (resp.\ K_{\infty}:=\bigcup_{n\ge 0} K(π_n)). In this paper, we study G_s-equivatiantness properties of G_{\infty}-equivariant homomorphisms between torsion (potentially) crystalline representations
We study G-valued semi-stable Galois deformation rings where G is a reductive group. We develop a theory of Kisin modules with G-structure and use this to identify the connected components of crystalline deformation rings of minuscule p-adic Hodge type with the connected components of moduli of "finite flat models with G-structure." The main ingredients are a construction in integral p-adic Hodge theory using Liu's theory of $(φ, \widehat{G})$-modules and the local models constructed by Pappas and Zhu.
We consider the family of irreducible crystalline representations of dimension $2$ of ${\rm Gal}(\overline{\bf Q}_p/{\bf Q}_p)$ given by the $V_{k,a_p}$ for a fixed weight integer $k\geq 2$. We study the locus of the parameter $a_p$ where these representations have a given reduction modulo $p$. We give qualitative results on this locus and show that for a fixed $p$ and $k$ it can be computed by determining the reduction modulo $p$ of $V_{k,a_p}$ for a finite number of values of the parameter $a_p$. We also generalize these results to other Galois types.
A conjecture of Breuil, Buzzard, and Emerton says that the slopes of certain reducible $p$-adic Galois representations must be integers. In previous work we showed this conjecture for representations that lie over certain non-subtle components of weight space. This article is a continuation of that work in which we also show the conjecture for the subtle components for slopes less than $\frac{p-1}{2}$.
Let $k$ be a perfect field of characteristic $p > 2$, and let $K$ be a finite totally ramified extension over $W(k)[\frac{1}{p}]$ of ramification degree $e$. Let $R_0$ be a relative base ring over $W(k)\langle t_1^{\pm 1}, \ldots, t_m^{\pm 1}\rangle$ satisfying some mild conditions, and let $R = R_0\otimes_{W(k)}\mathcal{O}_K$. We show that if $e < p-1$, then every crystalline representation of $π_1^{\text{ét}}(\mathrm{Spec}R[\frac{1}{p}])$ with Hodge-Tate weights in $[0, 1]$ arises from a $p$-divisible group over $R$.
Let $k$ be a perfect field of characteristic $p > 2$, and let $K$ be a finite totally ramified extension over $W(k)[\frac{1}{p}]$. Let $R_0$ be an unramified relative base ring over $W(k)\langle X_1^{\pm 1}, \ldots, X_d^{\pm 1}\rangle$, and let $R = R_0\otimes_{W(k)}\mathcal{O}_K$. We define relative $B$-pairs and study their relations to weakly admissible $R_0[\frac{1}{p}]$-modules and $\mathbf{Q}_p$-representations. As an application, when $R = \mathcal{O}_K[\![Y]\!]$ with $k = \overline{k}$, we show that every rank $2$ horizontal crystalline representation with Hodge-Tate weights in $[0, 1]…
Let K be a finite extension of Qp. We fix a continuous absolutely irreducible representation of the absolute Galois group of K over a finite dimensional vector space with coefficient in a finite field of characteristic p and consider its universal deformation ring R. If we fix a regular set of Hodge-Tate weights k, we prove, under some hypothesis, that the closed points of Spec(R[1/p]) corresponding to potentially crystalline representations of fixed Hodge-Tate weights k are dense in Spec(R[1/p]) for the Zariski topology.
Let $\mathbf{B}(V)$ be the admissible unitary $GL_2(\mathbb{Q}_p)$-representation associated to two dimensional crystalline Galois representation $V$ by $p$-adic Langlands constructed by Breuil. Berger and Breuil conjectured an explicit description of the locally analytic vectors $\mathbf{B}(V)_{\mathrm{la}}$ of $\mathbf{B}(V)$ which is now proved by Liu. Emerton recently studied $p$-adic representations from the viewpoint of rigid analytic geometry. In this article, we consider certain rigid analytic subgroups of $GL(2)$ and give an explicit description of the rigid analytic vectors in $\math…
The aim of this article is to study deformation theory of trianguline B-pairs for any p-adic field. For benign B-pairs, a special good class of trianguline B-pairs, we prove a main theorem concerning tangent spaces of these deformation spaces. These are generalizations of Bellaiche-Chenevier's and Chenevier's works in the Q_p case, where they used (ϕ,Γ)-modules over the Robba ring instead of using B-pairs. As an application of this theory, in the final chapter, we prove a theorem concerning Zariski density of two dimensional crystalline representations for any p-adic field, which is a generali…
