In this paper we give some relationships among the Groebner-Shirshov bases in free associative algebras, free left modules and "double-free" left modules (free modules over a free algebra). We give the Chibrikov's Composition-Diamond lemma for modules and show that Kang-Lee's Composition-Diamond lemma follows from this lemma. As applications, we also deal with highest weight module over the Lie algebra $sl_2$, Verma module over a Kac-Moody algebra, Verma module over Lie algebra of coefficients of a free conformal algebra and the universal enveloping module for a Sabinin algebra.

As an application, we prove that every countably generated non-associative algebra over an arbitrary commutative algebra $K$ can be embedded into a two-generated non-associative algebra over $K$.
This paper shows how to obtain the key concepts and notations of Garside theory by using the Composition--Diamond lemma. We also show in some cases the greedy normal form is exactly a Gröbner--Shirshov normal form and a family of a left-cancellative category is a Garside family, if and only if a suitable set of reductions is confluent up to some congruence on words.

Let $A$ be a brace algebra. This structure implies that $A$ is also a pre-Lie algebra. In this paper, we establish Composition-Diamond lemma for brace algebras. Using this Composition-Diamond lemma we prove that each pre-Lie algebra $L$ can be embedded into a brace algebra $A_L$, i.e., $L$ is a pre-Lie subalgebra of $A_L$ up to isomorphism. We also determine an explicit linear basis for the brace algebra $A_{L}$.
In this paper, by using the Composition-Diamond lemma for non-associative algebras invented by A. I. Shirshov in 1962, we give Gröbner-Shirshov bases for free Pre-Lie algebras and the universal enveloping non-associative algebra of an Akivis algebra, respectively. As applications, we show I.P. The notion of commutative integro-differential algebra was introduced for the algebraic study of boundary problems for linear ordinary differential equations. Its noncommutative analog achieves a similar purpose for linear systems of such equations. In both cases, free objects are crucial for analyzing the underlying algebraic structures, e.g. of the (matrix) functions. We show that a Jordan-Hölder theorem holds for appropriately defined composition series of finite dimensional Hopf algebras. This answers an open question of N. Andruskiewitsch. In the course of our proof we establish analogues of the Noether isomorphism theorems of group theory for arbitrary Hopf algebras under certain faithful (co)flatness assumptions. As an application, we prove an analogue of Zassenhaus' butterfly lemma for finite dimensional Hopf algebras. In this paper, we give a Gröbner-Shirshov basis for the finitely presented semigroup algebra $\mathbf{k}[S_n(Sym_n)]$ defined by permutation relations of symmetric type. As an application, by the Composition-Diamond Lemma, we obtain normal forms of elements of momoid $S_n(Sym_n)$, which gives an answer to an open problem posted by F. Cedó, E. Jespers and J. Okniński [7] for the symmetric group case.
One of the natural ways to prove that the Hall words (Philip Hall, 1933) consist of a basis of a free Lie algebra is a direct construction: to start with a linear space spanned by Hall words, to define the Lie product of Hall words, and then to check that the product yields the Lie identities (Marshall Hall, 1950). Here we suggest another way using the Composition-Diamond lemma for free anti-commutative (non-associative) algebras (A.I. Shirshov, 1962).
In this paper, we establish the Composition-Diamond lemma for associative algebras with multiple linear operators. As applications, we obtain Groebner-Shirshov bases of free Rota-Baxter algebra, $λ$-differential algebra and $λ$-differential Rota-Baxter algebra, respectively. We present the plactic algebra on an arbitrary alphabet set $A$ by row generators and column generators respectively. We give Gröbner-Shirshov bases for such presentations. In the case of column generators, a finite Gröbner-Shirshov basis is given if $A$ is finite. From the Composition-Diamond lemma for associative algebras, it follows that the set of Young tableaux is a linear basis of plactic algebra. In this paper, we construct a canonical linear basis for free commutative integro-differential algebras by applying the method of Gröbner-Shirshov bases. We establish the Composition-Diamond Lemma for free commutative differential Rota-Baxter algebras of order $n$.
