Possible theoretical frameworks for measurement of (arrival) time in the nonrelativistic quantum mechanics are reviewed. It is argued that the ambiguity between indirect measurements by a suitably introduced time operator and direct measurements by a physical clock particle has a counterpart in the corresponding classical framework of measurement of the Newtonian time based on the Hamiltonian mechanics.

It is shown that if a potential in a nonrelativistic system of Fermi particles has a sufficiently strong singularity, anomalies (nonzero values of quantities formally equal to zero) will probably appear. For different types of singularities (in paticular, for the Coulomb potential), anomalies associated with the energy and total number of particles in the system are calculated. These anomalies may be beneficial in deriving a semiclassical description of electron- nuclear systems.
A realistic axiomatic formulation of nonrelativistic quantum mechanics for a single microsystem with spin is presented, from which the most important theorems of the theory can be deduced. In comparison with previous formulations, the formal aspect has been improved by the use of certain mathematical theories, such as the theory of equipped spaces, and group theory. The standard formalism is naturally obtained from the latter, starting from a central primitive concept: the Galilei group.
It was recently shown that, in general, the von Neumann spin entropy of fermionic particles is not invariant under Lorentz boosts. Relativistic free-motion time-of-arrival theory for massive spin-1/2 particles is systematically developed. Contrary to the nonrelativistic time-of-arrival operator studied thoroughly in previous literatures, the relativistic time-of-arrival operator possesses self-adjoint extensions because of the particle-antiparticle symmetry. Quantum mechanics of bending of a nonrelativistic monoenergetic charged particle beam by a dipole magnet is studied in the paraxial approximation. The transfer map for the position and momentum components of a particle of the beam between two transverse planes at different points on the curved optic axis of the system is derived starting with the nonrelativistic Schrödinger equation. Quantum Space-Time and Phase Space with fuzzy geometric structure are studied as possible formalism for quantization of massive particles and fields. In this approach the state of nonrelativistic particle m described by the fuzzy point of fuzzy (weakly) ordered Manifold X. The kinematic time operator can be naturally defined in relativistic and nonrelativistic quantum mechanics (QM) by treating time on an equal footing with space. The spacetime-position operator acts in the Hilbert space of functions of space and time. Dynamics, however, makes eigenstates of the time operator unphysical. This poses a problem for the standard interpretation of QM and reinforces the role of alternative interpretations such as the Bohmian one. The Bohmian interpretation, despite of being nonlocal in accordance with the Bell theorem, is shown to be relativistic covariant.

Their supersymmetries are determined and their closed subsets generating kinematical invariance Lie superalgebras are pointed out. The study of even supersymmetries is particularly enlightened through the already known symmetries of the corresponding Schrödinger equation. We present a generic Markovian master equation inducing the gradual classicalization of a bosonic quantum field. It leads to the decoherence of quantum superpositions of field configurations, while leaving the Ehrenfest equations for both the field and the mode-variables invariant. I expose nonrelativistic quantum electrodynamics in the Weyl-Wigner representation. Hence I prove that an approximation to first order in Planck constant has formal analogy with stochastic electrodynamics (SED), that is classical electrodynamics of charged particles immersed in a random radiation filling space. The analogy elucidates why SED agrees with quantum theory for particle Hamiltonians quadratic in coordinates and momenta, but fails otherwise.

In classical mechanics, a nonrelativistic particle constrained on an $N-1$ curved hypersurface embedded in $N$ flat space experiences the centripetal force only. In quantum mechanics, the situation is totally different for the presence of the geometric potential. We demonstrate that the motion of the quantum particle is "driven" by not only the the centripetal force, but also a curvature induced force proportional to the Laplacian of the mean curvature, which is fundamental in the interface physics, causing curvature driven interface evolution.
The Hellmann-Feynman, virial and comparison theorems are three fundamental theorems of quantum mechanics. For the first two, counterparts exist for classical mechanics with relativistic or nonrelativistic kinetic energy. It is shown here that these three theorems are valid for classical mechanics with a nonstandard kinetic energy. This brings some information about the connections between the quantum and classical worlds. Constraints about the functional form of the kinetic energy are also discussed.
This paper defines, on the Galilean space-time, the group of asymptotically Euclidean transformations (AET), which are equivalent to Euclidean transformations at space-time infinity, and proposes a formulation of nonrelativistic quantum mechanics which is invariant under such transformations. This formulation is based on the asymptotic quantum measure, which is shown to be invariant under AET's. This invariance exposes an important connection between AET's and Feynman path integrals, and reveals the nonmetric character of the asymptotic quantum measure. In nonrelativistic quantum mechanics the wave-function of a free particle which initially is in a finite volume immediately spreads to infinity. In a nonrelativistic theory this is of no concern, but we show that the same instantaneous spreading can occur in relativistic quantum theory and that transition probabilities in widely separated systems may instantaneously become nonzero. We discuss how this affects Einstein causality.
