Recently it has been shown that the spinnless one particle quantum mechanics can be obtained in the framework of entirely classical subquantum kinetics. In the present paper we argue that, within the same scheme and without any extra assumption, it is possible to obtain both the non relativistic quantum mechanics with spin, in the presence of an arbitrary external electromagnetic field, as well as the nonlinear quantum mechanics.

Recently, the one particle quantum mechanics has been obtained in the framework of an entirely classical subquantum kinetics. In the present paper we argue that, within the same scheme and without any additional assumption, it is possible to obtain also the $n$-particle non relativistic quantum mechanics. The main goal of the present effort is to show that the classical BBGKY hierarchical equation, for the $n$-particle reduced distribution function, is the ancestor of the $n$-particle Schrödinger equation. On the other hand we show that within the scenario of the subquantum structure of quantu…
The scientific methodology based on two descriptive levels, ontic (reality as it is ) and epistemic (observational), is briefly presented. Following Schrödinger, we point to the possible gap between these two descriptions. Our main aim is to show that, although ontic entities may be inaccessible for observations, they can be useful for clarification of the physical nature of operational epistemic entities. We illustrate this thesis by the concrete example: starting with the concrete ontic model preceding quantum mechanics (the latter is treated as an epistemic model), namely, prequantum classi…
This paper critically considers the main interpretations of the wave function and offers an interpretation in which wave function is a consequence of subquantum processes taking place at the level of the organization of matter which underlies the phenomena described by quantum mechanics. We show that this interpretation provides a common ground to explain problematic issues of quantum theory (wave function collapse, electrons passing through two slits, behavior of electrons within the atom, quantum entanglement). The paper also shows that entropy is determined by the maximum number of macrosys…
In the paper, we discuss the studies of mathematical models of diffusion scattering of waves in the phase space, and relation of these models with quantum mechanics. In the previous works it is shown that in these models of classical scattering process of waves, the quantum mechanical description arises as the asymptotics after a small time. In this respect, the proposed models can be considered as examples in which the quantum descriptions arise as approximate ones for certain hypothetical reality. The deviation between the proposed models and the quantum ones can arise, for example, for proc…
The outcome of a single quantum experiment is unpredictable, except in a pure-state limit. The definite process that takes place in the apparatus may either be intrinsically random or be explainable from a deeper theory. While the first scenario is the standard lore, the latter implies that quantum mechanics is emergent. In that case, it is likely that one has to reconsider radiation by accelerated charges as a physical effect, which thus must be compensated by an energy input. Stochastic electrodynamics, for example, asserts that the vacuum energy arises from classical fluctuations with energ…
In this work we analyse critically Griffiths's example of the classical superluminal motion of a bug shadow. Griffiths considers that this example is conceptually very close to quantum nonlocality or superluminality,i.e. quantum breaking of the famous Bell inequality. Or, generally, he suggests implicitly an absolute asymmetric duality (subluminality vs. superluminality) principle in any fundamental physical theory. It, he hopes, can be used for a natural interpretation of the quantum mechanics too. But we explain that such Griffiths's interpretation retires implicitly but significantly from us…
We present models in which the indeterministic feature of Quantum Mechanics is represented in the form of definite physical mechanisms. Our way is completely different from so-called hidden parameter models, namely, we start from a certain variant of QM - deterministic QM - which has most features similar to QM, but the evolution in this theory is deterministic. Then we introduce the subquantum medium composed of so-called space-like objects. The interaction of a deterministic QM-particle with this medium is represented by the random force, but it is the random force governed by the probabilit…
In a series of previous papers we developed a purely field model of microphenomena, so called prequantum classical statistical field theory (PCSFT). This model not only reproduces important probabilistic predictions of QM including correlations for entangled systems, but it also gives a possibility to go beyond quantum mechanics (QM), i.e., to make predictions of phenomena which could be observed at the subquantum level. In this paper we discuss one of such predictions - existence of nonlocal correlations between prequantum random fields corresponding to {\it all} quantum systems. (And by PCSF…
Combining high and low probability densities in intensity hybrids, we study some of their properties in double-slit setups. In particular, we connect to earlier results on beam attenuation techniques in neutron interferometry and study the effects of very small transmission factors, or very low counting rates, respectively, at one of the two slits. We use a "superclassical" modeling procedure which we have previously shown to produce predictions identical with those of standard quantum theory. Although in accordance with the latter, we show that there are previously unexpected new effects in i…
The paper is a brief informal introduction to C*-algebraic foundations of causal contextual subquantum theories. In particular, it is explained how the contextuality property (which is a necessary consistency condition of all causal subquantum theories) naturally appears within the framework of certain C*-algebraic extensions of the quantum observables algebras. Furthermore, a question of locality is discussed. It is explained that the appropriate non-Kolmogorovian probability theory allows us to unify both locality and causality with the principles of quantum mechanics, overcoming the obstacl…
It is proved from stated assumptions of nonrelativistic quantum mechanics based on the Schroedinger equation that identical spin-zero particles must obey symmetric statistics.
We emphasize that there is no spin-statistics connection in nonrelativistic quantum mechanics. In several recent papers, including Phys. Rev. A 67, 042102 (2003) [quant-ph/0207017], quantum mechanics is modified so as to force a spin-statistics connection, but the resulting theory is quite different from standard physics.
Possible theoretical frameworks for measurement of (arrival) time in the nonrelativistic quantum mechanics are reviewed. It is argued that the ambiguity between indirect measurements by a suitably introduced time operator and direct measurements by a physical clock particle has a counterpart in the corresponding classical framework of measurement of the Newtonian time based on the Hamiltonian mechanics.
We present the pedagogical method of Tridiagonal representation approach,an algebraic method for the solution of Schrodinger equation in nonrelativistic quantum mechanics for conventional potential functions. However, we solved a new three parameters potential function recently encountered using it as an example
In a previous paper [quant-ph/0207017] I gave an elementary proof, starting from stated assumptions of nonrelativistic quantum mechanics, that identical spin-zero particles must be bosons. Since then it has been suggested that my proof assumed its conclusion, and that it is based on a theory "quite different from standard physics." [quant-ph/0304088] I show here that those two statements are incorrect.
We extend to quantum mechanical systems results previously obtained for classical mechanical systems, concerning time reversibility in presence of a magnetic field. As in the classical case, results like the Onsager reciprocal relations are consequently obtained, without recourse to the Casimir modification. The quantum systems treated here are nonrelativistic, and are described by the Schr{ö}dinger equation or the Pauli equation. In particular, we prove that the spin-field interaction does not break the time reversal invariance (TRI) of the dynamics, and that it does not require additional co…
This paper presents a new Symmetrical Theory (ST) of nonrelativistic quantum mechanics which postulates: quantum mechanics is a theory about complete experiments, not particles; a complete experiment is maximally described by a complex transition amplitude density; and this transition amplitude density never collapses. This new ST is compared to the Conventional Theory (CT) of nonrelativistic quantum mechanics for the analysis of a beam-splitter experiment. The ST makes several experimentally testable predictions that differ from the CT, which can be checked using existing technology. The ST a…
The one particle quantum mechanics is considered in the frame of a N-body classical kinetics in the phase space. Within this framework, the scenario of a subquantum structure for the quantum particle, emerges naturally, providing an ontological support to the orthodox quantum mechanics. This approach to quantum mechanics, constitutes a deductive and direct method which, in a self-consistent scheme of a classical kinetics, allows us: i) to obtain the probabilistic nature of the quantum description and to interpret the wave function $ψ$ according to the Copenhagen school; ii) to derive the quant…
It is shown that if a potential in a nonrelativistic system of Fermi particles has a sufficiently strong singularity, anomalies (nonzero values of quantities formally equal to zero) will probably appear. For different types of singularities (in paticular, for the Coulomb potential), anomalies associated with the energy and total number of particles in the system are calculated. These anomalies may be beneficial in deriving a semiclassical description of electron- nuclear systems.
A realistic axiomatic formulation of nonrelativistic quantum mechanics for a single microsystem with spin is presented, from which the most important theorems of the theory can be deduced. In comparison with previous formulations, the formal aspect has been improved by the use of certain mathematical theories, such as the theory of equipped spaces, and group theory. The standard formalism is naturally obtained from the latter, starting from a central primitive concept: the Galilei group.
It was recently shown that, in general, the von Neumann spin entropy of fermionic particles is not invariant under Lorentz boosts. We show that an analogous result can be recovered (at the lowest order of $v^2 /c^2$) using plain nonrelativistic quantum mechanics provided one uses that energy weighs: $E=m c^2$. This should (i) help to moderate the skepticism on the observer-dependence of the spin entropy of fermionic particles, (ii) emphasize the soft relativistic nature of this result, and (iii) show that this is a particular case of a more general class of systems, since our calculation only …
Recently a sufficient and necessary condition for Pauli's spin- statistics connection in nonrelativistic quantum mechanics has been established [quant-ph/0208151]. The two-dimensional part of this result is extended to n-particle systems and reformulated and further simplified in a more geometric language.
With the use of a second derivative test based on constrained second derivatives, a proof is given that excited states in nonrelativistic quantum mechanics are saddle points of the energy expectation value, and is shown, further, how to determine their Morse index.
Quantum mechanics of bending of a nonrelativistic monoenergetic charged particle beam by a dipole magnet is studied in the paraxial approximation. The transfer map for the position and momentum components of a particle of the beam between two transverse planes at different points on the curved optic axis of the system is derived starting with the nonrelativistic Schrödinger equation. It is found that the quantum transfer map contains the classical transfer map as the main part and there are tiny quantum correction terms. The negligibly small quantum corrections explain the remarkable success o…
Energy equipartition is appropriate only for nonrelativistic classical mechanics, but has only limited relevance for a relativistic theory such as classical electrodynamics. In this article, we discuss harmonic-oscillator thermal equilibrium from three different perspectives. First, we contrast the thermal equilibrium of nonrelativistic mechanical oscillators (where point collisions are allowed and frequency is irrelevant) with the equilibrium of relativistic radiation modes (where frequency is crucial). The Rayleigh-Jeans law appears from applying a dipole-radiation approximation to impose th…
In this second paper in a series, we show that the the general statistical approach to nonrelativistic quantum mechanics developed in the first paper yields a representation of quantum spin and magnetic moments based on classical nonrelativistic spinning top models, using Euler angle coordinates. The models allow half-odd-integer spin and predict supraluminal speeds only for electrons and other leptons, which must be treated relativistically. The spin operators in the space-fixed frame satisfy the usual commutation rules, while those in the rotating body-fixed frame satisfy "left-handed" rules…
In this work we consider non-relativistic quantum mechanics, obtained from a classical configuration space Q of indistinguishable particles. Following an approach proposed by one of the authors, wave functions are regarded as elements of suitable projective modules over C(Q). We take furthermore into account the G-Theory point of view, where the role of group action is particularly emphasized. As an example illustrating the method, the case of two particles is worked out in detail. Previous works aiming at a proof of a spin-statistics theorem for non-relativistic quantum mechanics are re-consi…
The kinematic time operator can be naturally defined in relativistic and nonrelativistic quantum mechanics (QM) by treating time on an equal footing with space. The spacetime-position operator acts in the Hilbert space of functions of space and time. Dynamics, however, makes eigenstates of the time operator unphysical. This poses a problem for the standard interpretation of QM and reinforces the role of alternative interpretations such as the Bohmian one. The Bohmian interpretation, despite of being nonlocal in accordance with the Bell theorem, is shown to be relativistic covariant.
Relativistic free-motion time-of-arrival theory for massive spin-1/2 particles is systematically developed. Contrary to the nonrelativistic time-of-arrival operator studied thoroughly in previous literatures, the relativistic time-of-arrival operator possesses self-adjoint extensions because of the particle-antiparticle symmetry. The nonrelativistic limit of our theory is in agreement with the nonrelativistic time-of-arrival theory.
We extend the standard solid-state quantum mechanical Hamiltonian containing only Coulomb interactions between the charged particles by inclusion of $1/c^2$ terms representing (transverse) current-current interaction. For its derivation we use the classical formulation of Landau-Lifshitz, however consequently in the Coulomb gauge. Our Hamiltonian does not coincide with the Darwin Hamiltonian and we emphasize the mathematical inconsistency in its derivation. We show, that the quantized version of our Hamiltonian is equivalent to the non-relativistic QED considering only states without photons a…
We formulate a simple condition for reconstructibility of a certain class of Hamiltonians with real potentials from the knowledge of their complex-valued eigenfunctions. This may be relevant to the question of preparability of quantum states raised by W. Lamb in his 1969 paper on operational interpretation of quantum mechanics. Of particular interest to engineering applications are: (a) an exotic case of an upside-down harmonic-oscillator-type potential (a variation of the inverted "Mexican hat" potential) whose square-integrable complex eigenfunction describes a localized scattering state sim…
One-dimensional nonrelativistic systems are studied when time-independent potential interactions are involved. Their supersymmetries are determined and their closed subsets generating kinematical invariance Lie superalgebras are pointed out. The study of even supersymmetries is particularly enlightened through the already known symmetries of the corresponding Schrödinger equation. Three tables collect the even, odd, and total supersymmetries as well as the invariance (super)algebras.
The Principle of Least Action is used with a simple Lagrangian density, involving second-order derivatives of the wave function, to obtain the Schroedinger equation. A Hamiltonian density obtained from this simple Lagrangian density shows that Hamilton's equations also give the Schroedinger equation. This simple Lagrangian density is equivalent to a standard Lagrangian density with first-order derivatives. For a time-independent system the Principle of Least Action reduces to the energy variational principle. For time-dependent systems the Principle of Least Action gives time-dependent approxi…
In this initial paper in a series, we first discuss why classical motions of small particles should be treated statistically. Then we show that any attempted statistical description of any nonrelativistic classical system inevitably yields the multi-coordinate Schrödinger equation, with its usual boundary conditions, as an essential statistical equation for the system. We derive the general "canonical quantization" rule, that the Hamiltonian operator must be the classical Hamiltonian in the $N$-dimensional metric configuration space defined by the classical kinetic energy of the system, with t…
Quantum Space-Time and Phase Space with fuzzy geometric structure are studied as possible formalism for quantization of massive particles and fields. In this approach the state of nonrelativistic particle m described by the fuzzy point of fuzzy (weakly) ordered Manifold X. Due to m partial ordering in X m coordinate x principal uncertainty is generic in this ansatz. It's shown that in 1+1 dimension such Fuzzy Mechanics (FM) is equivalent to Path Integral formalism of Quantum Mechanics (QM).
We propose a version of the non-relativistic quantum mechanics in which the pure states of a quantum system are described as sections of a Hilbert (generally infinitely-dimensional) fibre bundle over the space-time. There evolution is governed via (a kind of) a parallel transport in this bundle. Some problems concerning observables are considered. There are derived the equations of motion for the state sections and observables. We show that up to a constant the matrix of the coefficients of the evolution operator (transport) coincides with the matrix of the Hamiltonian of the investigated quan…
In previous work we have developed a formulation of quantum mechanics in non-inertial reference frames. This formulation is grounded in a class of unitary cocycle representations of what we have called the Galilean line group, the generalization of the Galilei group that includes transformations amongst non-inertial reference frames. These representations show that in quantum mechanics, just as is the case in classical mechanics, the transformations to accelerating reference frames give rise to fictitious forces. A special feature of these previously constructed representations is that they al…
The nonrelativistic Schroedinger equation for motion of a structureless particle in four-dimensional space-time entails a well-known expression for the conserved four-vector field of local probability density and current that are associated with a quantum state solution to the equation. Under the physical assumption that each spatial, as well as the temporal, component of this current is observable, the position in time becomes an operator and an observable in that the weighted average value of the time of the particle's crossing of a complete hyperplane can be simply defined: ... When the spa…
We propose a new systematic fibre bundle formulation of nonrelativistic quantum mechanics. The new form of the theory is equivalent to the usual one but it is in harmony with the modern trends in theoretical physics and potentially admits new generalizations in different directions. In it a pure state of some quantum system is described by a state section (along paths) of a (Hilbert) fibre bundle. It's evolution is determined through the bundle (analogue of the) Schrödinger equation. Now the dynamical variables and the density operator are described via bundle morphisms (along paths). In 19th century (in the process of transition from mechanics to the field theory) the German school of theoretical physics confronted problems similar to the basic problems in the foundations of quantum mechanics (QM). Hertz tried to resolve such problem through analysis of the notion of a scientific theory and interrelation of theory and experiment. This analysis led him to the Bild (image) conception of theory (which was latter essentially developed, but also modified by Boltzmann). In this paper we claim that to resolve the basic foundational problems of QM, one has to use the Bild concepti…
A necessary and sufficient condition for Pauli's spin-statistics relation is given for nonrelativistic anyons, bosons, and fermions in two and three spatial dimensions. For any point particle species in two spatial dimensions, denote by J the total (i.e., spin plus orbital) angular momentum of a single particle, and denote by j the total angular momentum of the corresponding two-particle system with respect to its center of mass. In three spatial dimensions, write J_z and j_z for the z-components of these vector operators. In two spatial dimensions, the spin statistics connection holds if and …
Geometric (Schrodinger) quantization of nonrelativistic mechanics with respect to different reference frames is considered. In classical nonrelativistic mechanics, a reference frame is represented by a connection on a configuration space fibered over a time axis. Under quantization, it yields a connection on the quantum algebra of Schrodinger operators. The operators of energy with respect to different reference frames are examined.
In classical mechanics, a nonrelativistic particle constrained on an $N-1$ curved hypersurface embedded in $N$ flat space experiences the centripetal force only. In quantum mechanics, the situation is totally different for the presence of the geometric potential. We demonstrate that the motion of the quantum particle is "driven" by not only the the centripetal force, but also a curvature induced force proportional to the Laplacian of the mean curvature, which is fundamental in the interface physics, causing curvature driven interface evolution.
The star product formalism has proved to be an alternative formulation for nonrelativistic quantum mechanics. We want introduce here a covariant star product in order to extend the star product formalism to relativistic quantum mechanics in the proper time formulation.

We propose a new systematic fibre bundle formulation of nonrelativistic quantum mechanics. The new form of the theory is equivalent to the usual one and is in harmony with the modern trends in theoretical physics and potentially admits new generalizations in different directions. In it the Hilbert space of a quantum system (from conventional quantum mechanics) is replaced with an appropriate Hilbert bundle of states and a pure state of the system is described by a lifting of paths or section along paths in this bundle. The evolution of a pure state is determined through the bundle (analogue of…
This paper defines, on the Galilean space-time, the group of asymptotically Euclidean transformations (AET), which are equivalent to Euclidean transformations at space-time infinity, and proposes a formulation of nonrelativistic quantum mechanics which is invariant under such transformations. This formulation is based on the asymptotic quantum measure, which is shown to be invariant under AET's. This invariance exposes an important connection between AET's and Feynman path integrals, and reveals the nonmetric character of the asymptotic quantum measure. The latter feature becomes even clearer …

The necessary and sufficient conditions for the exactness of the semiclassical approximation for the solution of the Schrödinger and Klein-Gordon equations are obtained. It is shown that the existence of an exact semiclassical solution of the Schrödinger equation determines both the semiclassical wave function and the interaction potential uniquely up to the choice of the boundary conditions. This result also holds for the Klein-Gordon equation. Its implications for the solution of the Wheeler-DeWitt equation for the FRW scalar field minisuperspace models are discussed. In particular, exact se…
Time continues to be an intriguing physical property in the modern era. On the one hand, we have the Classical and Relativistic notion of time, where space and time have the same hierarchy, which is essential in describing events in spacetime. On the other hand, in Quantum Mechanics, time appears as a classical parameter, meaning that it does not have an uncertainty relation with its canonical conjugate. In this work, we use a recent proposed spacetime-symmetric formalism~\href{https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevA.95.032133}{[Phys.~Rev.~A {\bf 95}, 032133 (2017)]} that tries to solve the unbalance…
It is argued that our universe happens to be in a state of statistical equilibrium at the hidden-variable level, such that nonlocality is masked by quantum noise. To account for this 'quantum equilibrium', we outline a subquantum statistical mechanics in configuration space, and an H-theorem analogous to the classical coarse-graining H-theorem. Foundational issues in statistical mechanics are addressed, and an alternative explanation based on 'typicality' is criticised. An estimate is given for the relaxation timescale, and an illustrative numerical simulation is provided. Assuming the univers…

The spin-statistics connection has been proved for nonrelativistic quantum mechanics (Jabs, A., 2010: Found. Phys., {\bf 40}, 776-792). The proof is extended here to the relativistic regime using the parametrized Dirac equation. A causality condition is not required.
In this work a generalization of the consistent histories approach to quantum mechanics is presented. We first critically review the consistent histories approach to nonrelativistic quantum mechanics in a mathematically rigorous way and give some general comments about it. We investigate to what extent the consistent histories scheme is compatible with the results of the operational formulation of quantum mechanics. According to the operational approach nonrelativistic quantum mechanics is most generally formulated in terms of effects, states and operations. We formulate a generalized consiste…
We study the behaviour of a nonrelativistic quantum particle interacting with different potentials in the spacetimes of topological defects. We find the energy spectra and show how they differ from their free-space values.
