Consider the following mechanism for the random evolution of a distribution of mass on the integer lattice ${\mathbf{Z}}$. At unit rate, independently for each site, the mass at the site is split into two parts by choosing a random proportion distributed according to some specified probability measure on $[0,1]$ and dividing the mass in that proportion. One part then moves to each of the two adjacent sites. This paper considers a continuous analogue of this evolution, which may be described by means of a stochastic flow of kernels, the theory of which was developed by Le Jan and Raimond. One of their results is that such a flow is characterized by specifying its $N$ point motions, which form a consistent family of Brownian motions. This means for each dimension $N$ we have a diffusion in ${\mathbf{R}}^N$, whose $N$ coordinates are all Brownian motions. Any $M$ coordinates taken from the $N$-dimensional process are distributed as the $M$-dimensional process in the family. Moreover, in this setting, the only interactions between coordinates are local: when coordinates differ in value they evolve independently of each other. In this paper we explain how such multidimensional diffusions may be constructed and characterized via martingale problems.
Short time kernel asymptotics for rough differential equation driven by fractional Brownian motion

In this paper, we study a particular model of distorted Brownian motion (dBM) on state spaces with varying dimension. Roughly speaking, the state space of such a process consists of two components: a $3$-dimensional component and a $1$-dimensional component. These two parts are joined together at the origin. The restriction of dBM on the $3$- or $1$-dimensional component receives a strong "push" towards the origin. On each component, the "magnitude" of the "push" can be parametrized by a constant $γ>0$. In this article, using probabilistic method, we get the exact expressions for the transitio…
In this article, we consider flat and curved Riemannian symmetric spaces in the complex case and we study their basic integral kernels, in potential and spherical analysis: heat, Newton, Poisson kernels and spherical functions, i.e. the kernel of the spherical Fourier transform. We introduce and exploit a simple new method of construction of these $W$-invariant kernels by alternating sum formulas. We then use the alternating sum representation of these kernels to obtain their asymptotic behavior. We apply our results to the Dyson Brownian Motion on $R^d$.
In this article, we introduce Brownian motion on stable looptrees using resistance techniques. We prove an invariance principle characterising it as the scaling limit of random walks on discrete looptrees, and prove precise local and global bounds on its heat kernel. We also conduct a detailed investigation of the volume growth properties of stable looptrees, and show that the random volume and heat kernel fluctuations are locally log-logarithmic, and globally logarithmic around leading terms of $r^α$ and $t^{\frac{-α}{α+ 1}}$ respectively. These volume fluctuations are the same order as for t…
We consider a diffusion in $\mathbb{R}^n$ whose coordinates each behave as one-dimensional Brownian motions, that behave independently when apart, but have a sticky interaction when they meet. The diffusion in $\mathbb{R}^n$ can be viewed as the $n$-point motion of a stochastic flow of kernels. We derive the Kolmogorov backwards equation and show that for a specific choice of interaction it can be solved exactly with the Bethe ansatz. We then use our formulae to study the behaviour of the flow of kernels for the exactly solvable choice of interaction.
We investigate the problem of nonparametric estimation of the trend for stochastic differential equations with delay and driven by a fractional Brownian motion through the method of kernel-type estimation for the estimation of a probability density function.
Deformation of the heat kernel and the Brownian motion from the perspective of the Ben Saïd--Kobayashi--Ørsted $(k,a)$-generalized Laguerre semigroup theory
We establish the discrete approximation to Brownian motion with varying dimension (BMVD in abbreviation) by random walks. The setting is very similar to that in [11], but here we use a different method allowing us to get rid the restrictions in [11] (or [3]) that the underlying state space has to be bounded, and that the initial distribution of the limiting continuous process has to be its invariant distribution. The approach in this paper is that we first obtain heat kernel upper bounds for the approximating random walks that are uniform in their mesh size, by establishing a Nash-type inequal…
This work concerns stochastic Volterra equations with singular kernels. Under the suitable conditions, we prove the central limit theorem for them. Moreover, we apply our result to stochastic Volterra equations with the kernels of fractional Brownian motions with the Hurst parameter $H\in(0, 1)$.
We construct a class of iterated stochastic integrals with respect to Brownian motion on an abstract Wiener space which allows for the definition of Brownian motions on a general class of infinite-dimensional nilpotent Lie groups based on abstract Wiener spaces. We then prove that a Cameron--Martin type quasi-invariance result holds for the associated heat kernel measures in the non-degenerate case, and give estimates on the associated Radon--Nikodym derivative. We also prove that a log Sobolev estimate holds in this setting.
